Finn had crossed off half of the names on the list when Logan came back from making them each a cup of tea in the kitchen. He snuggled up to Logan’s side, pulling his arm around his shoulder. “I just don’t know,” he said.

Logan leaned down and kissed his head. “What don’t you know?”

Finn breathed heavily. “I just- I just don’t know which ones I should apply to. They’re all such good schools.”

“Ouais,” Logan responded. “They are, so why don’t you apply to all of them?” He glanced at the notebook in Finn’s hand. “Only six left, that’s reasonable, oui?”

Finn chewed his lip, face heating up a little bit. “No, it’s not that. Like, they are good schools, and I would be lucky to get into any. Just, what if- what if I’m not…”

Logan brought his hand up to cup his jaw and turn his face to look in his eyes. “What if you’re not what, mon rouge?”

Finn tried to drop his gaze from Logan’s, but Logan held his jaw firmer, his pinky tracing Finn’s neck. Normally, this sort of touch would have him kissing Logan soundly on the mouth, hand working his way to grip the fleur-de-lis tattoo on Logan’s hip, but now he just resigned himself to sighing and collapsing a little in Logan’s hold. “What if I’m not good enough?”

Logan look taken aback, to Finn’s surprise. “What? Not good enough?” He shook his head hard, eyes firm but loving. “Non, you’re so good. Finn-”

“I know, I know. I know I’m good. Or at least,” he licked his lips. “I was good. I got good grades, at Harvard, but it’s been a few years. And I would be getting my Master’s from another good school, part-time, while still playing hockey.”

Logan looked confused. “Ouais, but I thought that you wanted to start studying again as you start thinking about…” He paused, looking Finn’s face up and down. “...stopping.”

None of them could say the word retirement, or at least not Logan and Finn. Logan still had a few seasons left, and Leo certainly did, but Finn- Finn loved hockey, but he kept getting injured. He broke his collar bone again last season in October, and had had two close concussion calls once again within his first four weeks back after being on injured reserve. After the second one, he had clutched Leo’s sweatshirt in the TD Garden PT room, a little desperate, as Leo held him tightly. “I don’t want another one, Le. I don’t want my brain to hurt anymore.”

Leo had just kissed the top of his head, stroked his back. “Okay, sweetheart. That’s okay, we can do something about that.”

Later that night, while video chatting an anxious Logan in their hotel room, Finn had started to cry into Leo’s chest when he suggested that, maybe, the following season would be his last.

“I didn’t really realize that it was a fear before now,” he had said. “But I don’t want to keep damaging my brain. It- it was harder to start reading after the last one, and I don’t want to stop reading. I don't-” His breath had hitched, and Leo just wrapped him closer in the blankets. “I don’t want to not be smart. I want to read to you without struggling, and I want to not have anymore setbacks, and I think that… I think that I want to teach.”

Unexpectedly, that had made Logan smile from the iPad screen. “Oh, mon rouge.” His head tilted, gaze adoring, as he watched Leo press his lips to Finn’s hair. “You’ll be such a good teacher.”

And here he was, applying for online English Lit Master’s programs to start part-time during his final season, and hopefully after he completed that he would go get his teaching certificate. He’d always imagine teaching high school. They were old enough to argue, but not too old that they were set in their ways. The world was still their oyster, with lots of room to grow. After all, Finn knew he definitely wasn’t the same person he was in high school.

“Rouge,” Logan started, interrupting his daydreaming. “Are you sure you want to do this now? Maybe we wait to do this until after next season.”

Finn shook his head. “No, no I want to do it now. I want it right in front of me.” He shuddered a breath. “I want something to look forward to, to motivate me to stay safe, I guess.”

Logan hummed, guiding Finn’s head to his chest and picking up his hand, where his wedding band was. He traced the rose-gold metal of one of his engagement rings, the one Leo had given him; Logan’s was slightly cool on the skin of his chest. Finn rotated between which one he wore with his wedding band every day on his hand, but put all three rings on the necklace when he went out to play, tucked under his jersey and close to his heart. Every time during warm-ups when the Lions played the Rangers, he caught Logan’s eye, lifted the chain from its place on his skin, and kissed it. Logan did the same with his two rings, his wedding ring and the engagement ring Leo had given him. And then, like clockwork, they’d each replace their rings, tucked safe under their jerseys, and turn to look at Leo, who was always watching them. Leo didn’t often like to wear a chain under his bulky padding, but he always pointed two fingers at his eyes, then at Logan’s, and back to his own, smiling cheekily. Finn loved watching them, even if he wished they were still playing together.

Today, he just watched Logan’s capable fingers trace the star designs in his ring, collecting his thoughts carefully before speaking again. “I think I’m more worried about the fact that I won’t be- academically capable of keeping up with college again. It’s not the work load, it’s just- what if I’m not smart any more?”

A scoff sounded behind them. Finn hadn’t even noticed Leo had come from the kitchen, where he’d been working on their dinner. His curls were tighter with the Gryffindor summer humidity and heat of the stove, Finn supposed. He raised his eyebrows expectantly at them and he crossed in front of the couch, leaving a kiss on Logan’s forehead before settling down on Finn’s other side and throwing his arm around the back of them both. “What do you mean ‘you’re not smart anymore’? You’re the smartest person I know, sweetheart.”

“Ouais, rouge,” Logan agreed. “Si intelligent.”

Finn rolled his eyes, but he was smiling a bit. “Well, of course you think that. You’re obligated to.” He lifted his hand, flashing his rings at them.

Leo snorted. “You know well enough by now that if you were bad at something, honey, I’d tell you.

Finn just flopped his head onto Leo’s shoulder. “Hmph.”

Logan lifted the hand that had been around Finn’s shoulder and reached up to play with Leo’s hair, scratching his scalp. “Le’s right, mon couer. You’ll be just fine. You still read all the time, and we have boxes of your essays in our closet. You can reread them if you need to, to help.” He brought his nose down to nudge at Finn’s temple. “You know, I always thought you looked so sexy when you got all dressed up to go give a presentation in college.”

Leo let out a happy breath, his nose scrunching. “Hey, when you start working in a high school, will you buy some hot teacher outfits?”

That had Finn laughing. “Oh God, that’s so bad.”

Leo shrugged. “Hey, all I’m saying is that if you were my English teacher, I’d never get anything done.” He brought his mouth to Finn’s ear and spoke lowly. “And I love English class.”

Logan smiled at him over Finn’s head, grin sharp. “Ouais, you do.”

Finn groaned, wiggling himself further between them and into the couch cushions. “All right, I get the point. I’m being silly.”

“Non,” Logan said. “You’re just thinking too hard.” He rapped his knuckles on Finn’s head lightly, and Finn just nudged him gently, then pulled him right back to where he was.

“Okay,” Finn said, sitting up slightly. “NYU. Wisconsin. BU, BC, Umass Amherst, and…” He thought briefly, pencil circling each school as he said them out loud. “Michigan.”

Leo kissed his forehead. “Proud of you, baby.”

“Me, too, rouge.”

“Thank you,” Finn said, squinting as they squished his cheeks with their kisses, still smiling even if it was difficult with their lips all over him. There could be bigger problems, though. “I love you both.”

“Love you, sweetheart.”

“J’taime.”

With a few more kisses each, they pulled away. Logan leaned over Finn’s head, now back to slumping on his chest, to kiss Leo, who pulled away to look at them briefly. “All right, now it’s supper time. C’mon, I made chili cause it’s raining and it’s cold today.”

Logan shook his head. “Non, soleil, it’s not cold.”

Leo shivered, wrapping his arms around himself. Years living in Gryffindor, and his body couldn’t shake off the yearning to be in the New Orleans heat. “Colder, at least than it has been the past few weeks this summer. I even made seasoned rice, and some of my mama’s zucchini bread for dessert.”

Both Finn and Logan perked up at that, and Leo laughed as they hastily got off the couch, a tangle of limbs and slight grunts. Finn set his notebook down and kissed each of them firmly before attempting Leo’s accent. “You heard the man, y’all, it’s supper time.”

Leo rolled his eyes, but took his hand and accepted Logan’s arms around his waist as they shuffled into the kitchen to plate their food.

hiii!!

i was wondering if we could get some overprotective cubs moments over each other ? they kill me with their cuteness and love for each other 💕

thank u!! love ur works smmm!!

Awwww, you're so sweet!

I DID write a Logan attack dog fic, but I DEFINITELY do see Finn and Leo getting protective every now and then. I feel like Leo is mostly fondly amused, whereas Finn is kind of just like, "Um, exCUSE me?! That's MY LeLo, thank you very much, lemme kiss 'em and prove it." and is less of an attack dog than Tremzy.

Logan sank into the feeling of Finn’s hands on his hips, guiding him to sway to the beat of whatever song was playing over the speakers. He didn’t recognize it; it was in Portuguese. But he didn’t care- he was on summer break, he was in Brazil, and, most importantly, his boyfriends were with him.

Well, one was.

Finn’s nimble fingers ran lower over Logan’s stomach, rucking up his shirt to press a palm to his abs. Logan shuddered and leaned back to rest his head against Finn’s shoulder. They normally didn’t go out to clubs like this, but Leo had been so excited to practice his Portuguese, and they hadn’t gone out all together in so long. The place they were at was small, intimate, but big enough to be unrecognizable. And, as Logan had soon realized, very queer. His eyes darted to a lesbian couple a few feet away from them, locked in a close embrace and making out like nobody could see them. And everybody could, but nobody looked. Logan glanced around- nobody was looking at him and Finn, either.

He leaned into the kisses Finn was placing on his neck. They were warm and sloppy against his already hot body, and he felt sweaty and a little fuzzy from the dancing and the alcohol. Logan made a soft noise and turned to kiss him properly. Finn smiled against his mouth. “You look so good, Lo, baby. So fucking sexy.”

Logan turned in his arms to get a better angle. He felt the beat of bass thrumming through him, accentuating the heat that was starting to pool in his hips. Finn began to kiss down his throat again and Logan let his head fall back, letting out a groan, eyes hooded. His vision was unfocused for a minute, too lost in Finn’s touch and smell, until it zoomed in on two bodies at the bar. He sucked in a sharp breath and tugged Finn’s hair. “Rouge. Rouge.”

“Yeah?” Finn hardly pulled away to gasp out the question before his teeth were back against Logan’s neck.

Logan let out a curse. “Fish, Leo. Leo.”

Finn straightened. His mouth was red and wet. “Huh? What happened?”

“Allez, look.”

Finn turned his head to where Logan had gestured, eyes moving quickly for a second, before they widened, then narrowed. “Huh.”

Across the bar, Leo looked stunning. He’d bought some Brazilian products from the store the other day, and his sun-lightened curls were defined and soft, softer than Logan had ever felt them. The colored lights of the venue bounced off them like light and glowed against his tan- so tan- skin, making his blue eyes stand out, even in the darkness. Leo thrived in places like this, Logan had found out this trip. He’d been wanting to go to a queer venue for so long, but the hockey season made it difficult, and people were funny about that stuff when they recognized them. But here, nobody knew who they were, and Leo seemed to be taking full advantage of that and played the average tourist so well- except for the fact that he drew eyes everywhere they went because he was just so gorgeous.

Now, he seemed to be stumbling his way through speaking Portuguese at the bar with a man just as tall as him, with smooth skin and glitter on his bare, strong chest that reflected off of him whenever a light flashed. He seemed kind- he wasn’t leering at Leo. But he definitely was taking the conversation to mean something more than it really did. After all, Leo had gone to get drinks for himself and his boyfriends.

Logan turned back to Finn. “What do we do?”

Finn shook his head. “Let’s wait. He might come back once he orders the drinks.”

They watched for a minute more, and the bartender still hadn’t approached Leo, too busy with some folks on the other end. But the man seemed comfortable enough to make a move, because he put his hand on Leo’s arm. Leo looked down at it with a furrowed brow.

“Okay, that’s it,” Finn said. He grabbed Logan’s hand and tugged him over gently. When they got to the bar, he slipped an arm possessively around Leo’s waist. “Hi, sunshine.”

Leo turned to him, smile happy and a little tipsy. “Hi, sweetheart. Having fun?”

Finn didn’t respond, just tilted his head up to kiss Leo. Hard.

Leo made a surprised noise, but moved a hand to cup Finn’s jaw. Finn took this as an excuse to deepen the kiss, letting go of Logan’s hand with a squeeze to press Leo up against the bar, his hands roaming all over Leo’s body. Logan watched them for a moment before realizing they still had company, then turned to face the guy. He didn’t even seem phased- mostly amused. “You’re together?” he asked Logan in heavily accented English.

“Ouais,” Logan said. “I mean, yes. We are.”

The man jerked his head. “You’re lucky. Very cute. He speaks good Portuguese.”

Logan nodded. “Merci.”

The man clapped him on the shoulder with a smile and walked away. Logan watched him for a moment, chewing his lip, before he felt someone bump into him. It had been Finn, he realized. Leo had straightened, body up and away from the bar, to take Finn’s head in both of his hands as they kissed aggressively. Finn let out a whine, a sound Logan didn’t hear frequently, and arched backwards at the leverage Leo had over him. Their heads bent together, mouths moving frantically, did funny things to Logan’s chest. Sometimes they looked so beautiful together he could barely breathe. He took advantage of their close proximity and pressed a hand to the dip in each of their waists.

Leo held Finn still for a long, lingering moment before pulling away with a smirk. His eyes were wide and his pupils were dark as he took in Finn’s flushed face. He looked like some sort of tempting angel in this light. “Well,” he said. “Jealousy looks good on you.”

Finn licked his obviously-kissed lips. “I wasn’t jealous.”

Leo raised his eyebrows. “You weren’t?”

“No.”

Leo hummed. “Then you wouldn’t have minded,” he began, gripping Finn’s jaw with his hand and kissing his neck wetly, “if he touched me like this?”

Finn groaned. His ears were red. “Leo.”

Leo’s smile turned wicked. He squeezed Finn’s jaw playfully before turning to Logan. His eyes kept Logan in place. “And you’re going to tell me you weren’t jealous either?”

Logan shook his head. “I wasn’t.”

“Mm.” He nicked Logan’s chin with his finger, and Logan met his challenging gaze. Leo’s smirk widened. “You know I only have eyes for you both, honey.” He dipped down to brush his lips, just barely, against Logan’s. “Only you, baby.”

Logan closed his eyes and leaned in, expecting a kiss, but he was met with air. He opened his eyes, affronted, until he saw Leo had stepped back a few feet, looking them up and down while biting his lip, glowing in the dim light. Beside him, Finn sucked in a sharp breath. Logan’s heart dropped to his stomach. “Soleil, viens ici.”

Leo shook his head and looked between the two of them. He held out his hands. “Come. Come dance with me.”

And how could they do anything but follow?

***

Finn O’Hara was many things at once. A brother, a son, an athlete, a teacher, a husband- one of the loves of Leo’s life. But, almost more than anything, Finn O’Hara was, first and foremost, a chatterbox.

Leo looked at his watch and sighed. It was already close to eleven at night, and he and Logan had a game the following day. But Logan seemed content against his side, and Finn was… well, Finn was being his normal Finn self, Leo supposed.

His red hair caught the light across the room as he chatted with the bartender. She was new, Leo thought. The Lions had been renting out the top room of this restaurant for as long as he could remember, and he had never seen her before. She was pretty, her black locks done in a braid down her back, and she was tall, almost as tall as Finn. In another life, Finn probably would have asked her for coffee. But he wasn’t in another life, and Leo liked to think that, even if they did live in an alternate universe, the three of them would be together, so he rendered that point mute in the back of his head.

The bartender was wiping a glass dry with a towel, sending Finn flirtatious glances from the side of her eye everytime she said something back to him, but he seemed blissfully unaware. He was probably talking about the drink he ordered, as tended to happen. He was a lover of the finer things in life, and that included good whiskey.

Leo felt an absentminded kiss being pressed to his shoulder. “Soleil.”

“Hm?” Leo said distractedly. He looked down to find Logan staring up at him, bags under his beautiful eyes. He had smiles lines at the corners of them. It made Leo smile, too, and press a lingering kiss to his forehead. “Tired, sweetheart?”

Logan nodded. He secured his arms tightly around Leo’s waist and pressed his nose into Leo’s neck. His eyes were closed. “Ouais. Where’s rouge?”

Leo rubbed a hand up and down his ribs. “Over there chatting up the bar tender.”

Logan lifted his head to look over curiously. He watched for a moment, then a small grin broke over his face. He shook his head fondly. “Il est si mignon.”

Leo laughed, pressing his nose into the top of Logan’s hair. “He doesn’t even realize he’s such a flirt.” He kissed Logan’s cheek briefly. “Stay here, honey. I’ll go rescue our husband.”

Leo crossed the room quickly, giving small smiles and nods to his teammates, his coaches, the training staff. But his sights were set on the bar. Finn looked so good in his teacher slacks and button down, glasses perched on his nose and reflecting the light. Leo always knew the look would suit him. He had a whiskey glass in his hands that he kept fiddling with, his wedding band and Leo’s engagement ring flashing in the light. Logan’s engagement ring shone starkly against his freckled collarbone.

When Leo got to the bar, he pressed close to Finn’s body, settling a had low on his back. His skin was warm through the fabric of his thin shirt. “Hi, sweetheart.”

Finn immediately turned his head, smile as wide as it ever got when he look at Leo and Logan, and then turned his body to the side to look at Leo more squarely. “Hi, baby. Look here, try this bourbon, Macy here said it’s made at a distillery not too far. We’ll have to go visit.”

Leo flashed his eyes briefly to the bartender, Macy, who was definitely pretending not to listen, as he took a sip and let the alcohol settle over his tongue. Finn’s brown eyes were as warm as the drink as they watched Leo over the rim of the glass. He nodded and hummed. “It’s good.” At Finn’s answering grin, Leo leaned over and kissed him. It was maybe too deep for a public setting, but Leo didn’t really care.

When Finn pulled away, he did so with a little intake of breath. He looked happy, though, as he brushed Leo’s nose with his own. “What was that for, sunshine?”

“Just ‘cause I love you.” He looked over at Macy once more, then back to Finn. He leaned in to talk lowly in his ear. “And ‘cause you’re mine.”

Finn caught on immediately. He looked almost gleeful as he wrapped his arm tightly around Leo’s waist. “You know I only have eyes for you and baby.” He leaned in closer. “My sexy husbands.”

Leo hummed, kissing Finn languidly again, scrapping his teeth just barely along his bottom lip. “You also forget what flirting is,” he whispered. “The entire room wants you.”

Finn ran his tongue over his lip where Leo’s teeth had just bit. “Funny. I only care about two in this room wanting me.”

Leo smiled. “Good.”

He kissed Finn once more, pressing their bodies together with his hands on Finn’s hips. Finn made a soft, wanting sound against his mouth before Leo pulled away. “Wait, one more.”

Leo kissed him once, twice, three times more, hard. They broke apart and Leo reached a hand up to cup Finn’s cheek. “Speaking of people wanting you...” At Finn’s raised eyebrows, Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “Hush, that’s not what I meant.” He tapped his thumb against Finn’s bottom lip. “The other husband who wants you is tired, and he wants to go to bed.”

That got Finn to soften. “Where is he?”

Leo took his hand and laced their fingers together. “Waiting for us. C’mon, let’s finish the whiskey and go home.”

Finn knocked back the rest of the bourbon with a flourish (and Leo certainly didn’t watch the line of his throat as he swallowed), then rested the glass down hard on the countertop. He smiled at Macy. “Thanks so much, that was delicious. You have a good night!”

She smiled back, although it was more reserved. “You folks, too. Drive safe.”

Finn waved his free hand at her, then went at Leo’s tug on his other one. “I’m coming sunshine. Gotta get grumpy home.”

Leo laughed and squeezed his fingers. “You know, you still got it after all these years, Heartthrob O’Hara.”

Finn pressed close behind Leo as they stopped to let a waiter with a tray pass. He ran a hand slowly down the curve of Leo’s hips to his butt and gave it a pat. “Good. Gotta keep you and Lolo falling in love with me.”

Leo bit his lip around a smile as they began to move again, side-by-side. “Oh, honey, we already are.”

“Lucky me, then. Got the two hottest guys on the planet as my husbands. Fucking score.”

Leo stopped abruptly and turned sideways to cup Finn’s face. Finn stumbled in surprise, but leaned into Leo’s soft hold. “I love you,” Leo whispered, and kissed him softly.

Finn’s smile was everything. “I love you, too.”

Leo kissed him again, then turned to where he knew Logan would be waiting. He spotted him, all handsome in a maroon quarter-zip and khakis, brown waves falling gently over his head. His fingers were running absentmindedly over the rim of his almost-empty glass of rum and coke, green eyes surveying the room in that intense way they did. Leo stood for a moment, content to just take him in: the athletic line of his shoulders, his perpetually-tan skin, his sharp jawline- the way he smiled nervously as two definitely tispy girls came through the event room doors and approached him, stumbling in their heels.

Leo groaned. “Oh, for Pete’s sake.” He tugged Finn’s hand firmly, dragging him along even when he let out a noise of surprise. “I can’t take you two anywhere.”

Finn was laughing softly as they cleared the last few feet between them and their husband shortly. One of the girls jumped a little when she saw them, taking a step back. “Uh. Hi.”

Leo smiled exaggeratedly. “Hi there.” He gestured with his head. “If you’ll excuse me, I’m just here to take my husband home.”

The second girl, the one who was standing closer to Logan, blinked hard in surprise. “Husband?”

Leo nodded curtly, still smiling. “Yes.” He sidestepped her and put his hands on Logan’s hips. He let his face relax a little bit as he met soft green eyes. “Hi, sweetheart.”

“Soleil.” Logan looked tired, but amused, as he cupped the back of Leo’s head and stood on his tiptoes. “Ça va?”

Leo just craned his neck down to kiss him firmly. He could hear the girls behind him now moving on to Finn (honestly, what was Leo going to do with him?), but he let them down quickly enough. “Oh, no. You both seem kind, but they’re both my husbands, that I’m very much in love with. You got a ride home?”

Leo didn’t really pay attention after that. He was too focused on the heat of Logan’s body pressed against him, on the way it felt when he scratched his blunt nails across his scalp. Logan made a soft sound into Leo’s mouth before pulling away. He laughed lightly. “Mon coeur, ça va?”

“You’re mine,” Leo whispered. He felt a little frantic, high on adrenaline, and took a deep breath. “You’re mine.”

“Ouais, all yours.” He turned to face Finn, who had come to press against their sides. “And yours.”

Finn waggled his eyebrows and kissed Logan briefly. “Oo, yay, lucky me.” He wrapped an arm around each of their waists. “I sent them off with one of the waiters to call a cab. Got too deep in the margaritas, it seems.” He pressed his lips to each of their cheeks. “Home?”

“Yeah,” Leo nodded. “Let’s go home.” He huffed. “Then I can have you all to myself. I mean, what’s with all these people?”

That made Logan smile widely, teeth and all. He swayed into Leo’s hold. “You know, soleil, I like you jealous.”

“Yeah, now I’ve got two guard dogs for husbands,” Finn contributed. “I’m a lucky, lucky man.”

Leo rolled his eyes and blushed. “You’re my husbands, and I didn’t like people all over you. I’m not a guard dog.”

Finn nuzzled his cheek. “Woof woof, baby. C’mon. I remember saying something about going to bed. Big time cuddles, let’s go.”

Finn led them out of the restaurant, whistling softly as they headed down the stairs. Logan was holding tight to Leo’s hand. When they got to the bottom few steps, Logan stopped him with a tug. He was two steps above Leo, and this way Leo had to look up at him. He looked almost like a prince from a movie, with the restaurant lights and chandelier in the background, his smile soft and loving. Leo’s heart stopped at the sight of him. “You know, soleil,” Logan whispered, “that you’re the only ones for me.” He leaned down to press their foreheads together. “Toute ma vie.”

Leo let his eyes fall closed. “Oui. Toute ma vie.” He kissed Logan softly, and it felt like gentle electricity. “I love you.”

“Je t’aime, mon coeur.”

“Hey, gorgeous husbands! Let’s go, it’s cuddle time.”

Leo felt Logan smile as he pressed one more kiss to Leo’s mouth. “Ouais. Coming.” He pulled away and kissed Leo’s hand gently. “Allez, soleil. We’ve got a sexy redhead waiting for us.”

“Damn right,” Finn said. He was waiting for them, opening the door with a flourish and his signature grin. “After you, babes. But I gotta warn you, there’s an exit fee.”

Leo stepped into his space. “Oh yeah? What’s that?”

“Why, a true love’s kiss of course, from a prince. Or two, I’m not fussy.”

Leo complied, kissing him happily. “I love you.”

“Love you.” He hummed when Logan kissed him, too, then followed them out into the parking lot. “All right, you’re allowed through. But there’s an entrance fee to our apartment, too. And to the bedroom. And the living room and the kitchen. Actually, anywhere you go there’s an entrance fee, I’ve decided. No breaking the law.”

Logan and Leo smiled at each other. Leo took Logan’s hand in his right, and Finn’s in his left. A deep warmth settled in his chest. “Wouldn’t dream of it, honey,” he said to Finn, kissing the side of his head. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”

Hi! I just read your last prompt (Leo feeling insecure about his age) and I really liked the idea of him having friends from college (like Amanda). Would love to read more about him and that friend group if you ever feel the inspiration strike!

This was so much fun to write! A little goofy, a little silly, very innocent college fun! There is alcohol consumption, but it is safe, and everyone is mindful.

“No, no, Regulus, it’s gonna-”

Regulus let out a loud laugh as the coke ran over the red plastic cup and onto his hand. “Oh no!”

Leo giggled, shaking his head fondly. “You’re so fucking drunk.”

“Sh, don’t tell my brother. He’s so grumpy.”

“He’s not grumpy.”

“Is to!”

“He’s not even here, he’s in Gryff. And what are we, five?”

“Ouais, Leo, allez, I need help!”

Leo sighed, setting his own solo cup down on the sand to take the bottle of coke from Regulus and twist the top closed. He then took the rum and coke and held it gently to Regulus’ mouth. “Just a little sip off the top, okay? So it doesn’t spill.”

With comically wide eyes and flushed red cheeks, Regulus gingerly drank, confidently taking the cup from Leo when the liquid sank down further and further away from the rim. “Merci.”

Leo patted his back softly. “Any time.” He looked around the beach. “Where are the others?”

Regulus shrugged. “I don’t know. Swimming, I guess?”

Leo sat up suddenly. “Are they drunk?”

“Non, non,” Regulus said, waving his hand. “I am. They aren’t. They only had a drink each, I made sure of it.”

Leo narrowed his eyes. “Are you sure?”

Regulus’ eyeroll could only be called impressive. “Ouais. I made sure, then I drank enough for each of them.”

That made Leo snort. “You sure fucking did.”

Regulus made a noise, then took another sip of his drink. When he pulled his hand back, he looked contemplative. He smiled at Leo softly. “I’m glad you’re here.”

Leo raised his eyebrows in amusement. “Well, I kind of have to be. It’s my boyfriend’s Hamptons house.”

“Non, non, not that,” Regulus said. “Mais, ouais, that, but also…” He glanced up at the stars, bright in the cool May air. His eyes lit up and he pointed. “Allez, look,” he said with a wide smile. “The Leo constellation.”

Leo turned his gaze upwards. He grinned at the cluster of stars. He could imagine the mane, the tail, the claws. “Would you look at that.”

A head thumped on his shoulder. “I’m just really glad we’re friends, Le.”

Leo rested his head against Regulus’. “Me, too.”

“Thanks for being my first friend when I first got to Gryff. My first real friend.”

“Thanks for being mine.”

Regulus sat up and scoffed at him. “I was not.”

Leo shrugged. “You kind of were.”

“Finn and Logan were your first friends.”

“They’re my boyfriends, they don’t count.”

“Let me tell them that, see what they think.”

Leo laughed. “I just mean… I don’t know, they were my first friends, yeah. But then they were- are- my boyfriends, and the loves of my life. And the rest of the team were also my friends in the beginning, but…”

Regulus nudged him with a kind elbow. “But what?”

Leo bit the inside of his cheek. “You were my first- normal friend, I guess.”

“Oh, so I’m just ‘normal’, am I?”

Leo wrapped an arm around him and jostled him. “I never said you were boring, shut up. You were just my first friend outside of hockey. Like, did you play it? Yes. Does your brother? Yes. But you don’t play it anymore, and you live this-” He raised his fingers in air quotes. “‘-normal’ life. You go to college and stuff.”

“‘College and stuff’, the fuck does that mean?”

“It means exactly what I said it means, you weirdo,” Leo retorted, scuffing Regulus in the back of the head. “I’m trying to tell you I appreciate you.”

“Sorry, sorry.” Regulus clumsily patted Leo’s back in consolation. “But I get it.”

“I know you do.” Leo looked back up at the constellation for a moment and sighed. “Thank you. For introducing me to your NYU friends.”

There was a pause. Regulus leaned his head back on Leo’s shoulder. “They’re yours, now, too, Le.”

As if on cue, a body crashed into them from behind, an arm thrown around each of their shoulders. “You’ll never guess what just happened to me!” Amanda whispered excitedly in their ears.

Leo leaned back slightly and turned to face her. “Oh? What happened?”

She came around in front of them and flopped dramatically on the blanket. “She smiled at me!”

Regulus’ eyes rolled so far back Leo swore he saw his own skull. “Seriously? This again? You’re absolutely pathetic, you know that?”

Amanda pushed herself up onto her elbows and pointed her finger at him with a scowl. “And you are homophobic.”

Regulus looked unimpressed. “That is not true. You are the one who’s been pining after a girl for two years, and we’ve finally become friends with her and you still do nothing!”

John appeared from behind them and sat down beside Amanda. “It’s true. Aadhya is just being friendly and you are the one that’s blushing and stammering. Pull yourself together, man.”

“But she’s gorgeous!”

John just bonked his head on his own knees with a groan.

Leo smiled, shifting to sit up slightly and looking down at Amanda’s still blissed-out face. “Have you tried just telling her you like her?”

Amanda looked at him with wide eyes. “That’s so scary, absolutely not.” She crossed her arms petulantly. “I can sit in my own sapphic misery, thanks.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “No you’re not.”

“I so am.” She looked out to where Aadhya was still talking with Harper and their other friend Ezekiel by the shore. “I just don’t want to be rejected, you know? My last relationship didn’t end so well.”

Leo smiled sadly. “I know a thing or two about that.” When her eyes darted to him, he bit his lip and continued. “But you can’t let that stop you from looking for love again. Even if it’s scary.”

“Yeah, says the guy with two boyfriends.” She winced at her accidentally bitter tone. “I’m sorry, that was uncalled for.”

“It’s alright.” Leo thought for a second, then a mischievous grin took over his face. He looked to Regulus. “You know…”

Regulus sat up straight, looking cautiously back at him. “What? Knut, what is going on in your head?”

Leo waggled his eyebrows at him, then turned back to Amanda and John. “Finn’s house has a lot of bedrooms. The boys and I are in his old one, but there’s his parent’s bedroom, Alex’s room, and a guest room.”

John looked to their friends still by the ocean, then back at him, a wicked smile on his face. “Are you saying…?”

“Oh, I’m definitely saying that.”

Amanda pushed herself into a sitting position. She looked determined. “I am not just going to have sex with her.”

Leo shook his head. “I’m not saying that.” He patted her knee. “I’m actually advocating that that not be the goal, however fine it would be if it happened.” At her playful glare, he laughed and continued. “I’m just saying it’d be a private place for you two to talk! You guys can have a room, Harper and Regulus can have one, and John and Ezekiel.”

Regulus nodded along. “Yeah, and if it goes to shit, you can just come to ours.”

Amanda considered this for a minute. Her brow was furrowed in anxiety, but she was resolute when she met Leo’s eyes. “Okay. Okay, yeah, let’s do that. I’ll talk to her.”

“Oh, thank God!” John said. “Fucking finally, I don’t know how much more I could’ve taken.”

Amanda smacked him on the arm. “Shut up.” She turned back to Leo with a grateful smile. “Thank you, Leo.”

Leo smiled widely. “Anytime.” He reached behind him for the rum bottle and a stack of cups. “Now, I don’t know about you, but I need to let loose, and we don’t have to drive tonight because my boyfriend’s house is right there. So I’m having a fucking drink. Who wants one?”

***

“Leo, I have to pee, I have to pee!”

“Me, too! I’ve gotta shower, my boyfriends won’t let me sleep in the bed if I don’t!”

“Then let me go first!”

“Sh, okay, fine, hurry up, hurry up.”

Leo bounced on his toes anxiously outside the bathroom while he waited for Regulus to empty his bladder. He could hear John and Ezekiel talking lowly with Harper in one of the other bedrooms. Amanda and Aadhya’s room was fairly quiet, but they had gone in ages ago and nobody had come out yet. Leo took that as a good sign.

The door to the bathroom clicked open and Regulus slipped out, toothbrush hanging from his mouth. “M’kay, ‘oo goh’uh go.”

Leo furrowed his eyebrows. “Don’t you have to spit?”

“Ou’ ‘uh ‘indow.”

Leo just stared for a moment. “I- okay, wow, okay. Sure, spit it out the window, that’s fine.”

Regulus just leaned in and hugged him. He smelled like mint and sweat. “‘Uv ‘oo. G’ight.”

Leo smiled. “Love you, too. See you in the morning.”

Regulus squeezed him one more time before staggering tiredly towards his bedroom. Leo shook his head fondly as he entered the bathroom. He caught himself humming and smiled at his reflection. He looked happy, young, tipsy- free, he realized. Leo liked that look on himself.

His vision was a little fuzzy in the shower, and he maybe dropped the soap too many times and almost choked on his toothbrush, but he managed to stumble his way out clean and (hopefully) smelling better than he had fifteen minutes ago. When he opened the door to Finn’s bedroom, he found both of his boyfriends snuggled up shirtless under the covers, each of them dead asleep. He tiptoed his way through pulling his boxers on before standing to take a look at them with his head tilted. Logan’s head was tucked under Finn’s chin like it normally was. His hair was a bit of a mess, but it looked adorable on him. Finn always looked so good when he slept, all sharp features and freckles shining in the moonlight. Leo giggled to himself. Two. He had two boyfriends.

His laughter must have woken them up, because their bodies started stirring. Finn lifted his head up and stared for a second before he broke out into a smile. “Hi, baby,” he whispered. His voice was rough and low with sleep. “Have fun?”

Leo felt giddy. “I have friends.”

“Oh? Good, baby, I want you to have friends.”

Leo nodded eagerly as he knelt on the end of the bed. “Uh huh.” He shimmied a little to sit back on his heels, gazing at them excitedly. “And I have boyfriends.”

That made Logan laugh, low and happy in the dark room. “Ouais, you do.” He didn’t bring his head up, but he reached around to pat the empty mattress behind him. “Ici, soleil.”

Finn opened his arm. “C’mere, baby.”

Leo complied, snuggling against Logan’s back and leaning into the hand Finn settled in the dip of his waist. He sighed into Logan’s hair. It was so warm here. “It’s so warm here.”

“Good.” Finn’s hand came up briefly to scratch through his hair. “Everyone in the house okay?”

Leo nodded. “Ouais.” He smiled and buried his face in Logan’s shoulder. “Amanda and Aadhya are in a room together. Doing lesbian things.”

Finn snorted. “Lesbian things?”

“Well, hopefully doing lesbian things. That’s the goal. That they do lesbian things.”

Finn and Logan’s giggled were muffled into the pillows. Logan tangled their ankles together. “And did you help them do those lesbian things?”

“What? Ew, no.” Leo wrinkled his nose. “I don’t like lesbian things, but they do. Well, Amanda’s bi, so she likes both lesbian and not-lesbian things I guess, but that’s just technicalities.” He settled further against the mattress. “The point is, I just provided them the place to do those lesbian things, if they so choose. Which, again I hope they do. They’re just talking first, though.”

Finn ran a hand up and down his ribs. “Well, I’m glad that they’re hopefully doing lesbian things.” He pinched Leo’s hip. “You’re chatty when you’re drunk.”

“I’m not drunk. I’m tipsy.”

“Sorry, my bad. You’re chatty when you’re tipsy.”

“I’m just excited. I’ve got friends. And boyfriends.” He wrapped his arms tighter around Logan’s waist and kissed his upper back. “Have I mentioned how excited I am to have boyfriends?”

“Ouais, once or twice.” Leo could imagine Logan’s smile. “We’re excited to have boyfriends, too.”

“Mm, good.” Leo nuzzled into Logan’s neck. “One day I want us to be not-boyfriends, though.”

Finn made a confused noise. “Huh? Sunshine, that’s not an option.”

“Uh, yeah, it is.” Leo propped himself up on one elbow to stare down at them. They looked confused, and slightly panicked, so he smiled. “I want us to be not-boyfriends. Husbands, silly.”

Logan’s expression morphed into one of pure joy. “Ouais,” he whispered, his smile all teeth. “Ouais, husbands sounds good.”

Finn winced. “Yeah, but let’s not call it ‘not-boyfriends’, okay? That’ll just confuse me. Emotionally.”

Leo cocked his head. “But then we wouldn’t be boyfriends. We’d be husbands, Fish.” He reached out to squish Finn’s cheeks. “Fishy fishy Fish. Huh, you’re not actually that squishable.”

Logan rolled onto his back and pressed his palms to the side of Leo’s round face, applying pressure. “But you are.” He drew Leo down to look him in the eyes. “And when I make you my husbands, you’ll still be my boyfriends.”

“Yeah, sunshine,” Finn agreed. “It’s a three-for-one deal sort of situation. When we get married, we are boyfriends, fiancés, and husbands all in one. Times three, for each of us.” He looked to Logan. “Yeah, so really, nine-in-one.”

Logan nodded in agreement. “Ouais, that’s right.” He looked back to Leo. “C’est bon?”

Leo smiled. “Oui.” He leaned down to kiss each of them, a little sloppy in his tipsy state, but they melted back into the pillows for it nonetheless. “I love you.”

“We love you so much, Le, baby.” Finn scooched back and rested a palm on the space in between himself and Logan. “Come lay down, sweetheart, it’s bed time.”

Leo made a happy sound and flopped in between them, a little heavily, if their grunts and laughs when he hit the mattress were anything to go by. “I’ve got two boyfriends,” he sighed contentedly.

Logan ran blunt nails up and down his back. “Ouais.” He kissed Leo’s curls at the same time Finn kissed Leo’s forehead. “Now, go to sleep, mon coeur. We’ll order breakfast in the morning.”

“Yay,” Leo whispered, halfway asleep. “Love you.”

“Love you,” Finn replied softly. “Love you, love you, love you.”

A little Cubs engagement fic I wrote inspired by @lumosinlove and her amazing OCs. Haz, thank you for this wonderful universe! Go Lions! (And Bruins) 🦁🐻

Leo let out a groan as he stretched in the mid-morning light coming through their curtains, their bedroom warm and a bit stuffy from the summer heat. He felt Logan’s soft hair on his chest, bobbing a little bit with the movement of him arching his back. Logan’s breath was coming out in soft puffs against his pecs, and Leo heard the hitch that signaled he was waking up. Leo smiled, eyes still closed, and felt a hand scratch through his hair.

“Morning, baby.”

Leo turned to look at Finn, who was propped up against some pillows, book in hand and his glasses perched on the end of his nose. He continued carding Leo’s hair back from his head, and Leo tilted his face to kiss his palm gently. “Hi.”

Finn breathed out a soft laugh, pushed his glasses up, then turned to look down at Logan, moving his hand down to rub at Logan’s back. “Up and at ‘em, Tremblay.”

Logan scrunched his eyes and buried his face further into Leo. “Non,” he grumbled. “Nous sommes en vacances. Vacation.”

Finn just laughed, setting his book aside and scooting down the bed to prop his chin on Logan’s strong back muscles. “Breakfast. Gym time. Training.”

“Non.”

“Yon. Professional athletes. We still gotta work out during the summer.”

Logan just groaned even louder, but sighed happily as Finn began peppering kisses down his back, working his way down to the dip of Logan’s waist where the sheets were pooled. “Ouais, feels good, rouge.”

Finn just looked up at Leo, grinning with a glint in his eye, and bit at the fleshy bit of Logan’s skin just beside his spine. Logan hissed, and finally looked up, turning his green eyes on Leo’s face. Leo just bit his lip, grinning, and reached his hand down to press the pad of his thumb to Logan’s mouth, catching on his full lower lip. “Hi, sweetheart.”

Logan closed his eyes and smiled dreamily for a moment, before wiggling his way out of the sheets and scrambling up to straddle Leo’s lap. Leo laughed, opening his arms and letting Logan all but flop down on top of him, tucking his face into his neck where his dark hair was curling as he grew it out. Logan sighed deeply, pressing his lips to Leo’s neck, then reaching one arm behind him. “Fish, ici.”

Finn scoffed, but complied, straddling Leo’s knees and lower thighs and wrapping his arms around Logan’s waist. “Man oh man, you are a bossy one, aren’t you?”

“Non.”

“Uh huh, yon.”

Leo could feel Logan’s grin against his neck, and looked over Logan’s shoulder to Finn, who had been leaning his head against Logan’s hair. He looked up to meet Leo’s eyes, then smiled at him. Leo only had just enough time to smile back before Finn was leaning in and kissing him softly. “Howdy, nutter butter baby.”

Leo just looked at him. “Love you.”

That made Finn really smile, bright and giddy, and he leaned in to kiss Leo harder, firmer. They were abruptly split apart by Logan moving his head back, twisting his torso around and reaching back with his right hand to cup the back of Finn’s neck. He looked between the two of them briefly, kissing Finn gently, then turning to Leo and kissing him short and hard. “Je vous aime.”

A noise escaped Finn that was a mixture of a laugh and a groan, and he suddenly launched himself forward, crushing Logan into Leo’s chest, causing them all to laugh. “What is this, ‘make Finn cry morning’? Stop looking at me like that, holy moley.”

“Oh?” Leo teased.

Finn rolled his eyes. “Not really, but think of my poor heart right now, Knut.”

Leo snorted. “Last name. Guess I’m in real trouble.”

Logan peeked out at him from under his eyelashes. “That sounds like fun.”

Finn patted his hip. “It might just be, Tremblay.” He sat up and rolled out of the bed, his long, summer-freckled torso on display as he stretched. Logan and Leo just watched him. “Alright, now it’s really time to seize the day.” He turned to look at them, his face softening. “Seriously, you keep looking at me like that and we aren’t making it to the gym.”

Logan just looked at him while biting just beside Leo’s nipple, making Leo jump a little in shock. “Lo, we gotta go,” he chastised gently.

“Non.”

“Yes, ouais, we do.”

“Ways, babes, let’s go.”

Logan just grumbled at Finn’s French, pushing himself up on his elbows, kissing Leo and rolling out of his bed. “Café.”

Finn slipped his arms around Logan’s waist, giving his butt a firm pat and a squeeze. “You don’t deserve to call your sugar monstrosity coffee, baby, but I love the spirit.”

Logan rolled his eyes so hard they almost went back into his skull, but he reached up and squeezed Finn’s cheeks anyways. “C’est du cafe.”

Finn narrowed his eyes but accepted Logan’s kiss anyways, his forehead relaxing. They pulled apart, and looked back at Leo, Finn extending his hand. “Le, you coming?”

Leo nodded. “Just a sec, gonna put clothes on.”

Logan tilted his head, giving Leo’s body a once-over. “You don’t need clothes for breakfast. Mais tu es déjà magnifique.”

Leo blushed, but stood to go over to their dresser. “Yeah, but you know how I feel about my bare feet on the floors. I’ll be two minutes.”

Logan seemed to decide this was acceptable and grabbed Finn’s hand, walking out to the kitchen. Leo stood there for a minute staring at the drawers, listening to the coffee machine start up and Logan and Finn’s gentle conversation. He bit his bottom lip and rung his hands briefly, opening up his drawer and bypassing all the socks in the front, reaching back for a pair of blue wool socks Logan had bought him last winter from a wool shop in New York. They’d arrived in a package, along with a green pair, a red pair, and a note that had said, "Found these when I went out shopping with Alex. They’re handmade by a woman from Patagonia, she owns the shop. I know how much you love handmade things, and how your feet get cold in the winter. Je t’aime, mon couer." Leo had cried when he received them, in the middle of the hockey season in February, only having seen Logan for a few days over Christmas and New Year’s, and briefly during the All Star break. That was always the worst part of the season, the stretch of months in between holidays and summer, where they didn’t have many spare moments to visit one another. It never got any easier, even after managing it for a few years now. Missing Logan was a constant ache, a piece of him and Finn not very far, technically speaking, but not present all the same. Video calls, phone calls, and packages were all well and good, but it would never compare to the feeling of Logan waking up on his chest, of Finn’s arms reaching across to hold both of their bodies. Leo guessed he could only feel lucky to have such a loving, tender ache- not everybody got that. Sometimes he wanted to cup that feeling and pull it close to his chest, where he could guard it and keep it warm and light.

Unraveling the pair of socks, he let the black ring box tumble out into his hand. He opened the lid, taking out the two rings to examine them. Finn’s- rose-gold that would match his hair, the woman had said at the store- was engraved with stars around the band; Leo could still remember the rush he felt the first time he kissed Finn on the balcony, and looked up at the fake plastic stars that were somehow still stuck to their ceiling; a surprise from Finn a few years ago, about two weeks after they started dating. He had walked into the apartment to find Leo cooking at the stove, Logan standing behind him with his arms around Leo’s waist, and held up the bag with such a big smile that Leo had almost melted right then and there. They’d eaten and then spent probably far too long putting the stars up on the ceiling, Logan insisting that they try to accurately replicate the Leo constellation. That had been one of Leo’s free-fall moments, as he liked to call them: those moments where he knew he was already in love, even if it was far too early to say it yet.

Shaking himself out of his reverie, he looked back down at the rings, rubbing his thumb over Logan’s. The silver matched his necklace, the fleur-de-lis engravings reflecting his ties to the language he used to love them. In the quietest, most tender moments, even if Finn had no idea what he was saying, he always was gentle when he talked to them in French. Often, when Leo couldn’t sleep, they would both just talk to one another, quietly in the dark. In those tired moments, and in the most difficult ones, it was always harder for Logan to express how he was feeling in English, even though he had been speaking it consistently for years now. Leo cherished that trust, that vulnerability that Logan shared with him more than he could ever put into words, in either language. He would just respond to Logan likewise, kiss his hand, brush his hair back from his face, and get so lost in his deep green eyes he wondered how he would ever get back out- or if he would ever want to. The only shame in getting completely lost in Logan’s eyes would be the fact that, if he did that, he wouldn’t be able to look at Finn’s. He supposed having two pairs of eyes to get lost in forever wasn’t so bad.

They had plans to go out to dinner the following night, at the really nice vegetarian-vegan place Leo had discovered a few months back. Then he was going to take them back to the apartment, where he would make them strawberry shortcake and get down on one knee- and hopefully make them his forever. Not that they already weren’t, but Leo wanted the ceremony, the vows, he wanted his mama and his dad there- he wanted to kiss them and feel that adrenaline of a life-long promise, regardless of the presence of others, and he wanted to dance with them, and take them to bed after-

He inhaled sharply at the last image, his cheeks heating up as he stuffed the rings back in their box and into the socks, shoving them to the back of the drawer. He then pulled on some ankle socks and grabbed some workout clothes from the closet. Logan would probably pout about the fact that he couldn’t press kisses to Leo’s bare chest over breakfast, but Leo didn’t want them thinking he had spent all this time in here just putting on socks. As if on cue, he heard footsteps coming down the hallway and Finn’s tell-tale rhythmic rap of his knuckles on the doorframe. “Le? You alright?”

Leo turned and looked at him, lean body on display, a bit softer from the summer, but still strong. His hands- which Logan and Leo had both agreed that they could stare at forever- were clutching onto the doorframe, making the veins in his forearms strain slightly. Leo bit his lip and smiled, making Finn smile, which quickly turned to confused surprise as Leo rushed forward and gripped his face hard between his palms, kissing him soundly. Leo felt Finn relax and make a soft noise, arms slipping around his waist as he indulged in Leo’s mouth insistently.

“Hey!” came Logan’s voice. “Ce qui se passe? Am I missing something?”

Leo grinned as he pulled away from Finn, who still had a look of surprise on his face. “What-”

Leo just silenced him with another hard kiss and passed him on the way to the kitchen. Logan was sat at the stools by their counter, eyes narrowed playfully and hands clutched around his coffee mug. “Quoi?”

Leo approached him and wrapped Logan’s legs around his waist as Logan’s arms went around his neck. “Quoi? Tu veux des bisous?”

“Ouais, mais-”

Leo didn’t wait for him to finish, lifting Logan up from the seat from underneath his thighs, causing him to let out a laugh in surprise, which was quickly quieted by Leo’s mouth. Logan let out a groan, a little more wanting than Finn’s had been, and tangled his fingers in Leo’s hair indulgently as his legs tightened around Leo’s waist. Leo could feel that simmering fire, always present beneath Logan’s skin, making its way to the surface. He broke their kiss before it became too heady, their lips breaking apart with a light sound. Logan just looked at Leo, eyes flitting rapidly around his face before breaking out into a devilish smile, eyebrows raised.

“Jesus,” came Finn’s voice, a little breathless. “Jesus, Leo. Logan. You two drive me crazy.”

Leo just laughed, depositing Logan back into his chair and scooting around to the fridge to get out ingredients for breakfast. “Come on, y’all, the day awaits us.”

Finn scoffed at Leo’s teasing tone, but went to stand behind Logan with his arms draped over his shoulders, both of them watching Leo’s back as he moved around the kitchen. Leo just smiled to himself where they couldn’t see him, and went about whisking their eggs.

***

Sometimes, Logan would be with Finn and Leo and would wonder if he was actually living in a dream. He would just look at them, at Finn’s bright smile and capable hands that held him the way he liked, at Leo’s soft hair and gentle eyes that always seemed to understand him, and he’d just want to melt. Or fall at their feet, and worship them. Or shatter, overwhelmed by his love for them, their love for him, after so long of feeling like he would never be brave enough to love them the way they deserved. And they deserved everything. If he was dreaming, he decided, he would do everything in his power to stay asleep.

They had talked about getting married before, and their future in general, late at night. The past few years, it had mostly been over FaceTime, Logan feeling like he was oceans away from them in New York, even if it was only just three hours. Still, the hockey season kept them busy, and they clung hard to the few times during the season where they could see each other. More often than not, once or twice a month they found time to see each other for a brief thirty-six hour trip in either New York or Gryffindor, but that got hard in the late winter and spring, when the playoffs were approaching. Those months always, for some reason, sparked more and more conversations about their post-hockey life, about their future as a relationship, as a family. Maybe it was because they felt each other’s absence so distinctly in those moments, or maybe because they thought that, deep down, if they were married, if their relationship was somehow more ‘tied-down’ than it already was, then they could convince the league to not split them up- even though that was highly unlikely. They had pondered it, multiple times, sometimes with tears because it hurt so bad, to love so hard and not be near one another; most of the time though, it was with smiles, Finn describing the perfect garden he would build for Leo, and Leo fantasizing about the large kitchen he wanted and enough guest rooms so that ‘all the Tremblays could stay over at once, and the O’Hara’s and the Knut’s, too’. Logan, more often than not, imagined a dog bed and going to a rescue shelter to find one of those mutts Leo liked to pet in the street, and a swingset, and a big bedroom in a house in the quiet part of town, so Finn could go to bed early undisturbed and Leo maybe wouldn’t have as much trouble sleeping.

For all the times they had talked about getting married, there were only a few times that they had talked about it within the context of them playing on two different teams. Leo had broached the conversation one night, in Logan’s New York apartment, after a regular season game had gone into overtime. Logan thought Leo always looked so good on the ice, with his piercing blue eyes following Logan’s every move. He had felt Finn breathing down his neck a few times against the boards, and it took everything in him not to groan, throw his helmet off, and kiss Finn then and there, hockey be damned. Those games always got Logan’s adrenaline running harder than anything, and afterwards it was only a matter of time before he was ushering Leo and Finn out of Madison Square Garden, or out of the bar where they were with the Lions or the Rangers, and into his apartment, into his bed. Clothes were stripped off, sometimes fast and aggressive, sometimes slow and teasing if Leo and Finn had their way, but always with that gentle reverence, even in the rougher, more grounding touches that Logan loved so much. And with their skin warm against his, their voices in his ear, Finn’s smirk in his eyeline and Leo’s, frankly dangerous, mouth against his thighs, Logan was able to float away for a few hours, with nothing but them, his boys. And they were all his, there with him to overwhelm him and themselves with pleasure and love so blinding he knew, he knew he would forever be changed because he met them, because he loved them, because he got to keep them forever.

It was after one of those nights, when Logan’s desire had finally been satiated- admittedly long after Finn and Leo’s, who had had to resort to just their mouths and hands to finally satisfy him- that Leo had rolled himself over and tucked his face into Logan’s neck, his body heavy on top of Logan’s, peeking out at the both of him with his devastating blue eyes.

“I think I want to get married before we retire.”

Finn, who had been busy stroking up and down Logan’s chest, whose breathing was still heavy in the intensity of his afterglow, abruptly looked up at Leo. “What do you mean, sunshine?”

Leo didn’t answer right away. Logan and Leo were alike in that way, sometimes- in the heaviest moments, it always took them a moment to collect their thoughts. Leo was always more articulate and insightful than Logan was, though. Both Finn and Logan loved that about him, his ability to think so deeply about the most cherished parts of his life. Logan just pushed his nose into Leo’s golden curls, kissing him once, twice, and a third time, holding his lips there and closing his eyes briefly, then glancing at Finn with his mouth still in Leo’s hair. Finally, Leo took a deep breath.

“I just mean… I don’t want to wait for all of us to retire to get married.” He then whimpered slightly and looked away, nose pushing into Logan’s chest.

Finn looked slightly panicked at Leo’s abrupt distress, and climbed over to lay on his stomach beside him, tucking his chin over Leo’s shoulder. “Wow, hey, Le, it’s okay.” When Leo just let out a shaky breath, Finn shook him gently with an arm thrown over his waist. “Leo, Leo, baby, it’s okay. Don’t cry, it’s okay.” He took a deep breath. “I mean, you’re talking about us getting married, there’s nothing that would make me happier than that, quite frankly.”

Leo snorted a little bit at Finn’s humor, but his nose still sounded blocked up. He lifted his head, and Logan saw his eyes bright with tears, a few tracks running down his cheeks. Logan cupped his face tenderly, leaning down to touch their noses together. “Oh, mon soleil, qu'est-ce qui s’est passé?”

“No, nothing, it’s just… I mean, not nothing, I just…” Leo took a shaky breath, and Finn and Logan wrapped him up tighter. “I mean, I know that, Lo, you’re spoken for in New York for a while longer, and Finn and I are going to be in Gryffindor. And I know that even that could change, and I know that it’d be hard, but…” Leo paused, looking at the two of them carefully, so gently that Logan almost could feel himself drowning in him. “I want to marry you two. And I don’t want to wait for hockey to- to let us do that, you know? I don’t want it to be on the league’s terms, I want it to be on ours, and I want to marry you.” Logan held his breath at the last statement, and he thought Finn did, too, by the way in which his throat was bobbing slowly, mouth closed. “I want to marry you. And it’s not ‘just because’, or because it’s just ‘the next step’,” Leo continued, rolling his eyes slightly at himself. “I want to marry you because I want to make that promise to you both. You’re already mine in all the ways that are important, and that matter, but I want that- that unity that comes with the concept of marriage. And I also-” he paused, chewing his lip. “I want to take something that historically hasn’t been meant for us, and make it for us, you know?”

That last part made Logan freeze. Leo had always been much more open and involved in that way in the community than he and Finn had. It was important, for Leo, to always be thinking of the bigger picture. Over the years since they had come out, he had made every effort to take part in the NHL Pride nights, to try and encourage minority youth in hockey, to go and coach training camps and pay for gear to be provided in under-funded communities. Finn and Logan had, of course, gone with him, but it was Leo who had taken the initiative, who had come crying to them one night after a 12-year-old girl had asked him to sign a puck, telling him he was her favorite player, that she played goalie, too, that her and her older sister had painted her goalie pads rainbow colored after she came out to her family. So it made sense, that Leo, laying on them and crying about how much he wanted them, had a desire to challenge the institution of marriage in a very Leo way- with gentleness, with love. Logan sometimes didn’t know what to do with the way Leo carried himself with so much heart- Finn, too.

Finn bit his lip, a little tearful, but smiling. Suddenly, he raised himself onto his knees. “Sit up.”

Logan furrowed his eyebrows, and Leo lifted his face and stared, his mouth slightly ajar. “What?”

“You heard me,” Finn continued, grinning even wider now. It did pretty things to Finn’s freckles, when he smiled like that. “Uppity up, up you get, come sit across from me. Lo, you, too.”

“Finn, I-”

“Leonardonius, I swear, just trust me, and sit up.”

Logan and Leo complied, Leo sitting cross-legged, Logan with his legs sprawled, one draping over Finn’s, and leaning into Leo’s side.

Suddenly, Leo’s eyes widened. “Finn, are you-”

Finn waved his hand. “No, no I’m not proposing… yet.” He gave them each a pointed look. “I just didn’t want you crying over something that, frankly, does not deserve for you to be sad over.” He paused, leaning over to brush his thumbs under Leo’s eyes with a kiss to his nose. “Even though you still look very pretty when you cry.” That got Leo to smile, and his posture relaxed slightly, putting more of his weight on Logan.

Logan shuffled a bit, nudging Finn’s thigh gently with his foot. “Allez, rouge, what is it?”

Finn had a hand on each of them, his palms running up and down Logan’s calf and Leo’s knee. “I’ve thought a lot about us, recently. Getting married, that is.” He tilted his head, smiling at them. “I want us to get married, and I think that, if we want to do it before we all retire, I’d like that. I- I think that, like what Leo said… I want you in that way before we retire. And then after, or after at least one of us does retire…” He paused, sniffling slightly. This time, Leo leaned forward and brushed a thumb under his eye. “Maybe we get a house? And- and a tiny human? Or two? Or three, we could be matching. Three dads, three kids, ya know? And a dog, and maybe even chickens! I bet you’d love the fresh eggs, Le, and Lo, baby, you’d look so sexy raking leaves in our back yard, in overalls and plaid, like our very own lumberjack-”

Logan couldn’t take it anymore; he burst out laughing, leaning forward and tackling Finn onto the bed, kissing all over his face. Finn was laughing, too, arms and legs wrapped around him, and Logan felt a warm palm stroking up and down his back. Leo.

Logan scrambled up, forcing his way into Leo’s lap and kissing all over his face, too, until Finn dragged Leo’s face to his for a deep kiss of his own, ending in a burst of kisses to Leo’s cheek. They were all smiling so hard, those kinds of smiles that hurt their cheeks and scrunched Leo and Finn’s noses in the most adorable way. They were kissing each other, and smiling, and laughing, and Logan thought that if this was how happy they were when they just talked about proposing, and marriage, he couldn’t imagine how happy he would feel when it actually happened.

That had been March, three months ago, before the playoffs. Logan was almost thankful that they had each gotten knocked out in the second round, so as not to have to play one another, but mostly because Logan, perhaps selfishly, savored these long summers more than he could put into words. After all, he wanted to spend more than one night engaged to them before parting ways to go back to his New York apartment. He wanted to bask in that love for months before the season inevitably pulled them apart again. And he wanted to propose to them in their home. His apartment in the city was nice, sure, but it held nothing on what they had created in Gryffindor: the blanket Leo’s mom had made them slung over the sofa, Finn’s books stacked on every available table surface, Leo’s pan collection hanging in the kitchen, the herb garden by the window that Finn painstakingly took care of. Logan wanted to ask them to marry him where they fell in love, where he kissed Leo for the first time, where he and Finn began their middle-of-the-night whiskey tradition again, where he made love to them for the first time, all together, insatiable and high on how in love they were.

The late afternoon sun shone through slightly dusty, stained-glass windows as they were finishing up at the local book store, after having gone to their weights session and then spent the rest of the day wandering around the city. They had gone to the park, where Finn had sat up against a tree and let Logan lay his head in his lap, Leo sprawled beside him on a blanket, the both of them listening as Finn read to them from his and Leo’s latest novel. After finishing the last chapter, Leo had suggested they go to their favorite second-hand book store, which Finn had readily agreed with. Logan was just happy to follow them and listen to them bicker gently over plots, characters, thematic elements- it didn’t matter what they were talking about, really. Logan just loved to be surrounded by their voices.

Now, he listened and watched as the light from the stained glass casted a purplish hue on Leo’s golden hair, which captured and reflected the color so well. They both looked so good, Leo with a casual white short-sleeved button down and peach shorts, Logan’s fleur-de-lis against his strong, tan chest; Finn with a green long-sleeved shirt, open at the collar and made from some ultra-light, wicking material he had taken to recently, and denim shorts, which he had definitely had since college. Leo said something to Finn, which made him turn to Leo, that look of slightly surprised amusement on his face appearing like it always did when Leo said something snarky to someone. He was good at catching people off guard, his wit so sharp in contrast to his normally gentle and sweet disposition. It seemed he had caught Finn particularly by surprise this time, because it took Finn a second to process what he had said before bursting out laughing so hard he had to close his eyes. He turned his face into Leo’s neck, snorting, and pressed two hard kisses to his skin, one to his neck and one to his cheek. Leo turned his face so his nose brushed Finn’s ear, giggling in his ear. Logan felt like he could look at them forever, immortalized in this moment with their laughter and their smiles.

He looked down at himself for a brief moment, at the rust-colored shirt Finn had once told him looked good on him a few years ago, in New York, and at his black shorts Leo had once unzipped with his teeth, claiming that they ‘revealed way too much leg, sweetheart, it’s indecent’. Sometimes, Logan wondered how he even compared with their beauty; yes, he knew he was attractive by conventional standards, but beauty was more than that. He was a bit sullen, quiet and intimidating at first, and stared hard at everyone without realizing it. Finn and Leo were effortlessly beautiful in their mannerisms; Finn walked into a room with a smile so wide it drew people to him, Logan no exception, and there was no other way to describe Leo other than that the sun followed him. Or maybe he was the sun- he was certainly Logan’s. He couldn’t compete with that, would never be able to. It wasn’t so much an insecurity, per se, but more of an awe at the way that his boys carried themselves, how they carried him with them, how their beauty somehow included him in its sphere without singling him out. He existed simultaneously alongside it and within it, and at the center of it all was this infinite amount of love circulating him, drowning him, allowing him to exist in the same plane as them forever and ever. Logan at the same time was overwhelmed by it and knew exactly what to do to keep it close. They gave him their love and their beauty, and he in return gave them his, in his own way.

Logan hadn’t realized he had been spacing out staring at them until Leo’s face appeared in front of his, brow furrowed. “You okay, sweetheart?”

Logan shook his head briefly. “Ouais, mon couer.” He brought his hand up to Leo’s cheek, and Leo placed his hand over his. “Tu es si beau.”

That brought a blush to Leo’s cheeks, and he squeezed Logan’s hand and bent down to kiss the top of his head a bit bashfully. Logan reached a hand up to scratch his neck, holding him there for a moment. He then felt another presence at his side, an arm around each him and Leo. Finn.

“Hey, hey, there, baby. My baby, hi.”

Logan smiled at Finn’s rambling, at the kiss he pressed to Logan’s cheek. “Rouge.”

Finn’s body relaxed like it always did when Logan called him that, his head turning to rest right next to Leo’s on top of Logan’s. Leo still had his nose in Logan’s hair, all three of them still and embracing in the quiet, emptying book store.

Truth be told, Logan knew that they had all felt the shift since that conversation in Logan’s New York apartment. They held each other with a similar giddy, insatiable grip to the one they had when they first started dating. Now though, it was deeper, more developed, with stronger bones, and somehow more passionate than it had ever been. Logan had thought it had been because the season had finally ended and they were all together again, but now he realized it wasn’t just that. They sometimes loved so fiercely, yet so gently, that it was almost like whiplash. They were unsettled, but not in the way that would knock them off kilter. No, they were unsettled in the way that meant they were ready for more. They were aching for it, and Logan knew that he would have to do something about it.

Tomorrow, after they had dinner at the new vegetarian-vegan place that Leo loved, he would bring them back to the apartment, their favorite chocolate cake from the local restaurant down the street waiting in the fridge, maybe some wine- and Logan would get down on one knee and ask them to be his.

***

Leo was just finishing putting the finishing touches on their supper when he felt two hands grab at his hips. “You need any help finishing up here, baby?”

Leo turned and pressed a kiss to Finn’s head. “No, sweetheart, but thank you. Just finishing off the steak with some butter and herbs, and the roasted veggies are in the oven staying warm.” He shut off the stove and set the steak on the wooden steak board to rest. He stuck a thermometer in. Perfectly medium rare. He thought for a second, then turned around and draped his arms over Finn’s shoulders. Finn was in an old blue knit sweater of Leo’s, and he looked adorably soft in the cool summer night. “You and Lo set the table for me? There are some nice candles my mama sent us from the market, you could light them, if you wanted?”

Finn wiggled his eyebrows. “You trying to romance us, or something? Trying to take us to bed later?”

Leo snorted. “Something like that.” He jerked his head. “Go on, get Lo, he’s in our room getting a sweatshirt. I’ll just let the steak rest and bring it out.” He pressed a kiss to Finn’s mouth and turned back towards dinner, smiling to himself. God, he could hardly wait for tomorrow. But tonight, he wanted to enjoy this last night of them hanging on this precipice, basking in the anticipation of being engaged, even if neither of his boys knew.

***

Logan could hear both Finn and Leo talking in the kitchen from where he was in the bedroom, pulling Finn’s dark gray, almost black, crewneck sweatshirt over his head. Finn had just been in to grab Leo’s sweater, and had left smelling like a mixture of himself and Leo, combining and making Logan’s head feel dizzy. Now, he knew that he smelled like himself and Finn, and reached for Leo’s cologne on the dresser to spray a little on the neckline of the sweatshirt. Perfect.

As he set the bottle back down, his sock drawer caught his eye. Buried in the back, wrapped in one of his beanies, was the box with Leo and Finn’s rings. Unable to resist the temptation, he briefly glanced at the kitchen, seeing Finn walk up to put his hands on Leo’s hips, and opened the drawer. God, they were so gorgeous, and they’d look even more so with these rings on their fingers.

Logan opened the box, running his thumb briefly over both of them. Leo’s was pure gold, with a small blue sapphire, slightly deeper than his eyes, embedded in the band, soleil inscribed on the inside. Finn’s was a rose-gold- the lady at the shop said the particular shade would match his hair- and a dark champagne diamond- the lady said it would match his eyes. Rouge was inscripted on the inside of his. Logan peeked out at the kitchen again, and saw Finn, all cozy in Leo’s sweater, and Leo, now in Finn's old Harvard sweatshirt, with his blond curls, kissing each other so gently and smiling so lovingly. Logan ran his thumb over the rings one more time before they could catch him, looked down at them, and then closed the box as he heard Finn summon him to set the table.

***

Supper, Leo had to admit, had been a roaring success. He loved having time in the off season to finally cook how he wanted, to take his full time with recipes. He deserved it, the food deserved it, and his boys certainly did. Afterwards, his boys had batted his hands away as he tried to clear the table, and cleaned the kitchen with light-hearted chatter. Leo, a glass of red wine in front of him, was content to just watch and participate from the sidelines. Especially if it meant that one of his boys would lean over- Finn much more easily than Logan, no matter how much Logan grumbled that he was not that short- and kiss him on the forehead. Eventually, they finished up, Logan coming to sit beside Leo at one of the stools, Finn standing across the counter from them, both with a glass in their hands, looking delicate and breakable compared to their strong fingers.

Finn looked at him, taking a sip from his glass and peering out over the rim. “Thank you for dinner, nutter butter, it was delicious.”

Leo smiled, cheeks heating up like they did every time one of them complimented him so blatantly. “Thank you.”

Finn just smiled brighter, and reached across to pinch his cheek. “Aw, look at you, so rosy. You’re so pretty, peanut.”

Logan pressed up against Leo’s other side, placing a wet kiss on this cheek. “Ouais, mon soleil, tres mignon.” He looked across at Finn, reaching across to grab at his hand. “Et toi, mon rouge. Si beau.” Finn just took Logan’s hand and kissed it, gazing up through his eyelashes.

Leo watched in adoration, until suddenly Logan got a strange look on his face. It was nervous, sheepish, but he was also biting his lip in excitement. Leo saw Finn straighten up and squeeze Logan’s hand harder. “Lo?”

Logan stood up and tugged on Finn’s hand. “Viens ici.”

Finn came around the counter, allowing Logan to push him into the seat beside Leo. He took both of their hands, kissed each of them. Leo felt himself getting a little lightheaded, his breathing beginning to pick up.

Logan looked up at them, his eyelashes dark, his eyes wanting and his smile bashful. He squeezed each of their hands once more before stepping back. “Ouais, d’accord.” He felt around in the pockets on his dark shorts, taking something out into his hands… and sinking down on one knee.

Leo heard Finn gasp beside him, and his breathing was really picking up now. Finn’s thigh and shoulder were warm against him, and out of the corner of his eye he saw Finn bring a hand up to cover his mouth, a soft 'oh' escaping him. Leo leaned heavily into his side, but he couldn’t look away from Logan, who was smiling up at them and slowly opening a box, two rings nestled inside.

Logan took a deep breath before beginning. “Ouais, je… I had a whole speech prepared. I was going to do this tomorrow, after dinner, but you two just looked so beautiful just now, and I had to…” He huffed, obviously frustrated with the English. Leo caught his eye, and nodded, whispering a soft 'bon, continue'. Logan inhaled and exhaled with a shudder, before looking between them resolutely. Finn still hadn’t moved a muscle, really, but Leo could feel him shaking beside him as Logan continued. “I never thought I would have this, this overwhelming kind of love. Not because I didn’t think it was out there, but because I was too afraid to want it for myself.” He looked to Finn. “Rouge, you made me realize for the first time what it is to want someone so fully, so completely. I loved you the second I walked through that doorway my first day of college, and I have spent every moment since loving you and wanting you more than anything.” Tears were forming in his eyes as he smiled, gaining confidence as he spoke. “Je t’aime, mon rouge. I love you so much.” He turned those beautiful eyes to Leo, and Leo felt like he was going to fall off of his chair. “Mon soleil,” Logan said, his eyes going so soft, his head tilting. Leo, in his periphery, saw Finn turn to look at him, too. “You taught me how to be brave. You’re braver than anyone I think I have ever known. You showed me how to want, how to love anyway while still being scared, and how I can be scared and brave at the same time.” He looked back to Finn briefly, eyes darting between them. “I don’t- I don’t think I ever would have been brave enough to love, without you, soleil… to love anyone they way that I want.” He bit his lip. “Je t’aime, mon soleil. I love you, and I want you.”

Leo didn’t know what to do with himself, and he felt Finn grab his hand as he closed his eyes and let a few tears escape. It was release, relief, and love so profound that he was overflowing. He opened his eyes at Finn’s squeeze of his hand, looking at him. Finn leaned over, pressing a kiss to his forehead, and then they both turned to look at Logan with their temples touching. Logan was smiling up at them, then looked down at the rings.

“Je veux passer le reste de ma vie avec vous deux. I… I want to spend the rest of my life loving you, deserving you, and caring for you. And I want to love you in the next life, and the next, and every one after it. I don’t ever want to stop loving you, and I hope you want the same. Et alors, s'il vous plaît…” At this, Logan looked up from the ring box, into their eyes. They were both frozen under his gaze. “...épousez-moi, mes amours?”

Finn took a shuddering breath in, a whimper escaping him as tears escaped from his eyes. And Leo…

Leo looked at Logan, down on one knee, jumping the gun because he couldn’t wait for tomorrow, when Leo was also going to propose. And Leo was so overwhelmed by this, how preposterous and silly and so them this whole situation was, that he let out at breathless laugh.

Logan, still smiling, looked at him, brows furrowed. “Soleil?”

Leo laughed again. “Wait here.”

And he stood up and walked out of the room.

***

Logan watched as Leo stepped into their bedroom, still on one knee, as confused as he had ever been. His brow furrowed, his breathing harsh. He had been so sure that Leo would want this. After all, Leo had been the one to suggest getting married before they retired. He wouldn’t say no, surely. Right?

Finn’s harsh breathing snapped Logan out of his reverie. Normally so talkative, Finn was rendered speechless, his fingers resting lightly over his mouth, face flushed with his tears, eyes wide with… panic? Nerves? Logan didn’t know, but he looked like he would fall over and faint.

“Rouge…”

“Lo,” Finn responded, breathless and soft, hand coming rest at his collarbone. “I- do you…?” He looked frantically at their bedroom before looking back at Logan.

Logan shook his head. “Rouge, no, I- I don’t-” He breathed in harshly, a soft noise escaping him as he turned to look at the door to their bedroom, voice tight. “Soleil?”

“Ouais, yeah, sorry. I’m coming.” Leo sounded a bit breathless, and a bit… giddy?

Logan was so confused.

After another few moments, Leo came through the door, and came to stand over them. He looked so tall from the floor, Logan thought, so beautiful, like an angel. But he was shaking, red-cheeked and smiling, blue eyes shining and a bit mischievous. Both Logan and Finn looked at him, bewildered, until he opened his palm to reveal a box in the center, and opened it with his thumb.

Finn made a slight yelping sound, slapping his hand hard over his mouth. Logan’s breath caught in his throat, vision going a bit fuzzy as Leo reached down and gently pulled him up by the hand. Logan let himself by guided by Leo’s warm palm into the seat beside Finn, their positions now swapped. Leo kissed his cheek, then Finn’s… and then sank on one knee in front of them. Unlike Logan, who had taken a moment to collect his thoughts, Leo just started talking, happy and energized and so in love.

“I was also going to do this tomorrow, after dinner,” he started, with a wink at Logan. “I was going to take you out to dinner and bring you back and make strawberry shortcake…” Logan heard himself and Finn each let out tearful chuckles. “...but then you sank down on one knee, Lo, and I just thought… this is so ridiculous. This is so silly, and out of order, and so us that it’s perfect, and I wouldn’t have either of you any other way.” He turned to Finn first, who was shaking so hard against Logan’s side. “Finn, sweetheart, I… I remember the first night you kissed me so vividly. Your gentle eyes and hands and words, always trying so hard to give your all to me, to Logan, even if it was hard. Even if it hurt. And you gave yourself to me so fully, and have continued to do so every day, and I love you. There’s nothing else to say other than I love you. And Logan…” He shifted his gaze, and Logan could do nothing but stare helplessly back into his baby blues. “Oh, Logan, honey, I wanted you so desperately I didn’t know what to do with myself. You burn, for yourself, but especially for us. And you were burning for me, and for Finn, and when you finally let yourself have us, I… I was so warm, sweetheart. You make me feel so warm, and I love you. I love you, I love you both so much.” Leo took a deep breath and settled his shoulders. “I told you I knew you were mine in all the ways that mattered, that you are, but that I want to marry you because I want that unity. And while that’s true, more than anything I just want to marry you because you're home. You’ve been home now, for so long now, and I want a marriage with you to be part of the foundation of that home. I know marriage is sometimes silly, and arbitrary, and- and a piece of paper…” Leo rolled his eyes at himself as he started to cry. “I just- I want it with you anyways. I want to write you vows, I want our families there, I want to show our world how much I love you, how devoted I am to you. I want that official promise because I believe you deserve it, and I want you to have all that you deserve.” He looked down at the rings, up at them, and smiled, crinkling his adorable nose in a way that made Logan’s heart skip a beat in his chest. “I love you, and I want you forever. Marry me. Will you marry me?”

Logan didn’t know what to expect, and he knew Leo didn’t either, from the way he was now holding himself slightly stiffly, but they didn’t expect Finn to outburst with a high-pitch, dramatic sob. “Oh my God!” He fanned his face, then pressed both of his hands over his face, fingertips meeting at the bridge of his nose. “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!”

Immediately, Leo and Logan burst out laughing. It bubbled out of Logan’s chest, taking him by surprise as he gently knelt on the floor in front of Leo. The floor shook as Finn fell down clumsily beside them, causing them to laugh harder. Logan looked at Leo, pressing his fingers to Leo’s wrist where he was still clutching the opened ring box. “Oh, soleil…”

“Marry me,” Leo repeated, looking between the two of them. Finn’s eyes were moving back and forth, from their faces to the ring boxes they were still clutching.

Logan looked up at Leo, biting his lip. “I asked you first.”

That had Leo laughing a tearful laugh, shaking his whole body. Logan looked at him in the eyes, holding his gaze.

“Veux-tu m’epouser, mon soleil?” He turned to Finn. “Et toi, mon rouge? Marry me, Fish.”

“Oh Jesus,” Finn said, before he was lurching forward and pulling Logan into a kiss. “Yes, oh God, baby, yes.” Finn kissed him sloppily, indulgently, before eventually letting them part.

Logan turned back to Leo, Finn’s hand still at his neck. Leo was nodding, biting his lips in that devastating way. “Oui, sweetheart. Yes.”

Logan heard Finn’s breath hitch as he and Leo leaned in to kiss each other, smiling too much to make it last long. Logan pressed a series of kisses to Leo’s flushed cheeks, then leaned back and took the rings out of the box. Shaking, he put them on each of their fingers, kissing their hands after each one. Leo let out a breath. “Oh, Lo, it’s beautiful.”

Finn, still crying too much for complete sentences, just let out a tearful 'baby' and clutched his hand to his chest, leaning over and pressing his forehead to Logan’s with a groan. After a moment, Logan felt a nudge at his other side. He turned to find Leo still on one knee, holding the ring box out for him.

“Your turn, Lo,” Leo said gently. He grinned, then looked to Finn. “And your turn again, I guess.”

Finn let out a choked sob again, and Leo and Logan looked at him and laughed. “Oh my God, oh my God, this is really happening.”

Leo shook his head. “You’ll be fine honey.” He held the box more insistently out to them. “Marry me.”

Logan smiled so hard he shook with it. “Ouais, soleil. Ouais.”

Leo leaned in and kissed him hard. Logan had a flashback to the first time he had kissed Leo in public, right in New York City, ‘first kiss day’, as Finn had called it. Leo, normally so gentle with them, gripping him and holding so tightly that he felt wound up and gooey all at once.

They broke apart after a moment, and Leo took Logan’s ring out of the box, showing him the engraving on the inside before slipping it on his finger. Logan admired it on his finger for a moment before his attention was diverted by another sound from Finn. “Oh, mon rouge,” he laughed.

“Sorry, sorry, I’m just- I’m getting proposed to twice today, it’s a lot, okay?” He looked at Leo, who was looking at him with his eyebrows raised in amusement and still holding out Finn’s ring to him. That seemed to sober Finn up, and he whimpered. “Oh. Oh Leo-”

Leo softened. “Oh, honey, c’mere.”

Leo leaned in, kissing Finn softly on the lips, thumbs tracing under his eyes where the tear tracks were. He parted after a few moments and took Finn’s hand to slip his second ring on him.

Leo chuckled. “Well, look at you. Collecting them all.”

Finn wiped under his eyes. “Oh God, I’m going to have to put them on a necklace or something. I don’t know if they’ll all eventually fit, with my-” His eyes widened briefly, before he started crying again. “Oh, my wedding ring, oh God!”

Leo shushed him gently, pulling him under his arm and kissing his forehead. He opened his other arm for Logan to tuck himself under. Logan went willingly, one arm around Finn and Leo each, clutching them close. Finn was still shaking with his happy tears, although now they were a bit quieter than before.

Suddenly, Finn looked up. “I for sure thought I was going to propose first. I was going to go to the jeweler next week.”

Logan shrugged. “We beat you, Fish.”

“Twice,” Leo added, jostling them both lightly.

“Hm,” Finn sighed, leaning his head heavily onto Leo’s chest and running his hand up and down Logan’s side. “I love you. I can’t wait to marry you.”

Logan felt himself shiver in excitement. “Moi aussi, mon couer.”

“Yeah,” Leo said softly. “Gonna marry you forever.”

That set Finn off again. “Peanut, you can’t just say that!”

“I really didn’t think you’d react like this, sweetheart, I’m sorry.”

“I was not planning on getting proposed to twice in one evening!”

Logan rolled his eyes playfully. “Oh, mon rouge.” He looked up at Leo. “Hey, Knut?”

Leo looked down at him, eyebrows raised. “Uh oh. What’s with the last name?”

Logan just bit his lip, glancing at him, then at Finn, who was suddenly rapt with attention and sitting up straighter. “O’Hara.”

“Oh God,” Finn whispered.

Logan bit at Leo's chest through his shirt, and widened his eyes in a way he knew drove them crazy. “Can I be in trouble?”

Finn groaned and Leo looked down at him, eyes darkening and Logan smiled mischievously. Beside them, Finn cursed. “Fucking gorgeous, both of you. Gonna be in trouble for the rest of our lives.”

That got Leo alert, and he scrambled up, dragging them both with him. Logan laughed as he was ushered into their bedroom and thrown gently on their bedspread. They climbed after him, Finn immediately attacking his mouth, and Leo working a bruise into his neck. Finn pulled back, then looked down at Leo, amused. “Careful there, Knut, or you'll be in trouble, too.”

Leo laughed, blue eyes shining and a singular dimple appearing, before leaning over and kissing Finn as well. As he watched them, with their smiles, and their mouths on him and each other, Logan thought that there, in that moment, he was the most in love he had ever been.

***

Finn awoke the next morning to the sound of rain outside of the window, the room cooler than normal due to a drop in temperature. He breathed in heavily and ran a hand over his face, stopping when he felt cool metal brush his nose. Oh. Oh man.

He jerked his hand away, staring at the two rings, identical in color but unique in embellishments, that his boys had slipped on his fingers the night before. He almost got all worked up again, still riding the absolute rollercoaster of emotions of being proposed to not once, but twice in the same night. He hadn't been kidding when he told them it had been a lot: Logan, who at one point he never thought he'd have, kneeling before him and asking to be his forever; Leo, who showed up out of the blue and somehow made everything better, lighter, so brave, just like Logan had said, jumping when he was scared and simultaneously landing in their arms and catching them in his.

Finn didn't know how he'd got so lucky, squinting across the pillow at Logan and Leo, the latter of which was spooning Logan with an arm around his middle. Logan had one hand on Leo, the other on Finn's bicep, their legs tangled together. Last night had been rolling pleasure, weighed down with so much love that Finn didn't want it to end. They didn't, really, until they physically couldn't anymore. And even then they'd stayed up so long just kissing, evidence of which lingering on all of their necks. Finn reached out and touched a bruise on Logan's neck, making him stir and open his eyes. Leo, perhaps sensing the change in Logan's breathing, also shifted, lifting his head to look at Finn over Logan's back. Finn just stared for a few seconds, until Logan reached the hand with his engagement ring on it out to cup his jaw, Leo tracking the movement with his beautiful eyes.

“Rouge, ici.”

“Yeah, sweetheart, come here.”

And so Finn went, pressing his nose into Logan's neck, hand reaching across to grip Leo's torso. He kissed Logan's chest, took Leo's hand from around Logan's waist and kissed that, too, and heard Leo press a kiss to the back of Logan's neck. This, Finn decided, was more valuable than anything else in the world. His boys, in their bed, in the home they created, living the life they shared, with a promise to continue to do so for eternity.

Finn, for one, couldn't think of a happier ending, and so closed his eyes to be lulled back to sleep by the sound of their breathing.

“Leo, Leo, come on!”

Leo smiled up at Katie, who was waiting for him patiently on the stairway leading up to the second floor bedrooms. “I’m coming, hun.” He turned to Finn, dressed up as a very handsome prince, if he did say so himself, and gave him a kiss on the nose. “Be right back.”

“‘Kay,” Finn said, patting his hip. “Tell Katie thanks a lot for stealing my sunshine from me and forcing him to do matching costumes with her this year.”

“It’s not just with me, it’s with Layla, too,” Leo laughed, kissing him again. “I love you.”

Finn brushed his blonde hair out of his eyes. “Love you.” He gave Leo’s butt a hard tap. “Go get changed.”

Leo sent him a wink over his shoulder and followed Katie up to her bedroom, where Layla was also waiting. Finn watched him for a moment before he felt a hand come around his waist. “Salut.”

He smiled widely. “Hey.” He turned to face Logan, cupping his face excitedly and pressing kisses to his lips. “How’s my sexy knight?”

Logan laughed against his mouth. “Good.”

Finn made another happy sound and kissed Logan’s cheek. “Thank you for driving up, baby. Sorry it’s not a long visit.”

“Non, it’s okay, I like the Halloween parties.” He rested his forehead against Finn’s shoulder and looked up the stairway. “Like it better when we can all match.”

“Right?” Finn tugged on the cape of Logan’s costume to bring their bodies closer. “Silly Katie stealing our sunshine.” He raised his eyebrows teasingly. “If anything, I would have thought she would steal you from us, not Leo.”

Logan pouted. “Me, too.”

Finn kissed him again with a smile. “C’mon. We have to mingle and stuff while we wait for Le or else we’re just gonna be sad and standing here.”

“But he’s so far.”

Finn just smiled against Logan’s temple and guided him into the kitchen.

An eternity later, but what was really probably only twenty minutes, there were footfalls coming down the staircase. Finn had his arms around Logan’s shoulders, laughing and talking with Thomas and Cole, when Cole suddenly stopped trailed off. His eyes widened. “Holy shit.”

Thomas nudged him playfully and made an oo sound.

Cole just shoved him back. “Shut up.” But he was smiling as he made his way towards Layla. “You look gorgeous,” he said, hands coming down to cup her waist. She did look pretty stunning, Finn thought, in her pirate get-up.

“Thank you,” she said with a proud smile. “Just wait until you see Leo and Katie.”

Finn felt Logan perk up against his chest, his hands coming up to grip Finn’s forearms excitedly. Finn bent down to whisper by his ear. “Calm down.”

“I’m excited.”

“Me, too, just- breathe for a second, baby, you’re getting all worked up.”

Logan flashed dark eyes at him. “What if I want to?”

Finn just rolled his eyes playfully and kissed his cheek. When he pulled away, he was met with crystal blue eyes that were-

“Whoa,” Finn said, a little breathless. “Huh.”

Leo smiled, then turned down to look at Katie. “You think they like our costumes?”

She nodded assuredly. “Yep! I’m gonna go show maman.” Then she was bouncing off her toes and stealing Layla from Cole, presumably going to look for Celeste. The extra fabric of her bandana flapped behind her as she ran to the living room.

Leo turned back to Finn and Logan, spinning around with his hands splayed out. “So? What do you think? Layla sewed some of this, can you believe that?”

But Finn wasn’t paying attention to the clothes, though they did look nice. He instead straightened, Logan shifting to press against just his side, and reached out to rub a thumb under Leo’s eye. “Huh,” he said again. “What…?”

Leo blushed. “Katie insisted. She wanted my eyes to look like Jack Sparrow’s, but Layla took a little more creative freedom than that. Said silver would look good with the blue.”

“She was right.” Finn leaned in a little to look closer at the silver around Leo’s eyes. It made his blue irises look piercing. He could feel heat working its way down his lower back. “Jesus.”

Leo bit his lip in amusement. “Your ears are red.” He looked at Logan and laughed, reaching out to brush the back of his fingers over his cheeks. “Oh, honey.”

Finn looked down at Logan, too, who was partially hiding his face in Finn’s shoulder, green eyes dark and wanting, a flush blooming on the high of his cheeks. The look he was giving Leo was so devastating that Finn had to have a serious mental talk with his body.

“Si beau,” Logan whispered. He reached a hand out and Leo came willingly, allowing Logan, too, to press his thumb to the delicate skin under his eye. Logan let out a groan. “Soleil.”

“You’re okay,” Leo whispered, leaning down to kiss Logan softly. “All okay, sweetheart.”

“Non, je t’aime, let’s go, let’s leave.”

Leo barked out a laugh, straightening. “Absolutely not. I did not get all dressed up for a party to then immediately leave. I haven’t even had a drink yet.”

“Sunshine, I’ll buy you any drink you want if we leave right now,” Finn said. “In fact, I’ll literally lick it off your body, or you can lick it off mine, or Logan’s, I just- come on.”

Leo looked amused at Finn’s tone, which had become a little high at the end of his ramble. “Baby,” he said lowly, which was not helping Finn nor Logan whatsoever. He held up two fingers with a mischievous grin. “Two hours. Long enough to be polite, late enough to justify leaving, and early enough to go back home and have hot sex for as long as you want.”

Both Finn and Logan took a sharp breath in at Leo’s forwardness. Logan’s hands were busy fiddling with Leo’s costume. “Soleil.”

Leo just winked, kissed them both, and turned towards the living room. “I am going to find my other pirates. I love you.” Then he and his crystal clear blue eyes were walking away and leaving Finn and Logan desperate in the entryway.

Logan groaned, bumping his head against Finn’s shoulder. “Oh no.”

“I agree, oh no.” Finn wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “Oh, we are so done for.”

“Ouais. He looks so fucking good, I can’t-” Logan cut himself off with another groan and looked up at Finn pleadingly. “Finn.”

Finn ran a hand over his own face. “Okay,” he said. “Okay, game plan.” He counted off on his fingers. “We set a timer, two hours exactly. No later. We make nice and polite chit-chat with all of our friends that we love very dearly to distract ourselves.” He pressed their foreheads together and lowered his voice. “Then when the timer goes off on my watch, we get Leo, drag him and his sexy blue eyes out of here, and I reasonably break the speed limit to get us in bed and get him naked as fast as possible.”

“Not completely naked,” Logan said with a smile. “Not with that eyeliner.”

“Oh, for sure, not completely naked. That stuff is staying on, and I am asking Layla where she got it.”

Logan laughed, then kissed Finn slowly. “D’accord. D’accord, let’s do this.” He let out a heavy sigh. “This will be the longest two hours of our lives.”

“Oh for sure,” Finn agreed, pulling back to fiddle with his watch. “And the timer starts… now.” He straightened and held out his hand for Logan to take. “Now, my knight in shining armor, please escort me to the kitchen. Those ribs smell delicious, and we need lots of sustenance for tonight.” He craned his head and caught sight of golden curls. “And I see our pirate bombshell in there waiting for us. We might not leave for two hours, but that doesn’t mean we’re staying far away from him the whole time. Gotta have our eyes on the prize.”

“Ouais,” Logan said with one of his secret little smiles. He squeezed Finn’s fingers. “Allez, mon prince, let’s get you some sustenance.”

And with a tug of his hand, Finn followed Logan into the kitchen and to the warmth of their sunshine.

Hi! I just lost my 13yo dog and been so down, but trying to think about all the amazing times we went through. Made me wonder about the cubs adopting a rescue dog, or even better, Logan maybe gifting Leo said dog, or something like it, dont know, just wanted something very lovely and cute. Thanks

Hi friend,

I am so so so sorry for your loss. Dogs love unconditionally like nobody else can, and I imagine it must be so hard right now. However, they are some of the greatest gifts life has to offer, even if their time on Earth is much more limited than ours. They bring so much joy and happiness, and I hope you can find that in the memories you carry of your sweet baby. <3

Have some sunshine being a sweet dog-whisperer and Logan and Finn wanting to surprise the very best husband they could ever ask for.

Sending lots of love your way!!

Logan laced his fingers through Leo’s as they walked along the path through the park, stepping aside every now and then to let bikers and runners pass by. Leo’s skin was tan from the summer sun and matched beautifully with the gold rings on his fingers. Logan brought his hand to his mouth and kissed it, then turned to look up at him. They were discussing where they wanted to go for dinner. “What do you want to do tonight, soleil?”

Leo shrugged. “Don’t know. Could ask Finn, he was talking about this new place that opened up in the center of the city. Or we could go to that café we like for an early dinner, then go for a walk by the water. It’s a nice day.”

“Mm,” Logan hummed distractedly. He stopped abruptly and bent down. When he stood to give Leo the flower he picked, small and yellow, he smiled. “Allez. For you.”

Leo smiled back. “Thanks, honey.” He kissed Logan’s forehead. “I love it.”

Logan was leaning up for another kiss when he felt something cold sniff his ankle. He pulled away and looked down. “Quoi?”

The dog had moved on to Leo now. It was medium sized, with long, triangle ears and a boxy face. It’s entire body wiggled as it looked up at Leo and stuck its tongue out in a smile.

“Sassy!” a woman said. She gave the dog a tug by its leash and smiled sheepishly. “Sorry, sorry, she’s not leash trained quite yet.”

“That’s alright,” Leo said. He looked up at her. “Can I pet her?”

“Yeah, yeah, of course.”

Leo grinned and bent a bit to let Sassy sniff his hand, and when she licked it, he crouched fully to scratch behind her ears. He laughed when she made a content little grunting sound. “You’re so pretty! Look at you, baby.”

Logan smiled fondly then looked up at the woman. “What breed is she?”

She shrugged. “We’re not entirely sure. We think a pitbull-coonhound mix. I’m not her owner, I’m just taking her for a walk. I volunteer at Gryffindor Shelter on Lavelle Street.”

Logan tilted his head. “So she’s not adopted?”

“No. A group of us take the dogs for walks every week so they get used to it. Helps to socialize them a bit.”

“That’s awesome,” Leo chided in. Sassy now had her paws on his bent knees and was wiggling happily as he continued to scratch her ears. “You’re a very sweet girl.”

Logan took in Leo’s smile and bright blue eyes. They had talked about getting a dog before, in theory. Leo always joked that Finn basically was their dog and that they needed to run him, but Logan knew he wanted the real thing. He loved whenever the Lions did charity work or photoshoots with rescue dogs. Finn and Logan had shared knowing glances many times over the years as they watched every single dog, old and young, big and small, fall in love with Leo the second they met him.

Suddenly, there was a warm body behind him and a wet, slightly sweaty, kiss was pressed to his cheek. “‘Sup, hubs.”

Logan turned and caught Finn’s eye. “Salut. Good run?”

Finn nodded eagerly, bouncing on his toes. “Oo-ways. Two more miles left.” He noticed Leo on the ground and the women holding the leash and smiled. “Hi! Who’s this?”

The woman smiled. “This is Sassy. She’s at Gryffindor Shelter, I’m breaking her out of jail for the day.”

Finn crouched down and held out his hand. “Aren’t you a sweet little girl!” He laughed when she came to lick his wrist, then Logan’s ankle, before going straight back to seek attention from Leo. “Damn, okay, I see how it is.”

The lady winked at him. “Seems she found a friend.”

“Looks like. She’s very pretty.”

The woman nodded. “She is.” She checked her watch briefly, then tugged on the leash. “Let’s go, Sassy girl, gotta get you back.” She looked up at the three of them. “Nice to meet you…?”

“I’m Finn,” Finn said. “And this is Logan and Leo.” He gestured accordingly with a tilt of his head. “And you?”

“Melanie.”

Finn turned on one of his signature grins. “Well, Melanie, thanks for sharing Sassy with us. And taking her for walkies, I’m sure the shelter must be boring for her.”

Melanie smiled. “My pleasure.” She gave the leash another tug. “Let’s go, Sass!”

Sassy let out a whining sound before resisting just enough to give Leo’s forearm another lick and receive one last scratch before she was being led away down the path. Leo watched her go with a small smile on his face for a moment. Just enough time, really, for Finn and Logan to share a meaningful look. Logan grinned and turned to Leo, holding out his hand. “Ici, soleil, let’s finish our walk.”

Leo let out a sigh. “Okay.” He took Logan’s hand and stood. “She was really cute.”

“She was, baby,” Finn agreed, kissing his cheek. “I’ll meet you at the fountain in a few, okay? Love you.”

Leo nodded. “Love you.”

Finn jogged backwards for a moment, making a heart with his hands, before winking and turning to run ahead. Logan stood on his toes and kissed Leo on the cheek. “You look very pretty in the sun.”

Leo rolled his eyes good naturedly, but he turned his face to brush their noses together. He still had the yellow flower between his fingers. “I love you.”

“Je t’aime.” Logan kissed him on the mouth, then squeezed his hand. “Allez, or our oversized puppy will get impatient waiting for us at the fountain.”

Leo laughed and let Logan pull him along the path.

Two weeks later

It took a lot of planning, and insisting Leo go out with Regulus one day while they had a secret house inspection, but Logan had done it. Well, really, he and Finn had done it, but he liked to credit himself for the idea, at least. They had told Leo they were going out to get fertilizer for his herb garden, which they did actually do- the store just so happened to have all necessary dog accessories, and was a three minute drive from Gryffindor Shelter on Lavelle Street.

“Are you excited, Sassy girl?” Finn cooed from the front seat as he parked. He turned to scratch her behind the ears, and patted Logan, who was sitting in the back with her, on the head. “Your daddy’s gonna be so happy!”

She let out a whine and a short bark, her entire body vibrating with energy. Logan clipped the leash they had got her around her collar and gingerly opened the door. “Allez, ma petite, careful.”

Sassy paid him no mind and leapt out of the car after him, nose in the air and twitching like a bunny’s with soft huffs. Finn chirped the car and went to open the door leading from the garage to the lower lobby and the elevator.

“Wanna bring the other stuff up later?”

“Ouais,” Logan said, gripping tightly to the leash as Sassy pulled in her excitement. “I want Le to see her first.”

Finn made a happy sound in the back of his throat. “I can’t wait, he’s gonna be so excited.” He turned to look at Logan as they stepped through the elevator door and kissed him. “You’re a good husband.”

Logan smiled against his mouth. “Toi aussi, mon rouge.” He bent to rub Sassy’s side. “She’s very happy.”

“Wiggly little thing, huh?” Finn crouched to give her a kiss on the forehead, which just made her wag her tail even harder. “Gonna have to take you on runs to get your energy out. Yes I am!”

Logan ran a hand fondly through Finn’s hair just as the elevator door opened. Sassy immediately dragged Logan out, nose to the ground as she scurried her way down the hallway. Finn laughed and went to unlock the door. “Hold her here for a second, ‘kay?”

“D’accord,” Logan replied, crouching to hold Sassy around her chest.

Finn touched Logan’s cheek, winked, then pushed the door open. “Sunshine! We’re home.”

“Hi, honey,” Logan heard Leo say. There was the sound of a brief kiss. “Where’s Lo?”

Logan could imagine Finn’s mischievous smile. “We’ve got a surprise for you.”

“What?”

“Lo, let her in!”

Logan stood and held onto Sassy’s leash and guided her into the apartment. Leo looked briefly confused, but his entire face changed when he saw her, breaking into a wide smile. Those bright eyes flashed to Logan’s face. “No.”

Logan nodded, a warm feeling working its way up his chest. “Ouais.”

Sassy whined, entire body vibrating, before Logan let her go. Leo crouched and she launched herself right into his lap, happy, high-pitched noises escaping her. Her paws were dancing on Leo’s legs as he cupped her face and scratched her ears. He was laughing and cooing at her. Logan and Finn and Logan shared a fond look.

“Hi, baby, hi!” Leo was saying. “Oh, you’re so beautiful.” He looked up at Finn and Logan, both dimples on full display. “She’s ours?”

The look Finn gave him was so in love Logan felt his heart speed up. “Yeah, sunshine. She’s ours.”

Leo laughed again and buried his face in Sassy’s neck. She had both of her paws on his shoulders and was sniffing by his ear. She had calmed down a bit, comforted by the warmth of Leo’s body. Logan could relate.

“Thank you,” Leo said softly. He tilted his chin up. “C’mere.”

Finn sat by his side and Logan kneeled in front of him. Leo leaned in to kiss them both softly, a hand supporting Sassy on her back. Finn wrapped one arm around Leo’s waist and Logan scratched Sassy’s side just beside Leo’s hand.

“She will need some training,” Logan said. He moved his hand up and flitted his fingers over Leo’s curls. He leaned into the touch. “But she needed a home, and she loves you, Le.”

“She’s perfect,” Finn said wistfully, head now on Leo’s shoulder. He reached out to rub Sassy’s ear between his thumb and forefinger. “Her ears are so soft.”

“Mm, like- how do you say it, soleil? Le velours?”

Leo smiled and peeked out at him. “Velvet. Yeah, they are.”

Sassy was wiggling again, excited and eager with all the hands petting her, and let out a happy little growling sound. Logan barked out a laugh. “Rouge, she sounds like you.”

Finn mimicked her happy growling sound and reached out with both hands to scratch behind her ears. She opened her mouth in a smile and talked back to him again. “Just like your dad, baby, did you hear that?”

Leo kissed her on the side of her head. “Okay, c’mon, baby girl, let’s show you the house.” He coaxed her off his lap and took her leash, leading her through the kitchen. “This is where all the yummy snacks are made. I’ll have to find some dog friendly recipes for you, sweetheart.” They continued on. “And this is the couch, it’s great for naps. I’ll make sure to get you a blanket.”

Leo continued chattering to her as he showed her the bedrooms and the hallway. Her nose was moving rapidly, the sounds of her sniffing making Logan let out an amused breath. He settled back on his heels as Finn came to sit beside him. He wrapped his arms around his shoulders and kissed his red waves. “Good surprise.”

“Good surprise,” Finn agreed. “He’s so happy. They both are.”

Logan hummed into Finn’s hair and breathed out a laugh as Leo’s voice continued to carry through their apartment, followed by a bark from Sassy. “I think we married a Disney character.”

“Oh, we definitely did. We could put him in the forest and he’d be friends with all the animals in an hour, probably.”

Logan smiled into Finn’s hair. “You’re so weird. I love you.”

Finn tilted his head and kissed him. “I love you, too.”

They turned to look as Leo walked back into the entryway with Sassy, who was now free from her leash. She saw them and trotted her way over, entire body wiggling, and nudged their hands. They both smiled and complied, scratching her side and ears. Leo stood over them, leash in one hand, his smile bright. Logan couldn’t tear his eyes away.

“Is her stuff in the car?” Leo asked. At the sound of his voice, Sassy turned around and went over to him again. He squatted to pet her.

“Yeah, but we’ll get it, baby,” Finn said. He stood, then held out a hand for Logan. “You relax.”

“You sure? I can help-”

“Non.” Logan bent and cupped his face to kiss him quickly. “Stay here, mon coeur. We’ll be back.”

Later that evening, after the three of them had taken Sassy for a long walk around her new neighborhood, Finn and Logan arrived from picking up their Thai take out for dinner to find Leo fast asleep on his back on the couch. Sassy was a heavy weight on his chest, limbs splayed out as she softly snored. One of her ears was flipped inside-out. Leo’s arms were wrapped gently around her to keep her from falling.

Finn sneakily took a photo. “New lockscreen.”

Logan rested his chin on his shoulder. “Send it to me, please?”

“Already done, baby.” He kissed the side of Logan’s head. “They’re so cute.”

Logan bent to kneel beside the couch and kissed Leo’s forehead, brushing his hair back. “Mon amour. Mon mari. Dinner.”

Leo took a deep breath in and blinked slowly. He smiled sleepily. “Hi.” His arms tightened around Sassy. She let out a content sound and opened her eyes, too. “Sorry, we were just taking a nap.”

Logan shook his head. “Non, don’t be sorry.” He nudged their noses together. “You were very cute.” He felt a paw pat his forearm and he turned to Sassy. “You, too, ma petite.” He kissed her between her eyes and she let out a satisfied sigh.

Leo scratched her back. “Up, sweetheart, it’s supper time.” He laughed as Sassy let out a groan and stretched her back legs and yawned. “Oh, big stretch and big yawn, wow.”

Sassy hopped off the couch and shook, her lips and ears making a flapping sound. She trotted over to greet Finn and sniffed eagerly at the bags he was still holding. “Ah-ah, none for you. Yet. Maybe some chicken.”

Leo tisked. “Spices aren’t good for dogs, they upset their tummies.” He walked over and rested a hand on Finn’s lower back and leaned in for a kiss. “Hi. Thanks for getting dinner.”

“You’re welcome, sunshine.” Finn opened the takeout bags on their counter and began to unload them. Sassy sat obediently and looked up at him, ears perked up. Finn looked at her, then at Leo with his very own pleading puppy dog eyes. “Are you sure she can’t-”

“No. But we can cut her up some cucumbers and you can give them to her, how’s that?”

Finn smiled and nodded. “That sounds good.” He bent to touch his and Sassy’s foreheads together and kissed her nose. “You’re just so cute!”

She barked and wagged her tail happily. Leo looked down at her proudly, then caught Logan looking at him. “You okay, sweetheart?”

Logan nodded. “Ouais,” he said, going up to wrap his arms around Leo’s ribs. “Just love you.”

Leo kissed the top of his head. “I love you, too.” He bent to wrap his hands under Logan’s thighs and pick him up. His dimples were there again. “You got me a dog.”

Logan scratched a hand through his hair and tightened his legs around his waist. “I did.”

“We.”

“It was my idea!”

Leo rolled his eyes fondly and kissed Logan on the mouth. “Well, thank you both. She’s perfect.”

Logan kissed him again. “You’re perfect.”

Leo just grinned and set him down again. “C’mon, let’s get the plates. Then I gotta give Sassy her dinner.” Logan scratched Sassy, who was still watching Finn open the take out containers with rapt attention, on the head, letting the warm feeling of family fill him up as he went to get the silverware.

Oh, and have some FinnLo in the audience being OBSESSED that their sunshine is a musician! :)

Credits to @lumosinlove

“Le, did you get the extra cables for tonight?”

“Yup,” Leo said to Cassie, typing quickly on his computer. His political philosophy paper wasn’t going to write itself. “In my backpack.”

“Cool, great. And the extra amp, how are we getting that there?”

“Amanda’s girlfriend is bringing it in her car.”

“‘Kay, cool. Cool, cool, cool.”

Leo grinned, swiveling in his chair and looking at Cassie with raised eyebrows. “You’re stressed.”

“Well, obviously,” she hissed. “This is our biggest gig yet.”

“And you’re sure it has nothing to do with a certain person being there?”

She rolled her eyes, but was blushing. “Percy Marshall has free will. He can come if he wants. I didn’t even invite him, Finn did.”

Leo winced. “Yeah, sorry. He likes to meddle.”

“Yes, he does.” She tapped her pen against her notebook repeatedly. “Also, it doesn’t matter if Percy is there or not. I sing because I like it. And I’m good.”

“So good.”

“Right?”

“Are you asking me, or telling me?”

Cassie groaned, thumping her head on the table. Her blonde waves fell in a curtain around her head. “I don’t know.”

“Well, figure it out. And study for your Calc exam, you don’t want to have to take it again next year.”

“Why the hell does a journalism major have to take math anyways?!”

“Your voice is going high,” Leo pointed out, turning back to his essay.

She narrowed her eyes at him. “I’m stressed.”

“Still, I’d prefer not to lose my hearing at twenty-one. Go, do math, please.”

Cassie kicked his foot gently under the table, but she was smiling.

***

“How we feeling?”

Leo and Amanda looked up from where they were tuning their guitars to find Layla’s smiling face. She was fiddling with her drumsticks.

“Good,” Leo said. “Almost done. Has Cole tuned his bass yet?”

She rolled her eyes. “No. He’s still drinking his pre-gig tea. And Thomas came backstage to talk, so they’re distracting each other.”

Amanda snorted. “Well, then we might be down a bassist tonight.”

“I’ll go find him,” Layla laughed, then she was walking away, her long twists swishing behind her.

Leo plucked his final string, watching the light on his electric tuner turn green. “‘Kay,” he said. “I’m all set.”

“Me, too.” Amanda unclipped her strap and set her guitar in its stand. “I’m gonna go say goodbye to Aadhya, I’ll be right back!”

Leo made kissing sounds as she jogged to the little back room where their stuff was, laughing when she flipped him off. He hummed to himself as he plucked out a few chords. Even after performing with the band for almost two years, he still got nervous he would forget something on stage. A quick review was necessary. He was just running through their opening number when his eyes were covered by two hands.

“Guess who?”

Leo smiled. “Hi, sweetheart.”

“Hi,” Finn said happily, uncovering his hands and bouncing in front of Leo, Logan following. “How are you?”

“Good,” Leo said, slipping his guitar strap over his head and setting the instrument in its stand.

Logan reached out and thumbed the bottom of Leo’s tank top. “Feel ready?”

Leo smiled. “Yeah. Little nervous.”

“You’ll be so good,” Finn said. He draped his arms loosely around Leo’s shoulders. “There are so many people out there waiting to see you.”

Logan laughed. “Rouge, I don’t think that’s helping.”

“But they’re his fans!” Finn scratched absentmindedly at the back of Leo’s scalp. “We’re your biggest fans, though.”

“I don’t know,” Leo teased with a smile. “My mama might have you beat on that one.”

“I’ll fight her for the honor.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “No you will not,” he chastised gently. “But you will give me a good luck kiss.”

He didn’t even have time before Finn’s smile was kissing his own in happy bursts. “I love you, I love you, good luck, peanut butter sunshine baby.”

Logan was there, too, pressed against their sides. He cupped Leo’s waist with his hand gently and tilted his head up for a kiss of his own. “You’ll be amazing, soleil.” He ran his hand appreciatively up Leo’s arm. “You look very sexy.”

“Yes, very,” Finn agreed. “We’re lucky boys, that’s for sure.”

“Okay,” Leo laughed. “We go on soon, so I need to go.” He kissed them each quickly and squeezed their hands. “I love you.”

“Je t’aime.”

“Love you!”

Leo blew them a kiss as he walked into the backstage room. Thomas was on his way out and held his fist out for Leo to bump. “Kick ass, man.”

Leo slapped his back. “Thanks, Talky.” He closed the door behind Thomas and smiled at his bandmates. “Feeling good?”

Cole nodded. “Feeling good.”

“Good.” Leo went over and sat by Cassie on the couch, throwing an arm over her shoulders. “How are you?”

She sighed, resting her head on Leo’s shoulder. “I’m okay. All warmed up.”

“You’ll be amazing.”

“Mm.” She shifted closer, then looked up at him. “Would your boyfriends be jealous if they saw us right now?”

Leo laughed. “Oh, definitely. Finn’s ears would be bright red, and Logan would be staring at you so hard.” He rested their temples together. “But I won’t tell them.”

“Thanks.” She looked around the room at everyone else watching her carefully. “I’ll be fine, guys, really.”

Layla nodded. “We know. You get on stage and you’re fine, just- I don’t know, I think we’re all a little nervous.”

“Right?” Amanda laughed nervously. “I mean, fuck, this place is huge!”

Cole was staring off into space with wide eyes. “I’m absolutely shitting myself.”

They all looked at each other for a moment, silent, then burst out into laughter. Cassie’s body shook against Leo’s shoulder, and Layla was doubled up over her knees across from him. Amanda and Cole were falling over each other on the other couch. Leo felt the anxiety of the moment slip away a little and he bit his lip around a smile.

“Oh, fuck me, we’re crazy,” Amanda laughed.

Leo felt a buzz in his back pocket, and unwound his arm from Cassie’s shoulders to take out his phone while the others continued laughing around him. His lock screen lit up with a notification. He took a minute to smile at the photo. It was of himself, Logan, and Finn around a campfire from the fall, bundled up in sweatshirts and sweatpants. Logan was sitting sideways on Leo’s lap in a camp chair and Finn had both his arms draped over Leo’s shoulders from behind, pressing their cheeks together and smiling. Leo ran his thumb over it fondly before unlocking his phone and opening up his texts.

Finn had sent him a photo of the stage, and then a photo of Logan flipping him off, a cup held to his mouth. Here’s where we are, sunshine, the text read. Love you x A GAZILLION ur so sexy and talented and hot and pretty and we love you mwah mwah MWAH <33333333333

Leo snorted out loud, shaking his head fondly. <3 you both, you can come backstage after.

Cassie not-so-subtley peeked over his shoulder. “Oo-oo, Leo’s got some admirers!”

He blushed and nudged her. “Shut up.”

“Seriously,” Cole said. “You three are always just like…” He widened his eyes and smiled goofily, fluttering his eyelashes.

“No we are not.”

“Yeah-huh,” Amanda said.

“Fine.” Leo sighed, dropping his head back. He feigned exasperation, but really his stomach was fluttering. “Yes, we’re sickeningly in love, all right?”

Layla snorted. “Yes, you are.” She clapped her hands. “And it’s five-to, so we gotta go.”

They all grabbed their water and walked back to get their instruments. Leo peeked around the wooden panels on the side of the stage that blocked them from the view of the audience as he adjusted his guitar strap.

“You find them?” asked Cole from behind him.

“I’m looking,” Leo said. His eyes scanned the crowd, looking for a shock of red hair or the slope of Logan’s broad back.

“There,” Cole said. “With our other friends.”

Leo followed Cole’s finger to where it was pointing and smiled. Sure enough, there were Finn and Logan, talking with Hannah, a friend of Finn’s from his freshman year, and Sirius, who had bonded with Logan the year before because they were both from Quebec. Finn had a drink in one hand and another secure around Logan’s waist, pulling him flush to his own body. Logan was quiet, as he usually was, and was listening to Finn so closely and intently his nose was almost brushing Finn’s cheek. Finn took notice and kissed him quickly before going back to whatever he had been talking about.

“You see ‘em?” Cole asked.

Leo nodded. “Yeah. I do.”

Cole snorted and slapped his back. “C’mon, lover boy, it’s show time.”

Leo grinned quietly to himself as the lights went up and they followed Cassie out onto the stage.

***

Leo strummed the last chord of their song, With You, letting his sound ring before silencing his guitar with his palm. There was a brief silence, then the crowd was applauding and cheering. Cassie, smiling broadly as always, thanked them with a nod and a laugh as she set her microphone in its stand.

“I’m glad you liked that one,” she said, fiddling with the mic chord. “We do, too.” She flipped her long blonde hair over her shoulder and turned to Leo. Good? she mouthed.

Leo nodded, running the cable connecting his guitar to the amp through his hands to stretch it out.

“Okay,” he heard Cassie say. “I’m going to take a step back for a minute. We’re gonna play a cover for you, one of our favorites, and Mr. Leo Knut here is gonna sing lead for us.” She scrunched her nose teasingly at him. “He’s very good.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully as they switched spots, Amanda going to pick up her acoustic guitar. Cassie stopped him with a hand on his bicep. “Good?”

Leo nodded with a smile. “Yeah.”

She smiled. “You’ll be great.”

He smiled back, nudging their arms. “Thanks, Cass.” He stepped up to the mic, raising just a bit. “Hey, y’all, how ya doin’?” He winced inwardly- his accent always came out stronger when he was onstage, but people didn’t seem to mind. There was some applause and cheers, and a loud whoop! that Leo would bet all his money on came from Finn. He grinned, squinting against the lights shining on the stage. He fiddled with the neck of his guitar. “Good. Hey, look, we’re gonna do a little cover for you. This song is one of my favorites.”

He flashed his eyes around the crowd until they landed on his boyfriends, the both of them smiling up at him. Logan was slumped back against Finn’s chest, Finn’s arms tight around his waist. Finn winked at him and Leo felt this face warm.

Leo realized he had spaced out for a few seconds and cleared his throat. “Um, so,” he said, strumming once on his instrument. “Yeah, I like this one a lot. Reminds me of some people very dear to me.” He turned to look behind him. “Ready?”

His bandmates nodded, and then they were off.

Leo opened it with the guitar riff, now familiar under his fingers after so many run-throughs. He bobbed his head to the beat and took a deep breath just as Cole and Amanda joined him.

Could you whisper in my ear

The things you wanna feel?

I’d give you anything

To feel it comin’

Do you wake up on your own

And wonder where you are?

You live with all your faults

Leo smiled, eyes flashing to the neck of his guitar as he plucked out the shortened transition riff, feeling the sound of Cassie’s tambourine and Layla’s soft cymbal shake through his chest. He glanced out at the crowd and moved closer to the mic.

I wanna wake up where you are

I won’t say anything at all

So why don’t you slide?

Leo rocked his body faster, grinning at the rhythm of his and Amanda’s strumming.

Yeah, I’m gonna let it slide

The crowd was lively now. Lots of people were swaying and singing along, a few even dancing with their friends or partners. It energized Leo, touched something so deep in his bones he felt like his body was thrumming. He bounced a little as he strummed, closing his eyes as he started the next verse, Cassie’s harmonies mixing with his own voice.

Don’t you love the life you killed?

The priest is on the phone

Your father hit the wall

Your ma’ disowned you

Don’t supposed I’ll ever know

What it means to be a man

It’s something I can’t change

I’ll live around it

I wanna wake up where you are.

I won’t say anything at all.

So why don’t you slide?

Oo, slide

Leo loved this part of the song. The way the strumming picked up, the way it made him feel light and giddy as he sang it. He caught Cassie’s eye and smiled. She was slapping the tambourine on her hands and tapping her toe, her long, golden hair shaking with the movement of her body. Amanda and her were back to back now and laughing; on his other side, Leo could see Cole shaking his head and smiling goofily at Layla in the back.

And I’ll do anything you ever dreamed to be complete

Little pieces of the nothing that fall.

He turned towards the crowd again. He had to find them, quickly, had to catch their eye to sing the next bit, like he always did.

They were already looking back at him when he caught their gazes. Finn was swaying Logan gently and singing along to the lyrics. It reminded Leo of all the times he’d seen lovers at music festivals, hands on each other’s hips, casually touching in a way that said, I’m here. I’m here with you, and I love you.

Leo blushed and looked out at them through his lashes with a grin, holding their gaze as he continued.

Oh, May

Put your arms around me

What you feel is what you are

And what you are is beautiful

Oh, May

Do you wanna get married?

Or run away?

They broke off into a brief instrumental interlude, and Leo broke his gaze to look at his guitar neck, shifting his fingers accordingly. Sometimes, looking at them was too much. Sometimes, he didn’t know what to do when they smiled at him like they had just then, so full of adoration and joy.

The instrumental part was finishing up again and Leo was catching their eyes once more.

And I’ll do anything you ever dreamed to be complete

Little pieces of the nothing that fall

Oh, May

Put your arms around me

What you feel is what you are

And what you are is beautiful

Oh, May

Do you wanna get married?

Or run away?

Leo scrunched his nose at Logan and Finn in a smile, their expressions mimicking his.

I wanna wake up where you are

And I won’t say anything

There was the sound of Layla’s drum fill, and then they were all bouncing. Leo angled his head to Cassie and bopped along with her.

And I’ll do anything you ever dreamed to be complete

Little piece of the nothin’ that fall

And I’ll do anythin’ you ever dreamed to be complete

Little pieces of the nothing that fall

Leo felt his chest heaving as he looked at the other people around the room. They were looking at him, trying to catch his eye, and smiling. But he really didn’t care much about them at that moment, if he was being honest with himself. He moved closer to the mic as the instruments crescendoed and grinned, locking eyes with Finn and Logan’s happy faces one final time.

Yeah, slide between the sheets of all them beds you never knew

Why don’t you slide into my room?

Just slide into my room

Oh, we’ll run away, run away, run away

Leo tore his eyes away only to look at his guitar as he played the closing rift through, his fingers shaking slightly with the adrenaline. He took a deep breath as they all let their instruments ring out a bit. As always, there was silence, then applause. Cassie was beside him in a moment, grabbing his arm and shaking it excitedly.

“You kicked ass!”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully and bumped their foreheads together. “So did you. That one’s always fun.”

She flashed her eyes to the crowd, grin widening, then looked back at Leo. “Your lovers are staring.”

Leo blushed but turned to look. And sure enough, in the crowded room, dark and dusty and probably smelling of sweat and beer, two sets of twinkling eyes were looking at him, smiles so wide almost all their teeth were showing. Logan raised his fingers in a wave and Finn blew him a kiss. Love you.

Leo bit his lip around a smile and let out a quiet, giddy laugh. Love you.

Then he gave Cassie one more pat on the shoulder and went back to his place to finish the set.

***

Leo wiped the sweat off his face with the bottom of his tank top, bristling a bit as some of the saltiness got in his eyes. They all set their instruments in their stands backstage to be put away in a few minutes and hurried to the dressing room. There was a window that Cole immediately threw open, and then Layla was handing them all water bottles from a cooler.

“Drink up,” she said. “Before you go to the bar, please.”

“Thanks,” Leo panted. He cracked it open and downed half in one go, then fell against the couch and placed the cool plastic on his forehead. The condensation was a little uncomfortable, but he was too hot to care. The others were chatting around him, and there was the sound of the door opening and closing as people came and went, fussing with cables and amps. Aadhya slapped his leg in a job well done and he stuck his thumb up.

“Gimme a minute,” he said. “I’ll help.”

“Nope,” she said. “Percy, Thomas, and I have got it. You all just sit for a minute, okay? You’re dehydrated.”

Leo didn’t really have it in himself to protest. “‘Kay. Thanks.”

She nodded and went back to putting away Amanda’s guitars.

Leo closed his eyes once more and let out a deep breath through his mouth. Performing was a joy and an adrenaline boost, but the period after was stressful sometimes. Their bodies and brains were exhausted; a few moments of relaxation and quiet was necessary.

Suddenly, he felt two palms rub the outside of his thighs and a soft voice. “Soleil.”

Leo opened his eyes slowly to meet Logan’s loving green ones. He smiled up at him. “Salut.”

“Salut, chérie.” The French was warm and comforting, like Leo was being wrapped in a blanket. Logan bent to kiss his mouth softly. “You did so well.”

“Merci,” Leo said. He set the water bottle beside him then wrapped his hands around the backs of Logan’s thighs. “Hey, c’mere.” When Logan was seated on his lap, knees digging into the soft cushions around them, Leo leaned up to kiss him a little harder. “Thank you for coming.”

“Oui, of course we did. Finn’s helping put stuff away.” Logan picked up the water bottle and pressed it back to Leo’s forehead. “Es-tu chaud, mon coeur?”

Leo nodded. “Ouais, a little.” He winced as Logan kissed his temple. “Sorry, I’m all sweaty.”

Logan grinned and pressed another soft kiss to his mouth. “Non, I like you sweaty.”

Leo smiled against his mouth and stole another kiss. “I love you. I’m so happy you both are here.”

Logan set the water bottle aside and tenderly cupped Leo’s face in his hands. “We love you so much, peanut.”

They smiled at each other for a moment before a freckled face appeared above Logan’s shoulder. “‘Sup, lovers?” Finn asked, kissing Logan’s cheek then leaning down to peck Leo on the lips. “How are you, baby?”

“Tired,” Leo sighed. “Hot.”

“Yeah you are.” Finn put Leo's guitar case down, flopped beside him on the couch, and threw one arm around his shoulders, his other hand resting on Leo’s thigh. “Hey, I have an idea.”

Leo rested his head on Finn’s shoulder. “Hm?”

“How about we run away and get married?”

Leo tisked and raised his head. Finn’s grin was mischievous, and Leo just rolled his eyes fondly. “Shut up.”

“No, no, let’s go. Right now.” He bent to whisper in Leo’s ear. “And if you’re lucky, we’ll both slide into your room.”

“That’s it,” Leo said, sitting up and moving to stand. “I’m getting new boyfriends.”

“Non,” Logan demanded firmly. He let his weight go heavier on Leo’s lap and laced a hand through his hair possessively. “Non, you’re not.”

“Kidding.” Leo placated Logan with a kiss then fell back into the cushions, slumped down and leaning into Finn’s side. “But I don’t just sing those lyrics to you for no reason, you know.”

“We know, sunshine.” Finn nosed at Leo’s hair and kissed his temple.

“It’s because I love you very much.”

“And we love you, baby.” Finn reached out to play with Logan’s fingers. “But- we are getting married, right? Maybe not the ‘running away’ thing, because my parents and brother would kill me, but… marriage?”

Leo turned to brush their noses together and nodded. “If that’s what you want, then I want it. Lo?”

“Of course I do,” Logan answered. He brought their left hands to his mouth and kissed their ring fingers. He then peeked out through his lashes and winked. “And I’d also like to slide into your bed.”

“Oh my God, this isn’t funny anymore!” Leo exclaimed, bouncing his legs up and down to jostle Logan. He laughed and looked up at him. “I am trying to be romantic, stop being weird about it.”

Logan pressed their smiles together in a slow kiss. “It’s very romantic, mon soleil,” he whispered. “We love it.”

“Yeah, we do, baby. You’re so sweet.” Finn kissed his cheek and bit his jaw. “Sweet enough to eat.”

“Oh-kay, lovebirds!” Cassie sing-songed. Leo looked around Logan’s body to find her standing across the room with Layla, the both of them waggling their eyebrows exaggeratedly. Percy was behind her with her purse, his face flushed nervously. Cassie jerked her head. “C’mon, time to celebrate. We can leave our stuff here.”

“Damn right,” Leo said. “I need a fuckin’ drink.”

“Mm, your accent always sounds stronger when you’re tired,” Finn murmured with a last kiss to his and Logan’s cheeks. He stood and held out his hands. “Let’s go, I’m buying.”

Logan and Leo took his hands and followed him out the door, the rest of Leo’s bandmates and a few of their friends behind them. Finn refused to stop holding their hands, even when passing through the narrow hallway, which made Cole let out a frustrated groan behind them. “Let’s move it! I would like a fruity drink!”

Layla rolled her eyes fondly. “You and your cocktails.”

“Hey, don’t mock me, babe, you always steal them anyways.”

Leo smiled and held Finn’s hand tightly until they got to the bar. Finn rapped his knuckles and put on his most charming smile. “A rum and coke, a dark n’ stormy, and a Jameson neat, please.”

A bartender with a thick braid running down her back smiled at Leo. “You guys were good.”

“Thanks,” he said sheepishly.

“Aw, don’t get so shy, butter baby,” Finn teased. He pinched Leo’s cheeks. “You deserve all the praise.”

Leo looked between him and Logan and leaned in. “Maybe you can slide in my bed and give me some tonight.”

Finn’s eyes darkened. Logan just looked a little dazed. “Promise?”

“Promise.” He kissed each of their stunned mouths quickly and grabbed his drink, smiling. “Now, c’mon, let’s go find a dark corner and make out.”

And with their laughter following him, Leo turned towards the crowd and let himself internalize the moment. The hands on his hips were warm and gentle and he smiled at the stage where he had just been. Maybe, he thought, it wouldn’t be so bad running away and getting married.

Not until he graduated though.

“Love you,” Finn whispered, resting his temple on the back of Leo’s neck.

Leo turned to kiss him, then drew Logan to his chest to kiss him, too. “I love you,” he whispered back. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”

Logan and Finn

“What is this?”

Logan smiled at Finn's confusion. “A surprise, rouge.”

“I'm so confused,” Finn said. His brow was furrowed as he took in the store front. “What are we doing here?”

Logan tugged him by the hand through the door of the studio. “We're painting.”

“Huh?”

Logan rolled his eyes and kissed Finn's cheek. “Allez.” He smiled at the curly haired receptionist. Her smock was covered in paint, and there was even some in her bandana. “Hi. I booked a couple hours.”

She smiled back and opened a book in front of her. “Last name?”

“Tremblay.”

“Ah, gotcha,” she said, then penciled something in. She waved them along with a bright grin. “This way.”

They passed by display cases of completed work, and a couple of classrooms where there were sculpting lessons. Finn's hand was warm on Logan's lower back as they eventually made their way to a large room. There were other couples and groups there, immersed in their work. The girl spun on her heel and gestured to a shelf.

“Blank pieces are here for you to choose from, and I set the glazes by your station. There are smocks, too. When you're done, find one of us, and we will put them in the kiln for you to pick up next week.” She led them to a table laden with small plastic pots of glazes and paints. “Make sure you don't go too thick or too thin. We'll be around if you have any questions.” She rapped her hands on the table then took a step back. “Have fun!”

“Merci,” Logan said softly. He turned to look at Finn. “So?”

Finn just grinned and kissed him hard. “You're such a sweetheart.” He looked to the shelves with the various blank clay pieces. “What do you think? Bowl? Plate?”

Logan hummed and scanned them with his eyes, Finn doing the same beside him. They both reached for a different item, and turned to look at each other at the same time. Finn had a large plate with a raised bowl in the middle.

“For Leo,” he said, blushing a little. “He's been making a lot of dips this summer. He'd like this, I think.”

Logan felt his heart skip a beat. “Yeah. He will.”

“What'd you choose?”

Logan held up the mug with a smile. It had a perfect thumb hold, and was tall enough to hold a lot of tea. Engraved on the side was a raised sun design. Finn clocked it immediately and bit around a grin. His eyes were warm when they looked into Logan's own.

“We're hopeless, huh?” he sighed. “Leo leaves for one fishing weekend with Reg and we are barely surviving without him.”

“Ouais,” Logan said. He brushed one hand up and down Finn's waist. “But that means we get to greet him when he walks through the door.”

Finn's expression turned excited. “Yeah. Yeah, you're right. I can't wait.” He jerked his head towards the table. “Let's get to work, ten.”

They attempted to make them a matching set- kind of. Logan had thought it was a weird suggestion when Finn brought it up, but he was sure Leo would appreciate it anyhow. His piece was admittedly neater than Finn's. The sun was perfectly yellow, with a gradient blue sky starting from its outline and working outwards around the mug. Finn had attempted the same, starting in the middle with the dip bowl and working towards the edges of the plate, but he'd been a bit heavy handed with the glaze and now the colors were starting to blur together.

He let out a frustrated groan. “I am absolutely butchering this.”

Logan laughed and leaned into his shoulder. Their ankles were crossed underneath the table. “Non, it'll look fine. Leo will love it anyway.”

“I know he will,” Finn said. “He will because he's Leo and he appreciates the littlest things, even if they are ugly.” He huffed. “But I want this to be perfect. He deserves perfection.”

“Ouais, he does,” Logan said softly. He considered Finn's work. “Maybe- maybe you try mixing them. Like tie-dye, or- what's the word? When you randomly mix a bunch of paint together?”

“Splatter paint?”

“Ouais, splatter paint.” He gestured to his own mug. “That way they'll be matching, but not exactly the same.” He pointed to the outside rim of the bowl. “You could put green there, oui? To make it transition?”

Finn laughed. “Since when did you become an expert in pottery?”

Logan blushed. “Non. It's just ‘cause it's Leo.”

Finn looked wistful. “Yeah.” He sighed and tilted his temple against Logan's. “I miss him.”

“Ouais,” Logan whispered. “Me too. But Reg is leaving for school soon. He won't see him for a while.”

“But you’re leaving soon. For New York.”

Finn's dejected voice tugged at Logan's heartstrings. “Ouais. Ouais, I know.” He kissed Finn's temple. “But we are people outside of us being together, too, rouge. And Reg means a lot to Leo.”

Finn sighed again. “I know. I know, I'm being silly. I just really miss him.” He turned to push his nose into Logan's neck. “I like doing stuff with friends during the day. But I like when we're all in bed together at night.” He pulled back to cup Logan's jaw and kiss him softly. “Don't like going to sleep without you two.”

Logan breathed out heavily. “Je sais. I know, it's hard.” He turned back to his mug. “Let's make these for Leo and surprise him with them next week. Then I'll take you out for dinner, then to bed, ouais?”

Finn smiled. “You bet you can take me to bed.”

Logan rolled his eyes but hooked his ankle more firmly around Finn's. “Allez. Soleil deserves perfection, so let's paint.”

***

Leo and Logan

“Mm, smells good, soleil.”

Leo smiled at Logan from where he was finishing up their cutlets. “Thanks honey. How was practice? Feel good about tomorrow?”

“Ouais,” Logan said, slipping off his shoes. He took Leo in, then noticed the dining room table, near his balcony doors, set with candles and a bottle of sparkling cider. He smiled. “You did this for me?”

Leo nodded, then turned back to the stove. “I thought we could have a date night while Fish is out for dinner with Alex. And you've been tired with the playoffs, so I figured staying in might be the best option.” When he didn't get a response, he looked up at Logan, brow furrowed. “Is that okay?”

But Logan was already walking towards him, smile bright and loving. “Oui. C'est bien.” He fell against Leo's chest to kiss him. “Je t'aime, soleil. Merci.”

Leo kissed him again. “Love you. Now go get changed, sweetheart. Dinner will be ready soon.”

Logan squeezed against his waist once more before going to their bedroom. Leo hummed along to the music playing through the speakers, his soft, old country playlist reverberating around the room. He had just finished placing the pans on the table when Logan appeared from their bedroom, making Leo stop in his tracks.

“You look… Lo, you look gorgeous.”

Logan smiled sheepishly. “So do you.”

Leo looked down at himself, in his navy jeans and dark salmon waffle shirt, then at Logan in his black pants and plum button down and was lost for words. Logan’s hair was curlier, too, now that it was longer, and framed his face in a middle part. His eyes were jewel-like as they roved over the table setting, and Leo was so, so in love with him. He said as much.

“I'm so, so in love with you.” He walked forward to cup Logan's face. “God, Lo. You’re just… you’re so gorgeous. You're so gorgeous.”

Logan scrunched his nose around his Finn impression. “Look who's talking.”

Leo laughed, but rubbed his thumbs over Logan's sharp cheekbones, holding his gentle gaze. “I know, I know, but you… Logan, sometimes Finn and I don't know what to do, you're so gorgeous. You're so beautiful, sweetheart, all the time.” He leaned down to kiss Logan softly. “But especially in person.”

That seemed to rile Logan up, and he sighed heavily through his nose and kissed Leo deeper. He was gripping Leo's shirt in his hands, pulling Leo down to where he was, and it made Leo dizzy.

“Honey,” Leo gasped out between kisses. “Honey, the food's getting cold.”

“Mm,” Logan groaned. “One more.”

Leo complied, smiling against Logan's mouth before drawing them apart. Logan's face fit perfectly in between his palms and he kissed his forehead before nodding towards the table. “Let's eat, sweetheart.”

Logan laughed as Leo pulled out his chair. “I really like the sparkling cider.”

Leo blushed. “Well, no alcohol because of the playoffs. I just wanted it to still be special.”

Logan took his hand and kissed it. “I love it, soleil. I love you.”

Leo smiled and placed a cutlet on Logan's plate, topped with arugula and tomatoes marinated in their own juices with garlic and basil, a lemon on the side to squirt the juice over the dish. “Love you, sweetheart. Eat, before it gets cold.”

Logan complied, tangling his ankles with Leo's when he sat across from him. His New York apartment would never be home, not like in Gryffindor, but Leo did like having a dining room table to sit at instead of just sitting at the bar stools by the counter. He especially loved to watch Logan enjoy the table, laden with perfectly assembled food and place settings, like at a fancy restaurant. He looked happy, content, and more relaxed than Leo had seen him in a long time.

Their chatter was gentle, as it so often tended to be. Finn was the main conversationalist, and Logan never felt like he had to say anything, but also never felt like he couldn't. Leo usually made himself to be whatever the other person needed him to be in the moment. He sat with Logan in silence or quiet conversation, or made him laugh loudly with his sharp wit. He could read Logan like an open book, and Logan had once said to him that he wondered what he ever felt like he had to hide anyway.

“Merci, Le,” he said after they’d finished. He was playing with Leo’s fingers. “That was delicious, mon coeur.”

“I’m glad you liked it,” Leo replied, standing to clear their plates.

“Non, non,” Logan protested, batting his hands away. “Let me clean, mon chou, you cooked.”

Leo raised his eyebrows teasingly. “Am I going to have to rewash dishes?”

Logan rolled his eyes and stacked their plates. “Fish only has to do that sometimes. I’ve gotten better since living on my own.”

Leo’s smile was a bit joking, and a bit sad. “Well, whatever it takes, I guess.” He kissed Logan briefly. “I’ll dry, then.”

They worked quietly side by side, and Logan triple checked to make sure each plate was clean. He was focused, his tongue poking out in the way that made Finn and Leo laugh. Leo smiled and kissed the side of his head.

“I've got some dessert,” Leo said, breaking their silence. “If you want something sweet.”

“According to Fish, I am something sweet.”

Leo bumped him with his hip. “And he's right.” Leo sorted the utensils into their drawer. “And then I was thinking we'd have to just go to sleep, even before Finn gets home. Want you rested for the game tomorrow.”

Logan sighed. “I'm sorry.”

Leo shook his head hard. “No, no, Lo, don't be sorry. We're so proud of you.” He kissed Logan’s forehead. “We'll finish this, eat, then bed. Okay?”

Logan was placing the last pan on the drying rack when Leo moved to the fridge. He furrowed his brow quizzically, then made an ah! sound when he found what he’d been looking for.

“Not necessarily on the diet plan, but I figured an exception could be made for date night,” he said, holding up a plate with a large piece of cake. “The New York Blackout Cake from that place Finn brought us to.”

Logan bit his lip and looked Leo up and down. Leo looked him up and down, too, everything from his soft curls falling over his face to the eager way he was looking at Leo holding the cake. Leo watched as a conflicted feeling made its way across Logan’s expression. Logan watched Leo's face as Leo caught on, too.

Leo set the plate down on the counter. “What's wrong, sweetheart?”

“I just…” Logan sighed, closing his eyes and hanging his head back. He didn’t quite know how to find the English words, sometimes. “I just want to rest with you.”

Leo moved into his space and cupped his hips gently. Logan reached up to play with his hair, looking into Leo’s eyes as he tried to understand. “What do you mean, Lo?” He ducked down. “Dites-moi.”

Logan sighed, then continued in French. “I want to go to bed with you and not have to get up and do anything. I want to- I want to go to bed early to stay up late with you, not because I have to sleep enough for a game. And I-” He took a deep breath and pulled Leo close, brushing their noses together. “I want you, Le. It’s been so long, and I want you, but we have to be careful because of the playoffs, and I-” He made a low groan in the back of his throat. His breath was hot against Leo’s cheek. “I just want to rest with you. To be with you.” He kissed Leo hard. “I missed you, mon soleil.”

Leo shuddered, breathing quick and shaky. “I’m sorry, Lo. I’m sorry I said anything about- about going to sleep early, I-”

“Sh, sh,” Logan hushed. He tucked himself under Leo’s chin. “It’s because you care. I love that about you.” He looked up at him. “Let’s eat our cake, oui? Then we go to bed.” Logan sighed and pushed himself further into Leo’s chest. “I want some rest more than none at all.”

“Soon, sweetheart,” Leo said, pulling back to rub up and down Logan’s arms. He jerked his head to the table. “C’mere, you can sit on my lap and I can feed you.”

Logan laughed and took the hand Leo offered, his other holding the cake. Leo did insist on feeding him, taking a bite for himself every now and then. Mostly, he just smiled at Logan, laughing softly as Logan told him about Percy putting shaving cream in Saint and Alex’s gloves, which had them chasing him around the arena with bottles of their own cream provided by Will. Apparently, he was invested in putting a stop to Percy’s practical pranking streak- Percy spent way too much time buying shaving cream, he said.

With every laugh, Leo wrapped Logan up tighter with his free arm until there was no space between them. After Leo took the final bite of cake, Logan kissed him just to taste it off his tongue. Leo obliged for a minute, then insisted that they get ready for bed.

“I want you to be comfy, sweetheart,” Leo said softly. “Then we can spend some more time together, but I want you ready for bed so you can just fall asleep when you need to.”

Logan told him didn’t know how he’d gotten so lucky.

Later, after brushing their teeth and Leo forcing him through a skincare routine, Logan sat straddled in Leo’s lap, kissing him languidly with his arms thrown across Leo’s shoulders, Leo’s hands running up and down his back. It felt good, to kiss just to kiss when they hadn’t had the time to in so long. Logan’s body was warm against his own, skin against skin now that they were just in their boxers. Logan let his head fall back with a slightly wanton sound as Leo moved down to kiss at his neck, scraping his teeth against the hinge of Logan’s jaw like he liked. Leo couldn’t help the pool of arousal working its way up his spine.

“Fuck,” he gasped suddenly, pulling back. His cheeks were flushed and his hair was a mess from Logan’s hands. “Fuck, we have to stop. We have to stop, we have to go to bed.” He blinked hard. “You need to sleep, oh God.”

Logan kissed him softly. “I want you.”

Leo sucked in a breath. “Logan, you can’t say that, not when we can’t-”

“Ouais, we can,” Logan whispered. He settled himself more firmly in the cradle of Leo’s hips. “We can go slow. I’ll be okay, mon coeur, I’m asking you to.” He sighed. “I missed you, Le.”

Leo bit the inside of his cheek, thinking. It didn’t take him long to decide, but he hoped his eyes conveyed he was still a bit worried. “Okay. Okay, but we have to go so slow-”

“Ouais,” Logan interrupted, suddenly urgent. “Ouais, yes, yes.” He bent to suck at Leo’s neck. “Leo.”

“I love you,” Leo gasped. “I love you so much.”

Then, in the dim light of their bedside lamp, Leo let Logan’s everything fill him up and held tightly to his body as he kissed Leo gently back against the pillows.

Finn and Leo

“How’s this, Le?”

Leo nodded, smiling at the way Finn patted the cushioned chair beside his own at the high top table. Finn smiled back, enjoying the way Leo looked golden under the dim cafe lights. He had seen the local band advertised a few days ago, coincidentally playing in his favorite cafe, and had immediately texted Leo demanding a date night.

Besides, he didn't want to be in their apartment any longer than he had to. Not when the winter nights left him cold on one side because Logan wasn't there to warm him up.

They had just played their last game before the All Star break, a matinee, and he could feel that excitement that preceded a vacation, even a stay at home one. He could tell that Leo did, too, with the way he'd been laughing freely that afternoon as he had cooked them an early dinner, the way he’d kissed Finn happily after Finn had held the door open for him to get out of the car. He looked sweet tonight, in his white wool sweater and jeans, golden chain peeking out when it caught the light. Finn took his hand and kissed it. “What do you want, sunshine? I’ll go to the bar and order.”

Leo smiled brightly. “You know what I want.” He leaned across the table and nudged their noses. “And a couple of those blueberry scones, if they still have them, please.”

“You got it,” Finn said, then kissed him briefly and walked to the bar.

The bartender smiled at him when he approached. “Finn,” he said. “The usual?”

“You know it, Marius,” Finn replied with a grin. “And a Dark ‘n Stormy for Le. Oh, and two of those blueberry scones, if they're still around, please?”

Marius nodded, already grabbing a shaker. “We always have them for our favorite food critic. Usual table?”

“Yep, thank you.” Finn slapped some bills on the bar. “Keep the change.”

“This is why you’re my favorite, O’Hara!” Marius called as Finn walked away.

Finn spun and gave him a thumbs up before turning back to walk towards their high top. Leo smiled and reached out his arms, Finn swaying into the cradle of his legs and rubbing his hands up and down Leo’s thighs. “Howdy, nutter butter.”

“Hi,” Leo said softly. “Usual?”

“Always, baby.” Finn kissed his cheek. “Got a couple scones for you. You’re their favorite food critic.”

Leo blushed happily. “That’s sweet.”

“Here we are,” a voice said behind them. A young woman about Leo’s age with long, dark hair placed a tray on their table. “One Manhattan, one Dark ‘n Stormy, and two blueberry scones for you.”

“Thanks, Isha,” Leo said, rubbing a thumb on Finn’s hip. “How’re classes?”

Isha scoffed. “Way harder than whatever hockey you're playing.”

Finn laughed. “I’ll drink to that. Hey, if you do well in fashion school, we’ll commission your first pieces, how does that sound?”

Isha rolled her eyes, but smiled. “Fine. But I hope you like colorful suits, because I make nothing short of fabulous.”

“Amen,” Leo said, reaching to take a sip of his drink. “I’m tired of black and navy.”

She knocked on their table. “I’ll leave you to it, guys. Enjoy!”

They waved her off, then Finn pulled away to sit on his own stool. “I’m kind of excited for the band. Haven’t seen them before.”

Leo hummed and picked up a scone. “Reg went out with Sirius and Remus to see them at the park the other week. Said they’re pretty acoustic.” He took a bite. “Fuck, these are good. Want some?”

Finn smiled and hooked their ankles together. “Nah, baby. I’m fine just sitting here looking at you.”

Leo rolled his eyes. His cheeks were red. “You’re so funny about that.”

“Uh, there’s nothing funny about it. I’ll sit and stare at you and Lo for hours. We’ll test it sometime.”

“You sure you can sit still for that long?” Leo’s eyes were playful.

Finn leaned in. “Sure, if there’s a reward.”

Leo laughed. “If that’s the case, I’m not sure Logan will sit still that long, either.” He straightened. “Hey, look, they’re starting.”

The band was small. A vocalist, guitarist, bassist. A keyboard player. The percussionist had a kit, but also a lot of small instruments Finn didn’t know the name of. They introduced themselves briefly, the vocalist swinging their long hair over their shoulder, then the drummer counted them off. They were a bit folk, almost country.

“Your taste in music, huh, Le?”

“Yeah.” Leo nodded, watching intently. He turned to look at Finn with a smile and reached out his hand. “Thanks for taking me.”

Finn tugged him. “C’mere.”

He led Leo over to stand back to chest with him. Sat on the high stool, Finn was the perfect height to rest his chin on Leo’s shoulder and watch. The skin of Leo’s neck was warm against his cheek, and he wrapped his arms tightly around Leo’s waist. Leo sighed and relaxed back into him, covering Finn’s hands with his own.

“I’m ready for a vacation,” Leo said softly. “Feels like that last roadie went on for ages.”

“Hm,” Finn agreed. He kissed Leo’s skin. “Can’t wait to have you to myself for a few days.”

He could feel Leo smile. “All for you? What if Logan wants me?”

“You’re both all for me,” Finn countered. He buried his nose into Leo’s soft sweater. “All mine.”

Leo leaned back to look at him. “All yours.” He twisted slightly, bringing one hand up to cup Finn’s jaw. “What’s wrong?”

Finn bent to tuck his nose behind Leo’s neck, out of view from the rest of the people. “Miss him.”

“I know,” Leo said, scratching his scalp. “But he’ll be driving home tomorrow after his game. Early, too, it’s at one ‘o clock.”

“I know,” Finn sighed. “And I can’t wait to have a week with both of you, but- it’s just a week.”

This part of the season was always the most difficult. Time spent with Logan was finite and few and far between. They missed him constantly, like a bruise, and trying to fit everything in was impossible. They’d gotten better at not doing that after it made Leo have an anxiety-fused meltdown trying to make all of Logan’s favorite foods during the last All Star break. Now, they mostly enjoyed being in each other’s presence wherever they were: going out to dinner, going for a walk, helping Leo in the kitchen, even cleaning their apartment. But it still didn’t make them hold Logan any less tight when they bid him goodbye.

Leo saw right through him. He kissed the side of Finn’s head. “Look at me, sweetheart.”

Finn lifted his head. Leo’s eyes were soft, his hand gentle as he cupped Finn’s cheek. Finn kissed his engagement ring. “I love you.”

Leo smiled and nudged their noses together. “I love you.” He kissed Finn lightly. “How about this? Tomorrow, we get up and go for a run, then stop by the bakery on the way back and the indoor farmer’s market at the church. I’ll make some nice BLTs and potato wedges for lunch while we watch Logan play, then we sit and cuddle and read until he gets home.”

Finn smiled. “Yeah, okay.” He pressed their temples together. “And tonight?”

Leo’s grin was sly. “We’ll finish here, then you’ll take me to bed. Then tomorrow you take us both to bed.”

Finn laughed softly. “I love that.” He kissed Leo again. “Thank you.”

Leo nodded, then turned back towards the band. “You’re forever for us, sweetheart. After all this hockey is done, we’ll still want you.”

Finn nodded and pressed his lips to Leo’s neck. “Yeah. Yeah, I like forever.”

Leo snorted. “You love forever.” He wiggled further into Finn’s arms. “Now hold me close, O’Hara, the band’s not done.”

Finn squeezed him tighter, settling into Leo’s body as the band wrapped up another song. There was light applause, then the lead singer was smiling at them from the small, raised stage.

“This next one’s a cover,” they said. “An oldie, but a goodie. It’s, in my opinion, one of the most romantic songs to have ever been written, and we love playing it for folks.”

The percussionist picked up a couple shaker eggs, and the keyboardist and bassist a couple violins. Finn raised his eyebrows, intrigued.

“Alright, here we go.”

When the first notes played, Finn gasped out a laugh.

Leo patted his thigh. “What?”

“Nothing,” Finn said with a smile, voice a little tight. Leo turned to look at him fully, eyebrows furrowed. Finn shook his head. “Nothing, it’s just- Lo and I were reading together, this summer, when you were calling your parents to tell them we were engaged.” He bit his lip at the memory. “We were listening to the John Denver vinyl, and this song came on. Lo said it always reminded him of you.”

Leo smiled. “Yeah? Annie’s Song?”

Finn nodded. “Yeah. He said this one, and the other one. About the sun.”

“Sunshine On My Shoulders.”

“Yes, that one.” Finn took a shaky breath. “And he said he wants to dance to them with you at our wedding.”

Leo’s smile was so wide both dimples appeared. “He does?”

Finn used a finger to turn Leo to face him more directly. His eyes were watering. “Mm hm.”

“And what’d you say?”

Finn kissed him. “I said that if he gets two first dances with you, then I get two with each of you, too. Then we get two to dance all together.”

Leo laughed. “People are going to get sick of watching us.”

“I don’t care,” Finn said. “They don’t even have to be there.”

“My mama would be so mad.”

“Well, she can come and watch if she wants, but when you two are dancing, I won’t be a good conversationalist.” He nosed at Leo’s neck. “I’ll be too busy watching my husbands.”

Leo sucked in a breath. “Your husbands.”

“My husbands.”

“All yours.”

“All mine.”

Leo gripped his hair to draw him into a deep kiss, too needy for a public setting. When he pulled back, his face was flushed and his voice a little high. “Take me home. Please, Finn.”

Finn sighed happily. The sound of the violins carried over the crowd. “After this song,” he whispered. He settled back against the chair and closed his eyes with a smile, tucking Leo’s face into his neck, hand in his curls. “I’m imagining my husbands dancing.”

The Cubs

“You want to take them where?”

“To the spa, Layla,” Leo said. “The one Lily gave you vouchers for for your birthday. The really good new one, owned by the lesbian couple?”

“Oh, that place is fantastic.”

Leo and Layla looked over to Thomas, who was contentedly sitting in his ice bath.

Layla looked amused. “You been, Talky?”

“Have I? Fuck, Kasey, James, and I got our relaxation on with the girls one day. Best day of my life.” He snorted. “And I know Kasey went back with Alex and Natalie. Apparently Alex fell asleep in the massage chair.”

That made Leo and Layla laugh. She turned back to massage out his tight quad. “I can give you the phone number, Nut. You going during Christmas?”

Lep nodded. “Yeah, I said I wanted to take them out on a date when Logan’s home for a couple days. Figured this would be relaxing.” He shrugged. “Plus, I figured it’d be a bit… safer for us, you know? They’ve got a three or more persons relationship package.”

She raised her eyebrows. “You think Finn can sit still that long?”

“If he’s in a comfy chair, sure. He loves a good chair.”

Thomas snorted. “I swear, he’s an old man. When he reads he slides his glasses down his nose.”

Leo smiled. “I know. He’ll be such a sexy old man.”

“And that’s enough for today, I think,” Layla said, looking at him pointedly. “Up you get, go shower. I’ll text you the number.”

“Thank you, ma’am,” Leo said brightly. “I’ll bake you a pie as a thank you.”

“Pecan, please!” she called out after him.

“You got it!”

***

Logan looked confusedly at the building in front of them. “You are taking us…”

“...to a spa?” Finn finished. “What for?”

Leo smiled. “You’ll see.”

“This better be worth leaving our bed,” Logan grumbled.

Leo took his hand and kissed his cheek. “Promise, honey. It’s to get you to relax.”

Logan cocked an eyebrow. “You already know how to get me relaxed.”

“Tremblay,” Finn scolded gently. “Public indecency is not how I want to go to jail!”

Leo left them to their quiet bickering and approached the desk attendant. She had brown hair that faded into purple waves at the ends and a pronoun pin that said Izzy she/her on it. “Hi, ma’am. Reservation for three people at 2 o’clock for Leo Knut?”

She smiled back. “Hi there, Leo. You can follow me!”

They were led back to a changing room, where they were instructed to dress themselves in the robes folded on the benches. The room smelled like eucalyptus.

Finn looked around at the space. “Wowzers. This place is nice.” He looked up at the wall, where there were various Pride flags hung up, as there were all over the building. “Cute.”

“How’d you find it, Le?” Logan asked.

Leo reached down to play with his fingers, poking out of the robe sleeves. It was a little big on him. “Layla. She gave me the number. We got a package.”

Finn raised his eyebrows. “Like a couple’s package?”

Leo nodded. “Yeah, but they do relationship packages for more than two people.” He blushed a little, biting his cheek. “I know we want to spend as much time together as possible, but I thought it’d be relaxing. We don’t always get to do this stuff, you know? At least not like other people.” He shrugged, ducking down a little. “I thought it’d be romantic.”

Logan smiled brightly at him, looping his arms around Leo’s waist and falling onto his chest with a sigh. “It is romantic, soleil.” He stood on his toes to kiss Leo gently. “You’re just so…”

“Sweet?” Finn supplied.

“Oui. The sweetest.” He bit Leo’s jaw. “Like candy.”

Finn made an eager little sound and pressed a burst of kisses to Leo’s cheek. “Does that mean we get to eat you, sunshine? Because I’m so game for that.”

Leo shook his head, but was grinning. “Later. First it’s massage time.”

Three people knocked on the door and led them to three massage tables, lined up side by side. Leo’s masseuse, Leanna, instructed him to take his robe off and lay down with a towel around his hips. He did as told, and sighed deeply when she began rubbing lotion on him and working on his upper back.

“Jesus Christ,” a voice came. It was Logan’s masseuse, Iris. “I’m going to break my hands, you’ve got so many knots. What is it you said you did again?”

“Professional hockey players,” Finn replied. He sounded halfway asleep. “He also frequently gets into fights.”

“Fish.”

Iris sighed. “That’ll do it.” Leo laughed as he heard their knuckles crack. “Let’s get to work then, Logan. I’m going to have you so unwound, it’ll be like magic.”

***

About an hour later, when they were declared done, Logan and Leo sat up, Logan rolling his shoulders and neck. Their masseuses turned away politely to let them put their robes back on, then Logan let out a satisfied groan. He looked at Iris with wide eyes. “Merde. You really did work magic.”

Iris smiled. “You gave me a run for my money. My elbow could only dig so far into those big muscles of yours.”

A knock on the door interrupted their laughter, and Izzy poked her head in. “We all good here? The next room is ready for you.”

“Hi, baby,” Iris said. “We’re all done.” They jerked their head at Logan. “This one had knots the size of a baseball.”

Izzy winced. “Yikes. Leanna, Felicity, any trouble?”

Felicity shook her head. “No.” She looked to Finn. “But I think he’s asleep.”

Indeed, Finn had fallen asleep. His breathing was even, and there were soft snores coming from where his face was poking through the head rest.

They all laughed softly, and Logan hopped off his bed to crouch beside Finn. “Rouge,” he whispered. “Rouge, wake up. Gotta get dressed.” When Finn still didn’t stir he kissed his back. “Finn.”

Finn jerked awake at his name, almost letting the towel slide down. Leo acted quickly and held it for him. “No nudity here, O’Hara.”

The masseuses laughed, and Finn pushed up onto his elbows in surprise. He blinked hard. “Oh man.” He tilted his head up to look at Logan, who gazed at him adoringly. “I took a nap.”

“That you did,” Felicity said with a grin. She clapped her hands. “Robe on, let’s go. You get face masks next.”

***

“You boys want anything to drink?” Isaiah, one of their estheticians, said. He was mixing Leo’s face mask. The other esthetician, Marcy, was washing up from doing Finn’s. “We got iced tea, fruity iced tea, lemonade, green juice.”

Leo looked to Logan, who was relaxed against his chair, a ridiculous blue mask on his face and cucumbers on his eyes. Finn’s brown eyes were peeking out from his white mask, his own cucumber slices in his hand as he considered.

“You have sweet tea?” Leo asked.

Isaiah smiled and nodded “I thought I detected a southern accent. Where are you from?”

“New Orleans, sir.”

“Savannah.”

Leo laughed. “I’m in good company, then.”

Isaiah winked and turned to Finn. “Anything for you?”

Finn nodded. “Unsweetened iced tea with lemon for me, thanks.” He jerked his head at Logan. “He’ll take the sweetest drink you got in your largest glass, please.”

“Ouais, s'il vous plaît,” Logan sighed happily.

Marcy laughed. “I’ll go grab them for you. You finish with Leo, Isaiah, I’ll be right back.”

She slipped out the door, then Isaiah turned to Leo. “Alright, let’s get to work.” He peered at Leo’s face. “I can’t believe how good your skin already is.”

Leo blushed. He thought about his acne scars on his cheek and jaw. “Really?”

“Yeah,” Isaiah said. “You moisturize really well, which is the most important thing.” He brushed his fingers on Leo’s jaw. “I know you’ve got blemishes here, but considering you spend your days with a mask over your sweaty face, your skin is fantastic. Your scars don’t seem irritated- they should heal, and your pores are still pretty clear.” He raised his eyebrows at Logan. “Unlike Mr. Blackheads over there.”

That made Leo laugh. “I’m working on it. They were both frat boys; skin care isn’t their forte.”

Isaiah looked amused. “Frat boys? Didn’t know they came in the polyamorous variety.”

Leo shrugged. “Me neither.” He roved his eyes over Finn and Logan’s bodies. “Got lucky I guess.”

Isaiah smiled. “Alright, loverboy. Close your eyes.”

The mask was cool against his face as Isaiah applied it in smooth strokes with his plastic spatula. It relaxed him against the seat, along with the cool air and the soft music of the room. If he listened close enough, he could hear Logan and Finn breathing beside him.

A knock sounded at the door, then Marcy walked in carrying a tray. “Order up.”

Leo watched amusedly as Logan straightened and held out his hand when Marcy instructed him to. His drink was indeed in a tall glass and looked like a sunset, yellow liquid fading into orange, then pink. There were bits of fruit floating in it. He took a sip, nodding approvingly. “Ouais,” he sighed. He then relaxed back into the chair, cucumber eyes and all, straw resting in his mouth. “Ouais. Merci.”

They all laughed, Finn and Leo saying a polite thanks when they were given their tea. Leo took a sip, letting the thick, sugary taste settle over his tongue before leaning back to let Isaiah place cucumbers over his eyes.

“Twenty for the mask and the cukes, okay? We’ll leave you for a bit.”

“Thank you,” Leo said, then the click of the door left them just with each other.

They laid in silence for a while, each basking in the relaxation. Every now and then Logan would let out a happy little sound as he sipped his tea. After a few minutes, Leo felt Finn’s long, dexterous fingers take his own.

“Thanks for taking us, Le, baby,” he said softly with a squeeze to Leo’s hand. “You’re so sweet.”

Leo squeezed back. “Thanks for going along with it.” He fiddled with Finn’s fingers some more. “I didn’t know if you’d like it or not.”

“Non,” Logan sighed. “I love it.”

Finn scoffed. “Of course you would, you absolutely pampered baby. You get massages at home, too!”

Leo could imagine Logan’s smirk. “Ouais. I bat my eyelashes and you give me anything I want.”

Finn scoffed again, but didn’t protest.

Leo tugged at him gently. “I love you, sweethearts.”

“Je t’aime.”

“Love you, lovers.” There was the thud of Finn’s head falling against his seat. “You know, this skincare thing isn’t so bad. Might have to do face mask date nights at home.”

That got a laugh out of Leo. “Whatever you want, honey.”

They were interrupted by another knock on the door and it creaking open. “We all set here, boys?”

“Come in!” Leo called.

Two pairs of footsteps sounded, then some running water. There was a deep sigh from Isaiah. “Alright, Mr. Blackheads. Let’s see how we did.”

Leo took the cucumbers off his eyes to watch Marcy and Isaiah wash off his boys’ masks and apply some moisturizer, Isaiah with a pointed look at Logan and some containers.

“A sample of the mask and the cream,” he said. “My parting gift to you.”

Logan smiled sheepishly. “Merci.”

Finally, Marcy washed off Leo’s own mask and applied some moisturizer, peering at his skin. “You want a sample of the mask, too? I think it’ll help the scarring reduce quicker, especially since you’ve already taken such good care of your skin.”

Leo nodded and accepted the small container with a blush. “Thank you.”

Finn leaned over and kissed his cheek. “Pretty baby.” He flopped dramatically against his chair. “I don’t wanna leave.” He pouted. “Can we come back?”

Marcy laughed. “We’ll happily let you blow your NHL salary on us.” She walked towards the door. “You can change into your clothes and then pay at reception on the way out!”

They thanked them both, then went to the changing room to put their clothes on. Finn took one look at them and whistled lowly. “You two are glowing. Got my own shiny Greek god statues.”

Leo looked down at himself. He supposed the massage lotion had made him pretty shiny. When he caught Finn's eye again, he was staring. “Harz,” Leo laughed.

“Mm?” Finn was not really paying attention.

“Eyes up here, sweetheart.”

“But I don't want to look at your eyes.”

Logan laughed, shucking off his robe completely. “Rouge. Time to change.”

When Finn turned to Logan, he raised his eyebrows higher. He focused in on Logan's pecs. “Would you be open to public indecency?”

Leo scoffed. “No way. I'm not sweating or washing all this moisturizer off. Gotta let it sit on the skin for a bit.”

Finn groaned, reaching for his shirt. “But how long?”

“Probably a good few hours, honey.”

That did not seem to help the situation. “No,” Finn whined. “I did not sign up for this. Peanut.”

Leo laughed as he pulled his jeans up, leaning to press a lingering kiss to the side of Finn's head. “You'll be okay, sweetheart. Just until, like, ten o'clock tonight, okay?”

Finn bonked his head against Leo's shoulder. “I'm setting an alarm,” he grunted  “You can't get out of Christmas break sex.”

“Wouldn't dream of it, mon coeur “ Logan said with a brief kiss to Finn's cheek. “D'accord, let's go. Want to go to the Sunstone for dinner?”

“Hey, this is my date I'm taking you on,” Leo pouted.

Logan looked over his shoulder with a smirk as he opened the door. “I didn't say I would be paying. Allez.”

They walked out to the reception desk, Leo pulling out his credit card. Izzy smiled at him and she pulled his charge up on the computer. “Did you have fun?”

Leo nodded. “Absolutely. Y'all might have tricked them into skincare.”

She laughed. “Yeah, that tends to be a theme with most men.” She took his card and swiped it, handing it back with a flourish. “You're all set!”

“Thank you,” Leo said, placing some bills on the counter. “Seriously, it was really good. I'll leave these for you guys.”

Izzy smiled. “You're a real gentleman, Mr. Knut.”

He smiled back. “It's my southern disposition. Now,” he sighed, turning back to Logan and Finn, who were thumb wrestling. “I think my two knuckleheads are hungry.”

“Have a good night, boys!”

“Thank you!” Logan and Finn called back, jostling each other on the way to the car, attempting to continue thumb wrestling while they walked. A particularly hard movement from Logan sent Finn slipping on the ice.

“Woah!”

Leo caught him around the waist and hauled him to the passenger side. “Jesus, you two are walking hazards wherever you go.”

“Hey, that's not me. That's my loser brother.”

Leo just kissed him briefly. “In the car, please. I'm hungry for steak.”

“Ouais,” Logan said, opening the back door on Finn's side. He took Leo's hand. “Merci, soleil. I had a lot of fun.”

Logan's smile was so lovely that Leo had to kiss him, too. “I really love you.” He looked between them. “I love to date you, too.”

Finn's gaze was soft. “Good,” he whispered. “I think I want to date you a long time.”

Leo bit his lip around his own smile. “Yeah?”

“Yeah.” Finn looked to Logan. “How's that sound, Lo, baby?”

Logan fell against Leo's chest, arms around his waist. “C'est bien.” He sighed, nuzzling into Leo's jacket. “C'est bien.”

Leo kissed his head. “Let's go, sweethearts.” He walked around the car to climb in the driver's side. “Dinner awaits us.”

“Make sure you eat up,” Finn said. Leo saw his smirk out of the corner of his eye as he backed the car up. “You'll need lots of energy starting at ten o'clock. Perfect end to a date, in my opinion. Perfect end to a day.”

Leo caught Logan's eye in the rearview mirror. Logan was looking back, eyes soft and lovingly exasperated in the way Finn could only make him.

“Yeah,” Leo said, smiling. “Perfect end to a day.”

Hi! I just discovered your blog this week as I've been desperate for any O'Knutzy content I can find. I love your writing! I am swiftly making my way through your masterlist. I'm just wondering do you post your works onto AO3? Or just Tumblr? Have a good day :) ❤️💛💚

Hi there!

Aw, I'm so glad you found my blog and that you enjoy it! That makes me so happy.

I just post my works here, not on AO3 (that is kinda the BIG LEAGUES, and I prefer the Little League, haha). I tend to post every 3-5 days and my request box is ALWAYS open. I started this blog just on my own ideas, but one person sent me a writing prompt and I LOVED IT SO MUCH that that's pretty much what I do now. You send me headcanons and I bring them to life to the best of my availability! It sometimes takes me a while (between 2-4 weeks) to answer each ask, unless I decide to go out of order for some reason (sometimes people have bad days and request a prompt, so I try to get those ones done ASAP so they hopefully feel a bit better!). People send them anonymously or not, it's entirely up to you. :)

All-in-all, it's just a pretty chill little blog and allows me to do something creative with my free time!

I hope you have a good day, too!

One of ur asks by an anon said something like “Leo’s always the comforter” and I agree but it’s because he’s SO GOOD AT COMFORTING!! He’s so perceptive and caring and SO SO SWEET HE ALWAYS KNOWS WHAT TO SAY!!! so can we get some instances of Leo being the perfect boyfriend/husband to his boys?? They deserve it so much !(just like he deserves them!)

- sincerely the captain of the “LEO KNUT IS A *PERFECT* ANGEL” ship

I am SO glad for this ask, because I've had this idea in my head for a while that Finn LOVES forever, but he doesn't know if his boys are as enthusiastic as him, if that makes sense? Like, he is so obsessed with them, and becomes more obsessed with them each day, like he's stuck in this eternal honeymoon phase, and he's worried that they don't feel as fiercely as he does. He knows they love him, OBVIOUSLY, and that they always will, but he's worried this passion that he feels isn't reciprocated and that his boys won't be satisfied emotionally, physically, and mentally in the way he knows he will always be.

And who better to comfort him than a little (tall) ray of sunshine (Logan is there, too, duh, but he's a sleepy head who hasn't had coffee, so he's not much help for a few minutes, haha!)?

So after a REALLY long introduction, have some conflicted Harzy and a fondly exasperated nutter butter (and a tired grumpy Tremz). :)

TW: mentions of nefarious activities and HEALTHY DISCUSSION about them, but nothing explicit, as per!

P.S. Anon, you're SO FUNNY for the "leo is a ____ angel" hashtag shout out, haha! I try and do a different one each post. I think I've done it for all but two or three, and it's so fun to think of them!

“Le, are you bored?”

Leo looked up from his, frankly perfect, hangover breakfast, to look Finn in the eye. “Huh?”

“Like, are you- I don’t know, bored of this?”

Leo took another bit of his pancake and a piece of bacon. “Of what, sweetheart?”

There was a brief silence in which Finn bit the inside of his cheek nervously. “Us?”

“Woah.” Leo’s fork clattered against his plate. He spun in his high top chair to face Finn directly and take his hands. “Woah, honey, no. Where is this coming from?”

Finn let out a nervous breath and looked down into his lap. “When you- yesterday, at the festival, during the Wallows set…” He shrugged. “I don’t know, you just sang that one song really loud? With Regulus?”

“‘Cause it’s a good song honey. And Reg loves that band.”

Finn nodded. “I know. I know, but it just got me thinking…” He looked up at Leo through his lashes with worried brown eyes. “Are you bored? In this relationship?” His breath hitched. “I don’t want you to be bored.”

Despite himself, Leo smiled. “Oh, honey no.” He drew Finn into a hug. “No, Finn, of course I’m not bored. That’s not possible with you around.” He kissed the side of Finn’s head. “Did you think that I was?”

Finn shrugged. “I don’t know. You just sang the song really excitedly.”

Leo laughed. “‘Cause it’s a good song, honey, like I said. I really liked it in high school.”

“Yeah, but- you’d tell me if you’re bored, right, peanut?”

“Oh, you’re so sweet.” Leo pulled back to hold Finn’s face in his hands. His cheeks were a little wet under Leo’s lips when he kissed them. “Of course I would, baby, but I’m telling you, that’s not gonna happen.” He smiled gently. “You’re really worried about this, aren’t you?”

Finn nodded, his mouth forming a little pout. “Yeah.” He looked at Leo’s face for a moment, his fingers twitching on Leo’s back. “And you don’t- you don’t get bored during sex, do you?”

Leo laughed, tucking Finn’s face into his neck once more. “Oh, baby.”

“It’s not funny!”

“No, no, it’s not, sweetheart, I’m sorry.” Leo bit his lip against a grin as Finn let out another wet sound into his neck. “Finn, baby, I promise I don’t get bored. You’re so good to me.”

“Yeah?”

“Of course.” He squeezed Finn tighter. “You make me feel so good, baby, every time.” He turned his head to whisper in Finn’s ear. “And if something doesn’t feel so good, or we don’t want something, we talk and we change it up. Or we try something new. You know Lo and I are especially partial to that vibrator you got us.”

Finn laughed wetly into his neck and pressed into Leo harder. “Yeah, you are.” He let out a sigh. “It’s just- we haven’t had sex in a while.”

Leo snorted. “Like, five days, sweetheart.”

“But that’s a long time.”

“Eternity.”

Finn pinched his side and sighed. “I just want to make sure everything’s okay.”

Leo felt himself soften. “Yeah, baby, it’s okay. We were just really busy this week, I think, with your students’ exams, and Lo and I starting summer training and deep cleaning the apartment. And then we had the festival the past few days, and now we’re all hungover. It just happens, sometimes.”

“It’s still too long.”

“I agree,” Leo placated, cupping the back of Finn’s head gently. “Way too long.” After a moment of silence, Leo kissed Finn’s shoulder. “Tell you what, sweetheart. Let’s eat and go for a walk, let ourselves work off this hangover, then we’ll spend the next few days just doing nothing but being together, okay? I’ll take you both to that nice steak restaurant you like tonight, then we’ll come back here and see how we feel. And if we want to have sex, we have sex, and if we don’t, we don’t.” He grinned against Finn’s jaw and bit it. “But I have a feeling it’ll be the former.”

Finn laughed and nodded, pulling back to wipe his flushed cheeks. “Yeah, me, too.” He leaned forward and kissed Leo gently, then took his hands and kissed his rings. “Thank you, Le, baby. I’m sorry I was so worried.”

Leo shook his head. “Don’t be, sweetheart, it’s okay. Lo and I are so lucky to have a husband who cares about our pleasure so much.” He squeezed Finn’s fingers and touched their temples together. “But you don’t have to worry, Finn. We’ll be old and gray and still want you.”

Finn kissed him quickly. “Promise?”

“Promise.” Leo kissed him once, twice, three more times before pulling back and turning towards his plate. “Now, eat your breakfast, c’mon. Lo will wake up soon, then we can get ready and go for our walk.”

Finn nodded. “Okay.” He bumped his head against Leo’s shoulder. “I love you.”

Leo kissed the top of his head. “I love you, too.”

From behind them, there were footsteps, and a few seconds later Leo felt two arms come and wrap around his shoulders. A head bumped into the back of his neck with a groan. “Café.”

Leo smiled and turned to kiss Logan’s forehead. “In the coffee maker, sweetheart. I put your plate in the oven to keep it warm.”

“Merci.” Logan came around to kiss Leo slowly, then Finn, slumping into his side with another groan. “Ça va?”

“Yeah.” Finn rested their heads together and wrapped an arm around Logan’s waist. He looked up at Leo. “Love you.”

“Mm, je t’aime.” Logan stretched and went to go pour his coffee and get his plate. “What are we doing today?”

“Each other, hopefully.” Leo jumped when Logan accidentally slammed the oven door shut with a bang then straightened, blinking hard. He laughed at him. “Just kidding. Well, kind of.” Leo settled a hand on Finn’s thigh and rubbed. “It’s just been a while. We were thinking of going for a walk today, then I’ll take you out for dinner at the nice steak place. Sound good?”

“Ouais,” Logan nodded. He was still flicking his eyes between them. “But what about-?”

Leo winked. “That can happen after if you want.”

Logan moved his head more rapidly now. “Ouais, I want.” He sighed and walked around the counter again to set his plate down, then practically fell against Leo’s side. “It’s been forever. I want you.”

Leo shook his head fondly. “You’re so dramatic.” He kissed Logan’s cheek and patted his hip firmly. “C’mon, sweetheart, go sit and eat. We’ve got a long day ahead of us.”

Logan sighed and went to sit on Finn’s other side, moaning when he took a bite of pancake and eggs. “Délicieux.”

Leo smiled at Logan for a moment before looking at Finn. “Good?”

Finn nodded, a small smile on his face. “Good. I’m good.” He considered for a second before kissing Leo’s shoulder. “Are you good?”

Leo nodded. “I’m so good, baby. I’m so good.”

“Good.”

“What is going on?”

Leo and Finn turned to look at Logan, who was shoveling food in his mouth so fast that Leo was certain he wasn’t even chewing. They laughed and Finn nudged him. “We’ll get some food in you first and tell you.”

“Mm, ouais.” Logan swallowed and looked up at them. “Are you sure we can’t have sex before our walk and after dinner?”

Leo grinned mischievously. He looked at Finn, winked, then stood and began to walk towards the bathroom. “You know, I think a shower is just what I need right now.”

There was a curse from them both as they both tried to finish eating. Leo had just pulled his shirt off when forks were clinking and there was the sound of plates being put in the sink. He smiled to himself and turned the shower on.

“Boys, I’m getting in!”

And at the sound of thudding footsteps, Leo felt his chest warm and turned his face up to the spray, yearning for the moment where he felt their skin on his.

No, he thought to himself. No, he’d never get bored of this.
