I LOVE SLIDE AND I LOVE LEO AND LEO WOTH A GUITAR???? YOURE GENIUS!!! IF YOU EVER TURN THIS INTO A FIC IM FIRST IN LINE

Get in line then, it seems! This is in response to some headcannons I wrote a while ago (you can find them linked on my Masterlist), which I LOVE doing, they're so fun! So enjoy Leo being a guitar legend and some SW/Vaincre gang in a band! They're super rock n' roll. 🤘

Oh, and have some FinnLo in the audience being OBSESSED that their sunshine is a musician! :)

“Le, did you get the extra cables for tonight?”

“Yup,” Leo said to Cassie, typing quickly on his computer. His political philosophy paper wasn’t going to write itself. “In my backpack.”

“Cool, great. And the extra amp, how are we getting that there?”

“Amanda’s girlfriend is bringing it in her car.”

“‘Kay, cool. Cool, cool, cool.”

Leo grinned, swiveling in his chair and looking at Cassie with raised eyebrows. “You’re stressed.”

“Well, obviously,” she hissed. “This is our biggest gig yet.”

“And you’re sure it has nothing to do with a certain person being there?”

She rolled her eyes, but was blushing. “Percy Marshall has free will. He can come if he wants. I didn’t even invite him, Finn did.”

Leo winced. “Yeah, sorry. He likes to meddle.”

“Yes, he does.” She tapped her pen against her notebook repeatedly. “Also, it doesn’t matter if Percy is there or not. I sing because I like it. And I’m good.”

“So good.”

“Right?”

“Are you asking me, or telling me?”

Cassie groaned, thumping her head on the table. Her blonde waves fell in a curtain around her head. “I don’t know.”

“Well, figure it out. And study for your Calc exam, you don’t want to have to take it again next year.”

“Why the hell does a journalism major have to take math anyways?!”

“Your voice is going high,” Leo pointed out, turning back to his essay.

She narrowed her eyes at him. “I’m stressed.”

“Still, I’d prefer not to lose my hearing at twenty-one. Go, do math, please.”

Cassie kicked his foot gently under the table, but she was smiling.

“How we feeling?”

Leo and Amanda looked up from where they were tuning their guitars to find Layla’s smiling face. She was fiddling with her drumsticks.

“Good,” Leo said. “Almost done. Has Cole tuned his bass yet?”

She rolled her eyes. “No. He’s still drinking his pre-gig tea. And Thomas came backstage to talk, so they’re distracting each other.”

Amanda snorted. “Well, then we might be down a bassist tonight.”

“I’ll go find him,” Layla laughed, then she was walking away, her long twists swishing behind her.

Leo plucked his final string, watching the light on his electric tuner turn green. “‘Kay,” he said. “I’m all set.”

“Me, too.” Amanda unclipped her strap and set her guitar in its stand. “I’m gonna go say goodbye to Aadhya, I’ll be right back!”

Leo made kissing sounds as she jogged to the little back room where their stuff was, laughing when she flipped him off. He hummed to himself as he plucked out a few chords. Even after performing with the band for almost two years, he still got nervous he would forget something on stage. A quick review was necessary. He was just running through their opening number when his eyes were covered by two hands.

“Guess who?”

Leo smiled. “Hi, sweetheart.”

“Hi,” Finn said happily, uncovering his hands and bouncing in front of Leo, Logan following. “How are you?”

“Good,” Leo said, slipping his guitar strap over his head and setting the instrument in its stand.

Logan reached out and thumbed the bottom of Leo’s tank top. “Feel ready?”

Leo smiled. “Yeah. Little nervous.”

“You’ll be so good,” Finn said. He draped his arms loosely around Leo’s shoulders. “There are so many people out there waiting to see you.”

Logan laughed. “Rouge, I don’t think that’s helping.”

“But they’re his fans!” Finn scratched absentmindedly at the back of Leo’s scalp. “We’re your biggest fans, though.”

“I don’t know,” Leo teased with a smile. “My mama might have you beat on that one.”

“I’ll fight her for the honor.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “No you will not,” he chastised gently. “But you will give me a good luck kiss.”

He didn’t even have time before Finn’s smile was kissing his own in happy bursts. “I love you, I love you, good luck, peanut butter sunshine baby.”

Logan was there, too, pressed against their sides. He cupped Leo’s waist with his hand gently and tilted his head up for a kiss of his own. “You’ll be amazing, soleil.” He ran his hand appreciatively up Leo’s arm. “You look very sexy.”

“Yes, very,” Finn agreed. “We’re lucky boys, that’s for sure.”

“Okay,” Leo laughed. “We go on soon, so I need to go.” He kissed them each quickly and squeezed their hands. “I love you.”

“Je t’aime.”

“Love you!”

Leo blew them a kiss as he walked into the backstage room. Thomas was on his way out and held his fist out for Leo to bump. “Kick ass, man.”

Leo slapped his back. “Thanks, Talky.” He closed the door behind Thomas and smiled at his bandmates. “Feeling good?”

Cole nodded. “Feeling good.”

“Good.” Leo went over and sat by Cassie on the couch, throwing an arm over her shoulders. “How are you?”

She sighed, resting her head on Leo’s shoulder. “I’m okay. All warmed up.”

“You’ll be amazing.”

“Mm.” She shifted closer, then looked up at him. “Would your boyfriends be jealous if they saw us right now?”

Leo laughed. “Oh, definitely. Finn’s ears would be bright red, and Logan would be staring at you so hard.” He rested their temples together. “But I won’t tell them.”

“Thanks.” She looked around the room at everyone else watching her carefully. “I’ll be fine, guys, really.”

Layla nodded. “We know. You get on stage and you’re fine, just- I don’t know, I think we’re all a little nervous.”

“Right?” Amanda laughed nervously. “I mean, fuck, this place is huge!”

Cole was staring off into space with wide eyes. “I’m absolutely shitting myself.”

They all looked at each other for a moment, silent, then burst out into laughter. Cassie’s body shook against Leo’s shoulder, and Layla was doubled up over her knees across from him. Amanda and Cole were falling over each other on the other couch. Leo felt the anxiety of the moment slip away a little and he bit his lip around a smile.

“Oh, fuck me, we’re crazy,” Amanda laughed.

Leo felt a buzz in his back pocket, and unwound his arm from Cassie’s shoulders to take out his phone while the others continued laughing around him. His lock screen lit up with a notification. He took a minute to smile at the photo. It was of himself, Logan, and Finn around a campfire from the fall, bundled up in sweatshirts and sweatpants. Logan was sitting sideways on Leo’s lap in a camp chair and Finn had both his arms draped over Leo’s shoulders from behind, pressing their cheeks together and smiling. Leo ran his thumb over it fondly before unlocking his phone and opening up his texts.

Finn had sent him a photo of the stage, and then a photo of Logan flipping him off, a cup held to his mouth. Here’s where we are, sunshine, the text read. Love you x A GAZILLION ur so sexy and talented and hot and pretty and we love you mwah mwah MWAH <33333333333

Leo snorted out loud, shaking his head fondly. <3 you both, you can come backstage after.

Cassie not-so-subtley peeked over his shoulder. “Oo-oo, Leo’s got some admirers!”

He blushed and nudged her. “Shut up.”

“Seriously,” Cole said. “You three are always just like…” He widened his eyes and smiled goofily, fluttering his eyelashes.

“No we are not.”

“Yeah-huh,” Amanda said.

“Fine.” Leo sighed, dropping his head back. He feigned exasperation, but really his stomach was fluttering. “Yes, we’re sickeningly in love, all right?”

Layla snorted. “Yes, you are.” She clapped her hands. “And it’s five-to, so we gotta go.”

They all grabbed their water and walked back to get their instruments. Leo peeked around the wooden panels on the side of the stage that blocked them from the view of the audience as he adjusted his guitar strap.

“You find them?” asked Cole from behind him.

“I’m looking,” Leo said. His eyes scanned the crowd, looking for a shock of red hair or the slope of Logan’s broad back.

“There,” Cole said. “With our other friends.”

Leo followed Cole’s finger to where it was pointing and smiled. Sure enough, there were Finn and Logan, talking with Hannah, a friend of Finn’s from his freshman year, and Sirius, who had bonded with Logan the year before because they were both from Quebec. Finn had a drink in one hand and another secure around Logan’s waist, pulling him flush to his own body. Logan was quiet, as he usually was, and was listening to Finn so closely and intently his nose was almost brushing Finn’s cheek. Finn took notice and kissed him quickly before going back to whatever he had been talking about.

“You see ‘em?” Cole asked.

Leo nodded. “Yeah. I do.”

Cole snorted and slapped his back. “C’mon, lover boy, it’s show time.”

Leo grinned quietly to himself as the lights went up and they followed Cassie out onto the stage.

***

Leo strummed the last chord of their song, With You, letting his sound ring before silencing his guitar with his palm. There was a brief silence, then the crowd was applauding and cheering. Cassie, smiling broadly as always, thanked them with a nod and a laugh as she set her microphone in its stand.

“I’m glad you liked that one,” she said, fiddling with the mic chord. “We do, too.” She flipped her long blonde hair over her shoulder and turned to Leo. Good? she mouthed.

Leo nodded, running the cable connecting his guitar to the amp through his hands to stretch it out.

“Okay,” he heard Cassie say. “I’m going to take a step back for a minute. We’re gonna play a cover for you, one of our favorites, and Mr. Leo Knut here is gonna sing lead for us.” She scrunched her nose teasingly at him. “He’s very good.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully as they switched spots, Amanda going to pick up her acoustic guitar. Cassie stopped him with a hand on his bicep. “Good?”

Leo nodded with a smile. “Yeah.”

She smiled. “You’ll be great.”

He smiled back, nudging their arms. “Thanks, Cass.” He stepped up to the mic, raising just a bit. “Hey, y’all, how ya doin’?” He winced inwardly- his accent always came out stronger when he was onstage, but people didn’t seem to mind. There was some applause and cheers, and a loud whoop! that Leo would bet all his money on came from Finn. He grinned, squinting against the lights shining on the stage. He fiddled with the neck of his guitar. “Good. Hey, look, we’re gonna do a little cover for you. This song is one of my favorites.”

He flashed his eyes around the crowd until they landed on his boyfriends, the both of them smiling up at him. Logan was slumped back against Finn’s chest, Finn’s arms tight around his waist. Finn winked at him and Leo felt this face warm.

Leo realized he had spaced out for a few seconds and cleared his throat. “Um, so,” he said, strumming once on his instrument. “Yeah, I like this one a lot. Reminds me of some people very dear to me.” He turned to look behind him. “Ready?”

His bandmates nodded, and then they were off.

Leo opened it with the guitar riff, now familiar under his fingers after so many run-throughs. He bobbed his head to the beat and took a deep breath just as Cole and Amanda joined him.

Could you whisper in my ear

The things you wanna feel?

I’d give you anything

To feel it comin’

Do you wake up on your own

And wonder where you are?

You live with all your faults

Leo smiled, eyes flashing to the neck of his guitar as he plucked out the shortened transition riff, feeling the sound of Cassie’s tambourine and Layla’s soft cymbal shake through his chest. He glanced out at the crowd and moved closer to the mic.

I wanna wake up where you are

I won’t say anything at all

So why don’t you slide?

Leo rocked his body faster, grinning at the rhythm of his and Amanda’s strumming.

Yeah, I’m gonna let it slide

The crowd was lively now. Lots of people were swaying and singing along, a few even dancing with their friends or partners. It energized Leo, touched something so deep in his bones he felt like his body was thrumming. He bounced a little as he strummed, closing his eyes as he started the next verse, Cassie’s harmonies mixing with his own voice.

Don’t you love the life you killed?

The priest is on the phone

Your father hit the wall

Your ma’ disowned you

Don’t supposed I’ll ever know

What it means to be a man

It’s something I can’t change

I’ll live around it

I wanna wake up where you are.

I won’t say anything at all.

So why don’t you slide?

Oo, slide

Leo loved this part of the song. The way the strumming picked up, the way it made him feel light and giddy as he sang it. He caught Cassie’s eye and smiled. She was slapping the tambourine on her hands and tapping her toe, her long, golden hair shaking with the movement of her body. Amanda and her were back to back now and laughing; on his other side, Leo could see Cole shaking his head and smiling goofily at Layla in the back.

And I’ll do anything you ever dreamed to be complete

Little pieces of the nothing that fall.

He turned towards the crowd again. He had to find them, quickly, had to catch their eye to sing the next bit, like he always did.

They were already looking back at him when he caught their gazes. Finn was swaying Logan gently and singing along to the lyrics. It reminded Leo of all the times he’d seen lovers at music festivals, hands on each other’s hips, casually touching in a way that said, I’m here. I’m here with you, and I love you.

Leo blushed and looked out at them through his lashes with a grin, holding their gaze as he continued.

Oh, May

Put your arms around me

What you feel is what you are

And what you are is beautiful

Oh, May

Do you wanna get married?

Or run away?

They broke off into a brief instrumental interlude, and Leo broke his gaze to look at his guitar neck, shifting his fingers accordingly. Sometimes, looking at them was too much. Sometimes, he didn’t know what to do when they smiled at him like they had just then, so full of adoration and joy.

The instrumental part was finishing up again and Leo was catching their eyes once more.

And I’ll do anything you ever dreamed to be complete

Little pieces of the nothing that fall

Oh, May

Put your arms around me

What you feel is what you are

And what you are is beautiful

Oh, May

Do you wanna get married?

Or run away?

Leo scrunched his nose at Logan and Finn in a smile, their expressions mimicking his.

I wanna wake up where you are

And I won’t say anything

There was the sound of Layla’s drum fill, and then they were all bouncing. Leo angled his head to Cassie and bopped along with her.

And I’ll do anything you ever dreamed to be complete

Little piece of the nothin’ that fall

And I’ll do anythin’ you ever dreamed to be complete

Little pieces of the nothing that fall

Leo felt his chest heaving as he looked at the other people around the room. They were looking at him, trying to catch his eye, and smiling. But he really didn’t care much about them at that moment, if he was being honest with himself. He moved closer to the mic as the instruments crescendoed and grinned, locking eyes with Finn and Logan’s happy faces one final time.

Yeah, slide between the sheets of all them beds you never knew

Why don’t you slide into my room?

Just slide into my room

Oh, we’ll run away, run away, run away

Leo tore his eyes away only to look at his guitar as he played the closing rift through, his fingers shaking slightly with the adrenaline. He took a deep breath as they all let their instruments ring out a bit. As always, there was silence, then applause. Cassie was beside him in a moment, grabbing his arm and shaking it excitedly.

“You kicked ass!”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully and bumped their foreheads together. “So did you. That one’s always fun.”

She flashed her eyes to the crowd, grin widening, then looked back at Leo. “Your lovers are staring.”

Leo blushed but turned to look. And sure enough, in the crowded room, dark and dusty and probably smelling of sweat and beer, two sets of twinkling eyes were looking at him, smiles so wide almost all their teeth were showing. Logan raised his fingers in a wave and Finn blew him a kiss. Love you.

Leo bit his lip around a smile and let out a quiet, giddy laugh. Love you.

Then he gave Cassie one more pat on the shoulder and went back to his place to finish the set.

***

Leo wiped the sweat off his face with the bottom of his tank top, bristling a bit as some of the saltiness got in his eyes. They all set their instruments in their stands backstage to be put away in a few minutes and hurried to the dressing room. There was a window that Cole immediately threw open, and then Layla was handing them all water bottles from a cooler.

“Drink up,” she said. “Before you go to the bar, please.”

“Thanks,” Leo panted. He cracked it open and downed half in one go, then fell against the couch and placed the cool plastic on his forehead. The condensation was a little uncomfortable, but he was too hot to care. The others were chatting around him, and there was the sound of the door opening and closing as people came and went, fussing with cables and amps. Aadhya slapped his leg in a job well done and he stuck his thumb up.

“Gimme a minute,” he said. “I’ll help.”

“Nope,” she said. “Percy, Thomas, and I have got it. You all just sit for a minute, okay? You’re dehydrated.”

Leo didn’t really have it in himself to protest. “‘Kay. Thanks.”

She nodded and went back to putting away Amanda’s guitars.

Leo closed his eyes once more and let out a deep breath through his mouth. Performing was a joy and an adrenaline boost, but the period after was stressful sometimes. Their bodies and brains were exhausted; a few moments of relaxation and quiet was necessary.

Suddenly, he felt two palms rub the outside of his thighs and a soft voice. “Soleil.”

Leo opened his eyes slowly to meet Logan’s loving green ones. He smiled up at him. “Salut.”

“Salut, chérie.” The French was warm and comforting, like Leo was being wrapped in a blanket. Logan bent to kiss his mouth softly. “You did so well.”

“Merci,” Leo said. He set the water bottle beside him then wrapped his hands around the backs of Logan’s thighs. “Hey, c’mere.” When Logan was seated on his lap, knees digging into the soft cushions around them, Leo leaned up to kiss him a little harder. “Thank you for coming.”

“Oui, of course we did. Finn’s helping put stuff away.” Logan picked up the water bottle and pressed it back to Leo’s forehead. “Es-tu chaud, mon coeur?”

Leo nodded. “Ouais, a little.” He winced as Logan kissed his temple. “Sorry, I’m all sweaty.”

Logan grinned and pressed another soft kiss to his mouth. “Non, I like you sweaty.”

Leo smiled against his mouth and stole another kiss. “I love you. I’m so happy you both are here.”

Logan set the water bottle aside and tenderly cupped Leo’s face in his hands. “We love you so much, peanut.”

They smiled at each other for a moment before a freckled face appeared above Logan’s shoulder. “‘Sup, lovers?” Finn asked, kissing Logan’s cheek then leaning down to peck Leo on the lips. “How are you, baby?”

“Tired,” Leo sighed. “Hot.”

“Yeah you are.” Finn put Leo's guitar case down, flopped beside him on the couch, and threw one arm around his shoulders, his other hand resting on Leo’s thigh. “Hey, I have an idea.”

Leo rested his head on Finn’s shoulder. “Hm?”

“How about we run away and get married?”

Leo tisked and raised his head. Finn’s grin was mischievous, and Leo just rolled his eyes fondly. “Shut up.”

“No, no, let’s go. Right now.” He bent to whisper in Leo’s ear. “And if you’re lucky, we’ll both slide into your room.”

“That’s it,” Leo said, sitting up and moving to stand. “I’m getting new boyfriends.”

“Non,” Logan demanded firmly. He let his weight go heavier on Leo’s lap and laced a hand through his hair possessively. “Non, you’re not.”

“Kidding.” Leo placated Logan with a kiss then fell back into the cushions, slumped down and leaning into Finn’s side. “But I don’t just sing those lyrics to you for no reason, you know.”

“We know, sunshine.” Finn nosed at Leo’s hair and kissed his temple.

“It’s because I love you very much.”

“And we love you, baby.” Finn reached out to play with Logan’s fingers. “But- we are getting married, right? Maybe not the ‘running away’ thing, because my parents and brother would kill me, but… marriage?”

Leo turned to brush their noses together and nodded. “If that’s what you want, then I want it. Lo?”

“Of course I do,” Logan answered. He brought their left hands to his mouth and kissed their ring fingers. He then peeked out through his lashes and winked. “And I’d also like to slide into your bed.”

“Oh my God, this isn’t funny anymore!” Leo exclaimed, bouncing his legs up and down to jostle Logan. He laughed and looked up at him. “I am trying to be romantic, stop being weird about it.”

Logan pressed their smiles together in a slow kiss. “It’s very romantic, mon soleil,” he whispered. “We love it.”

“Yeah, we do, baby. You’re so sweet.” Finn kissed his cheek and bit his jaw. “Sweet enough to eat.”

“Oh-kay, lovebirds!” Cassie sing-songed. Leo looked around Logan’s body to find her standing across the room with Layla, the both of them waggling their eyebrows exaggeratedly. Percy was behind her with her purse, his face flushed nervously. Cassie jerked her head. “C’mon, time to celebrate. We can leave our stuff here.”

“Damn right,” Leo said. “I need a fuckin’ drink.”

“Mm, your accent always sounds stronger when you’re tired,” Finn murmured with a last kiss to his and Logan’s cheeks. He stood and held out his hands. “Let’s go, I’m buying.”

Logan and Leo took his hands and followed him out the door, the rest of Leo’s bandmates and a few of their friends behind them. Finn refused to stop holding their hands, even when passing through the narrow hallway, which made Cole let out a frustrated groan behind them. “Let’s move it! I would like a fruity drink!”

Layla rolled her eyes fondly. “You and your cocktails.”

“Hey, don’t mock me, babe, you always steal them anyways.”

Leo smiled and held Finn’s hand tightly until they got to the bar. Finn rapped his knuckles and put on his most charming smile. “A rum and coke, a dark n’ stormy, and a Jameson neat, please.”

A bartender with a thick braid running down her back smiled at Leo. “You guys were good.”

“Thanks,” he said sheepishly.

“Aw, don’t get so shy, butter baby,” Finn teased. He pinched Leo’s cheeks. “You deserve all the praise.”

Leo looked between him and Logan and leaned in. “Maybe you can slide in my bed and give me some tonight.”

Finn’s eyes darkened. Logan just looked a little dazed. “Promise?”

“Promise.” He kissed each of their stunned mouths quickly and grabbed his drink, smiling. “Now, c’mon, let’s go find a dark corner and make out.”

And with their laughter following him, Leo turned towards the crowd and let himself internalize the moment. The hands on his hips were warm and gentle and he smiled at the stage where he had just been. Maybe, he thought, it wouldn’t be so bad running away and getting married.

Not until he graduated though.

“Love you,” Finn whispered, resting his temple on the back of Leo’s neck.

Leo turned to kiss him, then drew Logan to his chest to kiss him, too. “I love you,” he whispered back. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”

Really really soft for the idea that Leo’s insomnia is so much better when he sleeps with Finn and Logan, that he is able to rest easier when with the loves of his life🥹 thinkin about him coming back from a visit to NOLA and being so exhausted because he struggles to sleep without them

Poor insomniac sunshine. :( It's all okay now, though, he's got two boyfriends who will happily rock him to sleep.

All credits to @lumosinlove !! <3

Logan woke up with a start, heart beating fast from a dream, taking a deep breath in the dark bedroom. He glanced at the clock. Two thirty in the morning.

He stretched, suddenly wide awake and alert, pushing his hands against the headboard. Finn was fast asleep beside him, rolled over on his other side but with their ankles tangled. Logan brushed a hand through his hair before raising himself on his forearm.

Logan didn't know why he was awake. He listened carefully, but there were no distinct or disruptive sounds that would have aroused him. He frowned. Normally, he wasn't awake in the middle of the night. The only time he did ever wake up was-

Oh.

He shifted quietly, careful not to wake Finn as he reached for his cell phone on their nightstand. The screen saver, a photo of the three of them on Leo's boat in New Orleans, shone back at him. He unlocked it and opened his messages.

You awake? he typed.

The response was almost immediate. Yes. How did you know?

Logan sighed, pressing a kiss to Finn's shoulder before pulling back the covers and heading to the living room. Leo picked up on the third ring.

“Hi.” His voice sounded tired, even through the phone.

“Salut, soleil,” Logan whispered. “Ça va?”

“How did you know?”

“I always know.” A beat of silence. “Can't sleep, mon coeur?”

Leo took a shaky breath. “No. I'm exhausted from the last few days, so I tried to go to bed at eight, but… here I am.”

Logan furrowed his brow. “And you haven't slept?”

“No,” Leo said. It sounded almost tearful. “Lo, I'm so tired.”

Logan's heart broke a little bit. Now that he and his cousins were all of legal drinking age, Leo went with them to the summer New Orleans Jazz Festival. They only bought tickets for two days, but Logan was sure that those two days involved a lot of late nights and probably some alcohol, if the slurry, loving voice mails Finn and Logan had received were anything to go by. Otherwise, they hadn't received much contact, Leo too wrapped up in the music and his family. Logan was glad Leo was having a good time, but he imagined it wasn't good for his sleep, which was already so difficult for him.

“Are you making tea? That usually helps.”

“Yeah,” Leo said. “I'm sat in bed with it right now.”

“Good.” Logan thumbed at Leo's golden chain that hung around his neck. He and Finn had been alternating wearing it. “Do you have my necklace?”

“Ouais, I'm holding the pendant right now.”

“I'm so sorry, mon soleil,” Logan sighed. “I'm so sorry it's so hard.”

“It's because I'm not with you,” Leo said in a rush. “It's because the bed is too empty, and you're not here to rub my back, and you're not here to kiss my forehead.” A shaky sigh. “I really miss you. I've had so much fun, and I love seeing my cousins and parents, but I miss you.”

“I miss you, too, Le. We both do.” Logan thought for a moment. “How about you lay down, mon coeur? I'll talk to you until you fall asleep. Tell you about our day.”

He could imagine Leo's nod and his sleepy blue eyes. “Okay. Thank you.” There was some rustling, and then the sound of a yawn. “I love you.”

Logan smiled softly. He wished Leo could see. “Je t'aime.” He let Leo get comfy, then started his story. “Fish and I saw a really cute dog today that reminded us of you…”

Later, after Logan ended the call when Leo's breathing had evened out for a good ten minutes, he snuck back into bed, pressing against Finn's body under the covers. Finn shifted, inhaling deeply before opening his eyes just a smidge. “You okay?”

Logan nodded against his shoulder. “Ouais. I called Leo. He couldn't sleep.”

Finn hummed, rubbing circles on Logan's back with his thumbs. “You called him?”

“Ouais,” Logan whispered. “I woke up suddenly, and realized it was because usually Leo wakes up around that time. So I texted him, and he was awake, so I called him.” He sighed heavily. “He's had trouble sleeping without us. He's so tired, rouge.”

“Well,” Finn said. “I can't say I like the feeling of an emptier bed without him here, either.” He pressed a kiss to Logan's temple. “Let's go back to sleep, baby. Leo comes home tomorrow evening.”

Logan nodded into his chest and took a deep breath. Finn's body was warm and comfortable, but Logan would be lying if he said his back didn't feel just a bit cold.

***

Leo's flight had been delayed, which Logan was not a fan of. He knew southern storms were sometimes unpredictable and sudden, but he was still angry that the heavy rains had prevented the arrival of his sunshine. They had plans to go to the Dumais’ for dinner, which Leo insisted they kept- Logan was also not a fan of that, but Leo assured him it'd be fine, and that he'd probably get in later anyways. He and Finn had enjoyed themselves as always, and seeing the kids was always nice, but Logan could feel his anxiety increasing with every bounce of his leg under the dinner table. Finn had spent the whole meal with a hand on Logan's thigh, but it did nothing to quell the movement.

Now, it was close to midnight, and still Leo had not gotten in. Logan and Finn had insisted he tell them when he'd landed so they could go pick him up, but he hadn't even taken off when they last texted him, the plane grounded until the rain passed, and that was hours ago. Now, Finn was sat on the living room couch with a book and Logan was pacing around the apartment.

“Do you think he's okay?” Logan asked.

Finn sighed, setting his book down and looking at Logan over his glasses. “I'm sure he's fine, Lo. These things just happen sometimes.”

Logan tapped his fingers against his chin. “Ouais, but we haven't heard from him in hours. He must have-”

But he was interrupted by the scratch of keys at the door. He straightened, rushing forward, and Finn sprung up from the couch. Logan could feel them both holding their breath.

The first thing that Logan noticed when Leo entered their apartment was the slouch of his shoulders, weighed down even though he had a rolling suitcase. Next was the purse of his lips, and finally-

“Oh, mon soleil,” Logan said. Leo looked up at him, and he walked forward to brush his thumbs on the skin under Leo's eyes, more puffy and purple than he'd ever seen it. “Mon coeur.”

Leo just ducked down, resting his full body weight in Logan's arms as he wrapped him in a hug. Logan squeezed him tightly, bracing his legs, and pressed kiss after kiss to the side of Leo's head. His back was rising and falling heavily under Logan’s palms with his breathing. Logan could feel his heart breaking again.

“Baby,” Finn said. Logan and Leo pulled back just enough to allow Finn into their arms. Finn cupped his jaw and pressed a soft kiss to his mouth. “You're so tired.”

Leo nodded, closing his eyes. “I slept, like, four hours last night. And then went to brunch with my parents and cousins, which was fine, but then my flight got delayed, then delayed again, and I figured you would be in bed, and I-” He bit his lip, eyes welling with exhausted tears. “And I can't sleep on planes, and I haven't slept much the past few days, and…”

Finn shushed him, tucking Leo's face into his neck with a palm resting against the back of his curls. “Sh, it's okay, baby. You're home now.”

“Why didn't you call us?” Logan asked. “We would've come to get you.”

Leo shrugged. “I didn't want to bother you. Figured you'd already be asleep.”

Logan kissed him. “Not without you.”

Leo nodded. “I'm sorry.”

Finn pressed his lips to Leo's cheek. “Don't be sorry, sweetheart.” He guided Leo's face to look at him. “How about you take a shower, okay? I'll set the AC to cold so you can huddle under the blankets like you like to do, then we'll snuggle and go to sleep. Sound good?”

“Yeah.” Leo's voice was defeated. “Thank you. I love you.”

“Je t'aime, mon coeur,” Logan said, resting his head on Leo's collarbone. “Allez, let's go shower.”

Logan took Leo to the bathroom while Finn set the AC, slipping Leo gently out of his clothes and kissing the new skin revealed reverently. He guided Leo underneath the spray. “Want to wash your hair?”

Leo shook his head. “Washed it yesterday.”

“D'accord.” Logan kissed his jaw. “Lean back for me.”

Careful not to get Leo's curls wet, Logan began to wash his body. Finn joined them, stepping behind Leo to hold him, only letting go to let Logan wash him, too. When they were all finished, clean and smelling like soap, Logan handed Leo his face creams and a toothbrush with paste on it.

“Allez, soleil,” he said. “Almost there, mon coeur.”

When Leo was finally done moisturizing and rinsing his mouth, Finn took him by the hips and urged him into their bedroom, pressing periodic kisses to his spine.

“Still the prettiest baby,” he said. “Even when you're tired.”

Leo hummed, smiling as Finn turned him and settled him on the bed. Logan and Finn climbed on either side of him, Finn spooning him from behind and Logan tucked underneath his chin. They pulled the blankets up, covering Leo up to his neck, and he burrowed down under them.

“No alarm in the morning, sunshine.” Finn peppered his neck in kisses. “Sleep as long as you want.”

Leo hummed. “Love you.”

“Love you,” Finn whispered. He reached across to thumb Logan's cheek. “Love you.”

Logan kissed his palm, whispered it back, then whispered the phrase into the skin of Leo’s neck. He rubbed up and down Leo's ribs until his breathing evened out, then kissed his forehead softly. He closed his eyes and leaned into the warmth. Finally, the bed was full enough where they could all get some rest.

Logan and Finn

“What is this?”

Logan smiled at Finn's confusion. “A surprise, rouge.”

“I'm so confused,” Finn said. His brow was furrowed as he took in the store front. “What are we doing here?”

Logan tugged him by the hand through the door of the studio. “We're painting.”

“Huh?”

Logan rolled his eyes and kissed Finn's cheek. “Allez.” He smiled at the curly haired receptionist. Her smock was covered in paint, and there was even some in her bandana. “Hi. I booked a couple hours.”

She smiled back and opened a book in front of her. “Last name?”

“Tremblay.”

“Ah, gotcha,” she said, then penciled something in. She waved them along with a bright grin. “This way.”

They passed by display cases of completed work, and a couple of classrooms where there were sculpting lessons. Finn's hand was warm on Logan's lower back as they eventually made their way to a large room. There were other couples and groups there, immersed in their work. The girl spun on her heel and gestured to a shelf.

“Blank pieces are here for you to choose from, and I set the glazes by your station. There are smocks, too. When you're done, find one of us, and we will put them in the kiln for you to pick up next week.” She led them to a table laden with small plastic pots of glazes and paints. “Make sure you don't go too thick or too thin. We'll be around if you have any questions.” She rapped her hands on the table then took a step back. “Have fun!”

“Merci,” Logan said softly. He turned to look at Finn. “So?”

Finn just grinned and kissed him hard. “You're such a sweetheart.” He looked to the shelves with the various blank clay pieces. “What do you think? Bowl? Plate?”

Logan hummed and scanned them with his eyes, Finn doing the same beside him. They both reached for a different item, and turned to look at each other at the same time. Finn had a large plate with a raised bowl in the middle.

“For Leo,” he said, blushing a little. “He's been making a lot of dips this summer. He'd like this, I think.”

Logan felt his heart skip a beat. “Yeah. He will.”

“What'd you choose?”

Logan held up the mug with a smile. It had a perfect thumb hold, and was tall enough to hold a lot of tea. Engraved on the side was a raised sun design. Finn clocked it immediately and bit around a grin. His eyes were warm when they looked into Logan's own.

“We're hopeless, huh?” he sighed. “Leo leaves for one fishing weekend with Reg and we are barely surviving without him.”

“Ouais,” Logan said. He brushed one hand up and down Finn's waist. “But that means we get to greet him when he walks through the door.”

Finn's expression turned excited. “Yeah. Yeah, you're right. I can't wait.” He jerked his head towards the table. “Let's get to work, ten.”

They attempted to make them a matching set- kind of. Logan had thought it was a weird suggestion when Finn brought it up, but he was sure Leo would appreciate it anyhow. His piece was admittedly neater than Finn's. The sun was perfectly yellow, with a gradient blue sky starting from its outline and working outwards around the mug. Finn had attempted the same, starting in the middle with the dip bowl and working towards the edges of the plate, but he'd been a bit heavy handed with the glaze and now the colors were starting to blur together.

He let out a frustrated groan. “I am absolutely butchering this.”

Logan laughed and leaned into his shoulder. Their ankles were crossed underneath the table. “Non, it'll look fine. Leo will love it anyway.”

“I know he will,” Finn said. “He will because he's Leo and he appreciates the littlest things, even if they are ugly.” He huffed. “But I want this to be perfect. He deserves perfection.”

“Ouais, he does,” Logan said softly. He considered Finn's work. “Maybe- maybe you try mixing them. Like tie-dye, or- what's the word? When you randomly mix a bunch of paint together?”

“Splatter paint?”

“Ouais, splatter paint.” He gestured to his own mug. “That way they'll be matching, but not exactly the same.” He pointed to the outside rim of the bowl. “You could put green there, oui? To make it transition?”

Finn laughed. “Since when did you become an expert in pottery?”

Logan blushed. “Non. It's just ‘cause it's Leo.”

Finn looked wistful. “Yeah.” He sighed and tilted his temple against Logan's. “I miss him.”

“Ouais,” Logan whispered. “Me too. But Reg is leaving for school soon. He won't see him for a while.”

“But you’re leaving soon. For New York.”

Finn's dejected voice tugged at Logan's heartstrings. “Ouais. Ouais, I know.” He kissed Finn's temple. “But we are people outside of us being together, too, rouge. And Reg means a lot to Leo.”

Finn sighed again. “I know. I know, I'm being silly. I just really miss him.” He turned to push his nose into Logan's neck. “I like doing stuff with friends during the day. But I like when we're all in bed together at night.” He pulled back to cup Logan's jaw and kiss him softly. “Don't like going to sleep without you two.”

Logan breathed out heavily. “Je sais. I know, it's hard.” He turned back to his mug. “Let's make these for Leo and surprise him with them next week. Then I'll take you out for dinner, then to bed, ouais?”

Finn smiled. “You bet you can take me to bed.”

Logan rolled his eyes but hooked his ankle more firmly around Finn's. “Allez. Soleil deserves perfection, so let's paint.”

Leo and Logan

“Mm, smells good, soleil.”

Leo smiled at Logan from where he was finishing up their cutlets. “Thanks honey. How was practice? Feel good about tomorrow?”

“Ouais,” Logan said, slipping off his shoes. He took Leo in, then noticed the dining room table, near his balcony doors, set with candles and a bottle of sparkling cider. He smiled. “You did this for me?”

Leo nodded, then turned back to the stove. “I thought we could have a date night while Fish is out for dinner with Alex. And you've been tired with the playoffs, so I figured staying in might be the best option.” When he didn't get a response, he looked up at Logan, brow furrowed. “Is that okay?”

But Logan was already walking towards him, smile bright and loving. “Oui. C'est bien.” He fell against Leo's chest to kiss him. “Je t'aime, soleil. Merci.”

Leo kissed him again. “Love you. Now go get changed, sweetheart. Dinner will be ready soon.”

Logan squeezed against his waist once more before going to their bedroom. Leo hummed along to the music playing through the speakers, his soft, old country playlist reverberating around the room. He had just finished placing the pans on the table when Logan appeared from their bedroom, making Leo stop in his tracks.

“You look… Lo, you look gorgeous.”

Logan smiled sheepishly. “So do you.”

Leo looked down at himself, in his navy jeans and dark salmon waffle shirt, then at Logan in his black pants and plum button down and was lost for words. Logan’s hair was curlier, too, now that it was longer, and framed his face in a middle part. His eyes were jewel-like as they roved over the table setting, and Leo was so, so in love with him. He said as much.

“I'm so, so in love with you.” He walked forward to cup Logan's face. “God, Lo. You’re just… you’re so gorgeous. You're so gorgeous.”

Logan scrunched his nose around his Finn impression. “Look who's talking.”

Leo laughed, but rubbed his thumbs over Logan's sharp cheekbones, holding his gentle gaze. “I know, I know, but you… Logan, sometimes Finn and I don't know what to do, you're so gorgeous. You're so beautiful, sweetheart, all the time.” He leaned down to kiss Logan softly. “But especially in person.”

That seemed to rile Logan up, and he sighed heavily through his nose and kissed Leo deeper. He was gripping Leo's shirt in his hands, pulling Leo down to where he was, and it made Leo dizzy.

“Honey,” Leo gasped out between kisses. “Honey, the food's getting cold.”

“Mm,” Logan groaned. “One more.”

Leo complied, smiling against Logan's mouth before drawing them apart. Logan's face fit perfectly in between his palms and he kissed his forehead before nodding towards the table. “Let's eat, sweetheart.”

Logan laughed as Leo pulled out his chair. “I really like the sparkling cider.”

Leo blushed. “Well, no alcohol because of the playoffs. I just wanted it to still be special.”

Logan took his hand and kissed it. “I love it, soleil. I love you.”

Leo smiled and placed a cutlet on Logan's plate, topped with arugula and tomatoes marinated in their own juices with garlic and basil, a lemon on the side to squirt the juice over the dish. “Love you, sweetheart. Eat, before it gets cold.”

Logan complied, tangling his ankles with Leo's when he sat across from him. His New York apartment would never be home, not like in Gryffindor, but Leo did like having a dining room table to sit at instead of just sitting at the bar stools by the counter. He especially loved to watch Logan enjoy the table, laden with perfectly assembled food and place settings, like at a fancy restaurant. He looked happy, content, and more relaxed than Leo had seen him in a long time.

Their chatter was gentle, as it so often tended to be. Finn was the main conversationalist, and Logan never felt like he had to say anything, but also never felt like he couldn't. Leo usually made himself to be whatever the other person needed him to be in the moment. He sat with Logan in silence or quiet conversation, or made him laugh loudly with his sharp wit. He could read Logan like an open book, and Logan had once said to him that he wondered what he ever felt like he had to hide anyway.

“Merci, Le,” he said after they’d finished. He was playing with Leo’s fingers. “That was delicious, mon coeur.”

“I’m glad you liked it,” Leo replied, standing to clear their plates.

“Non, non,” Logan protested, batting his hands away. “Let me clean, mon chou, you cooked.”

Leo raised his eyebrows teasingly. “Am I going to have to rewash dishes?”

Logan rolled his eyes and stacked their plates. “Fish only has to do that sometimes. I’ve gotten better since living on my own.”

Leo’s smile was a bit joking, and a bit sad. “Well, whatever it takes, I guess.” He kissed Logan briefly. “I’ll dry, then.”

They worked quietly side by side, and Logan triple checked to make sure each plate was clean. He was focused, his tongue poking out in the way that made Finn and Leo laugh. Leo smiled and kissed the side of his head.

“I've got some dessert,” Leo said, breaking their silence. “If you want something sweet.”

“According to Fish, I am something sweet.”

Leo bumped him with his hip. “And he's right.” Leo sorted the utensils into their drawer. “And then I was thinking we'd have to just go to sleep, even before Finn gets home. Want you rested for the game tomorrow.”

Logan sighed. “I'm sorry.”

Leo shook his head hard. “No, no, Lo, don't be sorry. We're so proud of you.” He kissed Logan’s forehead. “We'll finish this, eat, then bed. Okay?”

Logan was placing the last pan on the drying rack when Leo moved to the fridge. He furrowed his brow quizzically, then made an ah! sound when he found what he’d been looking for.

“Not necessarily on the diet plan, but I figured an exception could be made for date night,” he said, holding up a plate with a large piece of cake. “The New York Blackout Cake from that place Finn brought us to.”

Logan bit his lip and looked Leo up and down. Leo looked him up and down, too, everything from his soft curls falling over his face to the eager way he was looking at Leo holding the cake. Leo watched as a conflicted feeling made its way across Logan’s expression. Logan watched Leo's face as Leo caught on, too.

Leo set the plate down on the counter. “What's wrong, sweetheart?”

“I just…” Logan sighed, closing his eyes and hanging his head back. He didn’t quite know how to find the English words, sometimes. “I just want to rest with you.”

Leo moved into his space and cupped his hips gently. Logan reached up to play with his hair, looking into Leo’s eyes as he tried to understand. “What do you mean, Lo?” He ducked down. “Dites-moi.”

Logan sighed, then continued in French. “I want to go to bed with you and not have to get up and do anything. I want to- I want to go to bed early to stay up late with you, not because I have to sleep enough for a game. And I-” He took a deep breath and pulled Leo close, brushing their noses together. “I want you, Le. It’s been so long, and I want you, but we have to be careful because of the playoffs, and I-” He made a low groan in the back of his throat. His breath was hot against Leo’s cheek. “I just want to rest with you. To be with you.” He kissed Leo hard. “I missed you, mon soleil.”

Leo shuddered, breathing quick and shaky. “I’m sorry, Lo. I’m sorry I said anything about- about going to sleep early, I-”

“Sh, sh,” Logan hushed. He tucked himself under Leo’s chin. “It’s because you care. I love that about you.” He looked up at him. “Let’s eat our cake, oui? Then we go to bed.” Logan sighed and pushed himself further into Leo’s chest. “I want some rest more than none at all.”

“Soon, sweetheart,” Leo said, pulling back to rub up and down Logan’s arms. He jerked his head to the table. “C’mere, you can sit on my lap and I can feed you.”

Logan laughed and took the hand Leo offered, his other holding the cake. Leo did insist on feeding him, taking a bite for himself every now and then. Mostly, he just smiled at Logan, laughing softly as Logan told him about Percy putting shaving cream in Saint and Alex’s gloves, which had them chasing him around the arena with bottles of their own cream provided by Will. Apparently, he was invested in putting a stop to Percy’s practical pranking streak- Percy spent way too much time buying shaving cream, he said.

With every laugh, Leo wrapped Logan up tighter with his free arm until there was no space between them. After Leo took the final bite of cake, Logan kissed him just to taste it off his tongue. Leo obliged for a minute, then insisted that they get ready for bed.

“I want you to be comfy, sweetheart,” Leo said softly. “Then we can spend some more time together, but I want you ready for bed so you can just fall asleep when you need to.”

Logan told him didn’t know how he’d gotten so lucky.

Later, after brushing their teeth and Leo forcing him through a skincare routine, Logan sat straddled in Leo’s lap, kissing him languidly with his arms thrown across Leo’s shoulders, Leo’s hands running up and down his back. It felt good, to kiss just to kiss when they hadn’t had the time to in so long. Logan’s body was warm against his own, skin against skin now that they were just in their boxers. Logan let his head fall back with a slightly wanton sound as Leo moved down to kiss at his neck, scraping his teeth against the hinge of Logan’s jaw like he liked. Leo couldn’t help the pool of arousal working its way up his spine.

“Fuck,” he gasped suddenly, pulling back. His cheeks were flushed and his hair was a mess from Logan’s hands. “Fuck, we have to stop. We have to stop, we have to go to bed.” He blinked hard. “You need to sleep, oh God.”

Logan kissed him softly. “I want you.”

Leo sucked in a breath. “Logan, you can’t say that, not when we can’t-”

“Ouais, we can,” Logan whispered. He settled himself more firmly in the cradle of Leo’s hips. “We can go slow. I’ll be okay, mon coeur, I’m asking you to.” He sighed. “I missed you, Le.”

Leo bit the inside of his cheek, thinking. It didn’t take him long to decide, but he hoped his eyes conveyed he was still a bit worried. “Okay. Okay, but we have to go so slow-”

“Ouais,” Logan interrupted, suddenly urgent. “Ouais, yes, yes.” He bent to suck at Leo’s neck. “Leo.”

“I love you,” Leo gasped. “I love you so much.”

Then, in the dim light of their bedside lamp, Leo let Logan’s everything fill him up and held tightly to his body as he kissed Leo gently back against the pillows.

Finn and Leo

“How’s this, Le?”

Leo nodded, smiling at the way Finn patted the cushioned chair beside his own at the high top table. Finn smiled back, enjoying the way Leo looked golden under the dim cafe lights. He had seen the local band advertised a few days ago, coincidentally playing in his favorite cafe, and had immediately texted Leo demanding a date night.

Besides, he didn't want to be in their apartment any longer than he had to. Not when the winter nights left him cold on one side because Logan wasn't there to warm him up.

They had just played their last game before the All Star break, a matinee, and he could feel that excitement that preceded a vacation, even a stay at home one. He could tell that Leo did, too, with the way he'd been laughing freely that afternoon as he had cooked them an early dinner, the way he’d kissed Finn happily after Finn had held the door open for him to get out of the car. He looked sweet tonight, in his white wool sweater and jeans, golden chain peeking out when it caught the light. Finn took his hand and kissed it. “What do you want, sunshine? I’ll go to the bar and order.”

Leo smiled brightly. “You know what I want.” He leaned across the table and nudged their noses. “And a couple of those blueberry scones, if they still have them, please.”

“You got it,” Finn said, then kissed him briefly and walked to the bar.

The bartender smiled at him when he approached. “Finn,” he said. “The usual?”

“You know it, Marius,” Finn replied with a grin. “And a Dark ‘n Stormy for Le. Oh, and two of those blueberry scones, if they're still around, please?”

Marius nodded, already grabbing a shaker. “We always have them for our favorite food critic. Usual table?”

“Yep, thank you.” Finn slapped some bills on the bar. “Keep the change.”

“This is why you’re my favorite, O’Hara!” Marius called as Finn walked away.

Finn spun and gave him a thumbs up before turning back to walk towards their high top. Leo smiled and reached out his arms, Finn swaying into the cradle of his legs and rubbing his hands up and down Leo’s thighs. “Howdy, nutter butter.”

“Hi,” Leo said softly. “Usual?”

“Always, baby.” Finn kissed his cheek. “Got a couple scones for you. You’re their favorite food critic.”

Leo blushed happily. “That’s sweet.”

“Here we are,” a voice said behind them. A young woman about Leo’s age with long, dark hair placed a tray on their table. “One Manhattan, one Dark ‘n Stormy, and two blueberry scones for you.”

“Thanks, Isha,” Leo said, rubbing a thumb on Finn’s hip. “How’re classes?”

Isha scoffed. “Way harder than whatever hockey you're playing.”

Finn laughed. “I’ll drink to that. Hey, if you do well in fashion school, we’ll commission your first pieces, how does that sound?”

Isha rolled her eyes, but smiled. “Fine. But I hope you like colorful suits, because I make nothing short of fabulous.”

“Amen,” Leo said, reaching to take a sip of his drink. “I’m tired of black and navy.”

She knocked on their table. “I’ll leave you to it, guys. Enjoy!”

They waved her off, then Finn pulled away to sit on his own stool. “I’m kind of excited for the band. Haven’t seen them before.”

Leo hummed and picked up a scone. “Reg went out with Sirius and Remus to see them at the park the other week. Said they’re pretty acoustic.” He took a bite. “Fuck, these are good. Want some?”

Finn smiled and hooked their ankles together. “Nah, baby. I’m fine just sitting here looking at you.”

Leo rolled his eyes. His cheeks were red. “You’re so funny about that.”

“Uh, there’s nothing funny about it. I’ll sit and stare at you and Lo for hours. We’ll test it sometime.”

“You sure you can sit still for that long?” Leo’s eyes were playful.

Finn leaned in. “Sure, if there’s a reward.”

Leo laughed. “If that’s the case, I’m not sure Logan will sit still that long, either.” He straightened. “Hey, look, they’re starting.”

The band was small. A vocalist, guitarist, bassist. A keyboard player. The percussionist had a kit, but also a lot of small instruments Finn didn’t know the name of. They introduced themselves briefly, the vocalist swinging their long hair over their shoulder, then the drummer counted them off. They were a bit folk, almost country.

“Your taste in music, huh, Le?”

“Yeah.” Leo nodded, watching intently. He turned to look at Finn with a smile and reached out his hand. “Thanks for taking me.”

Finn tugged him. “C’mere.”

He led Leo over to stand back to chest with him. Sat on the high stool, Finn was the perfect height to rest his chin on Leo’s shoulder and watch. The skin of Leo’s neck was warm against his cheek, and he wrapped his arms tightly around Leo’s waist. Leo sighed and relaxed back into him, covering Finn’s hands with his own.

“I’m ready for a vacation,” Leo said softly. “Feels like that last roadie went on for ages.”

“Hm,” Finn agreed. He kissed Leo’s skin. “Can’t wait to have you to myself for a few days.”

He could feel Leo smile. “All for you? What if Logan wants me?”

“You’re both all for me,” Finn countered. He buried his nose into Leo’s soft sweater. “All mine.”

Leo leaned back to look at him. “All yours.” He twisted slightly, bringing one hand up to cup Finn’s jaw. “What’s wrong?”

Finn bent to tuck his nose behind Leo’s neck, out of view from the rest of the people. “Miss him.”

“I know,” Leo said, scratching his scalp. “But he’ll be driving home tomorrow after his game. Early, too, it’s at one ‘o clock.”

“I know,” Finn sighed. “And I can’t wait to have a week with both of you, but- it’s just a week.”

This part of the season was always the most difficult. Time spent with Logan was finite and few and far between. They missed him constantly, like a bruise, and trying to fit everything in was impossible. They’d gotten better at not doing that after it made Leo have an anxiety-fused meltdown trying to make all of Logan’s favorite foods during the last All Star break. Now, they mostly enjoyed being in each other’s presence wherever they were: going out to dinner, going for a walk, helping Leo in the kitchen, even cleaning their apartment. But it still didn’t make them hold Logan any less tight when they bid him goodbye.

Leo saw right through him. He kissed the side of Finn’s head. “Look at me, sweetheart.”

Finn lifted his head. Leo’s eyes were soft, his hand gentle as he cupped Finn’s cheek. Finn kissed his engagement ring. “I love you.”

Leo smiled and nudged their noses together. “I love you.” He kissed Finn lightly. “How about this? Tomorrow, we get up and go for a run, then stop by the bakery on the way back and the indoor farmer’s market at the church. I’ll make some nice BLTs and potato wedges for lunch while we watch Logan play, then we sit and cuddle and read until he gets home.”

Finn smiled. “Yeah, okay.” He pressed their temples together. “And tonight?”

Leo’s grin was sly. “We’ll finish here, then you’ll take me to bed. Then tomorrow you take us both to bed.”

Finn laughed softly. “I love that.” He kissed Leo again. “Thank you.”

Leo nodded, then turned back towards the band. “You’re forever for us, sweetheart. After all this hockey is done, we’ll still want you.”

Finn nodded and pressed his lips to Leo’s neck. “Yeah. Yeah, I like forever.”

Leo snorted. “You love forever.” He wiggled further into Finn’s arms. “Now hold me close, O’Hara, the band’s not done.”

Finn squeezed him tighter, settling into Leo’s body as the band wrapped up another song. There was light applause, then the lead singer was smiling at them from the small, raised stage.

“This next one’s a cover,” they said. “An oldie, but a goodie. It’s, in my opinion, one of the most romantic songs to have ever been written, and we love playing it for folks.”

The percussionist picked up a couple shaker eggs, and the keyboardist and bassist a couple violins. Finn raised his eyebrows, intrigued.

“Alright, here we go.”

When the first notes played, Finn gasped out a laugh.

Leo patted his thigh. “What?”

“Nothing,” Finn said with a smile, voice a little tight. Leo turned to look at him fully, eyebrows furrowed. Finn shook his head. “Nothing, it’s just- Lo and I were reading together, this summer, when you were calling your parents to tell them we were engaged.” He bit his lip at the memory. “We were listening to the John Denver vinyl, and this song came on. Lo said it always reminded him of you.”

Leo smiled. “Yeah? Annie’s Song?”

Finn nodded. “Yeah. He said this one, and the other one. About the sun.”

“Sunshine On My Shoulders.”

“Yes, that one.” Finn took a shaky breath. “And he said he wants to dance to them with you at our wedding.”

Leo’s smile was so wide both dimples appeared. “He does?”

Finn used a finger to turn Leo to face him more directly. His eyes were watering. “Mm hm.”

“And what’d you say?”

Finn kissed him. “I said that if he gets two first dances with you, then I get two with each of you, too. Then we get two to dance all together.”

Leo laughed. “People are going to get sick of watching us.”

“I don’t care,” Finn said. “They don’t even have to be there.”

“My mama would be so mad.”

“Well, she can come and watch if she wants, but when you two are dancing, I won’t be a good conversationalist.” He nosed at Leo’s neck. “I’ll be too busy watching my husbands.”

Leo sucked in a breath. “Your husbands.”

“My husbands.”

“All yours.”

“All mine.”

Leo gripped his hair to draw him into a deep kiss, too needy for a public setting. When he pulled back, his face was flushed and his voice a little high. “Take me home. Please, Finn.”

Finn sighed happily. The sound of the violins carried over the crowd. “After this song,” he whispered. He settled back against the chair and closed his eyes with a smile, tucking Leo’s face into his neck, hand in his curls. “I’m imagining my husbands dancing.”

The Cubs

“You want to take them where?”

“To the spa, Layla,” Leo said. “The one Lily gave you vouchers for for your birthday. The really good new one, owned by the lesbian couple?”

“Oh, that place is fantastic.”

Leo and Layla looked over to Thomas, who was contentedly sitting in his ice bath.

Layla looked amused. “You been, Talky?”

“Have I? Fuck, Kasey, James, and I got our relaxation on with the girls one day. Best day of my life.” He snorted. “And I know Kasey went back with Alex and Natalie. Apparently Alex fell asleep in the massage chair.”

That made Leo and Layla laugh. She turned back to massage out his tight quad. “I can give you the phone number, Nut. You going during Christmas?”

Lep nodded. “Yeah, I said I wanted to take them out on a date when Logan’s home for a couple days. Figured this would be relaxing.” He shrugged. “Plus, I figured it’d be a bit… safer for us, you know? They’ve got a three or more persons relationship package.”

She raised her eyebrows. “You think Finn can sit still that long?”

“If he’s in a comfy chair, sure. He loves a good chair.”

Thomas snorted. “I swear, he’s an old man. When he reads he slides his glasses down his nose.”

Leo smiled. “I know. He’ll be such a sexy old man.”

“And that’s enough for today, I think,” Layla said, looking at him pointedly. “Up you get, go shower. I’ll text you the number.”

“Thank you, ma’am,” Leo said brightly. “I’ll bake you a pie as a thank you.”

“Pecan, please!” she called out after him.

“You got it!”

***

Logan looked confusedly at the building in front of them. “You are taking us…”

“...to a spa?” Finn finished. “What for?”

Leo smiled. “You’ll see.”

“This better be worth leaving our bed,” Logan grumbled.

Leo took his hand and kissed his cheek. “Promise, honey. It’s to get you to relax.”

Logan cocked an eyebrow. “You already know how to get me relaxed.”

“Tremblay,” Finn scolded gently. “Public indecency is not how I want to go to jail!”

Leo left them to their quiet bickering and approached the desk attendant. She had brown hair that faded into purple waves at the ends and a pronoun pin that said Izzy she/her on it. “Hi, ma’am. Reservation for three people at 2 o’clock for Leo Knut?”

She smiled back. “Hi there, Leo. You can follow me!”

They were led back to a changing room, where they were instructed to dress themselves in the robes folded on the benches. The room smelled like eucalyptus.

Finn looked around at the space. “Wowzers. This place is nice.” He looked up at the wall, where there were various Pride flags hung up, as there were all over the building. “Cute.”

“How’d you find it, Le?” Logan asked.

Leo reached down to play with his fingers, poking out of the robe sleeves. It was a little big on him. “Layla. She gave me the number. We got a package.”

Finn raised his eyebrows. “Like a couple’s package?”

Leo nodded. “Yeah, but they do relationship packages for more than two people.” He blushed a little, biting his cheek. “I know we want to spend as much time together as possible, but I thought it’d be relaxing. We don’t always get to do this stuff, you know? At least not like other people.” He shrugged, ducking down a little. “I thought it’d be romantic.”

Logan smiled brightly at him, looping his arms around Leo’s waist and falling onto his chest with a sigh. “It is romantic, soleil.” He stood on his toes to kiss Leo gently. “You’re just so…”

“Sweet?” Finn supplied.

“Oui. The sweetest.” He bit Leo’s jaw. “Like candy.”

Finn made an eager little sound and pressed a burst of kisses to Leo’s cheek. “Does that mean we get to eat you, sunshine? Because I’m so game for that.”

Leo shook his head, but was grinning. “Later. First it’s massage time.”

Three people knocked on the door and led them to three massage tables, lined up side by side. Leo’s masseuse, Leanna, instructed him to take his robe off and lay down with a towel around his hips. He did as told, and sighed deeply when she began rubbing lotion on him and working on his upper back.

“Jesus Christ,” a voice came. It was Logan’s masseuse, Iris. “I’m going to break my hands, you’ve got so many knots. What is it you said you did again?”

“Professional hockey players,” Finn replied. He sounded halfway asleep. “He also frequently gets into fights.”

“Fish.”

Iris sighed. “That’ll do it.” Leo laughed as he heard their knuckles crack. “Let’s get to work then, Logan. I’m going to have you so unwound, it’ll be like magic.”

***

About an hour later, when they were declared done, Logan and Leo sat up, Logan rolling his shoulders and neck. Their masseuses turned away politely to let them put their robes back on, then Logan let out a satisfied groan. He looked at Iris with wide eyes. “Merde. You really did work magic.”

Iris smiled. “You gave me a run for my money. My elbow could only dig so far into those big muscles of yours.”

A knock on the door interrupted their laughter, and Izzy poked her head in. “We all good here? The next room is ready for you.”

“Hi, baby,” Iris said. “We’re all done.” They jerked their head at Logan. “This one had knots the size of a baseball.”

Izzy winced. “Yikes. Leanna, Felicity, any trouble?”

Felicity shook her head. “No.” She looked to Finn. “But I think he’s asleep.”

Indeed, Finn had fallen asleep. His breathing was even, and there were soft snores coming from where his face was poking through the head rest.

They all laughed softly, and Logan hopped off his bed to crouch beside Finn. “Rouge,” he whispered. “Rouge, wake up. Gotta get dressed.” When Finn still didn’t stir he kissed his back. “Finn.”

Finn jerked awake at his name, almost letting the towel slide down. Leo acted quickly and held it for him. “No nudity here, O’Hara.”

The masseuses laughed, and Finn pushed up onto his elbows in surprise. He blinked hard. “Oh man.” He tilted his head up to look at Logan, who gazed at him adoringly. “I took a nap.”

“That you did,” Felicity said with a grin. She clapped her hands. “Robe on, let’s go. You get face masks next.”

***

“You boys want anything to drink?” Isaiah, one of their estheticians, said. He was mixing Leo’s face mask. The other esthetician, Marcy, was washing up from doing Finn’s. “We got iced tea, fruity iced tea, lemonade, green juice.”

Leo looked to Logan, who was relaxed against his chair, a ridiculous blue mask on his face and cucumbers on his eyes. Finn’s brown eyes were peeking out from his white mask, his own cucumber slices in his hand as he considered.

“You have sweet tea?” Leo asked.

Isaiah smiled and nodded “I thought I detected a southern accent. Where are you from?”

“New Orleans, sir.”

“Savannah.”

Leo laughed. “I’m in good company, then.”

Isaiah winked and turned to Finn. “Anything for you?”

Finn nodded. “Unsweetened iced tea with lemon for me, thanks.” He jerked his head at Logan. “He’ll take the sweetest drink you got in your largest glass, please.”

“Ouais, s'il vous plaît,” Logan sighed happily.

Marcy laughed. “I’ll go grab them for you. You finish with Leo, Isaiah, I’ll be right back.”

She slipped out the door, then Isaiah turned to Leo. “Alright, let’s get to work.” He peered at Leo’s face. “I can’t believe how good your skin already is.”

Leo blushed. He thought about his acne scars on his cheek and jaw. “Really?”

“Yeah,” Isaiah said. “You moisturize really well, which is the most important thing.” He brushed his fingers on Leo’s jaw. “I know you’ve got blemishes here, but considering you spend your days with a mask over your sweaty face, your skin is fantastic. Your scars don’t seem irritated- they should heal, and your pores are still pretty clear.” He raised his eyebrows at Logan. “Unlike Mr. Blackheads over there.”

That made Leo laugh. “I’m working on it. They were both frat boys; skin care isn’t their forte.”

Isaiah looked amused. “Frat boys? Didn’t know they came in the polyamorous variety.”

Leo shrugged. “Me neither.” He roved his eyes over Finn and Logan’s bodies. “Got lucky I guess.”

Isaiah smiled. “Alright, loverboy. Close your eyes.”

The mask was cool against his face as Isaiah applied it in smooth strokes with his plastic spatula. It relaxed him against the seat, along with the cool air and the soft music of the room. If he listened close enough, he could hear Logan and Finn breathing beside him.

A knock sounded at the door, then Marcy walked in carrying a tray. “Order up.”

Leo watched amusedly as Logan straightened and held out his hand when Marcy instructed him to. His drink was indeed in a tall glass and looked like a sunset, yellow liquid fading into orange, then pink. There were bits of fruit floating in it. He took a sip, nodding approvingly. “Ouais,” he sighed. He then relaxed back into the chair, cucumber eyes and all, straw resting in his mouth. “Ouais. Merci.”

They all laughed, Finn and Leo saying a polite thanks when they were given their tea. Leo took a sip, letting the thick, sugary taste settle over his tongue before leaning back to let Isaiah place cucumbers over his eyes.

“Twenty for the mask and the cukes, okay? We’ll leave you for a bit.”

“Thank you,” Leo said, then the click of the door left them just with each other.

They laid in silence for a while, each basking in the relaxation. Every now and then Logan would let out a happy little sound as he sipped his tea. After a few minutes, Leo felt Finn’s long, dexterous fingers take his own.

“Thanks for taking us, Le, baby,” he said softly with a squeeze to Leo’s hand. “You’re so sweet.”

Leo squeezed back. “Thanks for going along with it.” He fiddled with Finn’s fingers some more. “I didn’t know if you’d like it or not.”

“Non,” Logan sighed. “I love it.”

Finn scoffed. “Of course you would, you absolutely pampered baby. You get massages at home, too!”

Leo could imagine Logan’s smirk. “Ouais. I bat my eyelashes and you give me anything I want.”

Finn scoffed again, but didn’t protest.

Leo tugged at him gently. “I love you, sweethearts.”

“Je t’aime.”

“Love you, lovers.” There was the thud of Finn’s head falling against his seat. “You know, this skincare thing isn’t so bad. Might have to do face mask date nights at home.”

That got a laugh out of Leo. “Whatever you want, honey.”

They were interrupted by another knock on the door and it creaking open. “We all set here, boys?”

“Come in!” Leo called.

Two pairs of footsteps sounded, then some running water. There was a deep sigh from Isaiah. “Alright, Mr. Blackheads. Let’s see how we did.”

Leo took the cucumbers off his eyes to watch Marcy and Isaiah wash off his boys’ masks and apply some moisturizer, Isaiah with a pointed look at Logan and some containers.

“A sample of the mask and the cream,” he said. “My parting gift to you.”

Logan smiled sheepishly. “Merci.”

Finally, Marcy washed off Leo’s own mask and applied some moisturizer, peering at his skin. “You want a sample of the mask, too? I think it’ll help the scarring reduce quicker, especially since you’ve already taken such good care of your skin.”

Leo nodded and accepted the small container with a blush. “Thank you.”

Finn leaned over and kissed his cheek. “Pretty baby.” He flopped dramatically against his chair. “I don’t wanna leave.” He pouted. “Can we come back?”

Marcy laughed. “We’ll happily let you blow your NHL salary on us.” She walked towards the door. “You can change into your clothes and then pay at reception on the way out!”

They thanked them both, then went to the changing room to put their clothes on. Finn took one look at them and whistled lowly. “You two are glowing. Got my own shiny Greek god statues.”

Leo looked down at himself. He supposed the massage lotion had made him pretty shiny. When he caught Finn's eye again, he was staring. “Harz,” Leo laughed.

“Mm?” Finn was not really paying attention.

“Eyes up here, sweetheart.”

“But I don't want to look at your eyes.”

Logan laughed, shucking off his robe completely. “Rouge. Time to change.”

When Finn turned to Logan, he raised his eyebrows higher. He focused in on Logan's pecs. “Would you be open to public indecency?”

Leo scoffed. “No way. I'm not sweating or washing all this moisturizer off. Gotta let it sit on the skin for a bit.”

Finn groaned, reaching for his shirt. “But how long?”

“Probably a good few hours, honey.”

That did not seem to help the situation. “No,” Finn whined. “I did not sign up for this. Peanut.”

Leo laughed as he pulled his jeans up, leaning to press a lingering kiss to the side of Finn's head. “You'll be okay, sweetheart. Just until, like, ten o'clock tonight, okay?”

Finn bonked his head against Leo's shoulder. “I'm setting an alarm,” he grunted  “You can't get out of Christmas break sex.”

“Wouldn't dream of it, mon coeur “ Logan said with a brief kiss to Finn's cheek. “D'accord, let's go. Want to go to the Sunstone for dinner?”

“Hey, this is my date I'm taking you on,” Leo pouted.

Logan looked over his shoulder with a smirk as he opened the door. “I didn't say I would be paying. Allez.”

They walked out to the reception desk, Leo pulling out his credit card. Izzy smiled at him and she pulled his charge up on the computer. “Did you have fun?”

Leo nodded. “Absolutely. Y'all might have tricked them into skincare.”

She laughed. “Yeah, that tends to be a theme with most men.” She took his card and swiped it, handing it back with a flourish. “You're all set!”

“Thank you,” Leo said, placing some bills on the counter. “Seriously, it was really good. I'll leave these for you guys.”

Izzy smiled. “You're a real gentleman, Mr. Knut.”

He smiled back. “It's my southern disposition. Now,” he sighed, turning back to Logan and Finn, who were thumb wrestling. “I think my two knuckleheads are hungry.”

“Have a good night, boys!”

“Thank you!” Logan and Finn called back, jostling each other on the way to the car, attempting to continue thumb wrestling while they walked. A particularly hard movement from Logan sent Finn slipping on the ice.

“Woah!”

Leo caught him around the waist and hauled him to the passenger side. “Jesus, you two are walking hazards wherever you go.”

“Hey, that's not me. That's my loser brother.”

Leo just kissed him briefly. “In the car, please. I'm hungry for steak.”

“Ouais,” Logan said, opening the back door on Finn's side. He took Leo's hand. “Merci, soleil. I had a lot of fun.”

Logan's smile was so lovely that Leo had to kiss him, too. “I really love you.” He looked between them. “I love to date you, too.”

Finn's gaze was soft. “Good,” he whispered. “I think I want to date you a long time.”

Leo bit his lip around his own smile. “Yeah?”

“Yeah.” Finn looked to Logan. “How's that sound, Lo, baby?”

Logan fell against Leo's chest, arms around his waist. “C'est bien.” He sighed, nuzzling into Leo's jacket. “C'est bien.”

Leo kissed his head. “Let's go, sweethearts.” He walked around the car to climb in the driver's side. “Dinner awaits us.”

“Make sure you eat up,” Finn said. Leo saw his smirk out of the corner of his eye as he backed the car up. “You'll need lots of energy starting at ten o'clock. Perfect end to a date, in my opinion. Perfect end to a day.”

Leo caught Logan's eye in the rearview mirror. Logan was looking back, eyes soft and lovingly exasperated in the way Finn could only make him.

“Yeah,” Leo said, smiling. “Perfect end to a day.”

idk if you only write the cubs but I love your writing so much and would love to read some rookie Sirius and Dumo hurt comfort OR some Sirius and Hope Lupin hurt comfort. I feel like all the family time around holidays would be tough for him at first but then he find out he’s so loved ya know😩 thanks babes keep up the great content!!!

This is the SECOND ask for hurt/comfort Sirius and Hope Lupin. I wasn't planning on writing Coops or Sirius/Remus as main characters, but I am a SUCKER for a found family story. It warms my heart. PLUS, this one features the Black Brothers!

Thank you for the kind words, friend! Keep the prompts coming!

All credits to @lumosinlove !!

“Sirius, Regulus, could you come here for a second?”

Sirius looked up from where he was sat in the Lupin’s living room, on the couch with a cup of coffee and a photo album Hope had handed him. Remus, Julian, and Lyall had gone to get the family Christmas tree- something Julian had been very excited about- leaving himself and Regulus alone in the house with Remus’ mom. She was standing in the arched walkway that lead to the kitchen, and was glancing expectantly at the both of him. Regulus bookmarked his page and gingery set the novel down.

“Yeah, Mrs. Lupin?” he asked.

She waved her hand at him. “I told you to stop calling me that, honey. Hope is fine.” She jerked her head. “This way, come on. I need to watch my cakes, so may you please both come to the kitchen?”

It was still weird for the both of them, Sirius thought, to be asked to do things instead of told to do them. Sometimes there was that element, in the way Hope had firmly told Remus and Julian to shovel the snow that morning, but always with a layer of humor and love behind it. They always had a choice in everything, and Hope would never make them do things they never truly were comfortable doing. Remus and Julian were definitely capable, and even liked, shoveling snow- they’d just been a bit lazy and had protested doing it. But Hope had just raised her eyebrows at them, and sure enough, forty-five minutes later they had returned jostling one another, Julian stuffing a massive snowball down Remus’ back. Sirius had watched Regulus’ eyes follow them and was sure the same look was plastered on his own face; laughter had never really been all that common in their household.

They both stood and followed Hope into the kitchen, where she was monitoring what looked like some ginger cakes for the town Christmas dinner food drive she was donating to later that evening. She peeked into the oven, nodded in satisfaction, and then turned to them with a smile on her face. “Now,” she said. “I have a surprise for you.”

“Quoi?” Sirius asked. He and Regulus wore matching confused expressions. “You do?”

“Mmhm,” she said, as though it was obvious. She pointed to two boxes on the counter. Their names were written on little tags in cursive on the top. “Those are for you, dears.”

“Oh,” Regulus said. He looked a little out of place. “Thank you.”

“Go on, open them, I’m excited.”

Tentatively, they both reached for their respective boxes and lifted the lids. Inside each of them was a round wooden ornament with a red ribbon running through the top. And engraved in the otherwise flat surface was-

“The Leo constellation?”

“Canis Major?”

Regulus and Sirius both looked at each other simultaneously, realization dawning, and then at Hope.

“Oh,” Sirius said. “That’s us.”

“You’re right, sweetheart,” Hope answered gently. She leaned onto the counter on her forearms. “Every year, Re and Jules get a new ornament to decorate the Christmas tree with, and there’s a theme every year. I got you each one of those kind this year, too, but I figured you needed some to start with. Re and Jules each got ones carved with their birth flower when they were born, and I thought- well, I thought that your constellations would fit you. The brightest star in the sky, and the heart of the Lion, yes?”

“Yeah,” Regulus said. His voice was soft and his face red, but he looked Hope right in the eye. “Thank you. Thank you.”

And in a fashion very unlike himself, he walked around the counter and straight into Hope’s arms.

“Oh,” Hope laughed, surprised, but she squeezed him tightly back. “Oh, you’re welcome, honey. You’re so welcome.”

Sirius watched his brother, his not-so-baby brother, fold himself, perhaps for the first time, in a loving mother’s embrace, and he wanted to cry. He wanted to hug Regulus, to hug Hope, to hug Lyall and Julian and Remus. He wanted to be a part of this family forever, wanted to take Reg with him. When Hope and Regulus parted, he didn’t know what he must have looked like, but when Hope came around the counter all he could do was fall into her arms. He was much taller and weighed more, but she somehow made him feel tiny and precious in her embrace.

“Thank you,” he whispered. “Thank you, this means so much. You have no idea.”

“No, I don’t,” she replied, frank as always. “But I hope you never will have to have any idea ever again.”

Sirius squeezed her tight and caught his brother’s eye over her shoulder. Regulus nodded, a small, tiny thing, and he knew: this was what a forever home felt like.

MORE headcanons, because I once again need a study break. Probably won't be posting for a few more days- I want to get some of these prompts written out and edited before I start posting them for you guys, and I am also SWAMPED with homework! Keep the prompts coming if you have them, though, please! I promise I will get to them in the near future. :)

Logan really is super fucking strong. His bench, squat, and deadlift maxes go CRAZY, and he is a pull-up king. He doesn't have a powerlifter/bodybuilder body, though, because of all the hockey he plays, so he's not a TOTAL hunk. But his muscles show AND go. Finn has obviously been obsessed with them for years (he's a big fan of biting them). Leo could sit with a cup of iced coffee and a pastry and watch Logan work out for HOURS- he gets really hot and bothered watching Logan lift.

Finn is a big lotion-er. He didn't really have a proper skin routine or anything like that until he met Leo, but he ALWAYS lotioned his body after a shower from the time he was little because he has really dry skin. It's a family thing. And because he's so pale, he burns easily (there is no part of him that tans, he is a ghost or a lobster), so his parents always emphasized sun damage prevention and after-sun skin care for him and Alex.

Leo loves handmade sweaters. Everywhere they travel to, he always goes and looks for a local artisan who makes sweaters and buys himself one. Finn and Logan find it so cute, especially if they're in a country where the native language isn't English, because Leo always tries to talk to the shop owners in their native language, even if he stumbles his way through a conversation sometimes. His side of the closet is filled with big, colorful, wooly sweaters, and Logan LOVES to steal them because they swamp his body. It's like Leo's giving him a hug (bonus if Leo is actually hugging him while he's wearing one of them).

They went to relationship counseling a few different times. They did it when they were still long-distance after they'd gotten married and it was really hard to communicate sometimes and they got kind of depressed being newly-married AND living apart, and then they went again after they all retired and were figuring out their purpose. Leo, more than Finn and Logan, needed time to figure out his own identity, because he'd entered a long-term career and permanent relationship so young. Finn and Logan especially struggled with the idea of Leo doing all his charity work and traveling, the idea of him being away freaked them out to the point where it resulted in a few arguments. Obviously, they figured it out, and they worked everything out, but it was hard for a few months.

Leo's body softens a bit in retirement. He still lifts and stuff (he retains most of his strength), but he doesn't have to follow as strict of a diet. He gets kind of a sleeper-build almost, a little squishy on top but still REALLY strong underneath, and his muscles POP when he flexes. Finn and Logan are absolutely obsessed with him. Finn takes every opportunity to bite his tummy, and Logan loves Leo's thighs and back. He's still really flexible (mobility is important for him), which also has its benefits. He ages beautifully because of it, too, and his body is capable of physical things until a very old age.

Logan has one of those hand squeezer things to build up finger muscles. He does it to distract himself, mostly, but Finn and Leo have a hard time tearing their eyes away. Their Lolo has very nice hands.

Finn LOVES suits. Absolutely loves them. He also loves finding up-and-coming designers or recently graduated fashion students and just tells them to do whatever they'd like. He ends up with a pretty spectacular wardrobe. So do Leo and Logan.

They all went to South America and hiked volcanoes together in Peru, Bolivia, and Chile. Coolest views EVER! Logan and Leo especially have a love for trekking. They start to go on a lot of camping trips when they have vacation time. Finn is weirdly obsessed with the dry meals that you rehydrate with just water. Leo is just a bit appalled.

They once ran into Johnathan Bailey in New York City after a matinee Broadway show. Finn was SO starstruck and stuttered so hard that Leo and Logan were DYING of silent laughter. Finn choked when Johnathan winked at him and LeLo make fun of him for it for the rest of their lives.

They make a huge effort to never, EVER stop dating each other. They might have been married for 20, 30, 40 years, they might have kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and they are still just as obsessed and dedicated to one another as they were at the beginning. Even when they go through rough patches, they never miss their weekly dates, even if it is just going for coffee or taking a walk all together. They always say 'I love you' when they say goodbye, hang up the phone, go to sleep, wake up, and after every argument (that aren't really arguments at the end of the day- mostly they're tired or don't know how to say what they want to say). They make sure to schedule nights away with just the three of them, even if it's just at a hotel on the other side of the city for one night because they left their kids at Remus and Sirius' house. They never stop surprising one another and they never stop putting each other first, even if it sometimes is really hard. It's how they stay so incredibly in love for their entire lives.

Some more Cubs headcanons because I need a BREAK from homework but still need to activate the creative side of my brain:

I know that in Write Me In, Finn is the musician, but I REALLY see Leo being a good guitar player, and in another AU the Cubs are dating in college and he's in a band that gets REALLY popular locally. He plays guitar, obvs, but sings backup vocals and lead vocals on some songs as well. I think he's influenced a lot by John Denver and Tracy Chapman (country without being conservative- I think contemporary country and the message it can often carry bothers him), and the Goo Goo Dolls. OH! And Pearl Jam. One of the songs his band frequently covers is 'Slide' by the Goo Goo Dolls, and every time he sings about getting married, running away, etc., he finds FinnLo in the audience and smiles at them.

Logan LOVES stew. Any kind of stew. He loves to sit in between his boys on the couch with fuzzy socks on and blankets covering him, watch sports, and eat a nice bowl of stew and some crusty bread.

Finn is REALLY fussy about desserts. He doesn't like things that are too sweet, but he also needs a little something-something after dinner. Leo finds a happy medium in baking him quick breads: pumpkin, zucchini, etc., because he can make them more spicy and less sweet.

Following the college AU from the first one, I imagine them going to school in the PNW region of the US. Think Washington? Or maybe mid-west, like Michigan State. Big state schools. OR, they all go to school in Boston, and Finn actually plays hockey at BU/BC, and Leo plays club tennis, and Logan swims (but he's also good at hockey, he just didn't want to play in college). FinnLo are still older- Finn is a senior and Logan is a junior when Leo is a freshman, but Finn stays to do grad school. He and Leo are both in their college's Honors Program. Logan is an RA.

Obviously, in my version of SW/Vaincre, Leo and Logan both propose. Finn feels guilty that he doesn't, but Leo and Logan remind him that, in queer relationships, people don't always have to be proposed back to. (It's obviously fine if you do, too! Every queer relationship is different and doesn't follow norms, that's kinda the point.) And, at the end of the day, gender roles DEFINITELY don't apply to their relationship, and what matters is that they all want to marry each other. However, Finn buys them each REALLY NICE silver/gold bracelets and 'proposes' to them just before their five-year wedding anniversary and asks them to renew their vows. Leo and Logan cry so hard. Every five years, then, for the rest of their lives, Finn 'proposes' to them and they renew their wedding vows that anniversary.

Finn has a really tough time after he retires with his changing body. He used to be fairly scrawny, and his primary form of exercise in retirement is running. He lifts 2-3 times a week, but it's not the same as playing professional hockey, and with all the cardio and his fast metabolism, he loses muscle mass and his body starts to look different SUPER fast. Leo and Logan have to work with him on it for a long time, and it's something he struggles with for years.

Leo forces Logan and Finn to do a nightly mobility routine with him, and he NEVER skips it. Things could be getting hot and heavy, and he BOLTS up from the bed and is like: 'We haven't done mobility yet tonight, let's go.' And FinnLo are like, 'Can't it wait til after, sunshine? WE could stretch you out. 😏'. Leo is just like, 'Nope, nuh-uh, get up.', and they roll their eyes fondly but follow him to get the yoga mats.

Logan is a biter. He bites his boys all the time. Sometimes, he does it without even realizing, and even in public. He just leans over and CHOMPS on Leo's back, or Finn's bicep. Sometimes, he'll bring their hands to his mouth and bite their fingers. They hardly feel it anymore, but they always smile and give him attention when he does it, which makes him a self-satisfied little fucker.

Can we get some VERY LITTLE angst with LOTS OF COMFORT AND FLUFF that maybe touches on the hurt that Leo felt when Logan got protective over Finn after his concussion it makes me want to cry how guilty he probably felt because Jack was the one who hurt Finn 🥲 and then Logan snapping at him probably solidified that guilt/ also made him feel like an outsider in their relationship

Poor sunshine. That was a tough time for him. :(

I kinda reworked this prompt a bit, because in Vaincre it does address some of the elements you mentioned, anon, HOWEVER, I do think I did it justice. Please let me know, though, if you want another perspective or something. Maybe a reflective Leo in NOLA (even though that angst would be yikes)?

I've FINALLY got a good chunk of prompts written, so please keep sending in more! They're a good brain exercise/creative escape when I need a break from my homework. To all going through finals right now- I feel you, I see you, and FUCK GROUP PROJECTS, oh my goodness. I'm never going to recover, I fear. It's not the people in the group, obviously, but holy smokes I work better solo. Sending thoughts and prayers to all those who feel the same as me, haha.

ANYWHO, enjoy a bit of angst, a lot of love, and a hefty amount of Logan Tremblay Weighted Blanket Extraordinaire (because his sunshine was gone for a LONG TIME, okay?! He went through a withdrawal and now has a Vitamin D deficiency, and the only cure is Leo's bare skin touching his for a MINIMUM of twelve hours of snuggles. So sue him.).

Credits to @lumosinlove !!

Leo never wanted to move from their arms again. Finn’s uninjured one was scratching the back of his head, and Logan was a warm heat against Leo’s back, hands clasped tight around his stomach. Leo breathed out a sigh and sank into the warmth even New Orleans couldn’t provide him.

“Hi, baby,” Finn whispered. He was pressing kisses softly over Leo’s face. “Hi, we missed you. Right, Lo?”

Leo felt Logan’s hum reverberate throughout his body. A kiss was dropped onto the back of his left shoulder. “Ouais, so much.”

Finn’s smile was soft and fond when he looked at Leo. “To what do we owe the surprise?”

Leo shrugged. He rubbed his hands up and down Finn’s ribs distractedly. “Just didn’t wanna stay away. Missed you. And…”

I think- I’m trying to say sorry.

You think?

I fucked up.

Yeah, Jack, you think?

“Le?”

Finn was a bit concerned now. Leo reached up with one hand to brush his hair back from his forehead carefully. His eyes flashed to the band of his sling. I’m sorry. For high school. For the lights, for these last few months, for O’Hara.

“Soleil?”

Leo opened up an arm for Logan to tuck into his side. He kissed his cheek. “I think I want to shower. Then we can- I can talk about it.”

Finn nodded. “Of course, yeah, of course.” He nudged their noses together and kissed him lightly. “Do you want us to come with you?”

Leo thought for a moment then shook his head. “I need to collect my thoughts. Please.”

“D’accord.” Logan reached up to cup Leo’s jaw and leaned in for a kiss. “We love you so much.”

“Love you.” Leo sighed and squeezed each of them, Finn a little more gently. “Okay, give me ten minutes.”

Leo felt the distance from them acutely while in the shower. He’d almost asked them to stay outside the shower doors. Logan would have started there, at least, but he would have wormed his way in to be close to Leo. And Finn would try and talk and distract him, because that was what he did, and he was so kind and gorgeous, but Leo didn’t need that right now- as much as he wanted it. Jack’s pinched face on the dock flashed through his mind. He sucked in a breath and turned the shower off hard, slipping a bit on the floor a bit as he grabbed a towel. He dripped water on the floor in his haste to get to their bedroom, but he hardly noticed.

When he opened the door, Finn was straddling Logan’s lap, both of them smiling softly and whispering. Finn had his good arm draped over Logan’s shoulder and was scratching his scalp. They both turned to look at Leo when he entered with happy eyes.

“Hi,” Leo whispered with a small smile.

Logan’s own smile got wider, if possible, and he nudged Finn off his lap to stand and press himself against Leo’s chest. His fingers played with the edge of the towel around Leo’s hips. He let out a sigh. “Je t’aime.”

Leo caught Finn’s eye over Logan’s head. The corner of his eyes were crinkled at the edges. “Grumpy missed you.”

Leo rested his cheek on top of Logan’s head. “Just him?”

“Obviously not.”

“I missed you, too.” He kissed Logan’s temple. “I gotta get changed.”

“Mm,” Logan hummed. “Non.”

“Ouais, honey, I do.”

Logan let out another soft noise of contentment. “Your accent sounds stronger.” He pulled back slightly to run his hands up and down Leo’s arms and kissed him. “I love it.”

Leo knew his face was red from blushing when he gave Logan a last kiss and turned to the dresser. He was searching for his favorite pair of Finn’s plaid boxers when he felt two arms wrap around his waist again. He hung his head back with a laugh. “Logan.”

When Logan didn’t say anything, Leo looked over his shoulder. Finn was still watching them with playful eyes.

“Lo, sweetheart, I gotta get changed.”

“Non, you don’t.”

“Oh my God. Okay, fine, stay there.”

It was a bit of a struggle, getting boxers on with a barnacle attached to his back, especially when Logan made a real effort to prevent Leo from putting them on in the first place. Leo turned to raise his eyebrows at him when he felt a playful tap to his butt. Logan was hiding his grin in the skin of Leo's shoulder, green eyes looking innocently up at him. Leo shook his head fondly and managed to pull the waistband around his hips. But when there was another pinch, he spun around and bent to wrap his arms under Logan’s thighs. Logan let out a loud laugh, squeezing his feet together in the small of Leo’s back as he was lifted. Leo narrowed his eyes.

“You’re trouble, Tremblay.”

“You realize he got exactly what he wanted, right?” Finn asked through his own laugh.

“Mhm.” Leo leaned in to nudge his and Logan’s noses together. “Like he somehow always does.”

Logan tucked his face in Leo’s neck. “Mm, ouais.”

Leo snorted. “You have no shame.”

He walked over to the bed and knelt on the mattress beside Finn, leaning over and falling on top of Logan. They both let out an oof and Logan threw his head back in a laugh, his face flushed in the way it got when he was really, truly happy. Leo leaned down to kiss his cheeks. He felt Finn press a warm palm to his back.

“Oh, baby,” Finn whispered, kissing Leo’s shoulders. “We’re so happy, we’re so happy you’re home.”

Leo shifted onto his side to lay in between them, Logan resting his head against his chest. “Me, too.”

Finn tugged on one of his curls. “How are you feeling?”

“Better,” Leo said. He pushed himself to sit up against the pillows, bringing Logan with him. “Better, definitely.”

“Good.” Finn kissed his forehead and Leo felt tension he didn’t know he was carrying melt away.

They sat there in silence for a minute. Finn and Logan were both watching Leo carefully, even as they kept their hands busy touching his skin and hair. Leo knew they were waiting for him to talk. He took a deep breath and watched Logan play with his fingers. “I saw Jack.”

Logan’s eyes darkened. His jaw clenched. “Quoi?”

Leo avoided their gazes. “He found me when I was bringing the boat in. This afternoon.”

Finn cupped Leo’s jaw to meet his eyes. “And?”

Leo chewed on his bottom lip. “He said he was sorry.”

Finn scoffed. “Good.” At Leo’s silence, Finn eyebrows furrowed. His fingers were still mindlessly playing with Leo’s jaw. “Not good?”

Leo felt his shoulders sink. “He said he was sorry.” He looked at Finn. “For you.” At Logan. “For high school. For the lights, for- everything. I don’t know, he held himself accountable. And I accepted it.” He shrugged. “So that’s that, I guess, but…” He felt his eyes heat up a bit. “I don’t know, I still feel…”

“Mon soleil.” Logan looked a bit sad as he straddled Leo’s lap, fingers coming to lace themselves through Leo’s curls. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, mon coeur.” He kissed Leo’s cheeks gently. “Mon amour,” he murmured.

“No.” Leo gripped Logan’s hips hard. “No, Lo, I’m sorry.”

“Quoi? What, no-”

“Yeah, yes.” Leo nodded quickly. He looked between Finn and Logan, who both had curious and hesitant looks on their faces. “I’m so sorry. About making Finn’s concussion about me, about leaving you in New York, I don’t- I don’t know why I did that, that was really mean, and I’m sorry. I love you so much, and I’m so sorry.”

“Whoa, whoa, hey,” Finn hushed. He knelt up to bring Leo’s head to rest against his chest on his good side. “Hey, Le, no, baby. No, baby, no.” He pressed his mouth into Leo’s hair. “Don’t be sorry, sweetheart, it’s not your fault.”

“It kind of is.” Leo pulled back to look at him. “I left Logan. In New York. And Jack did take his anger out on you, he told me. And he was angry at me, and so I- seeing him, and hearing him tell me, it just-” He let out a frustrated noise. “I guess I just realized how much I missed you. How separate I felt for a minute, and how much I didn’t like that.”

“Leo.” Logan coaxed Leo into looking at him. “We already said sorry, mon coeur. It’s all okay now.” He kissed Leo, firm but gentle. “I don’t want you to feel like that again, d’accord?”

“I know.” Leo nodded and sniffed. Logan brushed his thumbs over Leo’s cheeks where a few tears had fallen. “I know, sorry. I just- I think Jack just made me feel guilty again.”

Finn kissed Leo’s cheek hard. “Fucker.”

Despite that, Leo laughed. “I guess, yeah. A bit.” He let his head fall back and closed his eyes. “I don’t know, I still want him to be happy. But I don’t really want to see him.” He opened his eyes again. “Is that awful of me?”

“No,” Finn whispered. He was smiling softly. “No, baby, that’s not awful of you. I think that’s very big of you, wanting him to be happy, even though he hurt you. Not many people would.”

“Ouais, me.”

Leo threw his head back and gasped out a laugh. “Logan!”

“Quoi? It’s true!” He buried his face in Leo’s neck and kissed the skin there. “I don’t want to see you hurting.” He pulled away to look at Finn. “Either of you. He hurt you both, and I don’t like that.”

Leo’s laughter subsided and he pressed their foreheads together. “I know, sweetheart.” He kissed Logan’s lips quickly. “I don’t want to hurt anymore either. But I feel better.” He reached out for Finn’s hand and kissed the back of it. “And you? How are you feeling, baby?”

Finn smiled. “I’m so good. So good.” He moved to sit beside Leo, snuggling close with his nose in Leo’s neck. “So happy you’re better, baby. How was the rest of New Orleans?”

Leo could almost feel the warmth of his city on his skin if he thought hard enough. “Really, really good. Cooked a lot with my parents, saw my cousins, the neighbors. Took the boat out a lot and went fishing. Ran with my mama, got ice cream with dad. The usual.”

Finn hummed, busy kissing Leo’s jaw. “Good usual?”

Leo nodded. “Yeah. Really good.” He stretched out his legs under Logan’s weight. “Mama and dad are excited we’re coming down. Said they want to have a party for you if you win, Lo. Or even if you don’t. My cousins and stuff are dying to meet you both.”

“Oh, boy,” Finn said, waggling his eyebrows. “A southern-style welcome.”

“I will go,” Logan whispered, brushing his nose with Leo’s, as if he couldn’t help it. “If there is good food.”

Leo snorted. “Oh honey,” he said, shaking his head fondly. “You already know there will be. The Knuts cook some mean barbecue.”

“Bien,” Logan sighed. He wiggled happily in the cradle of Leo’s hips, then rested his head back on his chest. “Sleep.”

“Okay, hold on.”

Leo shifted himself down to lie flat on the bed, Logan a warm weight on top of him and Finn against his opposite shoulder, ankles intertwined. Finn pulled the covers over them and kissed each of their cheeks. “Feels good to have you back in bed,” he said with a yawn. “Was empty.”

“Mm.” Leo squeezed Finn’s ankles between his own. He sighed. “I always sleep better with you both.”

Logan made a slightly distressed noise. “Did you sleep in New Orleans?”

“A bit, yeah. Had to tire myself out a lot, though.” He rubbed a hand up and down Logan’s warm back. “Feels better when I’m home.”

“Yeah,” Finn agreed. His face was slack; two more minutes and he would be asleep. “Feels better when you’re home.”

Logan pressed a kiss right into the center of Leo’s chest. “Sleep, mon coeur. If you can’t, I’ll rub your back.”

Leo felt his breath hitch a bit. It felt so good to be home. “I love you,” he whispered.

“Love you.”

“Je t’aime.”

Leo closed his eyes. For the first time in what felt like months, with the heat of their skin against his, he felt himself finally relax as he drifted off to sleep.

Have some domestic morning fluff featuring yummy pastries! I know Love Lane sounds cheesy, but the town I go to college in actually does have a Love Lane and I think that's very cute. :)

Also, remember to always be dating your partner(s), no matter how long you have been together! It's very important. :)

I am steadily working on your prompts, so please keep them coming!

Finn turned the corner onto Love Lane just as the ending notes of Shiny Happy People drifted off in his headphones. He smiled as he slowed down to a jog, then a walk, stopping the run on his watch and pausing the music. His breathing was still quick and a bit labored, but he hummed happily as he approached Vivienne’s, pulling out his credit card from his running vest. He brought his mouth down to take a sip from the water bottle on his chest before opening the door, a light chime sounding from the bell above his head. Chantel was behind the counter today, her goddess braids piled into a clip in the back of her head, and she smiled when she saw him approach the counter.

“Bon matin, loverboy,” she greeted, placing her hands on the counter in front of her. “What’ll it be today?”

Finn shrugged and grinned at the pastries displayed proudly in front of him. “What do you got for me today, Chan?”

Chantel moved behind the glass case. “Well, for your sweeth-tooth-sweetheart, I’ve got a nice white chocolate and mixed berry filled croissant. Viv just perfected the recipe, and they are to die for. They’ve got a nice lemony hint, too.”

Finn nodded at her with a grin. “Yeah, okay. And for my sunshine?”

Chantel laughed and gestured to something on the far end. “Raspberry scones. A little sweet, but not too sweet- they’re tart, too. And for you,” she continued. “I’ve got some nice spinach and feta quiches.”

Finn nodded enthusiastically. “I’ll have two of those, please. Leo will just try and steal that from me anyways. Then a scone for him, too.” He thought for a minute. “And two of the croissants, please.” He flit his eyes up. “Lo will feel left out if I only get him one thing.”

Chantel laughed and proceeded to box up the pastries. “You got it.”

Finn leaned against the counter by the register. “How’s the wife?”

Chantel bobbed her head as she finished packaging. “Good. Viv’s back in the kitchen now. Said something about a summer focaccia.”

Finn hummed appreciatively. “That sounds good. Might have to save me some.”

Chantel flashed her eyes up at him teasingly. “Anything for our best customer.”

That made Finn laugh as he handed her his credit card. “Can’t help it I’ve got two hungry boys at home. And me.”

“Hey, we aren’t complaining,” Chantel said. “But bring Leo next time- he gives good constructive feedback.”

Finn saluted, then took the box. “You got it, boss.” He began to back out towards the door. “Say hi to Viv for me. I’ll see you later.”

“Bye, loverboy!” Chantel called after him.

He grinned and closed the door to the bakery behind him, box in one hand and phone in the other to text his boys. On my way home. Just stopped by Viv’s.

Okay, sweetheart! Leo’s text came. I’ve got coffee brewing, we’ll see you at home.

Finn sent back a string of hearts and pocketed his phone with a deep sigh. He rolled his neck- his back muscles were a bit stiff from their weights session the day before, and his legs from his run, but it felt good. He could probably bribe Leo with kisses into giving him a massage. It was a technique that he employed often and it always yielded good results. He smiled just thinking about it- Leo would sit him in a stool by the counter, Logan beside him. Logan would scratch Finn’s scalp- he really seemed to like that- as Leo used his strong, capable hands to knead out the knots near Finn’s neck that he got. They’d both periodically press kisses to Finn’s neck, his forehead- any skin that was reachable, really. Finn laughed to himself and quickened his pace, anxious to get home.

He tapped his toe impatiently as he waited in the elevator, clutching the box of pastries to his chest. His sweat was cooling just a bit, starting to become uncomfortable and a bit cold in the building’s air conditioning. He exited the elevator with a small shiver when he arrived at their floor, transferring the box to one hand to fiddle around in his running vest for his keys. He was struggling to balance the box and fit them in the lock when the door opened in front of him. Finn looked up to find Leo standing there and smiling at him in boxers and one of Finn’s Strand sweatshirts, the material around the hood a bit damp- from residual wetness on his skin from a shower, Finn presumed. He was tall, curly hair like a halo around his head, and so cute it made Finn want to squish his cheeks.

“Hi, sweetheart,” Leo said. He took the box from Finn and stepped back into the apartment. “Good run?”

“Yeah,” Finn said, following Leo into their apartment. “Hey, wait.”

“Hm?” Leo asked. He placed the pastry box on the counter and then made a noise of surprise when Finn tugged his hand and turned him around to press a hard kiss to his mouth. Leo let out a sigh through his nose and used his free hand to cup Finn’s cheek gently. When they pulled apart, Leo was grinning softly. “What was that for?”

Finn just wrapped his arms around Leo’s waist. “What, I need a reason to kiss my boyfriend?” He pressed his lips gently to Leo’s neck. “You just looked so gorgeous standing there waiting for me in my clothes. Made me want to do this.” He leaned back and took Leo’s face in his hands, applying a little pressure until the skin of his cheeks started to crinkle. “You’re so squishable.”

Leo snorted, but he was still smiling. “You sure know how to hand out compliments.”

“Mm,” Finn said. He leaned in to kiss Leo once more. “It’s easy when it’s you.”

Leo smacked his hip lightly but kissed him back. They stayed there for a moment, Finn’s arms winding around Leo’s neck, kissing softly in the morning kitchen light, until a weight fell against Finn’s back.

“Oof,” Finn gasped against Leo’s mouth. “Morning, Tremblay. You’re heavy this morning.”

“Non,” Logan said. He stepped around and bullied his way in between them, his face pressed into Finn’s neck. “Ici.”

Finn ducked down to kiss his mouth softly. “Hi, baby. Sleep okay?”

“Ouais,” Logan nodded. He tucked his face back down. “Missed you when you left.”

Finn grinned at Leo over Logan’s head. “Oh yeah?”

“Ouais,” Logan said again. He lifted his head gently to look at Finn. “What did you bring me?”

Finn scoffed and kissed his cheek. “What, you only want me for my money? Want me to buy you things?”

“No,” Leo laughed.

“Hey,” Finn said. He leaned to bring his mouth next to Logan’s ear and looked up at Leo. “You know I’ll buy you all the things if you want.”

“I know, sweetheart,” Leo said. Finn closed his eyes when he kissed his forehead. “But pastries are enough.”

“Good,” Finn replied. He pressed a smacking kiss to Logan’s head then turned him gingerly into Leo’s arms. Logan grumbled, but wrapped his arms around Leo’s torso and squeezed tightly, Leo doing the same around his waist. Finn smiled softly at them, then turned to the pastries. “Chan gave me a couple of quiches for us, Le, and I got you a scone. And Lo, I got you two white chocolate and berry croissants. Sound good?”

“Ouais,” Logan nodded. He peered over into the box. “Looks good.”

Finn smiled. “Good. How about I shower, then we eat?”

Leo nodded and kissed Logan’s head. “I’ll pour your coffee, honey. You go shower.”

“Thanks nutter butter,” Finn said. He placed a kiss on each of their cheeks. “Love you. I’ll be right back.”

Finn stripped off his clothes in the bathroom before turning on the water and stepping through their shower door. He smiled as he turned his head up into the spray, pushing his hair back from his face. The sound of the door opening reverberated through the bathroom, and he opened his eyes to peer out through the fogged glass doors to see a silhouette. Logan.

“Rouge?”

“Yeah, baby?”

“I put your towel in the dryer. I'm leaving it here on the toilet.”

Finn laughed. God, Logan was so cute sometimes, and he didn't even realize it. “Thanks, baby.”

“Ouais,” Logan replied. Finn could hear him open the bathroom door again.

“You sure you don't want to join?” he asked suggestively.

He could hear Logan’s grin. “I'm helping Le with breakfast. He's getting out the nice plates.”

Finn felt his heart skip in his chest. “You're both such sweethearts.” He turned to grab the soap. “I'll hurry and be out in a couple minutes.” He turned to look at Logan through the glass, even though he couldn't completely see him. “I'll be expecting lots of kisses, please.”

“Ouais,” Logan laughed. “Je t'aime, we'll wait for you.”

Finn heard the door close and finished washing his body, slipping out of the shower and wrapping himself in the warm towel that Logan had given him. It even smelled like Logan, just a bit, and Finn brought it up to his nose to inhale his familiar scent. He walked to their bedroom and threw on a pair of boxers and Leo's New Orleans Saints sweatshirts. That, too, smelled like Logan, with a hint of Leo's cologne- they must have both worn it recently. Finn felt all wrapped up in them and smiled as he made his way to the kitchen.

Logan, who was sat at a stool with a cup of coffee in front of him, turned as he heard Finn walk into the room. “Salut.”

Finn folded him back against his chest and pressed a kiss to his cheek. Logan turned his head to kiss Finn more squarely on the lips and Finn grinned. “Hi, baby.”

Logan sniffed at his neckline. “You smell good.”

Finn hummed. “Smell like you. And Le. Did you both wear this or something?”

Leo nodded. “He wore it when we were reading last night while you were out with Alex.” His eyes were twinkling. “He sprayed me with my cologne and then rubbed himself all over me.”

Logan rolled his eyes. “I did not.”

Leo snorted as he turned to pour coffee in Finn's mug. “Well it certainly wasn't cuddling. You were like a dog, just flopped down on me.”

“Our very own pitbull,” Finn teased, biting at Logan's jaw. “A tough exterior, but really just needs cuddles like he needs air.”

Logan scoffed. “You like it. Besides,” he continued, turning to grip at Finn’s hair. “I need to let them know you're mine.”

Leo laughed. “Who?”

Logan turned to look at him as though it was obvious. “Everyone.”

Finn smiled dopily at him, at Leo. Sometimes he couldn't believe his luck. He had two boys, two kind, gorgeous boys, that he got to love. “As if I would choose anyone else,” he said, squeezing tighter around Logan’s broad chest. Logan melted back into him. They both watched Leo’s back as he plated their pastries. Finn sighed happily. “Le.”

“Yeah?” Leo asked. He was focused on his task.

“Leo,” Finn said.

“What, sweetheart?” Leo’s voice was gentle, but he was still not looking at them.

“Allez,” Logan urged.

“Look here, baby,” Finn said softly.

Leo turned, licking berry jam off his finger, and placed Logan’s plate in front of him. “What? I'm almost done with breakfast, Fish, I just need to put some milk in your-”

Logan interrupted him by grabbing abruptly for his hand and tugging him to lean across the counter. Leo just had time to widen his eyes before Logan was kissing him. He hummed and relaxed his body into the marble countertop, one hand making its way up to cup Logan’s cheek. Finn felt his body warm watching them and he dropped a kiss to Logan’s shoulder.

After a brief moment, Leo pulled back with a smile. “What was that for?”

Finn made a noise in the back of his throat. “Enough of that question.” He hooked his chin over Logan’s shoulder to look Leo in the eyes. “You’re just too gorgeous. We can’t resist you.”

Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “Sorry, I’m just not used to being tugged around and kissed in the kitchen.”

“Non?” Logan asked teasingly. “We can do it more often.”

“Yeah,” Finn said. He waggled his eyebrows. “Here I come, nutter butter.”

He untangled himself from Logan and crossed to the other side of the counter. Leo’s eyes and fond expression told him he knew what was coming, but Finn pulled him firmly to him by his waist anyways. The sides of Leo’s eyes were crinkling when Finn got him close. He gripped around the small of Leo’s back and leaned up to kiss him hard. He was probably being too sloppy, and definitely using too much tongue, but Leo was leaning backwards over his arm, enough for Finn to grasp at the back of his neck with his other hand and dip him. Leo made a surprised noise against his mouth, which turned into a breathy laugh as he held on tightly to Finn’s shoulders. Finn pulled away to smile down at him, his blond curls hanging off his head towards the floor, and his face all flushed red and please.

“You’re so much trouble, O’Hara,” Leo teased.

Finn nipped lightly at his perfect cupid’s bow. “Only for you.” He pulled them upright and turned to grin at Logan, who was watching them with his face resting gently on his palm. “Alright, lovers. How about some food?”

“Yes, I’m starving,” Leo said. Finn smacked his butt lightly as he turned to grab his and Finn’s plates. Leo just raised his eyebrows. “Go sit, honey.”

Finn kissed his cheek then walked back around the counter to sit by Logan, pressing their shoulders together. They watched as Leo put the finishing touches on their breakfast: some nice silverware, his and Finn’s coffee, a glass of water for each of them. Leo stood across from them, fork poised over his quiche, and Finn did the same. The first bite was heavenly, a bit salty from the feta, a bit sweet from the tomatoes. Finn hummed appreciatively and looked up at Leo. “Good?”

Leo closed his eyes and nodded. “Yeah, really good. Gosh, Viv just knows how to combine flavors, that’s for sure.”

Finn grinned. “She was in the kitchen making a summer focaccia when I got there. Chan said she’d save us some this week, and that I should bring you in to give feedback.”

Leo laughed delightedly. “Aw, that’s very sweet.”

Finn nodded. “Speaking of sweet.” He turned to look at Logan, who was already halfway through his first pastry. “How’s the croissant, my sweet-tooth baby?”

Logan made an appreciative noise before swallowing. “Ouais, really good.” He took another big bite. “The jam is good.”

Leo snorted and reached out with his own napkin to wipe some of it off of Logan’s mouth. “Slow down there, sweetheart, you’ll get a stomach ache.”

“But it’s so good,” Logan retorted. He looked up at Leo through his lashes. “Can you make croissants with jam sometime?”

Leo tilted his head and looked at him fondly. “Sure, honey. I’ll get my mama’s recipe. She used to make them when we had guests over all the time.”

“Merci,” Logan said, already going back in for another bite. He looked content, all tan and soft from the summer, back from New York for a few months. Finn loved the way he looked in their kitchen, when he would sit on the counter while Leo cooked, when he would help Finn dry the dishes, when he’d help Leo chop vegetables for dinner.

Finn loved him so much he thought he would explode, and so leaned over to kiss his cheek. “Love having you home, baby.”

Logan turned to brush their noses together. “Love being home.” He kissed Finn lightly then turned to Leo. “Soleil?”

“Hm?” Leo asked. He had moved onto the scone now. “Yeah?”

Logan laughed. Leo was always starving first thing in the morning, and not a lot could distract him from eating. “Regarde-moi.”

Leo held up a finger and swallowed the last bit of his scone. “That was really tasty, wow.” He wiped his fingers on his napkin and stood up straighter, taking Logan’s hand. “What is it, Lo?”

Logan bit his lip and looked at each of them. “Wanna take you both on a date.”

Leo furrowed his brows. “Ouais, of course. You wanna go to the Sunstone for supper, or-”

“Non,” Logan interrupted. He kissed Leo’s hand and wove the fingers of his other hand into Finn’s hair. “I want to get all dressed up and go to a place on the river. And drive you there, and hold the door for you, and pull out your chairs.” He was blushing a bit, but smiling, and Finn was going to melt into the floor. Leo looked a little stunned, and Logan played with his fingers. “And I want to sit across from you, and look at you, and tangle our ankles under the table. And then we’ll go for a walk on the path by the water, and hold hands, and then I’ll buy you gelato near the beach.” His green eyes were sparkling. “Then I’ll kiss you at sunset, and then drive you home and kiss you some more. Kiss you goodnight.”

Finn sucked in a breath. He felt floaty. “Lo…”

“I want to take you on dates all summer,” Logan said. His voice was firm and happy. “To the beach, to a cabin in the woods. Take you dancing.” He closed his eyes dreamily. “Gonna kiss you everywhere we go. Hold your hands when we walk down the street.”

Leo was blushing hard now, looking as smitten as Finn felt. “Oh. Logan, that’s…”

“That sounds amazing,” Finn finished. Leo nodded at him. “Shit, that sounds so good.”

“I love you,” Logan said. He tugged Leo’s hand. “Ici.”

Leo obeyed, walking around the counter to stand beside their chairs. Logan stood and once again tugged insistently at him, wrapping his arms around Leo’s neck. Finn was struggling to breath with how gorgeous they looked together.

Logan turned him and Leo slightly and leaned against Finn’s side when Finn wrapped an arm around his waist. “I want to date you,” Logan whispered softly. “Now that the world knows, I want to take you everywhere, show everyone you’re mine. I want to date you now and forever.”

Leo was smiling so hard that his button nose was scrunching. “I love you.” He leaned down to kiss Logan softly a few times, their lips brushing gently against one another. When they pulled apart, he leaned down to do the same with Finn. “I love you so much.”

Finn kissed him once more for good measure, then turned to Logan. Their lips met and Finn felt his breathing hitch. He imagined that, when he pulled apart and looked at them, that he had a ridiculous, love-struck expression, but he didn’t care. “Forever wouldn’t be enough with you two.” He leaned his head on Logan’s shoulder. “I love you both more than anything.”

“Ouais,” Logan said. His eyes were soft. He leaned up on his toes to press his forehead to Leo’s. “Toujours.”

Finn smiled, pressed a kiss to Logan’s shoulder, and then straightened. He lifted his arms above his head to stretch, then winced when pain shot up his upper back. Leo made a noise and came to stand behind him. “Want me to massage it out, sweetheart?”

Finn tilted his head to smile at him upside down. “If you don’t mind, gorgeous. That’d be great, thank you.”

Leo kissed the top of his head and worked his strong thumbs just below Finn’s neck. Finn groaned, his head lolling just a little. Logan boosted himself onto his stool once more and scratched at Finn’s scalp. As if on cue, they both leaned to kiss him, Logan on his neck and Leo on the side of his head. Finn burst out laughing.

“Quoi?” Logan asked. His eyes were amused. “What happened?”

Finn was still laughing and shaking his head. He reached one hand up to cup Logan’s cheek and the other one back to lace his fingers with Leo’s on his shoulder. “Nothing. I just love you.” He closed his eyes. “I love you very, very much.” Finn opened his eyes. “Hey, kiss me again.”

And with their smiles against his skin and their hands on him, Finn felt all of the tension float out of his body. If he spent the rest of the summer like this, well… he’d consider himself lucky in love, indeed.

Ik your writing is usually really fluffy but I have had such a bad week and I need to cry and leo is my comfort character, would you be willing to write any type of Leo centric angst and hurt/comfort? With a lot of fluffy happy ending of course! (If you don’t want to you obviously don’t have to! Reading anything you write cheers me up anyways!!!)

We interrupt your regularly scheduled program to answer an ask out of order so we can help our friend have a better day! I recommend setting the phone down for a while and consuming some sort of creative art- watching a movie, reading a book, listening to music. Oh, and eating some chocolate! Chocolate cures a lot. Sending you lots and lots of love! <3

Have some Leo being a worried son, some Leo-and-Reg bonding time, and FinnLo being the "Best Husbands Ever" while Eloise is a little under the weather down in NOLA!

TW: mentions of car accidents, mentions of death, DUI, hospitals.

Credits to @lumosinlove !!

Leo tapped his foot against the linoleum hospital floor anxiously. His back hurt from sitting in such a low-backed chair for so long, but he wasn’t moving until his dad got back- Leo had to practically shove him out the door with a demand to go shower and get Eloise her favorite roasted garbanzo beans from the local market. He flashed his eyes towards where his mama was sitting up against the flimsy hospital pillows, phone held up to her ear and a smile on her face as she talked to Regulus, the French flowing naturally out of her mouth.

“Non, he didn’t!” Eloise threw her head back and laughed- Leo winced at the way it tugged on her IV.

“Mama, be careful,” he said, placing a hand on her thigh.

She just patted his wrist with a fond shake of her head, then went back to speaking to Regulus. “Well, what did you do?” She furrowed her brows for a second, then laughed loudly again. “Oh, they must have been so mad! Oh, Regulus, sweetheart, you’re evil. Did you give them homework, too?” She paused, fiddling with the ends of her blonde curls. “Well, I expect the practice served them on the test.”

Behind Leo, the door clicked open. He turned to see his father step through, canvas shopping bags in his hands. Wyatt looked up at him. “Ça va?” he whispered.

Leo nodded. “Ouais. She’s talking to Regulus.”

Wyatt smiled. “Good.” He walked over and pressed a kiss to the top of Leo’s head, then to Eloise’s cheek. She scrunched her nose happily at him, then nodded into the phone.

“Yes, honey, Wyatt’s here. I’ll tell him you say hi. Want me to give you to Leo?” There was a brief pause, Regulus’ voice muffled through Leo’s cell phone speaker. Eloise smiled and laughed once more. “Merci, sweetheart. You have a good afternoon, okay? Ok, bye, bye.” She held out the phone to Leo. “Here you go, baby.”

“Thanks, mama.” Leo stood and kissed her head. “I’ll be right back.”

He put the phone up to his ear as he closed the hospital room door behind him. Regulus must have heard the click, because he laughed through the phone. “She sounds good.”

Leo nodded, even though Regulus couldn’t see him. “Ouais. She’s better.” He sat down heavily in a chair in the hallway. “The surgery went well. Fixed her femur all up, and she’s just got that and some bruising on her ribs now. Minor concussion, too.”

“Mm.” There was some shuffling of papers. “And the driver of the truck?”

Leo rubbed a hand across his forehead. “DUI. He was drunk as hell, Reg, I mean-” His voice caught. “She was- Jesus Christ, she was so bad when the ambulance brought her in. And he- he could’ve killed her, Regulus, and I-” Leo bit his lip to muffle the sound, but a tear did fall down his cheek. “I can’t live without my mama.”

“Hey, hey, whoa, Le.” Regulus sounded closer to the phone now, and he was speaking in a hushed tone. “She’s gonna be just fine. Hurt, but fine. And it’s June, you and Finn and Logan could stay the whole summer, if you want. I’ll come down and visit her, too, once I’ve cleaned out my classroom.”

“Yeah, but France-”

“Fuck France.” Leo could almost see Regulus’ wince. “Non, sorry, not ‘fuck France’, but- Leo, your mom had a really serious accident, okay? And you might need to stay for a while to help her and your dad out. The Tremblays will understand.”

Leo gnawed on his cheek. “But Finn and Logan. They were looking forward to it.”

“You mean those husbands of yours who literally worship the ground you walk on? They’ll be just fine. And if they need to, they can go to France for a week and come back.” On the other line, Regulus let out a breath. “But I’m sure they won’t want to do that. In fact, if you try and make them, Finn will pull out his puppy dog eyes, and Logan will glare so hard at you you might turn to ash for suggesting he leave you.”

Leo laughed wetly. “Yeah. You’re right.”

“These things happen, unfortunately, Le, and you just deal with it, you know? And that might mean sacrificing in some other areas. But you also gain something. You’d get to spend the summer with your parents and your husbands in New Orleans, which I know you miss more than you like to admit.”

“You’re right,” Leo sighed.

“Wow, twice in one conversation? I’m glad you admit it, I am pretty smart.”

Leo rolled his eyes, but smiled. “Ha-ha, shut up.”

“Non, too late. My ego has grown. It’s so big you can see it all the way down there in Louisiana.”

“Okay, okay, wow, I didn’t mean to do that, geez.” Leo softened a little, relaxing into the hard plastic chair. “Thank you. I needed this.”

“I know you did. Are you going home for the night?”

“Yeah. Finn and Logan are cleaning the house, and lots of folks have been bringing things around. Food and stuff. So, they’re chatting with neighbors when they stop by.” He snorted. “Or, at least, Finn is. I think Logan has been hiding in the garden, mostly.”

Regulus laughed. “Sounds like him.” There was another rustling sound. “Listen, I’ve gotta go, I’ve gotta sort all these textbooks my students returned last week. But I’ll call you tomorrow, d’accord?”

“D’accord.” Leo sighed. “Love you.”

“Love you, too, Le. Talk to you tomorrow.”

Leo hung up the phone and let out a deep breath, letting his head rest for a brief moment against the wall behind him before standing and walking back into his mother’s room once more. His mother was relaxed against the pillows and talking with his dad in a soft voice. She smiled up at him when he walked through. “Hi, sweetheart.” She reached out a hand for him to take. “Good?”

He nodded. “Yeah. How are you feeling?”

She tisked and squeezed his fingers. “The same as when you asked twenty minutes ago, honey. A little banged up, but I’m alright.”

“D’accord.” He bent and kissed her cheek. “You need anything?”

She raised her eyebrows at him. “For you to go home.”

“Mama-”

“Nope, go, sweetheart.”

She opened her arms and he knelt by the bed, gently folding himself against her chest. Leo felt so small against her, even as an adult. His dad put a hand on his back, and being in between his parents, being held like they had held him for so many years that felt so far away, made his eyes swell up.

Eloise felt his shuddering breath and kissed his head hard a few times. “I know those husbands of yours are waiting for you. Finn’s probably friends with half the neighborhood by now, and Logan sent me a picture of the garden all weeded, so he’s probably anxiously waiting for all those people to leave so he can have you all to himself.” At Leo’s teary laugh, she squeezed him a bit tighter. “Go home, sweetheart. They’re gonna bring a cot in for Wyatt so he can stay, okay? I’ll be just fine. You can come back with Finn and Logan tomorrow, please, I miss my boys.”

Leo smiled. “Ouais, they miss you, too.” He tucked his face into her neck and squeezed gently. “I love you.”

“Oh, my baby, I love you so much. You’re the best son I could ever ask for.” She kissed his forehead once more, then let him go. “Now, up you get. You need a shower and some food, you’re looking pale.”

“Mama.”

She raised her eyebrows at him once more. “I don’t care if I’m injured, or that you’re a grown man- you’re my baby, and you still gotta listen to me when I tell you to take care of yourself.”

Leo smiled. “Ouais.” He turned to his father and gave him a tight hug. “Love you, dad.”

Wyatt hugged him tightly and patted his back. “See you tomorrow, Le. Drive safe, and text me when you get home.”

Leo took a sharp breath in. That phrase held a lot more meaning now, and Leo could feel himself and his dad carrying that weight in the tension of their shoulders. “Yeah. Yeah, I will.”

***

Home, Leo texted twenty minutes later as he stepped through the door, toeing off his shoes. Love you, I’ll see you tomorrow.

“Is that my sexy sunshine baby?” came Finn’s voice from the kitchen. He appeared, a dish towel over his shoulder, smiling wide enough to make the freckled corners of his eyes crinkle. “Hi, gorgeous.”

“Hi.” Leo walked forward into Finn’s arms, dropping his head tiredly onto his shoulder. “How are you?”

“Good.” Finn squeezed him tightly. “Just packed up the rest of the food. Eloise has got a village looking out for her, that’s for sure, I met, like, fifteen people today.”

Leo felt his eyes start to heat up as he nodded against Finn’s neck. “Yeah. Yeah, she does.”

“Oh, Le.” Finn carded a hand through his hair and kissed his cheek. “Sh, I know, baby.”

“No, it’s just-” Leo pulled back and wiped his eyes. Finn still had his hands firmly cupping Leo’s hips, and Leo was grateful for the sturdiness of them. “I’m just so grateful she’s okay, God, I can’t- it felt like I couldn’t breathe when my dad called me.”

“I know.” Finn reached up with one hand to cup Leo’s cheek gently. “I’m sorry, Le. You love your mama so much.”

That brought a new wave of sadness over Leo and he squeezed his eyes shut hard. “I don’t- Finn, I can’t do life without her, I just can’t do it, and she almost-” His breath hitched even harder. “If she had-”

“But she didn’t.” Finn brought his other hand up and gripped Leo’s jaw more assuredly. “Hey, look at me.” When Leo did, it was to Finn’s soft brown eyes looking back at him, so loving, even when they were sad. “She didn’t,” he whispered firmly. “She’s here, and she’s going to be fine, baby. She’s not going anywhere.”

Leo fell forward slightly, and Finn was there to catch him as his sobs grew louder, his tears soaking the fabric of Finn’s T-shirt. The sound of hurried footsteps descending the stairs reverberated around the room, and then Logan was there, too, at their sides, panting and hair slightly wet from the shower. His eyes were wide and worried as he settled a hand on Leo’s waist.

“Soleil.” His voice was low and frantic. “Soleil, what happened?” He jerked his head over to look at Finn. “What’s wrong, what happened?” When Leo just let out another cry, Logan tangled his fingers in his hair and rested his mouth on Leo’s jaw. “Mon soleil. Sh, sh, mon soleil, c’est bien, mon coeur.”

“I’m sorry,” Leo gasped, standing up straighter again to look at them both. “I’m so sorry.”

“Non.” Logan stood on his toes, wrapping his arms around Leo’s neck to pull him down and kissed his forehead. “Non, mon amour, don’t be sorry.”

“I just- she looked so small in the hospital bed, and I almost lost-”

“Non, non, Le.” Logan squeezed their bodies together tighter, and Finn wrapped his arms around them both. “Non, Le, don’t talk like that. That won’t help you, mon amour.”

“Lo’s right, baby.” Finn’s head was also ducked close, his lips against Leo’s other ear. “That’s not healthy. Eloise is okay, Le, and she loves you so much. She wouldn’t want you to think like that.”

“I’m so-”

Logan pulled back quickly and pressed a finger to Leo’s lips. “Non.” He replaced his finger with his lips, his kiss soft and sweet. “Je t’aime.”

Leo rested their foreheads together. He sniffed. “Thank you.”

“Oh, my love.” Finn wiped the tears from under his cheeks. “Let’s get some food in you, baby, then a shower and bed. We can watch a movie, or I’ll read to you.”

Leo looked up at him through his wet eyelashes. “Read, please?” He closed his eyes. “Love your voice.”

Finn pressed his smile into Leo’s forehead. “Of course I can.” He kissed Leo quickly, then Logan, then took them both by the hand to lead them into the kitchen. “Now, Mrs. Dubois brought over some pot roast that smells amazing, and some roasted potatoes. How’s that sound?”

“Good.” Leo squeezed his hand and sat at the counter. “Thank you both for managing the house today. I know that was kind of a lot.”

Finn waved his hand as he dug through the fridge. “Nah, it was fun, you got a lot of cool people here. I had a blast.”

Leo smiled. “My mama thought you might.” He turned to Logan, who had tucked himself into Leo’s side and was carding gentle fingers through his hair. “She also said that you were probably hiding from all those people in the garden.”

Finn snorted. “She knows you so well, Lo.”

Logan scowled slightly, but his eyes were still soft. “There were too many. And they stayed to talk forever, mon Dieu.” He looked up to Leo, green eyes wide and seeking approval. “I weeded the garden, soleil, and harvested some things.”

Leo kissed his forehead in appreciation. “Thank you, sweetheart.” He took a deep breath. “I was also thinking…”

They both turned to look at him. Logan tugged gently on his T-shirt. “Ouais?”

Leo looked between them cautiously. “I think I want to stay and train here this summer. To help my mama and dad.” He looked down at his hands. “Which means I wouldn’t go to France.”

“We,” Finn said softly. He reached across the counter and titled Leo’s chin up with two fingers to look him in the eye. “We wouldn’t go to France.”

Leo shook his head. “No, I can’t- Logan’s family-”

“Non, soleil, they’ll understand.” Logan kissed his shoulder. “I’ll call maman tomorrow.”

Leo sighed. “Are you sure you two don’t want to go?”

Finn looked genuinely confused. “What?”

“Like…” Leo sighed again and waved with his hands. “Like, you could go for a week, to relax and see Logan’s family, and I’ll stay.”

Finn scoffed. “Uh, no thank you.” He walked around the counter and wrapped Leo up from behind. “I am on summer break, away from dozens of crazy teenagers, and my husbands are finally done with the hockey season. We are not spending a single day apart, you understand? Not a damn one.”

“But-”

“No ‘buts’, sunshine.” Finn kissed him briefly upside down. “We are planting ourselves right down here this summer. Lots of boat rides, gardening, evening runs, and sunshine.”

“Ouais,” Logan said from his place against Leo’s chest. “Lots of sunshine.” He rested his chest against Leo’s chest and looked up at him. “D’accord?”

Leo nodded, brushing Logan’s hair back from his forehead. “D’accord.” He let his head fall back against Finn’s shoulder. “I’m starving.”

“Coming right up, nutter butter baby.” Finn sauntered around to pick up the pot roast container and dump the meat into the pot on the stove. “Let me just heat it up and we’ll be good to go.”

Leo winced. “Finn, are you sure you don’t want me to-”

“Hey! I can heat up pot roast,” he scoffed, turning to grab the potatoes next. “I don’t need anyone’s- shit!” Finn barely caught the pot he had bumped with his hip, looking with wide eyes as some of the meat juice fell on the floor. His fingers shook as he precariously put the heavy pot back on the stove and turned towards them sheepishly. “Uh. Well.”

Leo rolled his eyes fondly. “You have zero spacial awareness, honey.” He gave Logan a kiss and walked around to join Finn at the stove, nudging his hip with his own. “Go, you two set the table. I’ll reheat dinner.”

“Are you sure-”

“Finn.” Leo raised his eyebrows amusedly as he pulled out a sheet pan for the potatoes. “I love you both more than anything, but please go set the table.”

“Right.” A pause. “Are you sure?”

“Rouge,” Logan laughed. “Allez, Le said he’s fine.”

“But-”

“Sweetheart.” Leo turned towards him and cupped his hips, kissing him soundly. “Go.”

Finn looked a little dazed. “‘Kay.” He looked over his shoulder at Leo as he and Logan began to get the plates and silverware out. “But you can’t use kisses to get me to do things all the time, okay?”

Leo looked him up and down. “No?”

Leo and Logan shared a look as Finn’s ears turned red. “No.”

Logan stood on his toes and sucked gently on Finn’s jaw. “Non?”

Finn’s eyes fluttered shut briefly before he opened them with a sharp inhale and what sounded like a whine. “Stop that.”

Logan’s grin was mischievous. He winked at Leo, making him warm all over, and not for the first time that day, Leo thought about the lucky hand he’d been dealt. His face must have reflected it, because Logan sent him a fond smile and settled a soft hand on Finn’s back.

“Allez, mon rouge,” he said, his eyes on Leo. They were warm and loving and the most beautiful shade of green Leo had ever seen. “Let’s set the table.”

just anything fluffy and domestic pls I just wanna see our boys happy 🥹🥹

Every time I write "husbandS" my computer wants to correct it to "husbanD", which is SEVERLY homophobic, my goodness. Like, Finn has two husbands, okay, Microsoft? So do Leo and Logan. They're a package deal. Golly gee.

All credits to @lumosinlove !!

Finn turned his face into Logan's bicep and brushed his lips gently against the warm skin. Logan hummed into his hair and stroked his arm from where it was wrapped around him. The beach was peaceful in the late summer evening, only a few other people dotting the quiet Mediterranean seaside. They had spent all morning in Logan's maman's family home, Leo cooking an incredible lunch with some fresh vegetables and chicken from the market. The white wine had been sweet on Finn's tongue, then Logan's as they'd kissed while watching Leo bustle around the stove. A satiating morning had turned into a scorching afternoon, which Leo had happily declared called for a beach day. He had been so gorgeous and giddy as they'd set down their stuff on the sand, immediately running into the waves as soon as Finn had finished rubbing sunscreen on his back. Finn and Logan had followed, and Finn had taken every opportunity to toss his boys around in the ocean, for nothing else but to see their smiles and hear their beautiful, tinkly laughs.

Now, though, Finn was sleepy, snuggled against Logan on their beach blanket. It was warm with both of their body heat, but neither of them minded. Finn, in fact,  never wanted to be any further from Logan than this.

He opened a tired eye and lifted his head to glance at the ocean. The sunset was golden and orange, a sharp contrast to the bright blue water. If he squinted hard enough, though, he could distinguish a wheat-colored head bobbing out in the sea. He smiled and pinched Logan’s hip. Logan’s chest shifted under his head.

“Quoi?” Logan's voice was gravelly from disuse.

“Look. Out in the ocean.”

Finn felt Logan’s neck strain for a moment and then his chest shook with a laugh. “We are never getting him out of there, are we?”

“I know,” Finn said, shaking his head fondly. “He's like our own little water bug.”

“A very handsome water bug.”

“Oh, for sure, baby.” Finn sighed and snuggled further into Logan's chest. “I like it here.”

Logan smiled down at him. “Ouais?”

“Uh huh.” Another sigh. “It's very peaceful.”

“Mm.” Logan kissed his forehead. “You're so beautiful here. Le, too.”

Finn smiled into Logan's skin. “Yeah?”

“Ouais.” Logan made a content noise. “Si beaux.”

Finn closed his eyes once more, weighed down by the hot air and Logan's warm body. He felt calm, breathing even and measured. Logan would every now and then place a kiss on Finn's head or scratch his hand through Finn's hair. It was soothing, relaxing, a nice break from the constant chaos of the hockey season. It was easier, now that Logan was back in Gryffindor, but Finn still sometimes felt that they barely saw each other during the week. He felt so grateful for the almost three months of rest he could sing.

Finn didn't know how long he and Logan had been laying there, but after a time he felt the ground rumble slightly underneath him, and opened his eyes to find Leo staring down adoringly at them both. He smiled. “Hi, butter baby. Having fun?”

“Mm hm,” Leo said. He reached for a towel to dry himself off. “Good nap?”

“Ouais,” Logan replied. He patted the blanket on his other side. “Ici, soleil.”

“I'm gonna get you all wet, honey.”

“Non, lay your towel down on top of the blanket.” He looked up at Leo through his lashes, and Finn grinned into his skin. Logan's eyelashes were long and thick, and he got anything he wanted when he looked at them like that. “I want to snuggle.”

Leo sighed. “Only you want to snuggle when it's boiling outside.”

Finn shrugged. “You'll cool us down, sweetheart.”

“Allez,” Logan said insistently. “Leo.”

Leo shook his head fondly but walked around to the other side of them, laying his towel down carefully on top of the blanket. Finn felt the vibrations in Logan's body when Leo laid his head on his chest and reached across to gently rub Leo’s torso. He was tan, both of his husbands were, a bit softer now that they weren't in the playoffs. Finn liked to imagine a day when they were all a bit softer; they'd always be athletic and always be strong, but he dreamed of kissing their soft bellies as much as he currently loved to dig his teeth into their defined abs. He breathed heavily into Logan's chest and burrowed himself in closer.

“Rouge?” Logan asked softly. “You okay?”

Finn nodded. “I just really love you.” He kissed Logan's warm skin. “I want to stay here forever.”

“That sounds good to me,” Leo agreed gently. He bumped his forehead against Finn's where they were both laying on Logan. “Hey, wanna get married again? Right here, right now?”

That made Logan and Finn laugh. “That sounds like something I would say, baby,” Finn said.

Leo shrugged, blue eyes bright and playful. “What can I say? You rubbed off on me.” He shifted to prop himself up on an elbow and turned slightly sideways, chin against Logan’s chest. “So, what do you think? Marry me again?”

Finn couldn't help the shameless grin that spread over his face. “Anytime you want, baby.”

“Oui,” Logan whispered. He wrapped an arm around Leo's shoulders to bring him into a kiss. He didn't let them separate, pressing their temples together with their eyes closed. “I'll marry you a thousand times, mon coeur. I'll marry you forever.”

They looked so beautiful in the sunset, all tucked together and close, that it stole Finn's breath. “I love forever,” he said. He leaned over to kiss each of them, now sprawled across Logan's chest. “I'll take all the forevers with you.”

Leo scrunched his nose around his grin. “That doesn't sound so bad.”

Finn snorted. “‘Not so bad’, he says.” He shifted to look at Leo directly, nose to nose. “I'll have you know that they call me Heartthrob O'Hara for a reason. I could have a line of suitors and I'd still choose you forever.”

“Non, no suitors,” Logan said grumpily, squeezing Finn around his waist. “Just us.”

Leo laughed and stroked Finn's hair back from his face. “You act as though you belong with anyone else but us.” He kissed Finn's nose. “You, Heartthrob O'Hara, are ours in every lifetime. No take-backs.”

Finn knew he was smiling dopily, but he didn't really care. “All yours, lovers.”

“Maris.”

“Huh?”

“Husbands,” Leo translated.

Finn's heart gave a brief jolt. “Yeah,” he said softly. “Husbands.” A giddy feeling spread up through his chest, and he pushed himself up on a forearm to kiss each of them hard, smiling the whole time. “You're my husbands.” He laughed. “Oh my God, you're my husbands.”

Logan and Leo laughed along with him, each with a hand on his back. Their laughter grew and grew until they were shaking with it, the French sunset disappearing on the horizon. Finn stood up in the dimming light and held both his hands out to them.

“C'mon,” he said. “I've got a date with two hot men and a bottle of wine.”

Logan and Leo placed a hand in each of his and stood, too, gathering their towels and blanket into the bags they brought. Finn looped his arm through Leo's and laced the fingers of his other hand with Logan's. Leo rolled his eyes playfully, claiming he was “pulling a Logan” by not carrying anything. Finn just kissed his cheek with a wink and told him he'd make it up to him later.

Together, Finn and his husbands walked up the road back to the Tremblay's house, shivering slightly in the cooling evening air. When they got to the front steps, Finn kissed them both lightly then held open the door. As they walked through, each pressing a hand to his waist in thanks, he had the same feeling he had on the dazzling French beach: calm, peaceful, and irrevocably in love. He smiled and closed the door behind them.
