Question for Plus Size / Fat / Chubby / Whatever word you prefer fanfiction readers.

I just saw a post that said the reader/poster hasn’t read an actual fanfiction with a x plus size character that made them feel beautiful / wanted. They basically said that most fanfictions with chubby readers make them feel gross and weird, which is awful. It really stuck with me.

I know everyone’s different concerning what they like and don’t like, but I was wondering if y’all could comment and explain what makes you feel good and what doesn’t make you feel so good when you read fics surrounding chubby characters?

Dude I hate how in order to know the reader is fat for a chubby reader insert people always comment negatively about readers/your weight 🧍🏽‍♀️ Like wtf just use descriptions like a normal person 😭 Please omg!

Of course this doesn’t apply to all inserts especially when a writer points out that they’ll be doing this for plot sake. But omg when it’s just a normal chubby reader insert and they do this it irks me so baddd😩 it’s even worse when they don’t describe the reader as chubby or having common fat people features and instead opt for people being mean about the inserts weight!

Like bruh omg 😭 Pls stop this 😔 and to put icing on the cake the insert is always insecure too like can fat people just exist without being self loathing for once?? 🤨

Before I became a writer on here it just made me a little annoyed but now that I write for chubby reader personally it actually pisses me a off a little bit. Because I know firsthand because I write fics and series and whatnot—how easy it is to just put a few descriptive words in!! Words that make chubby people feel noticed and cared for UGH!! 🙄

Why do all chubby reader fanfics have to have the reader being degraded and humiliated, LIKE it’ll start with some sexy or awesome concept in the story and then boom, submissive reader. LIKE PLEASE FEED ME SOME DOM PLUSIZED ACTION. But when I do find one It ends up poorly written and rushed or to short. HELPP
