TW // teenage drug use and drinking; slight innuendos

During third year, almost everyone in Class 3-A has smoked, done weed, gotten drunk, and experienced the fucked up life that is being a newly legal teenager, except for Bakugou.

Bakugou never went with them to their parties lasting until 4am, never participated when they passed around the pot, hell most of the time he wasn’t even there. For all his bad boy bluster and persona, he has the cleanest record among all of them. (Deku has tried once or twice but he knows Bakugou will kill him if he gets drunk too much by using Auntie Inko).

Now during their final year, they’ve all come to realize that Bakugou is a fucking “tsundere.” He’s mellowed out, cooked for them if they asked (begged and bribed) like a perfect housewife, took care of them during a particularly bad hangover, saw his tiny fucking waist,  and yeah he’s cute. The boys of Class 3-A (because Bakugou is a disaster gay) flirt with him every chance they get.

They make it a point to indulge in their bad habits in front of Bakugou (ex. smoking) and offer him to join, just so Bakugou will refuse and they call him a “good boy” for keeping his slate pure. “Kitten” and “Honey” are thrown around when they’ve come back drunk from another party and Bakugou let’s it slide because they’re tipsy. (They do it on purpose, mostly done by Todoroki, to see Bakugou’s endearing blush and sputtering that he tries to hide).

The boys asks incriminating questions in front of other people (to stake their claim) like asking if Bakugou wants to shotgun smoke or do weed after training. He always answers with “What the fuck is that?” and the class comes up with answers filled with innuendos Bakugou never understands (”I can teach you later, love.”) but everyone else does.

One time during those rare parties that Bakugou joins in on (dragged by Kirishima), the boys offer him a cigarette, as per their routine. But this time, Bakugou actually takes it. Their resident best smoker, Todoroki because it comes with his quirk, tries to explain how to properly do it so he won’t choke but Bakugou quickly brushes him off. He lights the end of the cigarette using sparks from his hand with practiced ease and inhales deeply as he closes his eyes. 

Everyone’s freaking out inside because “How does he know how to do this?” yet their still reeling how fucking hot it looks. Then, Bakugou puffs out a perfect series of smoke rings that takes experience to create with a shit eating grin. What’s worse is that those rings are generally made for a smoke shotgunning partner to inhale, meaning Bakugou has shotgunned before. 

After they get off their initial shock, they harbor jealously inside under their thoughts on how good Bakugou looks because “Who the fuck taught him how to do that? Who did he smoke with?” Well, Bakugou can’t say they’re wrong, he learned it all from Kariage.

kariage and bakugou haven’t talked in a long time. after katsuki went to UA they lost contact and stopped talking to each other even though they were best friends. until one day katsuki is out with the bakusquad plus the rest of 1A. they’re at the mall just looking around having a fun time. until someone pushed bakugo. they were just messing around but he got caught off balance and fell. and landed in someone’s arms. he looks up and sees kariage who has changed so much but is still the same old bad boy he definitely didn’t have a crush on. but he caught him like his knight in shining armor.

“guess you’ve fallen for me huh”

and all katsuki can do is blush while he stares at those dark brown eyes that used to be so familiar.

If you guys catch me replying to asks like a month late, no you didn’t <33 No, but, for real, I love this. Like, Katsuki and Kariage losing contact despite being best friends is just so sad and real, because you know it had to have affected Katsuki a lot. After all, they’d been friends since they were kids, add Katsuki’s obvious need for affection and desire to be understood onto that and Katsuki’s probably feeling pretty shitty. But, since there’s no way to get back into contact with Kari, he’s left feeling so lonely, not that he’d ever willingly admit it. And, on some random day, he’s out with the idiot brigade and the rest of his loser class at the mall. And, like always, they’re always so touchy-feely. He doesn’t understand how they could just poke and nudge and shove at each other so easily when touch, for Katsuki, hasn’t felt right in a whole year. Hasn’t felt good or safe and warm, which is why he dodges, ducks, bends away from the wayward, wandering hands of his classmates. And, then, out of nowhere, Shitty Hair knocks into him. Katsuki knows immediately that it wasn’t purposeful - unlike the other idiots, Kirishima knows to respect his boundaries, and he doesn’t go out of his way to tease and touch him when Katsuki obviously doesn’t want it - because Shitty Hair jolts away right after and opens his mouth to apologize. It doesn’t matter, though, because Katsuki’s already tripped forward and he’s falling and -

Someone catches him.

It wasn’t necessary, of course. Katsuki’s a Hero-in-training, he would’ve easily been able to regain his own balance if some random stranger wasn’t there to grab onto his waist and steady him. So, Katsuki straightens and looks up, already preparing to step back and put space between himself and the hands on him, and stops.

Because the person who caught Katsuki isn’t a stranger, and the feeling of the not-stranger’s hands on him suddenly don’t make him feel like bugs are crawling under the surface of his skin, doesn’t make him feel cold, doesn’t make him feel wrong. No, the touch feels nice, and the sheer surprise of that is what makes Katsuki stutter when he blurts out the name of the not-stranger, who’s hands are gripping him protectively: “K - Kariage?”

Kariage, the boy Katsuki used to visit arcades with, used to tell off for his nasty smoking habit, used to laugh with, used to love. Kariage, smelling of smoke and leather and the cheap vanilla cologne he used to wear back in middle school, with his messy undercut and pierced ears and half-lidded eyes, caught Katsuki. He grins down at the blond-haired boy, smug in a way Katsuki has missed, and huffs out a short laugh.

“Guess ya fell for me, huh?” he teases, dark eyes sparkling with mirth, and Katsuki can do nothing but fall in love all over again.

God, I adore the concept of Katsuki and Kariage being together for just everything. Through the good and the bad and everything in between, through tears and laughter and victory and defeat, they’ve been by each other’s side for it all and that’s just perfectly sweet.

The idea of them creating a code just to make sure they never feel unsafe or uncomfortable around each other?? I love it. Just the thought or Katsuki feeling so wrong after the Sludge Villain Incident, constantly flinching from touch and having to choke back the feeling of cold slime sliding down his throat, choking him is so extremely sad. And, Kariage always being on guard becuase he’s been conditioned to expect slaps and hits and hurt from the people meant to love him the most is absolutely heartbreaking.

But, then, Kariage and Katsuki acknowledging that it’s okay to be not okay, and them coming together to make sure neither one of them feels bad with the other boy? Hi, yes, I am crying.

Them knowing each other so well that not even a word has to be spoken for them to understand? I love it. Their safe spaces and little tells and the comfort is so adorable, and I freaking adore how they always make sure it’s okay to hug and hang around the other boy to make sure no boundaries are crossed. They’re both boys who’ve been raised to be strong above all else, and the thought of them knowing they don’t always have to be the pinnacle of strength with each other is so soft.

The rest of the Katsucrew picking up on the little code and starting to use it on the daily is just another bonus that makes this whole concept even better, because here’s this ragtag bunch of kids who’re the exact opposite of perfect - they fight a lot and stumble around each other’s thoughts and feelings and they make mistakes because they’re kids - but they try, and they’re there for each other through the highs and lows and plateaus, and that’s all that matters in the end, isn’t it?

BAKUGOU HEADCANON 28

(if you catch me replying to asks months late, nO YOU DIDN’T)

Kariage (undercut-kun) and Bakugou have been dating since middle school, it’s in context that they’ve spent years getting to know each other, working around one another’s insecurities and weaknesses. Kariage especially to Bakugou, after the sludge villain, sports festival, kidnapping, fights, etc., he’s been there.

He and Bakugou devised a code or secret language if you will, right after the sludge villain incident. Two consecutive taps must be done first if you’re going to initiate physical affection towards one another, and wait for 2 seconds if the other is going to shake their head as a no. If not, then the physical touch is welcome. 

This is done to not surprise Bakugou or Kariage at the sudden contact, to not activate their fight or flight response. This stemmed from Bakugou’s traumas of people grabbing him and Kariage with his abusive parents. It’s a simple secret act between the two of them, yet important nonetheless as it shows consent.

Another is four consecutive taps meaning that they feel unsafe or their anxiety is spiking up. No matter where they are or what they’re doing, they stop and try to leave (if they’re with other people) and goes to a certain safe place, like Bakugou’s room or under their tree at the park, until the person feels comfortable again. No questions asked between the two of them, they give the other space or affection depending on the mood and wait until they tap 2 times to signify they’re okay again.

With this, they built trust and boundaries, something Bakugou’s other friends may lack or ignore. They build comfort and protection, because no matter how strong Kariage seems to be, there are times when things become overbearing. They’ve been doing this for years and the other members of the Katsucrew or Aldera Gang (dubbed by @hitheryon) has caught up on their signs and makes it a habit to watch out for those subtle taps initiated to know how to cheer their friends up or to give them time and space.

Kariage and Bakugou know their friends have realized and seen their private codes already and they couldn’t be happier as the signs they use become an unspoken thing between the group. No questions asked, they’re simply there for one another. They might not be perfect, but they’ll go through everything and anything together.

!!! Hi, yes, I’d like to establish that Kari calling Katsuki any and all petnames currently occupies every braincell I have to spare. Like, the concept of Katsuki, someone most people see as this tough, uber masculine guy just absolutely melting at being called baby and honey, and angel? It’s perfect, it’s literally so freaking amazing and I love it.

And, I absolutely adore how no one says a thing about it. They hear Katsuki be called these sugar sweet terms of endearment and immediately wanna tease him, but then, they see him smile? They see him blush bright red and look away shyly with a small, cute smile and gently shove and Kariage, and he’s looks so happy. Aizawa and the Bakusquad can’t find it in themselves to take that away, and I love that. 

Because, with all the shit Katsuki’s had to deal with and been put through, all the pain and shame and hurt, he deserves everything good. And, if a little petname or two make him happy then that’s perfectly okay.

Hey, I hope school gets better for you, soon! I can definitely relate to the stress and it sucks that you have to deal with that >:( Regardless, I got a headcanon for Kariage, if that's cool! Personally, he gives me the vibe of someone who uses a million and one petnames for his partner, and Baku would 100% be subject to this. I just find it so cute to think about how Baku would react to all the cutesy nicknames and how *others*, like the Bakusquad and Aizawa, would react to them as well! :)

Also!! Yes! I totally agree.

He just has that energy of someone who’s incredibly cocky, very confident and likes to tease and toy with people, that’s the reason he first uses pet-names, he just likes the way it makes Katsuki stutter and blush and tell him to fuck off.

But then, once they get together, he does it because he knows fine well how much Katsuki loves it. He knows because he’s seen that soft little smile that appears on Katsuki’s face whenever he calls him anything remotely sweet.

So he calls him baby, sweetheart, angel, anything and everything he can think of, just to get Katsuki to smile at him like that.

And I think that the first time the class/Aizawa hear Kariage call him pet-names they’re so damn ready to tease him. They’re already thinking of what they’re going to say at him, a lot of them are a few seconds away from laughing at the scene. But then they see the way Katsuki reacts, the smile, the blush, the way he looks down at the floor and bites his lip and slaps Kariage’s shoulder, the taller boy just looking down at him and smiling all proud and smug, and suddenly they have nothing to say. They know that if they say anything, if they do something awful as laugh, it would affect Katsuki, it would make him feel embarrassed and ashamed of liking something as sweet and soft as pet-names. So they keep their mouths shut and pretend they didn’t hear or see anything.

Ooh, okay so it’s been a good. Three months since I’ve posted anything haha whoops. Anyways, I’m just posting this to let everyone (who’re not in the server) that I’m still alive - I just have not been very active. Yikes.

Yeah, so my lack of activity is mostly because my work schedule kind of ramped up and my diploma work has gotten increasingly more difficult (sigh). My computer, which is what I use 99% of the time to write with, also broke and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get it fixed. In the time since I haven’t posted, my adoration for both KariBaku and the Katsucrew waned enough that it went on the backburner of my interests, especially since I got super into Attack on Titan for a good while (still am, to be honest).

However!! I’ve recently (aka like. two days ago) reawakened my obsession with this little ‘verse of mine so!! I’m not gonna make any promises about how much I’ll post, or when I can finally get around to actually fleshing out my fics, but I’ll be answering ALL of the asks I have in my inbox (some that’ve been there for months, sheesh) and I’ll be making attempts at posting more, including some of the backlog of drafts I have!!

It’s not just the fact that his boyfriend is beautiful and stunning, it’s not even about the fact that he feels privileged to be the only one that gets to touch him in this gentle way, it’s because of the way Katsuki reacts.

He swears it’s like the boy has never been touched by anyone in his life. Every time he holds his hand Katsuki’s face blushes all pink and pretty. Whenever they’re in bed and he’s gently trailing his fingertips over Katsuki’s back the blond shivers and trembles and gets goosebumps all over his body. Whenever he kisses him it’s like Katsuki gets completely lost in the moment, he makes him feel as if they’re all that matters in the world.
