i always thought of you as made of moonlight because of that first night…
Ultimately it's a beautiful thing~
Husbands with hats <3
I watched the epilogue episode and it was beautiful I felt the doomed yaoi from the very beginning of the series so glad it's canon
"Way too reliable narrator" where the narrator provides documentation and proof for how they know every detail in the narrative and an estimate of how confident they are in it.
I've recently realized just how much bs I know about this series, so I've decided to try and shed light on the more unknown aspects that I've never seen people talk about. Might as well put this knowledge to good use, eh?
So, traveler, if you'd like to accompany me on this journey, buckle in, and let's have some fun! First off on our trek is....
THIS FREAKING CG IN CHAPTER 6 OF SDR2
Looks normal, right? RIGHT?
At first, I thought it was just some kind of stock text. Think, lorem lipsum. But nah, I'm almost completely sure that they had used a real-life newspaper, likely from Sydney, Australia.
If you piece the text together, you can basically gather its about economic tensions between North Korea, South Korea and the United States, or something along those lines. With all the missing letters and difficult font, it's hard to fully grasp what it came from; which was obviously intentional. Maybe it's a few different articles, but I doubt that partially due to how often it repeats.
I tried my best to see if I could find the real article, but from my ten minute search, I came up empty-handed. I don't have time or the motivation to continue that investigation, but either way, it's an interesting detail. I just can't help but wonder why they chose THAT out of all the things they could've, instead of like... something medical related.
This amazing comic actually got me to realize the true difference between Stan and Bill. I was never able to pin down why I've never gotten on the "Bill reincarnates into Stan Pines" train, and I think this simple reason is why.
Stan Pines never stopped trying to make up for his mistakes. Call him what you want, but you can't deny that he's a man of accountability.
He became a grifter to prove to his family that he still deserved his last name. Instead of cutting them out like he absolutely deserved to, he spent a decade trying to make them proud.
When he fought his brother and accidentally pushed him into the portal- he didn't stop believing that he was out there! This man who never graduated high school taught himself how to put back together a multidimensional portal that had taken a man with 14 doctorates, the man who cannonicallt invented the first laptop, and oh yeah, an eltrich omnipotent demon to create.
When he didn't think he could take care of Dipper and Mabel, this greedy man spent his last cent to feed them and buy their ticket back home.
When he found out that Soos' birthday was triggering to him, he fought the US so hard to get rid of the date that he got put on a do not fly list.
And when the universe turned upside down, he sacrificed himself to save the world. To save his family.
But Bill... I don't think he fought nearly as hard to save his family. Of course, I could be wrong. Perhaps he tried just as hard. But I doubt it.
Stan worked to repair his mistakes. Bill tried to run from them. Stan confronted his fears. Bill still is trapped by them.
OK I REALLY LIKE HOW IT TURNED OUT-
SENSHI would want you to get enough sleep and have nice nutritious meals
CHILCHUCK would want you to know your worker rights and what your labor is worth
LAIOS would want you to embrace your passions and try new things
FALIN would want you to take care of your health and treat others with kindness
MARCILLE would want you to practice necromancy and have gay sex
The way Tumblr butchers the quality and the frame size of this video is atrocious, but at this point I'm tired of fighting it :(
Anyway made another thing in blender
blackquill decides that a little bit of possible jail time is worth it to break out the katana at work
Decided to start writing poetry again, so I made a sideblog!!! I'm actually sorta proud of this one. Very gay, very piney, very somber... Long distance relationships can be so hard, but damn if this one isn't worth it!!!
Distance
Each night,
I whisper your name to the stars,
And wonder if my voice will ever reach you.
I find comfort in their light, yet...
Those bright orbs of fire,
They're already gone, aren't they?
By the time they reach my eyes,
They've long since burned out.
Our distance is formidable,
Marked by space and time.
The theory of relativity,
Energy, mass, and the speed of light.
How much will change within me
Until I can hold your hands in mine?
Will our crossed stars burn out?
Or will they collide?
A supernovae,
A black hole,
A neutron star.
I ask the stars,
"How much hope is there
For a love like ours?"
But they're long since gone.
My nightly soliloquy: audience of one.
