josie walked over to the scene just in time, to see the man speed away after handing mia a card. tilting her head, she made her way over to the other and giggled softly. "i guess there are worse things to be left with than a nice card and some balloons." she hadn't seen mia in so long, so she quickly gave the other a tight hug before pulling back and examining the display. "does the card have a name?"
location: rousseau's bar
Mia walked out from the back of the restaurant into the bar area when she spotted the collection of balloons being placed on the ground near the door. A delivery man was quick to hand her a card and then headed for the door before she could stop him. "Wait, these aren't for here," she called out, looking over the card, but the man was already gone. She looked up at the balloons with a smile. "What am I doing to do with you?"

"oh my gosh jay, i'm so sorry, it's just been a few years since i've seen you near the house." hayley felt a little embarrassed, she'd know the kid for a very long time given who his parents were. when he and lizzie got engaged, they spent even more time together, but that had felt like so long ago. time was manipulated by the grief they all felt after the merge. "how are you doing sweetie?" she lifted her eyebrow at the other, knowing it was a loaded question, but it had to be asked. hope had become a totally different person after everything. how could she not? lizzie, hope, and josie were inseparable and intended to beat every odd that told them otherwise. jay was in the middle of it all and honestly the hybrid wasn't sure where his loyalties lied.
Jay nodded. "Lizzie," he said slowly as he looked at her. "Lizzie's fiancee." He hasn't really seem her family since it happened. Since she has died. But he had been with her 2 years, so they were all familiar in a way. Then he paused. "Also... you know Aiden's kid," he said given she was his dad's alpha.
it was often that josie would see her twin sister in a crowd, only to blink and realize it was her mind playing tricks, because of course she wasn't actually there. yet, each time she closed her eyes tightly to re-open them, lizzie still managed to be standing there only feet away. "what the..." she trailed off, her whole face growing warm which was met with an icy chill. the whole thing was overstimulating and it didn't take long for the panic to bubble from her stomach into her chest.
the remark made her scowl, the same way she would before the merge. "elizabeth saltzman you can't seriously be risen from the dead and shocked that me of all people are staring." running to her twin, she hugged her tightly, not even waiting for the other to adjust. to hold lizzie near caused tears to fill josie's eyes. "is it really you?" with the way her life had been lately, she wouldn't be shocked if this was some sick joke.

she was enjoying the feeling of being alive, herself trying to ignore the feeling of uneasiness that was felt through ever bone and vein in her body. eyes closed, head tilted upwards, trying to catch the sun rays against her face. “you know, if you took a picture, it would last longer.” lizzie remarked, opening her eyes to look at the other.
josie laughed softly at mavi's comment, it wasn't something she could relate to until tonight. for the past three years, the siphoner shut that part of her off. losing lizzie was far too much and because of it she lost all ability to love. but now that her twin was back from the dead and she stood watching couples as they danced with glee, she began to understand that longing. "well you are sorta right, i mean tonight we could do whatever we wanted and it's all because we are single." shrugging her shoulders, she looked to the other. "what's your type? maybe we can set you up with someone."

She sat at one of the many tables, lucky enough to get one that was vacant - which surprised her seeing as how many people were here. "New Orleans parties are on hell of a thing," she mused to herself, resting her chin on the palm of her hand. "God I hate being single," she groaned, "it's so... boring"
the dead were coming back to life and supernaturals were being murdered in gruesome ways, the whole ordeal made hayley's mind swirl with questions. one of the places she knew to find answers was the public library, it wasn't a typical library, thanks to the cities deep connect with witchcraft. whatever was happening is connected to something, the hybrid was sure of it. grabbing a few books, she quickly made her way down the steps to check them out and then head over to the boarding school. it wasn't until she bumped into another that she realized she was moving too fast, putting her hands up she apologized. "no, no i'm sorry, i wasn't paying attention." looking up at the other she tilted her head, the whole day had placed her brain in a fog. "you look familiar have we met before?"
Jay was head first in his books in the public library studying, residany was kicking his backside but that did not mean he was going to take a break. He turned the page of his new book when he felt the presence of someone next to him. He didn't look up, assuming like the last few people they just wanted to get around him and down the book aisle that he had set up in a few hours ago. "Sorry," he muttered, pulling his feet back to make room before he finally looked up.

every other sunday, gabriela would go to the local farmers market, to pick up new produce for the bed and breakfast that tyler and her ran. the night before had been restless, tossing and turning as the a curse began across the city. doing their best to not yawn, gabi took a sip of her iced latte while examining a new batch of tomatoes. looking for just the right one, she reached for the same bright orange berry. pulling back, they gestured toward the other to take the fruit themselves. "you can have it, looks like there is another one just like it."
it was far too early for gabriela's face to show the exact amount of excitement that ran though her body once elena pulled out the extra coffee. machine coffee was the bane of the demons existence, it provided no actual energy and tasted burnt. taking the cup as if it was treasure, she smiled sweetly at the other, grateful to be so in sync.
"I mean unless someone that was raised from the dead was really bad, like not a demon who fell in love and is grumpy about life in general." before meeting tyler, gabi's life was filled with violence and moments that would stick with her for the rest of her life. even if she managed to do good things now, it would never erase the things they did. only few knew that she was a demon, not wanting it to get around town, it wasn't easy to explain. "does uhh damon know that you are part of the faction? cause i haven't told tyler yet, but i plan to when he comes home..." she trailed off a smirk on her lips. "it will probably be the next morning when i actually manage to say something."
Elena leaned back into the car and pulled out a second coffee. "Call it intuition," she said as she handed it over to her friend. She was going to use it to bribe the morgue guy, but she had other tricks up her sleeve if necessary.
As they walked into the hospital, Elena scanned her badge and let them into the service elevator that would take them downstairs. "Yeah, I don't believe it, either. Unless we're missing something, it seems like the dead that have been raised are innocent." She thought about Summer, certainly she wasn't out there killing witches and vampires, right? "It's too close to be a coincidence, but why would they raise the dead and then kill more supernatural?" Whoever was behind the recent goings on had to have some kind of master plan, and Elena was determined to figure out what it was.
it's possible that everyone who was brought back was now bonded. lizzie was related to her fiancé, his family was the polar opposite of her blood one, so it always fascinated her how the mikaelson group dynamic worked. running dirty fingers through her hair, eleanor nodded to the other. feeling instantly soothed once in her presence. "you're back too, so that means..." she trailed off, as her brain worked at a much faster pace than she could currently handle. "well now i have a horrible headache, do you think you remember your way to the boarding school?" all her senses were fuzzy, along with her vision and nerves. it felt as if she had been numb for several years, waking up from a coma like state, but it was different than that. she hadn't been hooked up to helpful nutrients, so her bones ached and she felt dry, it caused her to shudder.
it felt different, almost unnerving being back. she knew she had died, there was no way to stop the merge and here she was. god, she wondered how long she had passed but no, she needed to pluck up the courage to head back home or to the boarding school. her eyes narrowed ever so slightly as she saw the other, almost as if she could sense that they were both alike, both back from the dead. this set the uneasiness that lizzie felt already to now, a ten.
“could i?” she commented, as she heard the other speak, hoping to settle the feeling she had. talking to the girl would put things into perspective for her.
gabriela knew the rosza family well, josh was a huge help in the transition of soul bringer to something calmer. with that, she was able to meet blossom and since her father helped so much, it felt like duty to do the same for his children. so gabi knew not to press the girl any further, shrugging their shoulders they leaned against the tree with a light sigh. "i won't lie something is going on, but i can't place my finger on it just yet."
taking a pause, the demon pushed through the nervousness and simply asked the question. "have you had any nightmares recently?"
“it’s fine.” blossom commented with a small shrug of her shoulders. eyes moving from the other to her sketch pad, hand continuously drawing at a rapid pace. drawing, it was one way she found could help clear her mind, especially with the uneasiness she had been feeling. it sometimes helped either clear her mind fully or put everything into perspective.
“I’ve been..” a pause for a moment, another shrug of her shoulders. “y’know the usual.” it was the best she could come up with. “what about you? how’s everything going?”
of course, lizzie thought that josie and hope brought her back, the three of them made a promise the night before the merge. to find a way to bring back whomever lost the merge and never stop trying. hope and josie did their best, dove into some terrifying magic in the process, but never managed to find any light at the end of the tunnel. holding her twin tightly, she took in the others smell and touch. something she yearned for since the last time the two held hands and prepared for the worst 3 years ago. shaking her head softly, the siphoner bit her lip as tears welled once again. "no, no we didn't. we tried lizzie, but no spell could bring you back and it broke the two of us."
that was summing it up nicely, she thought as she pulled away and looked into her sisters eyes. "lizzie i am so sorry, i failed you and i'll never forgive myself for it." this should've been a happier reunion, but the last 3 years had been hell for josie. she stopped enjoying things, only talking to people when it was required to then go home, alone. she was a shell of a person and even though their parents tried hard to get her back on track, josie would always find a way to fall off again. "i've honestly been a spinster since that night." she admitted.
hearing her sisters voice, her eyes shot open and the grin spread across her lips. “i mean, you do have a point, it is why you were always the smart one.” she grinned as she watched Josie. a sense of calmness washed over Lizzie. it felt amazing to hold Josie again. pulling back ever so slightly, fingers brushed away her sister tears. “well there is only one lizzie saltzman, so of course it’s really me.” she spoke, eyes examining Josie.
“why are you so shocked I’m here?” a knot forming in her stomach, the realisation that maybe josie and hope didn’t have any part in this. “surely you knew I would be back..”
