Dean should be willing to do things for Sam or Cas at a moments notice, but being asked to do anything by the people they love is a horrible burden and should be recognized as such by the person inconveniencing them. Any relationship that inconveniences my fave is bad. But I do expect him to get all of the benefits of a relationship while contributing nothing—not even basic displays of care for another person such as answering the phone or checking in to say “I’m okay.”

Like yeah people can ask too much of you sometimes. However, part of being in a relationship with someone else means being willing to be inconvenienced by them. at no point in the show does dean ever deny having romantic feelings for cas. every time hes teased, mocked, or its even brought up he just dodges the question (shut ur face get in the car (cassie parallel who he was in love with), he was ur boyfriend first, etc) and despite the numerous opportunities to deny their attraction towards each other, never does dean go “no gross”, or “no i dont like cas like that”, or literally any form of denial, dean just kinda takes it and swallows full innuendo intended and then changes the subject as fast as possible. cas was the same, every time people point out their relationship (all to save one man, he likes you, whos in love with you, thought you two were joined at the everything, etc) he never says “no its not like that” or anything to deny it. what im saying is that they 1) both were in love with each other, 2) both could not verbally bring themselves to deny it, and 3) only difference is that cas got to speak his truth and confess and dean never even got the chance.

dean and cas having an argument about something in the middle of a case and cas warns dean he needs to move and dean stubbornly crosses his arms and glares at cas, muttering, “not fuckin’ happening.” cas moves forward and snags dean by the waist, hoisting dean up in one smooth motion that happens so fast dean doesn’t even see it coming until he’s manhandled and caught up in cas’ arms. dean wants to argue and get defensive, yet all that happens is a soft shaky gasp falls from his lips and his hand wraps around cas’ bicep, and all dean’s mind can do is think ‘oh god oh god oh god, he’s so strong’
