This thought isn't going to leave me alone until I write it down so I'm just gonna say it

STANLEY PINES HAS SEXUAL TRAUMA.

The wheel of shame on the website straight up acknowledges that Stan has done sex work and in general engaged in sexual activies, willingly or otherwise, to survive.

Not only this, but you also have to remember that he's been to prison an unknown number of times in three different countries.

The kinds of horrible things known to go on within prison walls already provide some pretty rough implications, but this combined with the fact that, at least at first, Stan didn't seem to know the language(s) of those countries well enough to understand his fellow inmates and was likely more heavily targeted for being a foreigner to begin with....it paints a pretty upsetting picture to say the least.

I don't think any of us really thought about this aspect of his past back when the show was still going because like...he was a character in an animated Disney show and we were like 12, characters with this kind of dark complexity to them were a fresh & new concept to us and a lot of Stans past was toned down and/or put in a comedic light since it was meant to be a kids show.

But now that we're adults and Alex has acted accordingly by targeting older audiences with the new book and website, we've gotten a much clearer and more serious look into just how horrifically bad Stans time on the street really was...and honestly? I think more people should be talking about it.

Huntlow epiphany where theyve been together for a while and willow realises hunter was born and grew from the ground and is made of palistrom wood among other things and she's like "figured i would fall for a fucking plant"

And then she waters, no, SHOWERS him with love. Makes sure her loser boyfriend stays hydrated and sees some sunlight every once in a while : )

He reacts like the boar boy from demon slayer, like he's discovering that people care for him. Flabbergasted and flustered. A confused little man who doesnt know if hes allowed. Cue the vine "is this allowed ??" But its him pointing at himself and willow taking a nap in the sunlight.

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

Okay but imagine Hunter's attempt at showing affection for Willow. Remember how he told Flapjack to "be safe!" and "I love you!" over the walkie talkie in front of Luz? Like I know it's different but like, he knows Willow would kick his ass if he actually embarrassed her in public (not that he could) but imagine him trying to sneak kisses when no one is looking or giving her quick hand signals so he wouldn't have to say things out loud and THEN at some point someone else on the Emerald Entrails catches him doing it and he gets all embarrassed but Willow is like "and??" and as hes trying to hide or run away she takes him right out of the sky with her vines like when they first met and then kisses him on the cheek like "yep i snagged a good one"
