Calling all L4D2 fans and animators!

The opening sequence of Left 4 Dead 2 remains iconic after more than 15 years since the game’s release. So, I am hosting a re-animated project where we recreate the game’s intro from scratch!

If you’re not familiar with the concept of re-animated projects, they’re collaborations between multiple animators where they recreate an existing media, such as short films, episodes from animated shows, etc.

In this project, all types of animation are welcome! Be it 2D, 3D, SFM, stop-motion, live action, you name it. Additionally, you don’t have to be an expert, all levels are welcome.

after eight years, I finally updated my huge Historical Fashion Reference & Resources Doc! Now in the form of a MUCH more easily updated Google Doc with better organization, refreshed links, and five more pages of books and online resources.

no matter your PC specs, you can play it. the game was designed to run on 2002 hardware. there is a 99% chance the game will run on your build.

the original Silent Hill 2 is abandonware, so you need not worry about the ethics of piracy.

after you install the game, be sure to patch it to turn it into the Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition.

the Enhanced Edition will let it run on modern builds and vastly improve the framerate and graphics.

you don't need to have any prior knowledge of computers to patch the game. follow the very easy instructions on the website. the game will essentially patch itself.
