the pines family flatout replacing the star symbolism that bill had to ford does always make me feel smug af
I'm so proud to be Brazilian and to be able to see Brazilian actors winning. This award is ours. Viva o Brasil, viva ao cinema brasileiro. Viva Fernanda Torres, viva! 🥳🇧🇷❤️
she was so small and soft :( 1 | 2
so. how is everyone doing
Listen, if the final Belos fight is indeed 2v1 with Hunter and Willow? All I'm saying is if midway through the fight we start getting flashback scenes of Caleb and Evelyn vs Philip with that smooth animation and just the most gorgeous shot-for-shot fades between the two fights, like with Hunter flickering back and forth with Caleb, or a closeup of Willow's hand casting a spell circle and her hand turning into Evelyn's, I swear to god that would go so hard and I would lose my entire ✨GODDAMN MIND✨
why do they let the worlds most boring people direct movies
Here's some edits cause I always wondered what Hunter's expressions were under the mask😭
I’m still sticking by my headcanon that Sabine knows her daughter is Ladybug
I know Sabine is already a very understanding and caring person, and she entrusts in Ladybug. But, the way she just smiles and doesn’t ask questions when Marinette makes excuses just makes me feel like she knows.
She also broke out of the akuma just by seeing Ladybug keeping her promise. Ladybug has done nice things for her victims before, but this is only one of two times a victim has broken free just from her. There’s a deep trust there.
Also, I feel like there’s a lot of moms who just know everything that’s going on with their kids? And Sabine definitely strikes me as one of those kinds of moms.
I love Stan's relationship with the kids so much.
GF emphasizes a lot of very real trauma in Stan's past. Everything from child abuse, homelessness, drug abuse, and survival sex work. And the way that meshes with Mabel being this truly genuine depiction of a weird little girl creates something that is very unique to the series.
It's really touching how Mabel just being Mabel heals Stan's inner child and the way he naturally clicks with her. The weird and creative little boy he used to be, before his father's abuse and toxic masculinity beat that joy and optimism out of him.
It's just damn good. It's a really beautiful depiction of an intergenerational relationship. And I haven’t really seen anything else quite like it. Because there’s also Dipper.
There’s this wall between Stan and Dipper that goes beyond his similarities with Ford and its gender.
Dipper is a boy and Stan clearly doesn’t really know how to handle that. He was taught that boys are raised in a very specific way. And like we see how Stan really struggles with his past, the way he talks about the boxing lessons in particular.
Masculinity is so deeply entwined with Stan's pain and it’s something he can’t easily unravel. How is he supposed to be able to criticize his father for 'toughing him up' when he feels like punching things is one of the only things he’s good at? It's fucking sad.
Athena when debating the gods whether or not Odysseus should be freed from Ogygia: intellectual and level headed as she appeals to their hearts 🤓🥺😞
Also Athena when Ares says anything remotely insulting about Telemachus: bro shut the f@ck up and leave that little guy alone! 🤬🦉💢
dude if EVEN BILL is scared and feels that "it was a mistake" and "pain that wasn't hilarious" you know it's unbelievably bad and alarming. what fiddleford did to himself to forget is beyong everything and the fact that even in this condition he's able to live and partly sane is wild
he lived like that for decades and even got better when his mind was fucked up so much that bill goddamn cipher was afraid to be there. fiddleford is so strong ohmyfuckinggod
