I was searching for symbolic meanings of the willow tree, and I found this, all of you probably know where i’m headed.

“the willow has many healing properties” in this case it’s stated as physical pain, but I interpreted it as a psychlogical way, as we saw in “Labyrinth Runners” Willow helped Gus when he had a mental breakdown and he started to breathe properly thanks to her, and you know who else will probably need her help? Hunter !

“the willow tree may look dainty but, it’s power is not one to be underestimated.” a reference to willow’s past:being called half-a-witch and being underestimated by one of her ex closest friend: Amity, I can say that this is a cute coincidence (or maybe it’s not) Willow is also very feminine (she wears skirts,and is in fact, very dainty) but at the same time she is very strong and resilient, and it doesn’t delete any of her feminine traits.

And, to gain a deeper understanding of our subconscious”: we know that probably hunter has an identity crisis right now for being a grimwalker, so maybe Willow could help him out discover who he really wants to be and who he really is (similiar to Willow’s character development where she is seen by Amity as her old self, and now she is her true self, as also Gus said) so probably Willow will play a major role

“We can also look at how the willow tree encourages the expression of deep emotions, including grief and sadness through tears and teaching us the value and consequences of love and loss” still another reference to what role Willow may play in Hunter’s life, Hunter is definetely in a bad place right now, so since willow trees can also represent the expression of deep emotions,she could help Hunter to open up to them in order to feel better and letting show his fragile side

Huntlow headcanon; Willow starts reading books she knows that Hunter read before, just so she can casually mention it in conversation and watch Hunter's face light up before he starts talking all the points the book brings up. She figured out that if she just tries to ask him about the book, he gets shy and evasive because he's a little embarrassed by his own interest, but if Willow also read the book and wants to talk about it with him, he's not only more willing to engage, but does so enthusiastically.

AAAAA THAT'S SO SWEET!!!! He's just so exciting to share a common interest with someone that he loves so much!!!! And Willow being an absolute icon for going out of her way to read up on things that she known Hunter loves, just so that she can listen to him infodump on her. God... what a lady.

While reading wings of starlight this is how I imagined Queen Clarion young.

every single bit of willow content in this ep was also so so so so so so so so so fucking good. like there's so much media where one of the side characters is confident and friendly and sweet and supportive and by all accounts emotionally adjusted and they're never given any ROOM to be complicated or messy or unhappy. or if they ARE given a Mess Moment, it's usually in the form of them snapping and lashing out at everyone for never caring about them the way they care about everyone else (as if the other characters are at fault for their inability to ask for help). so. deconstructing that archetype with willow, who IS genuinely so confident and self-assured and sweet and friendly and supportive, by having her slowly collapse and have a nervous breakdown from the stress of always needing to perfectly play her archetypal Adjusted Normal Support Friend role.... fuck me UP i NEVER thought we'd get such good fucking willow content with how little runtime there was left, ESPECIALLY because i usually have to do the complex heavy lifting with similar characters myself. like i'm not used to seeing this kind of arc illustrated so viscerally in the actual canon. yes!!! yes!!! yes yes yes yes yes!!! fuck!!!! explore the heights and stakes of these 'quieter' more introverted issues with the same drama and messiness and narrative weight that all the more-typically-befuckened characters get!!! LET'S FUCKING GO!!!!! WILLOW FUCKING PARK!!!!!!!!!!
