evermore is such an insane album when you really think about it. like. love isn't forever. friendship isn't forever. trust isn't forever. family isn't forever. even a marriage isn't forever. but then she ends on evermore (song) and it's like: you know what else isn't forever? pain. suffering. heartache. she just flips the script of the entire album on the LAST SONG and cements the complexity of its core message in 5 minutes. and i'm supposed to be normal about that
“we judged ttpd too quickly!” “ttpd was sooo underrated when it came out!!” “ttpd really grew on me” skill issue. i knew ttpd was a top tier album by 12:01 AM on april 19 2024 so don’t assume that your inability to recognize greatness is universal
I think people on here make judgements far too quickly on new art. let it sink in, let it breathe! not everything is immediately gonna tick all of your boxes, nor should it. that doesn’t mean there’s nothing worthwhile there
being 15 is normal but being born in 2010 is not hope this helps
I know for many of us, the words that Taylor shares before she sings Clean mean as much to us as the lyrics of the song do, because someone that we love and care about knows the struggles we’re facing, and she’s cheering us on – that’s why I wanted to compile all of Taylor’s Clean speeches together in the one place. It’s been an incredible experience transcribing all the speeches and seeing the positive and healing impact that Taylor’s words have had on myself and others. Thank you for your words, Taylor.
This post contains every Clean speech from the 1989 World Tour.
N.B. this post will be very long.

so much of the Swiftie Discourse would be resolved if some of y’all could come to terms with the following facts:
a) taylor swift is a human being
b) it is genuinely okay to like both the music AND the person creating said music. constantly looking for evidence that the person behind the music is a bad person is just weird. either like her and the music, or just the music; actively searching for reasons that she’s not who she says she is is fucking odd
re: ts12 - i’m just so fucking excited to hear about her from a strong perspective. like yes, there will be emotional depth, but she’s overcome the shit she used to struggle with. her life is so full and complete in every way rn (not just travis). she’s not being bogged down and continuously thinking of her trauma because she can’t escape a melancholy partner who couldn’t pretend to care about her. she’s so herself, and has just completely grown into her power from eras and everything else, and it’ll be so fun to hear that come across in the record too.
sometimes i think about how terrifyingly easy it would’ve been for her to completely give up on herself and let all that grief and anger and uncertainty consume her. but she showed up for herself consistently, whether she wanted to or not, no matter how hard it was, and look where it got her in the end. i hope she’s damn proud of the way she kept going and pulled herself back out again
me too, so much
agreed! the fact that i saw some fans getting upset about the possibility of ts12 because she’s “dragging along the re-records”. she’s not dragging anything, she’s always been the one with the plan as to when they should come out, fans are the ones dragging it
NO EXACTLY. i’m sorry that you made up a schedule in your head or decided she would be finished with them by the time she was finished with eras but she actually can see the bigger picture and knows more about her career and personal plans than we do
i couldn’t care less that taylor isn’t a vocal powerhouse because her voice feels like home to me. it feels like a soft warm blanket or a hug from your mom or the bed in your childhood room. it’s beautiful and earnest and unbridled and uniquely her and i wouldn’t trade it for the world
Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you.
