just because there aren't as many posts of blm circulating and just because we're slowly posting regular "aesthetic" content again it does not mean you have the right to stop educating yourself on issues that affect black people. continue to educate yourself and others, call out racism when you see it and continue to donate and sign petitions. activism that only occurs when somebody dies or something devastating happens is not proper activism, it is performative. so, just because you aren't posting as much about blm or other issues anymore, it does NOT mean you can go back to being ignorant. continue to stay aware. keep that energy and use it and your privilege to help black people and amplify their voices. us non-black people need to recognise that choosing when to speak up or speaking up when it is big is a privilege and is ignorant and we need to fix this.

Today I saw a girl from my balcony. There was a little creature on the pavement. I don't know what it was, maybe a frog or a lizard. She stopped, watched the creature for five minutes or more, until it disappeared in the safety of grass. I like girls so much.

Apparently "People Watching" by Conan Gray will now live rent free in my head. I have no objections, I do have some thoughts tho.

I have never EVER in my life identified with a song that much. Everything in it is spot on. To the letter. It's scary and I hate it. But I love it at the same time. So... yeah.

And also, I would like to very respectfully say that Conan is the most beautiful human being my unworthy eyes had the honor of seeing in the last couple of weeks (at least). And I studied Aesthetics, I know my shit (read: I know my beauty, professor).

Like, seriously, Conan, stop.

As a lesbian™️ I just want to let any/all of my trans followers know in the wake of JK Rowlings further hateful comments on the trans community, that I stand with you. Trans men are valid as hell. Trans women are valid as hell (and absolutely b e a u t I f u l in this humble lesbians opinion). Shame on JK Rowling for trying to use my identity as a lesbian (which she doesn't even identify as) to invalidate trans people. Shame on anyone who hates on the trans community.

These are some of my favourite classic female authors.

Two of them are czech, as you can see. The first one is Květa Legátová who wrote Želary and Jozova Hanule. The film Želary, based on Jozova Hanule (i know, the situation with the names is kind of messy), was nominated for the Oscars in the early 2000's.

The second one is Gabriela Preissová who was a czech writer and playwriter and two of her best known plays are Její pastorkyňa and Gazdina roba.

Both of them wrote about women and their lives. Gabriela is realistic writer and Květa is very poetic.

Especially Květa Legátová is just brilliant and I think that it should be possible to find a copy of her books translated into English. If you find it, read it. Please. I need people to know about her.
