okay here’s a ted lasso opinion: i think there should be a running like, d plot in season 3 about moe bumbercatch, resident afc richmond knit wizard.
hear me out. anybody (myself included) who is a fibre crafter of any kind or knows a fibre crafter, especially one who obviously has done it long enough and often enough to be able to knit the welsh flag which is not exactly a simple design into a scarf, knows that one of the greatest challenges of fibre crafting is “who do i offload all of these finished projects on, because they cannot just sit around my house.”
so i present to you the concept of season 3 d plot about everybody getting gifted bumbercatch-knitted items of various sorts. scarves. hats. a fucking sweater if you did something REALLY cool. there’s a whole Thing where whatever trent crimm ends up doing he sticks around the team for whatever reason and he gets like, a pen cozy knitted for him and everyone makes an enormous deal out of it because “ooooooooo you got bumbercatch knitting, you’re REALLY part of richmond now!!!” while he stands there like ??? WHAT is a pen cozy.
in the background of various shots, somebody’s just wearing a knitted piece and everyone knows where it came from. it’s very exciting when someone finds something in their locker. i just think it’d be fun.
and with your help we can make this dream a reality
