I took the meaning of this prompt really loosely. More of the idea of personal loss and victory.

Hisoka DARK Headcanons:

Trigger Warning: UNDER 18 DONT INTERACT/TW Themes of Abuse, Self Harm, Substance abuse and Mental Health, PTSD

Hisoka tends to zone out a lot

Hisoka also dissociates a lot as well

Drinks A LOT & refuses therapy (Scared to look vulnerable)

Basically does anything in his power to forget

At the end of the day he cannot avoid his past

Has severe anxiety and awful panic attacks

Hisoka also has outbursts due to PTSD though he refuses to admit he needs help

Although Hisoka seems emotionless he does regret a lot of his actions

Hisoka has been on his own since he was young, and has seen many horrors

His father was quite abusive & homophobic (His fashion was in spite of his father)

Hisoka’s mother was killed when trying to protect him from one of his father’s outbursts

Hisoka had a snap and killed his father (He was never the same after that…)

Tries to preserve the innocence children have (Has a soft spot for kids)

Hisoka has MANY scars that are covered by texture surprise (Some are from battles, but many were self inflicted)

Every fight Hisoka gets into is just another attempt to end his life

If he were to die he is truly fine with it

Hisoka truly has no path in life and just acts out of impulse

I wish I could stay with him and be his friend!😭🤚

Hisoka is lonely & craves love (Everything he does is for attention)

Hey guys! Sorry for the darkness of headcanons, I really wanted to share these because I wanted to give insight on Hisoka’s character. Are his actions in the series good? NO. Are they justified? NO. But can we try to understand the reasoning behind his actions and realize Hisoka is not too far gone nor a monster? I believe so, I feel that there is A LOT under the character we see and I wish we could see more of Hisoka’s character because there is a lot of unknowns that come with Hisoka. Hisoka is one of the most fascinating characters in the HxH series and a true wild card when it comes to backstory, we truly know nothing and I wish we could see more character development. i think the worst, most ooc moment in that one bad hxh movie was when killua got mad and “outed” and attacked retz for dressing up as a guy. like not only whoever wrote the movie had no idea who killua was as a character, but he literally has a trans sister that he respects and defends why would he get mad and out someone!!!
