An accidental slip of his tongue when he spontaneously mumbles rare forms of praises — it doesn't happen often — but when it does... oh she goes crazy all right.

Like whenever their training and she finally manages to land a solid hit on him?

He grins, completely unbothered that you made his nose bleed.

"There she is... 'atta fucking girl."

Or whenever you solve a math problem correctly?

His crimson eyes scan the worksheet — zeroing in on the unnecessary long equation — giving it a quick once over before handing it back with an invisible smile.

Rubbing your head gently as his fingers caress every spot.

"Finally did it on yur' own hah? Good job baby."

And what about when you show him the little doodles you did in your notebook?

His focus seems to be all over the paper, admiring every little pencil marking and detail he could find.

It's the ones where he speaks of her, when he thinks she's not there.

She didn't mean to eavesdrop — she truly didn't — but when one of their classmates brings up her name, asking him — in a joking manner — why he's always so calm with her, she silently listens behind the wall.

His voice remains unsteady and surprisingly tender.

"Because she's my girlfriend."

Nothing else had to be said.

Those three words could be considered nothing special for anybody else, but to her it held meaning, spoken as if her being his meant just that.

your head whipped to the door as you heard a knock. that's really weird- your guardian(s) weren't supposed to be home till a lot later in the night. you stood up and shuffled from the parlor and to the front door, carefully peeking in the peephole, fully anticipating some sort of psycho murderer, but instead being met with the boy you adored the most.

quickly unlocking the door, ushered him in and locked it behind him. "hey, didn't expect you to come over." he didn't respond, only placing his bag down on the floor as he pulled off his shoes. you walked over to the table to grab your phone before making your way over to your room, not looking behind you because you knew he'd follow.

it soon hit you that he hadn't said anything since he came. you checked the time and realized it's way, way earlier then he normally would get here, as his commute time was now more than double the amount it was before.

"you're really early today-" as you turned around, you immediately noticed the tears threatening to spill from his eyes. "sieun?" you walked over to him, placing your hands on his cheeks. “what’s wrong?”

his eyes stared into yours before he simply shook his head, not wanting to talk about it. “okay,” you said, voice softer than a whisper before taking him into your arms. he gently reciprocated, his face naturally falling into the crook of your neck as the tears silently fell onto you, sighing tiredly.

you placed a hand on his head, brushing your fingers through his hair that you only now noticed seemed to be ruffled. when he finally pulled away with a frown on his face, you once again cupped his cheeks and kissed all over his face before placing a kiss on his lips, “i wish i could kiss all your tears away.”

he only gazed at you tiredly as you pulled his forehead to meet yours, the tips of your noses touching. “let’s go lay down, hm?”

- i feel like before you stared dating and in the very early stages of your relationship, he would try to act more mature around you in order to seem "cool", but once he gets comfortable around you, he'll turn into his usual self.

- it would take him awhile to let you see his vulnerable side, but once u do there's no going back.

- I also feel like it would take him awhile to say "i love you", like I think he would just stick to constantly saying "i like you" instead until he's comfortable enough to say love.

the one thing that percy feared most in this world would be benign to some. knowing his experience with the minotaur, the labyrinth, and even facing kronos’s army would seem like the worst thing imaginable, but what really played in his nightmares was the thought of losing you. you slowly play with percys hair as he nuzzles his face into your chest as he sleeps. you continue watching your show as he wraps his arms tighter around you. you grumble as the constriction makes your body ache, making you twist around. “don’t leave me,” he mutters, sleep talking. you immediately recognize the pain in his voice, noticing the stressed tone. “hey,” you whisper, rubbing small circles on his back. “i’m not going anywhere.” and almost like clockwork, his body relaxes and everything goes quiet again. even in his dreams you were his relaxant.

I called my brother a wifeguy and he was like “what’s that” so I told it’s a man who’s obsessed with his wife, and there was a pause as he went through all 5 stages of grief in about 20 seconds, and then said, “well what do other people do??”
