What if real life is the Eldritch Apocalypse, and we have all but forgotten earlier times, before The Planets Aligned, before we discovered Things Humanity Should Not Know, Dug Too Deep, and ruined our world by making it... this?
What if the true Eldritch Horror is... normativity? Conformity? Regimentation? Dullness of mind and experience?
What if we could remember what "whelming" felt like, or when cars still needed to be quarzyk-tested? What if squirrels reminded us of those times, because even though they used to also come in some of the colors that are now missing, they're pretty much the same, otherwise?
New RWD just dropped, so
If you see this you are OBLIGATED to reblog w/ the song currently stuck in your head :)
Pro Tip:
Having never played Skyrim, I remember running around World of Warcraft in 2012, wondering why one of the most prominent guilds on my server was called Fus Ro Dah.
Context: my roommates were huge Skyrim nerds and played it almost daily in the common area.
I call the seagull Frank Abigull, Jr.
He walks around the cruise terminal with one wing folded up crooked, so the wingtip sticks out and nearly drags on the ground. He looks like he has a broken wing.
If I eat on a seagull's patch, I'll share. I'm that used to paying rent for every damn thing. Same for crows.
Anyway, I don't know if his wing was ever really broken or not, but when he needs to, Frank can fly just fine.
It may be that he's learned to drag his wing in order to con the tourists and event-goers.
I have thousands of shitposts, rants, and essays sitting in notebooks, left over from decades of not using social media or having many friends. Hold on tight.
