Okay, so… I’m late to the party, but I want to give my thoughts on Fionna and Cake’s finale and on PetriGrof. Aka I am overanalyzing a TV show.
The finale fell pretty short of delivering the payoff everyone wanted. But I don't hate it. I just wish it was handled differently.
Simon and Betty's relationship was codependent, in that they both relied on each other for emotional and physical support.
Their relationship was built on shared interests, which created a balance between the two of them. However, we see that they still desired different things in life.
The final season ultimately gave them the opportunity to find their own direction and purpose in life independent of each other, which could have been a powerful message, but Simon seems to take on a lot of the blame for Betty's actions, as if he pressured her into making these sacrifices for him. This undermines Betty as a character and her ability to make her own choices. It perpetuates a misogynistic stereotype, and I’m disappointed.
But what I do like, is that by fusing with Golb, Betty has achieved her ultimate goal of protecting Simon from any further harm. Golb is a force of chaos and destruction, so by becoming one with him, Betty has essentially ensured that Simon will never be threatened. This can be seen as a form of closure for her, as she has finally let go of her obsession with protecting Simon and encourages him to build a life without her. I think this is demonstrated well at the stop when Simon refers to her as his everything while Betty calls him an experience. Betty has moved on, so to speak. Which is not a bad thing.
The truth is, there's always a chance someone you love could become someone that you used to know (LOL). They cannot be your everything, and I really do like this message, even if it was kind of subpar in execution.
There’s a book out there that’s either one of the last great unsolved cyphers or a massive medieval hoax. Welcome to the weird world of the Voynich Manuscript. And no, it isn’t solved yet.
I did this comic for The Nib last year (The Nib is an amazingly great place for comics on Medium if you don’t know that already). You can follow all my work on Medium here.
Once you learn the basics of laying your pathways you can quickly and efficiently lay them throughout your town!
It’s really simple now that you know the pattern in which they lay down! It doesnt matter what way your character is facing. The pathways will always lay in the same pattern.
Under you
To the Front
Front Right
Front Left
Back Right
Back Left
If you have squares that were previously laid down then the new path will continue to follow the same pattern but skip around the pathways that are already on the ground! **TIP for laying vertical pathways**
Hope this is helpful for everyone! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send me an ask! I will try my best to help every one who needs it!
Imagine Maya Fey watering Charley and thinking of Mia.
I only do these screencaps twice a month. I promise the next one will be a happy one (credits for the background)
the truth hit so hard the chest despawned :c

You know what sucks about the decline of AMVs not being as popular anymore? In the early to mid-2000s… that literally used to be how I found new songs to listen to. Having music that made me think directly of one character/show, and then I’d just blast that on loop, while keeping the amv for visuals.
Those were good days. To the people who still make amvs… I appreciate and respect the heck outta ya, you beautiful creators you. Rock on.
