Tged affirmations - Part 2
(All of these are light-hearted btw!)
I'm simping so hard over this rn-
KaiShin art dump
Deadserious soulmate prompt idea.
Everyone has a mark somewhere on their skin that represents the place where they'll first have their fated touch them.
Danny has an unusual one, a dark green imprint of hands has taken up the majority of his throat for his entire life.
Damian isn't upset by his lack of soulmark, or he didn't use to be,over the years that changed. But as it turns out, he did have a soulmark! Just not one that was visible from the outside.
Just how did he have an icy blue handprint over his actual beating heart.
KaiShin is an incredibly interesting ship because its characters’ canon is presented in a very unique manner that is so rare.
They are both the protagonist of their own respective series. But they both have appearances in each other’s series. It’s very rare to have a big franchise show and a spin-off of it that both center characters who regularly cross over.
And to unlock the full KaiShin potential, you simply have to watch both Detective Conan and Magic Kaito, because only when you watch both shows do you realize that this is absolutely mutual pining.
If you watch Detective Conan, you get everything from Shinichi’s POV. You are presented with KID as this elusive, enigmatic and charming gentleman thief whose actions seem very random because you don’t really know his motivation. But you get to watch Shinichi slowly grow fond of the thief, you watch him reminiscent about KID (so, so, so many shots of Conan thinking in a voice-over about KID while a large image of KID is projected into the background. So many), you have him smile as he thinks about KID and you get direct insight into his thoughts about KID.
And, truly, he thinks about KID a lot. You see Shinichi, who always catches every criminal, let KID go repeatedly, voluntarily, with flimsy excuses, up to the point where they regularly work together. And you just sit there, going, “well damn, son, you sure are in love, huh”.
And then you watch Magic Kaito and you see Kaito getting visually more giddy when he spots Conan in a crowd, you see Kaito watch Conan with a smile and observe as Conan figures out more and more of the trick, you hear Kaito’s thoughts and conversations with his assistant about how much more of a challenge it is with Conan around how if Conan is there, Kaito has to show him, specifically, “brilliant magic”.
It’s just Magic Kaito canon that Kaito designs his most breathtaking magic shows specifically for Shinichi. And you just sit there, going, “well damn, son, you sure are in love, huh”.
Only by watching both Magic Kaito and Detective Conan parallel do you unlock the knowledge that “oh shit, those dumbasses are both in love” and I think that is very beautiful and also incredibly unique, because you rarely get to have such an insight into the thoughts of both characters to this extend.
It’s basically like watching a slow-burn fanfiction where both try to woo the other while simultaneously also being completely oblivious to the way the other person is looking at them and the effort they put in. And I think that’s beautiful.
hakuba fireman carrying kaito for 2-3 pages? i am sorry for ever doubting you gosho i wasn't familiar with your game
Me when I started reading TGED:
I love that there's no romance in this story! it makes it easy to read without cringing at sappy stuff or forced bonding plots
Me now:
If the protagonists don't end up together I'm going to scream
being a self-taught artist with no formal training is having done art seriously since you were a young teenager and only finding out that you’re supposed to do warm up sketches every time you’re about to work on serious art when you’re fuckin twenty-five
All right you lil shits
It's been a while since I noticed this but was too lazy to actually sign in and tell it but...
This is William James Moriarty's hand in the ending song of the anime where he's a child
Now if you look closer, you will be able to observe that only he is the one who's painting with his left hand and Louis and Albert are painting with their right.
Yes, yes, how did you never notice it before? Well...
These are screenshots from the ending song where they are depicted as children and if you look at William and Louis's clothes, they are wearing the rag clothes they wore as orphans or before they went murder-arson-happy on Albert's family. That also tells us that this is before William took upon the identity of Albert's real brother William.
But in the anime grown up William, or adult William, uses his right hand instead of left even though he obviously used to be left-handed as we discussed before.
And this is a screenshot from the opening song cuz I was too lazy to actually find a better scene but moving on...
Now my theory is that the real William™ was right-handed so when our William™ did some first-class-eighteenth-century-identity-theft, he had to learn to be right-handed in order to fit in.
In the end, I would like to conclude this by saying that WILLIAM USED TO BE LEFT-HANDED BUT BECAME RIGHT-HANDED BECAUSE HE STOLE THE-REAL-WILLIAM™ 'S IDENTITY HE HAD TO BECOME RIGHT-HANDED AND THAT HE'S PROBABLY F***ING AMBIDEXTROUS Y'ALL
Thank you.
I rest my case.
