i thought about still beautiful. still dean winchester. in relation to the s7 reunion and had an aneurysm. because “emmanuel” does not know this man. this is a complete stranger killing a demon on his porch.

and when he makes eye contact with this stranger for the first time, his heart stops. beautiful. that’s all he can think. and when the man introduces himself as dean and they shake hands, something in his chest shifts back into place, something he’s been missing since he walked out of that river, though he’s not quite sure what it is. and then he’s sitting in the passenger seat of dean’s car, and they’re alone and it’s dark out and every few minutes a highway light illuminates dean’s face in gold. and all he can think is beautiful. beautiful. beautiful.

and when cas regains his memories, and he looks back at dean, he remembers.

letting a traumatized character have their happy ending where they can recover from their trauma will always be a thousand times more powerful than killing them off for shock value

Questions that supernatural left unanswered:

- What happened to Eileen? Why was she never mentioned again?

- Who was the blurry wife? Was she supposed to be Eileen? If yes, then why were there no pictures of her at Sam‘s death bed?

- What happened to the empty? It said „Jack made it loud“, is it still loud? Why was the empty in the title card if we don’t deal with it as a big bad?

- Why was Jack moving like Chuck? (I‘m pretty sure Alcal did this on purpose, but whyyy?) Is there something of Chuck left in Jack?

- Why does Jack not release Amara?

- What happened to Cas and Rubys deal? (I know Ruby doesn’t have much to offer, but still shouldn’t it at least be addressed?)

- What happened to Cas‘ powers? Why were they failing? Why did he not get them back?

- Why is there a big ass picture of John at Sam‘s death bed? I’m not even going into John being the worst father in history... If I remember correctly all pictures and everything that happened in the alternative timeline that was created in the 300th episode got erased. So its physically not possible to have a picture from that day with john in it?

- Why did nobody show up at Deans funeral? (He wanted a big funeral) I get Covid but let me remind you of the drone shot with all these people without masks...

- What happened to all the other people who were erased in 15x18? Donna, Jody,... are Charlie and her girlfriend okay?

- What happened to Becky and her family? Chuck snapped her before he erased everyone else... so did jack bring them back too? Were they all in the same place?

- And most importantly why was dean not allowed to reciprocate? Why was he not even allowed to grieve? Why was he heavily drinking, asking Chuck to bring Cas back in 15x19 and seemed totally fine in 15x20????

On a personal note: I am completely floored by all the comments, tags, messages and additions to that other comic. I’ve read and cherished each and every single one. <3

Supernatural had the opportunity to do something great. To send a message of love and validation to a whole community. Not only to the part of the community that liked their show, but to all of us. But instead they decided to pander to the people, who never had to fight for their representation.

I support #TheySilencedYou, #TheySilencedThem and #TheyWillNeverSilenceUs and I'm in awe of all of you. Of your eloquence, passion, coordination and decisiveness. And I feel like your message goes beyond this particular TV show and the CW.

It's about protesting a pattern of disrespect towards otherness in Mainstream Media. It's about demanding meaningful, unmistakably queer representation, that enables discourse and furthers understanding in a heterogenic Audience. It's about asking Networks to not only hire diverse staff but to also give them the freedom to tell their stories the way they want to. It's about telling creators to own up to the inherent messages they leave us with in the end.

And that's inspiring and should be celebrated.

Stories matter.

Now let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Are you trying to tell me that we’d rather replace Rose as the annoying nagging wife with Rose as the goddess statue the Doctor SCULPTED by HAND? So rather than:

“Always wait five and a half hours!”

We want 

“Rose Tyler, I’m lost without her”

Or perhaps instead of

You’d want 

Mickey stood up and yelled “You should have taken better care of her!”
