dean really would be the type who says “my husband” all. the. time. there’s a picture of him and cas on the beach that he texts to sam with the caption “my husband and I” and sam rolls his eyes and is like “I know who your husband is, dean.” sometimes dean is at the farmers market buying a new homemade tie for cas (who is currently at the honey station) and dean smiles at the lady who made the ties and he says “this is for my husband.” and sometimes, dean is curled up with cas on the couch, and he leans in to press his lips to cas’ and he murmurs against cas’ mouth “my husband” and cas utterly beams as he kisses dean back
What they say: Dean is needy
What they mean: Asking Sam or Cas to do anything, ever, is horrible and mean and evil. Dean should be willing to do things for Sam or Cas at a moments notice, but being asked to do anything by the people they love is a horrible burden and should be recognized as such by the person inconveniencing them. Any relationship that inconveniences my fave is bad. But I do expect him to get all of the benefits of a relationship while contributing nothing—not even basic displays of care for another person such as answering the phone or checking in to say “I’m okay.”
Like yeah people can ask too much of you sometimes. However, part of being in a relationship with someone else means being willing to be inconvenienced by them. And some Samgirls and casgirls don't think their fave should ever be inconvenienced, and that anyone in their live (DEAN) asking for anything ever is manipulation and a violation of their autonomy.
make me choose:
@spookylestat (💜) asked Loustat or Spuffy? @gavotteangel asked Frank/Julia or Lestat/Louis?
“i’m straight, but i’d make an exception for ______” dean winchester edition and the list just keeps getting longer and longer and sam is sitting there tight-lipped, Tired, holding himself back with every ounce of strength he possesses like, one more. he adds one more and i’m going to start reading the bisexuality wiki aloud
one thing I love about s1 loustat is how fundamentally incompatible their needs are. lestat acts out in his relationship because he needs his partner to prove they will never leave him, despite his flaws. louis needs faithfulness because he doesn’t believe that he’s enough for someone after always being made to feel like he was less than others. neither of them is capable of communicating this. in fact, they’re completely unaware of it themselves. still, they’re mad that the other one doesn’t get it, and they’re not above punishing each other for that.
I relate to Buffy sm ✌
Cas: looking like a middle-aged accountant
Dean: looking great, sweetie 😍😍
Queercoding in early supernatural compared to late supernatural is soooo funny to me cause in season 5 its like heres ben edlund making an incredibly layered episode with subtle nods to destiel to get past censors that people write essays about to analyze its themes. Now heres season 12 where cas just said i love you and it cut to dean three times in a row but the show is just gonna pretend it didnt do that
spuffy + making the same joke while fighting for their lives
look at them. perceive.
