One of the most abso-fucking-lutely frustrating and terrible useful and effective methods of studying I’ve found is to practice simultaneous interpretation. What’s awesome is you can do this anytime your target OR native language is being spoken, as interpretation works both ways.
For instance, when watching the news at night, if I’m not multitasking in some other way, I’ll just start doing my best (no matter how terrible it sounds/how much I don’t know) to interpret it out loud into Russian (or sometimes Spanish or French). You can also do this in your head if there are other people in your house – that’s what I normally do.
Because you’re not interpreting for anyone, it doesn’t matter how badly you do. What’s important is simply practicing the rapid recall of words as they appear at native speed.
Interpreting into your target language is obviously much harder than interpreting from it, so for upper-intermediate learners it can be extremely helpful to find a news source in your target language. For instance, in Spanish and Russian I am advanced enough to try interpreting into it (again, albeit with MANY mistakes – but I’m not doing it for anyone but myself so it doesn’t matter). However, my French sucks. It used to be okay, and it is getting better, but I would not (and have never) called myself “advanced” at it [hopefully within a couple years]. Thus, it is easier to interpret French into English.
Here are some of the resources I use to do so:
French:
France24
EuroNews en Français
France Info
TV5Monde
France.TV
Streema France
rfi - Les Voix du Monde
There were all found via google and the same can easily be done for any language. Streema is a great resource for any country – for instance Streema Spain and Streema Mexico and Streema Russia – definitely an amazing resource that probably deserves its own post.
I hope this helps!

Glitter & Gold - Spellbound
Hands down, the best Umbrella Academy video edit I’ve seen.
Better than the trailers even.

“Shit.Shitshitshit”You quickly ran around your room trying to find a clean shirt and any type of bottoms. You didn’t care. You were about an hour late to school and the only reason you woke up was because your boyfriend had been blowing up your phone with texts and calls.Five missed calls and forty-five text messages to be exact. You didn’t tell him you were missing school, which you normally did so he was probably freaking out

Did you know there is an app for read fanfictions from Ao3???
Is called "Fanfic Pocket Library"
I was using "Archive Track Reader", but in my opinion it was quite confusing.
In fanfic pocket library you can use your Ao3 account and download the fanfiction.
Btw, if there's any other app that you use, please tell me ❤️❤️
(the photos are just an example of how it works, but I'm actually loving this fanfic so I recommend)
these are small things you can add to your day to be 10% more productive with the estimated time it’ll take! these are things i do (or try to do) most days. they’re small enough to feel manageable, and i for sure don’t use all of them but i find that when i use at least 2-3 in a day i feel a lot better about the material.
retype notes in google docs (10-15 min/1 hour lecture)
Utilize pomodoro technique for at least one subject (25 min work/5 min break. total 30 min)
Look over notes before class (5 min)
Look over notes after class (5 min)
Make notecard summary after class (i find this one especially useful for calculus!) (10 min/notecard)
Explain short concept to a friend (10 min max)
write down to-do list of tasks (5 min)
Go over concepts in your head on your walk to class (absolute FAVORITE because of my daily calculus quizzes within the first 10 minutes of class) (as long as your walk is!)
i hope these are helpful, i need to learn more small tips myself too 😊
