After the Nasty Burger incident, Danny went to live with Vlad under the promise that he would change. And he did, for all of two months before Danny discovered a secret basement full of clones. All except one of them were unstable.

Thoroughly betrayed, Danny takes the one stable clone and puts the rest of them out of their misery. Then he heads to Gotham where the local billionaire has a habit of taking in black hair blued eyed orphans. Fight fire with fire right? Or in this case money with money.

Y'know, forget the top-bottom or the redblack/coolwhite divide, I think the two who would get along best out of all the MXTX mains would be Shen Yuan and Hua Cheng

Au where Tim Drake as a civilian and Danny in human form get kidnapped. It's irrelevant on who, just that whoever it is just saw 2 kids that are probably Bruce Wayne's and took their chances to get a ransom. Both teens are tied to metal chairs that are hooked up to some sort of machine.

Villain, recording a video to send to show they mean business: And for every hour you don't send the money, I'll hurt them

Tim: Can't I just wire you the ransom? I have the money And have plans for tonight that didn't involve this bullshit

Danny: I don't have either of those things, but I wanted to nap before going to my second job

Tim, twisting as much as he can to look at Danny: Second job? How old are you? Shouldn't you be in school?

Danny, shrugs: high school doesn't pay the bills and I rather live in my shady apartment than the streets

Tim: Dude-

Villain, jabbing a button on the machine: ENOUGH!

A short, but powerful electric shock is sent through the boys and they have very different, but similarly intense reactions. Tim yelps before breaking into Joker-like unhinged laughter that just won't stop. Danny screams bloody murder for the entire time of the shock and becoming catatonic once it stops. The villain is completely spooked by these responses, but figures it's a good ending for their ransom video and sends it off. Less than fifteen minutes later, Batman breaks into the building and beats the villain unconscious while a freaked out Robin disables the machine and unties the teens.

Damian: Dr-Drake?

Tim, still chocking on laughter and fumbling with the emergency medications he keeps on his person because of things like this: It's- HA It's fine- HA HA HA It happens some- HA HA- Sometimes when-when-HA HA- I'm Sh-shocked-HA HA HA- How's the-HA-the kid?

Damian: I don't know. He's unresponsive and I'm not sure if I should touch him... His eyes are glowing green..

Tim, shakily moves to see: Oh! HA HA Guess he-HA- he's coming with us-HA HA HA- he's coming with us now- HA

Danny, clearly not all there, starts mumbling: I'm not dead. I'm not dead. I'm alive. I'm not dead. I'm not dead. I'm not a monster. I'm alive. I'm still Danny. I'm not dead. I'm still Danny. I'm not dead.

Tim, slowly gaining control of his laughter: That's concerning Hehe

Damian: Indeed. I shall inform the others to expect a guest

Tim, nods before getting within arms reach of Danny: Danny-hehehe- Danny can you hear me? Hehe

Danny, snaps his jaw shut with a loud click when his name is said and awareness starts bleeding in: Wh-What?

Tim: We're hehe no electric shock budies hehe

Danny's bright glowing eyes lock onto Tim's still painfully smiling face before tugging up his left sleeve to show off his slightly glowing scarring: Electrocution sucks. Have some major ptsd dealing with it...

Tim: God, me too. Heh Electroshock therapy with the Joker is a zero out of ten, would not recommend heh

Danny, making a face: ew, clowns

Tim: HA Mood!

Batman, approaching from an angle that both the teens can see him coming: Do you have any family I can drop you with?

Danny: eeh... no? I got disowned by my parents last year and my sister hasn't moved out and started college just yet, but it's fine, I'll be fine, I was just telling... I just realized I don't know your name

Tim: Tim, Tim Drake

Danny: Oh! You're that teen CEO! No wonder they kidnapped you. I'm guessing my shitty luck is why I got snatched too

Tim: And you look like you could be one of my adopted siblings. What's your name btw?

Danny: Danny... Just Danny

Tim, stares Bruce down while clearly addressing Danny: How would you like to be a Drake or Wayne or both? We're trauma buddies now.

Danny, looking between Tim and Bruce: Uuh? What?

Tim starts grinning as Bruce looks defeated: B adopts every sad orphan with blue eyes or black hair, do you happen to be a vigilante? He speed runs the adoption process with the vigilante types

Danny, wide eyes: Uuuuh, I mean, I used to be something like that in my hometown??? I'm technically retired so I can keep a roof over my head???

Tim's grin is even wider: Cool, I'm Red Robin

Batman: TIM!!

Tim, ignores him: How old are you?

Danny: I turn 17 next month?

Tim, nods and turns to Batman: I'm pulling a you. He's mine now. Danny, you're a Drake now. Clown hating, electricity trauma bonded teen vigilantes got to stick together.

Robin: Father, I believe Drake is having a manic episode

Tim: Shut your mouth, demon brat. I forcefully adopted Bruce and Jason, I can forcefully adopt a little brother if I want.

Danny, looking intrigued, but also so done with the day: Do I get a say?

Tim, beaming: No. Now, do you have any food restrictions?

Tim manically babbles to Danny, pulling more and more of his shitty life out of him while Batman shepherds them to the batmoble. Danny never makes it to either of his jobs again and what little belongings he still has are moved to the manor within a week. He has a new identity and reenroled in school by the end of the month. It takes a while for him to reveal his ghost half, even with Duke being flashbanged everytime they're in the same room. That being said, he only goes out as a vigilante when it's an all hands on deck situation or a random ghost shows up, instead he focuses more on his studies and being the mad scientist making the batfam's gear, since he never planned to be a vigilante to begin with. Everyone is surprised when he's introduced to Kon, like they knew he'd be starry eyed over meeting an alien, but he's also excited to meet a clone and babbles about his clone(s(if Dan counts)). Said clone(s) are then given a standing invite to stay, Dani eventually agrees. Tim and Danny joke about being twins often since they're close in age and have similar habits and triggers, while Dani forcibly claims Damian as her twin despite being opposites in everything, but their gremlin energy. Jason is delighted by having death joke buddies and Dick is ecstatic to have someone to pun with. The more level headed members appreciate anytime Jazz is there to reel in her little siblings, and she turns down adoption when asked, not that it stops the batfam from considering her family.

Danny, at some point: Y'all're fruitloops, but you're my fruitloops.

Vlad is also blacklisted from all Wayne events and the Fenton Parents and GIW are chased out of town anytime they set foot there. All three suffer from financial ruin because the batfam is petty and protective of their own. The Ecto Acts don't stand a chance.

Danny covered his nose with his hand. Where ever he landed smelled absolutely foul, like rotten fruit and burning tires mixed with chem lab.

"Remind me to bring a face mask the next time I explore the Infinite Realms." He muttered, before kicking a soda can down the alley he was in and being repulsed by the squelch sound it made when it came into contact with a very questionable looking puddle, "Better yet, a gas mask." He glanced at the puddle again, "Or I could go full Hazmat." Clockwork had told him this world was full of superheros and villians and to steer clear of it, but once he learned there were aliens in this world he couldn't help himself. Danny had always been weak to his curiosity, but he liked to believe he was cautious, and chose to stay in his Phantom for for added protection.

Turning on his heel he exited onto a deserted street lined on one side by a chain-link fence. The sky above him was filled with clouds so ominous and dark that Danny honestly couldn't tell you if it was night or day, all he knew was that it was going to rain soon and hopefully these awful smells would be drowned out by the downpour.

Danny got his wish only minutes later. Thankfully Phantom was unbothered by the cold and could just bask in the rain as it fell apon him. A lesser known fact about ghosts is that thier clothes are made from thier ectoplasm and are part of thier bodies, much like a second layer of skin, so one would be able to feel things on thier clothes as easily as they would with thier bare skin. The level of sensitivity varies with the type of clothing however. All this to say Danny loved the feeling of the rivulets of rainwater traveling down his ghostly hazmat suit.

He was so preoccupied with enjoying the sensation that he didn't notice anything was wrong until he was jolted forward from the weight of someone landing on his back. The person was quick and precise, taking no time at all to have his wrists pinned behind his back and- weirdly enough- thier teeth digging into the material around his neck.

His parents designed the Hazmat suit Danny was wearing not only to deal with dangerous chemicals, but to fight supernatural foes. The area around the neck was reinforced with the intention of protecting against fatal gunshots and decapitations so naturally someone's jaw wasn't going to be enough to break through to his neck.

Danny let out a laugh as the person kept chewing on his neck like a confused puppy. Oh, Danny thought, they've gone feral. It was odd for someone to go feral but it could occur when a person has gone through something traumatic recently or through extreme stress. It made sense since the person ridding piggy back on him was dressed like a superhero. Danny wondered if that was why the person didn't have a scent. Danny learns facepalmed when he remembered that scentblockers existed and not everyone's scent dramatically changed whenever they went out as a hero. The scent change was probably one of the few things that have kept him alive up to this point to be honest.

"So, I guess you're not going to tell me why you're chewing on my neck like the worlds most pathetic vampire, are you?" No one deserves that title more than the fruitloop to be honest. He made a mental not to use that one against Vlad the next time he saw him.

Chewy whined at this, seeming to slump a bit from the apparent failure to bite him. What was that about? Was this actually a vampire? How would a vampire even react to Dannys ecto-blood combo meal anyway? Would it be like food poisoning? Or would it taste amazing from one undead to another. "I'm not exactly human, are you sure you wanna bite me? I might not taste so good." Danny warned, but the moment he mentioned letting the person bite him they were eager again.

Danny chuckled and unzipped the material only a bit before it was loose enough to move out of the way. The vampires bite came with a sharp pain like he expected but there was no suction. No drinking of blood. Just some weirdo biting Danny on the neck. Huh.

Danny hoped he didn't get rabies from this.

He must have accidentally said that out loud as there was a small laugh from the rooftops above them. There stood another person in a superhero outfit with some really tall dude dressed as a giant bat, and that was when Danny decided to bail. It was one thing to let a maybe vampire bite you in a random street in the middle of the night but more of them? And ones a big scary furry? Hard pass.

Phantom did as Phantoms do and went invisible and intangible, escaping from Biteys jaws and startling the heros. He ignored the distressed whine Munchy let out after loosing their spookyest chew toy and quickly rubbed the scent gland near dannys jaw on the top of thier head as an act of comfort before bolting.

Danny poked at the bite mark on his neck. Screw rabies, he better not get turned into a werewolf. He didn't need that on top of his ghostly crap. Sam seemed fascinated by the mark, after all, it wasn't every day that Danny got a scar, especially one so obvious. Most injuries heal quickly and leave no trace of him ever being injured in the first place which helped a lot in keeping his secret identity.

Luckily Danny hadn't needed to lie to mom and dad. He truthfully told them about some wierdo jumping off of a nearby rooftop and plunging thier teeth into his neck and that two other people had tried to corner him during this. He assured his mom that he had gotten away quickly but was a little shaken by it and his dad praised him for being brave and managing to escape.

That was nice. But he still had to figure out what was up with this bite...and why he felt so compelled to go back to that city.

Back to that hero.

Aka an A/B/O au where in Danny's universe all the Alphas are extinct and the betas followed soon after and the DC universe all the Omegas went extinct and betas followed after . Not like a "they finally went extinct in the 1700s after centuries of thier numbers dwindling" thing and became a myth/fairytale (tho I like that too) but a "this might be the missing link between cave men and modern humans" kinda thing.

Author’s note: I just remembered that the entirety of 4546B’s fauna are hermaphrodites… I realized that too late… But let’s assume that the Justice Leviathans pick whatever pronouns they prefer, ok? Ok.

On that note, I completely forgot about Billy Batson/Captain Marvel/Shazam and that makes me feel bad. Let me know what do you think I should do with him in this AU.

And hurray! This fic now has a name! My mom helped me pick it up. I think it fits.

I would also like to inform you that the general outline for the fic has been written down. It may still undergo some changes, but so far I’ve figured out the general direction I wanna take this story to.

Without further ado, on to the chapter.

Cassie eyed him warily “I don’t know, Tim. Seems a bit of a stretch.”

“No no, I think he has a point!” Kon argued. “The fact that no one tried that yet doesn’t mean it’s not possible.”

“Besides, it won’t hurt to just try” Bart offered.

The four of them were lounging in their smaller forms on the sandy beach near the caretakers' structure. The one that shoots bright green death into the sky. They weren’t too far from the water - the waves gently caressing the lower parts of their tails. It was sunny too, which Tim hated with his whole body. Bless Kon for shading him with his massive red tailfin. His pigmentation was practically shining as he absorbed the warm yellow light. Sometimes Tim envied him, but he still preferred the deep cold waters of the Lost River.

“But how exactly are we going to try?” Cassie asked with exasperation. “We don’t even fully understand how the first thing worked. Heck, our caretakers didn’t even know!”

“Look, it makes sense!”

“To you maybe…” Cassie bit back but Tim was already going on a tangent.

“I mean why would we be able to perform it the way we already do if we can’t go all the way? I know it wasn’t what the caretakers wanted from us but they anticipated the possibility! They talked about it, guys! You just weren’t there!” As soon as he said it he immediately understood his mistake.

His friends winced at the reminder of how often Tim has been taken for “check-ups”. Tim did too. He was never hurt when the caretakers took him to that cold room and put him on the table to then probe and poke at him with their things as they talked between each other. Not even with Tim until he learned to speak the same as them, but even then their questions were cold and detached, few and far between. Still, Tim understood them and memorized practically every word in their lengthy discussions about his and his packmates biology.

Tim definitely remembers them mentioning some possibilities. And if the caretakers said something was possible, more often than not it turned out to be true.

He sighed and looked apologetically at his friends. “I’m sorry. I know you don’t like me bringing that up. But you have to trust me on this one. I did all the calculations and already made all the precautions. If something were to go awry, Bart will rush to the adults for help.”

The Flashpoint nodded eagerly, determination in his eyes as he already slightly vibrated in place. Kon put a steadying hand on his shoulder to keep the young speedster in his place. The Sunbreak himself had the same determined look.

Only the Bronzeback was unsure, but she signed loudly in defeat. “Ok fine! Let’s do this! But if we get stuck on this beach forever, I’m blaming you, Tim!”

“Duly noted” the Nocturne replied with a smile. He wasn’t worried. He knew what he was doing and he was 98% sure of the success.

He has to do this if he wanted to get close to Danny.

Today Tim wasn’t in the shallows. The marker Danny put on him (with his permission) showed that he was at one of the islands. Hopefully he was ok and just went for a hunt or something. It’s a bit of a bummer though: Danny really wanted to show him the Prawn Suit he finally gathered enough materials to build. Oh well, his loss.

Once the suit was built and plopped into the water with a magnificent splash, Danny wasted no time in climbing inside, giddy as the AI greeted him with “welcome aboard captain“ in cool voice.

“I’m gonna call you Patrick!”

“Patrick” had a limited functionality yet and could only grab things and put them in storage compartment, which was also limited. But it would do until Danny builds a Moonpool.

For now he’s gonna give this baby a test-drive!

The controls were, as best vidoegames are, easy to learn, hard to master. Walking down a smooth path was a piece of cake. It's when the path turned all twisty and uneven Danny had to finagle his way around. But it's ok! He will get the hang of it eventually. It's basically the same as the Fenton Ecto-Skeleton, except it drains powercells instead of Danny's life energy.

It was fun!

Danny collected materials as he walked. The limestone outcrops stood no chance against "Patrick's" metallic fingers. Humming to himself a happy tune and feeling practically indestructible, Danny didn't exactly pay attention to where he was going.

So when his PDA alerted him that there's no more free space in "Patrick's" storage compartment, Danny finally took a look at his surroundings… and had no idea where he ended up.

It wasn't the Grassy Plateau, nor was it the Mushroom Forest. It was a wast sand-covered area with small clusters of tiny vegetation. Somewhere off to the side Danny noticed a few thermal vents.

He… he wandered all the way to the Dunes… which were crawling with…

He needed to go back ASAP!

But just as Danny were to turn the prawn suit towards the base… A roar way too close for comfort froze him in place.

And then “Patrick” was clutched between four powerful mandibles as Danny stared with horror into the empty black eyes of the Reaper Leviathan.

They were laughing when Kon suddenly turned rigid and stared at the ocean, face serious, ears twitching, eyes glowing a faint blue.

Tim knew something was wrong and his fear was confirmed:

“A Reaper attacked Danny!” Kon informed grimly. “In the Dunes!”

Tim’s brain turned into battle mode. “BART!”

“ON IT!” The young Flashpoint was in the water first, Sunbreak right after him.

‘Please be ok!’
