Another year, another #hiddlesweek! 

As we’re running a little late for this year’s hiddlesweek we’ve decided to go with last year’s prompts!

As a reminder here they are:

Day One (Feb 3rd): Favorite Trait/Quirk (tagged as “twh: trait”)

Physical traits or quirks such as “the lip thing,” “talking with hands,” are some examples of this, but there is no set limit to what counts as a “quirk.” Could also include verbal quirks such as “Bless you” or “sorry,” but again, these are simply suggestions. Some traits may include a personally trait, for example, his kindness, or others, like his tendency to dance or his laugh.

Day Two (Feb 4th): Favorite Interview (tagged as “twh: interview”)

Nerd HQ, Time Talks 2012 or 2015, Muse of Fire, Jenelle Riley - Tom’s a talkative man, and there’s a lot of interviews where he does exactly that. Which one did he say your favorite quote? Or tell your favorite story, maybe answer a question you’d been wondering for a while? This day is open for long interviews like Popcorn Taxi or even little ones like videos from the Avengers promo.

Day Three (Feb 5th): Favorite Outfit/Look (tagged as “twh: look”)

This day is for your favorite outfit, look, hairstyle, etc. of Tom’s. If you enjoy him in a suit the most, maybe Victorian ones, or perhaps you like Jonathan Pine’s casual wear, that’s what you can make the post about. If you absolutely love his ginger hair, that’s another option. It’s up to you. Since there isn’t a specific photoshoot prompt this year, you can chose to highlight your favorite photoshoot if there is a certain one that’s your favorite!

Day Four (Feb 6th): Favorite Role (tagged as “twh: role”)

Any of Tom’s roles apply to this prompt. Theatre, film, television, or even radio if you would like to make an audio post. Is it Thomas Sharpe, or Loki, or Coriolanus? Show us which role holds your heart.

Day Five (Feb 7th): Role You’d Like to See Him In (tagged as “twh: fan role”)

Maybe Tom hasn’t done what you’d really like to see him in yet! Dying to see him as Richard III in a Shakespeare production, or Percy in the Scarlet Pimpernel? What about Bond. James Bond. Show us which role you want to see him in! Think of it as an AU day.

Day Six (Feb 8th): Favorite Quote (tagged as “twh: quote”)

Pretty self explanatory. Can be either a quote from Tom or one of his characters.

Day Seven (Feb 9th): Happy 37th Birthday! (tagged as “twh: bday”)

It’s Tom’s birthday!! That means that it’s time to celebrate! Make whatever you want to wish him an excellent year! On this day we will also be reblogging miscellaneous posts that are not tagged as “hiddlesweek” but are in celebration of his birthday.

Just a reminder: MCU St*rker shippers? Don’t interact with me. I do not ship your ship, I will never ship your ship, I think it’s gross (to a nauseating degree like my stomach legitimately curls at the thought of it) and I do not want exposure to it even through a blogger’s url. 

If you’re underage and shipping it, I do not mean to sound like I am harshly judging you, because you’re young, and I get it, I was into older dudes when I was a kid. Hopefully you’ll grow out of it and realize why it’s so revolting and morally despicable one day. (Please educate yourself on this now though because you really shouldn’t be shipping something like this.)

I hate “pop” country ...but I will always stop and sing George (Jones and/or Strait), Garth 😋, Waylon, Hank Sr. & Jr., Merle, or any of the other classic country artists. If it’s before the turn of this century, I like it...and I will never sing “Before He Cheats”. That was popular when my relationship went to shit because he cheated, and I hate it 😠😡🤬😤

Everyone may *think* they hate country music, but when Jolene, Before He Cheats, Take Me Home Country Roads, or Life is a Highway comes on, everyone is suddenly a liar.

A HOME FOR ANGELO

This is Angelo.

I saw Angelo one day a few weeks ago when I was going through Union Square here in NYC, where I live. He was sitting on the sidewalk at a dog adoption event with a volunteer. He was wrapped tight in a blanket and was resting on his friend’s lap. I got my own dog from the same adoption event three years ago. For some reason, I stopped and sat down next to Angelo and started asking about him. There was just something about him.

The volunteer with him said that Angelo has been in foster care ever since he was found tied to a tree in Brooklyn. When found, Angelo was neglected and afraid. That was five years ago. Angelo has never had a good home. He lives in shelters and foster homes, and spends his weekends at dog adoption events. Other dogs come and go, and Angelo remains. 

Angelo was very eager for scratches and was giving a lot of kisses.

He has been well cared for by Mighty Mutts and a series of dedicated volunteers, but he has never had owners to love him. The volunteer I spoke to had been working with Angelo for a year. Every Saturday, he comes and sits with Angelo and people walk past him. He said, “I’ve been doing this for fifteen years and Angelo is one of the greatest dogs I’ve ever worked with.”

I got that right away. There was a reason I stopped.

So I sat there for a little while. At one point, one of the puppies got his tail stepped on and yelped. Angelo immediately stood up to check on the puppy, and then checked every other dog on the adoption line.

There is something about Angelo.

This year has been terrible, but I’m not letting 2016 go without making something good of it. So I am determined to get Angelo adopted to a good home. I tweeted about him, and some great people were interested in Angelo, but they were either too far or already had dogs. So here are the details on Angelo:

Angelo lives in New York, so he’d have to be adopted in the area so that Mighty Mutts can do a home visit before adoption. He should ideally be the only dog in the house, though he is good with other dogs. (I had my dog with me, and the two got along great and gave each other kisses. There were a lot of kisses involved in this whole affair.) He would be best suited with someone who has had experience with dogs, because he is a big, lovable guy. He is about eight now, so he is mellow. He has a lot of energy, but loves a cuddle and will likely sleep snuggled up with you if he can.

His volunteer said that for the right application (really make the case, maybe send a video?) he would be willing to drive somewhere within about a five hour radius of New York to do the home visit himself. 

Angelo has spent his life without a real home. If you are in or around NYC and have been considering a dog, consider Angelo. If you can’t adopt him, please spread the word to anyone you know in the area.

As for the enamel pins, they will be bigger and better than my previous pins! In comparison, my Sherlock pin series were about 3cm-3.5cm in height. These will be between 4.5cm - 5.5 cm in height. And the Bucky-Rocket pin is estimated to be about 9cm wide.

The campaign ends on June 29. The way Kickstarter operates is: If it is unable to raise the funds, nobody would be charged any money and the entire project would have to be scrapped, which is why I really hope that this campaign can meet its goals and be a success.

he’s been an american hero long before iron man/tony.

and he’s james rhodes with or without a suit.

don’t sleep on james rhodes. he’s one of the best characters in the mcu and y’all too stupid to see that. james rhodes has accomplished a thousand and one things on his own without the help of his best friend, tony stark.

stop equating rhodey’s relevance to tony’s character. he’s so much more than his relation to tony. think about how he served his country, how he fully educated himself with a thousand obstacles ahead of him, think about how he’s still serving his country and fighting the good fight while being disabled. rhodey was a hero long before the armor and don’t you f*cking forget it.
