Currently thinking about how much Ford tries to hide his hands a lot when he can…behind his back with this stance. Due to how often he’s been bullied for it.

And also, how Mabel is one of the ones who Ford feels happy about showing his hands to because she thought they were cool looking upon first shaking his hand, instead of him being judged for his six fingers.

Soulmate AU (red thread of fate)

Warnings: stalking, mentions of kidnapping, graphic depictions of violence, gore, blood, death, threats of violence

When Feitan noticed the red thread that hung from his pinky finger and trailed off in a random direction in the middle of the afternoon, he found himself hesitant to follow it.

He knew that he needed to follow and find whoever was at the end of it if just for the sake of his own nen abilities. To boost them as well as ensure that he would still have them by keeping his soulmate alive. It was something everyone in the troupe needed to do, to secure their soulmate once they discovered them, and they all would have done so regardless of Chrollo’s instruction. No one wanted to lose their ability to use nen.

But the fact that his use of nen was tied to some random person that he knew nothing about had the concept of soulmates leaving a sour taste in Feitan’s mouth. Whoever was attached to the end of that thread was someone that he would ultimately need to take care of, regardless of if he even liked them or not. All because of some oddity with the way nen worked that was completely out of his control.

And it was more than likely that whoever this person was, they wouldn’t be able to see the thread, so they wouldn’t understand the significance of meeting him. Feitan would either need to take a slower approach by building up a relationship in a natural manner, as Chrollo and Shalnark had done, or a more straight-forward approach by just taking them and going from there, which was the way Uvogin and Nobunaga had gone about things.

Feitan already felt more inclined towards the latter option. He was just passing through this particular area and had no plans to stay long. Along with the fact that he wasn’t the most sociable or approachable person around, it was just more practical to go with the second choice.

He quietly sighed as he began to follow the thread, finding himself wishing that his circumstances might be more like Pakunoda’s; she’d been lucky enough that her soulmate was able to see the thread and understood what it meant, though they didn’t seem to have a complete understanding of nen. Though he backtracked a bit on calling her “lucky”. Paku’s soulmate followed her around like a lovesick puppy, and though Pakunoda seemed to enjoy doting on them, Feitan knew he would quickly get tired of someone like that.

Getting pampered

Leorio is an open book, as expected when he has feelings he’s straight forward and can be a bit of a flirt at times. His way of flirting being more dorky and cheesy, but you’d have to be a special kinda oblivious not to get his advances. Though despite this confidence he seems to have, he can never actually ask you out on a date, just calling you the love of his life, or tell you how attractive you are. All that, and a date seems like too much? Regardless, he isn’t just there for the looks. He shows he truly cares about you with his protectiveness and overall selflessness when it comes to you.

Kurapika is unsure how to approach you, he’s never liked anyone before so naturally he’s a bit lost. In fact, he doesn’t even understand his feelings for awhile. Misplaces it as just feeling a strong connection with you, that you and him have a stronger friendship than most do. Leorio has to snap him out of that, and explain he’s feeling romantic attraction. Once this becomes clear to him, he’s a bit of an awkward mess around you, fumbling with his words and getting a bit red in the face, acting almost shy, as he can never look you in the eyes. It’s almost painful to watch.

Gon is also like a open book, and is a pretty simple guy. He doesn’t have a full grasp on romantic feelings, so he isn’t able to recognize what he feels, even if he feels it so strongly, all he knows is he feels a deep connection. Something much different than what he feels with Killua, an odd sensation. Like a reason to wake up everyday. It eventually becomes clear (because of leorio) that he likes you. It surprises him, romance has never been much of a focus in his life and yet he’s fallen for you! He’s not sure what to do for awhile, but he’d eventually confess with some flowers and would be straight forward, albeit a bit nervous and may fumble a bit.

Killua isn’t dumb, but is also not used to romance. Given that he’s young and hasn’t been around too many people in his life where he can form good bonds with. It’s safe to say he’s never liked anyone before so it takes him awhile to place what he’s feeling for you, but he’s able to figure it out on his own. He’s not sure what to do about it though, the boy has some insecurities and may feel like maybe you deserve somebody better. He does however confess thanks to Gon. Upon knowing his feelings for you he’s a lot more blushy, and teases you a lot more, he’s also 10x more protective but other than that still himself.

The first time Micheal hugs you

It's not expected. Like at all. He doesn't even think about it.. he just does it without a warning after you come home. He's been left alone feeling jealous and slightly uncomfortable with you being so far away.

You'll probably be scared at first. He isn't exactly gentle. He walks towards you faster than usual and before you can ask what's wrong-- you're held to his chest with a strength he can't control in the moment. You'll feel like he's suffocating you with affection.

His arms squeeze and he grunts if you try pulling away. The only mercy he'll give you is softening the embrace so it's not so snug.

Michael won't sway. But he's not tense either. He may feel stiff-- only from emotions, positive ones. He's just glad you're back and plans on keeping you home forever now.

Michael isn't a fan of being left behind. He quickly decides that wherever you go, he goes.

The first time Michael holds your hand

This moment is very innocent and soft.

Michael wanted to give you something at first. He had no intention for holding hands but it happened so naturally-- plus he felt curious.

When you look at the small palm sized gift he got you while hunting, he feels the urge to touch your hand again. And of course he follows whatever he feels is right. Michael touches the gift that you're now holding and slowly moves his fingertips to glide along your palm. It feels warm and cozy, he likes it a lot.

Michael ends up holding your hand in a weird way but you can't complain. He squeezes it once or twice and keeps rubbing your hand. You feel smoother than himself which is why he finds it so calming to touch.

He eventually drops your hand (aggressively- but not in a mean way, give him some credit) and walks off like nothing happened.

The first time Michael kisses you

Both of you like to argue who made the first move. You feel as if you did-- touching his exposed cheek and leaning in a little.

Michael refuses to give you the credit. He finds pride in thinking he made the first move. Michael was the one who kissed you-- not the other way around. You may have invited it.. but in he put in the effort to meet you half way.

Michael kissing you felt a little awkward. He didn't move his lips at first. He didn't touch you. Michael waited until you kissed back. That's when he stopped feeling uncomfortable and added more passion than you expected to feel from a man like him.

He's very needy with kisses. He doesn't want them all the time so when you do kiss him-- it's definitely heated. Not sexually if you're not ready or in the mood. It's just intense. He makes you feel desirable and loved.

You'll have to push him away sooner or later. He won't stop until you do.

The first time Michael cuddles you

He waits until you're asleep on the couch. Michael uses this as an excuse to pick you up and carry you to bed. The physical contact he allows only adds more fuel to the never ending addiction of wanting to feel your body heat mix with his own.

Once you're in bed he rests beside you but never falls asleep. He watches and touches. Innocently, he allows his hands to roam your body. You're warm and inviting.

Michael gently changes the position you're in so he can hold you against his chest. He leans back on the headboard and continues to watch and touch you with a softness you'll never feel when awake. It's too much to give out when you're aware of it-- he wound feel exposed and vulnerable. That's something he dislikes greatly.

The first time Michael comforts you

The first time Michael sleeps next to you

You didn't invite him into bed. You were already passed out. Michael took this to his advantage and pushed himself to lay down next to you.

He holds you from behind. Very tightly. You won't be going anywhere. His grip barely loosens when he falls asleep.

In the morning-- you'll wake up to his breathing. You'll feel the grip he has on your waist. Arms completely wrapped around you. He might touch your stomach/chest for personal comfort. You feel warm and he has no sexual intent. You genuinely bring him comfort.

After getting a taste of what it feels like to sleep next to someone he loves-- he will never go to bed alone. You'll be in his arms no matter what.

Michael knows people cry over many things. His victims cry and beg for mercy, they cry for loved ones he killed in front of them, etc. It never bothered him and he actually enjoys it.

It's different with you.

He can't cope with the sound of your cries. He wants you to hush, to stop making him feel weird sensations in his gut and chest.

Michael reaches a breaking point and ends up comforting you with touch and low grunts/hums to let you know he's there. Michael will just copy whatever you do for him and others. He doesn't necessarily feel empathy or anything along those lines-- all he knows is that he's willing to do whatever it takes to make you stop crying. And soon he'll figure out that he likes comforting you. The idea of you associating him with comfort has his heart filling with a warmth he rarely feels. But when he does, it's always because of you. He's okay with that.
