Treat Yourself To A Short Fic. In 2k Or Less, Your Whole Day Could Turn Around.

Ya know, with how Japan-themed aspects seem to permeate Dream BBQ, I wouldn’t be surprised if this ENA had some sort of Japanese military influence to her (at least the hat reminded me of those 30-40s militarised school uniforms of theirs). The trailer has gun imagery (and an actual gun) pop up several times. Salesman ENA speaks of the boss as some sort of “target” to hunt down and get rid of, and Froggy saying how they need to “put that dead meat in its place” doesn’t help here. ENA is treated like some sort of ex-war criminal that can never be forgiven for whatever she’s done (or might’ve done). And the scene when ENA is talking to Vending Machine fellow, with her having a flashback(?) where bullets are just dropping from under her hat, shouting “I’m not doing what you say I’m doing!”.

None of that helps with Salesman ENA having some sort of “hitman for hire” vibe to her, in my mind.

Hope you're doing better, but if you're still looking for some good fics, here's some of my favorites from various longforms (that aren't depressing and might cheer you up- Apologies, a lot more of these were Christmas based than I realized- I was reading a lot of fics last month)

All of these come from AO3 by the way- I forgot to mention that

"Christmas Miracle" by Ailendolin (Kind of a crossover of a lot of different plays, mainly Divorces and Teddy Bears, but the second main focus is The Neighbor's Under The Bed) - You've gotta have an AO3 account to read it, and it's got a few sad moments, but I absolutely loved it. The North Pole gets a letter from Janae wishing himself and his brother a better family and they (being Snowdrop and Mr. and Mrs. Claus) try their best to oblige, with a few issues. It's a bit sad but it's got a happy enough ending if you're willing to read through it

There's a lot of Christmas related fluff ones for Inside The Mysterious Cube, so here's a quick list of a few of those that might be nice (A bit out of season, I know, but hey, they're fluffy): "The Joy of Christmas" by RiverBecca, "’Tis the Season" by drownedscribe, and "Their First Ornament" by fullsetandlots

Here's some nice Ditch/The Unrelenting Aubergine fics: "Drink some of this, it'll put color in your cheeks" (in which Titch is out in the snow a little too long and Derek finds him) and "Roadtrip!" (in which they go on a roadtrip) both by an Anonymous user, "Movie Night" by onyxdragonfruit (short and sweet, they have a movie night), "why don't we go where the weather is warm (and we'll finally feel at home)" by seawall (I don't remember this one well, but it's short and sweet so there's that)

And here's one for Lost In Your Eyes: "I See Forever In Your Eyes" by Han_eliza123 which is about Amanda giving Tarquin an early Christmas present (again, out of season but, hey, whatever)

One for The Milkman: "tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow…" by Kilimili is currently incomplete, but I've quite enjoyed it so far which follows Jim/Mr. Steven as he joins in on Hank (Fanon name for the bartender) and Gareth's relationship. Not fluff focused, necessarily, but good vibes overall

And that's all the ones I've read that aren't angsty-

And, just cause they fit the prompt and I know them well enough, here's some of my own (Shadowclaw756) if any of them fit your fancy: "Hugs" (A Ditch fic in which Titch wants and gets some hugs from Derek), "Informal Proposal" (In which Titch decides to propose out of pretty much nowhere), and "Even the Worst Gifts are Made With Love" (Tarquin and Amanda celebrate Christmas together and give each other gifts they think aren't good enough, but they are!)

So I recently watched both Sonic Movies cause I was on a plane and never got the chance to, and wow. Anyway, brain rot hit hard for Stobotnik and so I'll just throw these concepts out into the void of Tumblr for you all, I guess

So like, from the first movie Robotnik's all like "Tell me you should've stopped them" or whatever so it would be kind cool if in the third movie for some parallels (ignoring all the other stuff that would entail, idk I'm tired) either:

Robotnik finds himself in the same position as Stone and has to decide between going after them or checking on Stone (I like to imagine he like shoots at them or orders some robots or whatever to go after them before rushing inside thinking to himself about how he was scolding Stone about this not too long ago and how he should probably go after them still, but... Stone. Or if you're a fan of angst, Robotnik does go after them after some brief deliberation but it turns out Stone is actually really hurt and does need help.)

Or more realistically, somehow Stone is in the situation again and also has to decide the same thing, but like, he remembers how Robotnik wanted him to go after them, so he doesn't go and check because he wants to follow orders or whatever. Idk how Robotnik would really be but I like to imagine he's actually pretty hurt and just kinda waiting like 'where the hell is Stone???' Not realizing that he's just not going to be there

I dunno, use that however I just like those concepts and aren't gonna use them for anything, so I thought I might as well share. Feel free to use them
