Avengers ships and how they fared in Infinity War

1. Stucky (Steve Rogers / Bucky Barnes): They reunite, smile, fight alongside each other, then Cap has to watch his true love disintegrate before his heartbroken eyes. No open romance (no surprise there, Disney), but at least they got ‘the look’.  5/10

2. Stony (Steve Rogers / Tony Stark): They never meet. They spend most of the film on separate planets. They still aren’t talking, and refer to each other only in brief, melancholy, what-could-have-been moments. Overall, not looking good. 1/10

3. Clintasha (Clint Barton / Natasha Romanoff): Hawkeye isn’t even in the film, and no-one really seems to notice. 0/10

4. Pepperony (Pepper Potts / Tony Stark): Tony proposes to Pepper, so in a way this ship hit the jackpot in Infinity War, and there are even rumours of pregnancy in the next Avengers film. But could Iron Man’s new found love for Doctor Strange throw a spanner in the works? Probably not. 9/10

5. Thorki (Thor / Loki): SPOILER ALERT Loki dies in the first few minutes of the film. Trying to save the life of Thor, which is very romantic, but still. Ship over. Unless….. 5/10*

6. Brutasha (Bruce Banner / Black Widow): Hopes (fears?) that the badly written but potentially interesting relationship between Bruce and Natasha would be developed further were firmly dashed in Infinity War, where they reunited after years apart with nothing more than a knowing look. Still, a look is better than nothing, and they are at least both still alive. 3/10

I know this photo just shows Banner, by the way. That is because I love Banner. Sue me.

7. T’Chakia (T’Challa / Nakia): For NO GOOD REASON, Nakia, possibly the most beautiful woman in the world as well as a complete badass, is not in Infinity War at all. And T’Challa gets dusted. Boo. 0/10

8. Starmora (Peter Quill and Gamora): After a brief threat from Thor is seen off, Peter Quill gets the chance to prove his love for Gamora in Infinity War, and he steps up, although in the end he can neither kill her nor save her. His grief for Gamora leads him to ruin the plan and he is arguably responsible for the deaths of half the people in the universe, including himself. Can you get more romantic than that? 8/10

9. Scarletvision (Vision and Wanda): These two start Infinity War as a proper, loved up couple, but, sadly, end it dead. Wanda’s love for Vision dooms the universe, as she waits too long to destroy the Infinity Stone that is part of him. It’s like Romeo and Juliet, except with the lovers being killed by a giant purple psychopath instead of poison. 8/10

And the new kid on the block:

10. Ironstrange (Tony Stark and Stephen Strange): These two meet, bicker, flirt, and slowly grow to understand each other over the course of Infinity War. They adopt Peter Parker as their sort-of-son. Then Doctor Strange hands over an Infinity Stone to save Tony’s life, and gets dusted himself. Beautiful. 6/10 

*Due to popular demand, and convincing arguments about the romance of their final scene together, Thorki has been upgraded to 5/10.

Something something the way that Crowley introduced himself to Aziraphale the first time they met in the garden and reacted as if they had never met before. Something about him later behaving as if he did actually have those memories of their time in Heaven together and trying to pass it off as being someone different now. Something about Heaven's way of punishing angels that go against the plan by erasing their memories. Something about Crowley seeing Gabriel without his memory and saying "ask him properly." Something about "remember it now" "it hurts, to remember. my head isn't built for that" "I know. Do it anyway"

Ich habe gerade letztens wieder ein paar FFs nochmal gelesen, weil es einfach so viele unglaublich gute in diesem Fandom gibt 😌

Und weil mich das jetzt brennend interessiert: was sind so eure momentanen Top 5? Egal, ob gerade zum ersten Mal am Lesen, wieder entdeckt, beendet oder nicht, ein "got me through tough times so it's engraved in my system now"...absolut alles willkommen 😊 Gerne mit kurzem Why dazu, muss aber nicht!

Ganz wichtig: das soll keineswegs ein Vergleich oder ein Wettbewerb sein! (I mean, ich selbst hab Stand jetzt 67 Favoriten auf ff.de - guckt da sonst gerne mal vorbei - keine davon hat es weniger oder mehr verdient als die anderen, gelesen und geliebt zu werden.) Es geht einzig und allein um einen Austausch, vielleicht einen kurzen Einblick in verschiedene Genres und Personalities und Empfehlungen, durch die die eine oder andere Person ja maybe sogar was Neues findet ☺

Meisterlich in character und die Autorin hat ein wahnsinnig präzises Gefühl für Zeit- bzw. Szenensprünge. Ich liebe die Sehnsucht in und zwischen den Zeilen und lasse mich sehr gerne immer wieder aufs Neue von manchen Sätzen brechen :')

Das Push-and-Pull, die Sexual Tension, der Schmerz...es ist eine perfekte Komposition. Jede Leseminute wert. Kann kaum erwarten, dass es weitergeht.

Den ersten Teil habe ich - no kidding - ohne Pause in acht Stunden gelesen. So viel Herz und Schwere und Comfort in Einem...ich hab literally keine Worte dafür, wie sehr alles JK und ihre Verbindung und ihre Realitäten in dieser Geschichte für mich sind. Keine.

Schreibstil einfach premium. JK in ihrem Umgang großartig getroffen. Heftig. Deep. Sexual Tension at its best (or worst?). Absolut kein Comfort, I'm a sucker for it. Love is pain, oder so.

Candyrella hat Poetik im "Simplen" perfektioniert. JK sind schonungslos und ehrlich und verletzt, hier und da ooc, aber halt auf verdammt gute Weise. Besonders die Dialoge, die sind so f*cking echt und zerreißend.

Verlangen - Funkenflug (ff.de) by AlwaysKlako

Diese Story macht einfach Spaß. Atmosphäre, JK, Sommer, die förmlich greifbare Anziehung der beiden - zusammengefasst: intense. Und mit so viel Liebe zum Detail, unfassbar schön.

Ja, es sind sechs. Aus Gründen. Es gibt noch so, so viele mehr und ich bin allen fellow FF-Autor:innen sehr dankbar, dass sie tun, was sie tun <3

A week went by, and school was still just as dreadful as ever. Your Liz Allan encounters had been limited (which you thanked the Gods for), and your focus was mainly fixated on Debate. This year, you were internally itching to be captain since Ned had decided to switch over to Decathlon. You liked Ned a lot, but it was pretty obvious he was way more qualified for Decathlon than he ever was for Debate anyway.

You felt weird the whole weak. It felt like you were avoiding something, but you didn’t know what you were avoiding. Your little sister said that it seemed like you were walking around with a rain cloud above your head, but you waved her off, dismissing her despicable claims. You were fine. It was just a bad week, not a bad life. Nothing you couldn’t handle—or avoid.
