HAPPY NEWYEAR!!!! :D

Spydad makes me feral in a way I can not truly describe. Spy, an absent father, an asshole who deep down really wants to get to know the son he never stayed for. Scout's mother still loves him. Her other children don't care if he's around or not. But the opinion of the mercenary that is his own flesh and blood is what he cares most for.

The fact that the other mercs probably know. The fact Sniper and Heavy DO know. How Heavy brings up Scout's father. How Sniper urges Spy to do something during his son's 'final' moments.

The fact that Spy granted Scout a petty mercy by being someone who Scout sees a father in, and not himself. By telling him what he's yearned to through another's mouth. Does it kill him inside? I think it does.

And Scout, if he ever found out, would he kick and scream at the revelation? What if he knows already? What if the dreams are fueled by denial. What if Scout sees how similar him and Spy really are?

And when Spy tells him, how would Scout react? Surely, he'd be angry. He'd punch and Spy would take it.

But Scout is his mother's son.

Scout, after yelling and telling Spy just how much he hates him... Scout goes in for a hug that takes Spy by surprise.

Scout says he still hates him.

Scout says he doesn't forgive him.

But he could learn to, if Spy learns to be a father.

And Spy hugs back because, yes, he wants to learn. He's been wanting to learn for twenty or so years.

A gentle reminder to anyone in the TF2 fandom that got let down by comic #7:

Just because it’s the canon ending, doesn’t mean you don’t get a choice in how things play out. You can do what you want with the characters and create your own ending to the story.

The beauty of fandom is being able to share your opinions from a different perspective. Your ideas matter, and it’s okay to disregard things that are canon if you choose to do so. It’s fictional.

Making something new and changing things up from the original story shouldn’t be frowned upon, but encouraged. You should feel comfortable being able to do that.

Scouts the kind of passenger to talk your ear off for the first hour and then sleep through the rest of the ride. This has been sitting unfinished for a really long time and im tired of looking at it so Im deciding to just post it. It was originally suppose to be a 3 panel thing where scout is talking a lot in the first, 2nd he looks bored and 3rd asleep. This is one of the reasons i decided to start practicing drawing them because i wasn't getting it right at all. Maybe ill re-do this when im a little more confident.

This might just be them.

TF2 Mugs

Because I can't stop thinking about their daily lifestyles!

Scout's one is a limited edition Benny The Rabbit™ cup, "high quality plastic", he says, "can hold cold AND hot drinks... NO, IT'S NOT FOR CHILDREN, Benny is clearly a cartoon for adults!"

Pyro, surprisingly, didn't make their mug themselves (they have problems at the "firing" part) but instead this one was obtained at the local thrift market. Pyro loved this one silly handmade clay mug so much and, not quite understanding how money works, they put on the counter a sum worth the salesgirl's entire year's work.

Engineer, apparently, doesn't use things (in this case, mugs) that he didn't make himself. We asked him why, expecting him to not trust the quality of mass market or something but it turned out to be much funnier: when something is not at hand he makes it himself, and then he loses this self-made one too, and the cycle repeats itself. There are several of these mugs lost on the base apparently...

Demo's mug Is a party mug! You can never know what's inside!.. Yeah no, of course you can. He got this one from that time he hanged out with hippies. It was all fun and chill and groovy until Demo mentioned where he works. Got kicked out immediately. Hurt, he took this mug with him as a revenge move.

Despite being otherwise tidy with everything, Medic never washes his mug. He says that the periods when there's no coffee inside are too short to pay attention to them. He also said that we should stop sticking our noses in his "abfalleimer". (Hold on, isn't it a beer mug..?)

And the Spy's cup is the most interesting... He never uses it outside of his room, no one saw him drink out of anything but glass. But this one is a starry tea cup. Why are there stars? Does it mean anything? Maybe there's a metaphor that he's far away but the bright star will always show him the way home... Someone is always waiting him behind the seven seas, someone who would pour him some tea in this cup... We will never know because when he found us breaking into his room, he kicked us out at the gunpoint.

(I want people to talk more about what the mercs' life on their base is like, more detailed headcanons about them being neighbours and stuff like that...)
