Blitzø Is Actually Really Good At Art

I just need to yell about this moment here.

Millie, my girl Mills, bff, absolute queen! She was gonna keep looking at Blitz until he closed his eyes, she wasn’t gonna let him feel alone in this, not ever again. She couldn’t hold his hand, but she could give him the comfort of eye contact until the end, and my gosh, she’s so strong for that! (Not shitting on Moxxie and Loona here! Their not wanting to look is totally valid! Totally a normal response to such a thing!)

You can tell how thankful Blitz is to have someone to look at in the eyes one last time, as he says that he loves his found family. I just love how she wasn’t gonna let him ever go alone, she gave him the only comfort she could from where she was chained, and he appreciated that, so, so much! It’s all over his face here. (Imo)

Why must my favorite HB YouTuber post a video talking about the Stolas, Blitz, and Vassago love triangle headcanon, I can seemingly never escape.

Please don't act like it's a good idea, especially after the events of Mastermind and Sinsmas. IT'S NOT.

STOLAS DID EXPLORE OTHER PEOPLE, AND THE MEMORY WAS SO FUCKING TRAUMATIC FOR BLITZ THAT IT'S IN THIS FUCKING MEMORY REEL.

Blitz has ZERO intentions of exploring other people when THIS IS HIS DREAM.

Why can't Vassago just be a friend to Stolas, please? FFS Stolas has no friends! The closest he has to a friend is Blitz, but they might as well be fucking married by now at this point, since they live and work together.

I think a bunch of us have already posted/fawned over how smooth/nice Stolas' laugh was in this moment (jfc Bryce Pinkham your VA work never misses). And how significant it is that Blitzø can get a laugh out of him even when he's having literally one of the worst days of his life and feeling serious grief.

But I've been mulling over how good that laugh must've felt to Blitzø.

IIRC, he hasn't made Stolas laugh since Seeing Stars. It's been at least 4-5 months, probably more like 6+.

And of course we know that, when Blitzø was in denial about Stolas' feelings, one of the things that hurt the most was the thought that Stolas laughing at his jokes was fake. We know he has lifelong insecurities about how his humor is perceived, stemming from Fizz always being more liked and charismatic.

This is the first time Blitzø has made Stolas laugh, not since the not-a-breakup, but since very, very soon after Ozzie's.

It's the first time he's made Stolas laugh knowing it was real and letting himself feel that it was real.

Even if Stolas is feeling like shit and the happiness is just for a moment, it's there and it's genuine. The real, walls-down Blitzø is who he's connecting with. Blitzø knows he can and does make Stolas happier just by being himself.

And oh lordy does it make him so relieved and happy, too.

Look at that face. Man down! He's smitten all over again. His heart's going to vacate his chest and ascend straight out of Hell.

There's been discussion on how/why Blitzø fell for Stolas, and here we're seeing evidence. He fell for the tall, pretty bird who has a really nice laugh, who exchanges banter easily with him, who goes along with his offbeat ideas like dancing on the balcony, who understands that being compared to a tall-tall horse is a compliment... the one who thinks he's funny even when no one else in Hell does. Blitzø would fight 1,000 Andrealphuses and all of Hell for that laugh.

You know, I was wondering if I was going insane throughout the episode, seeing how Lucifer's eyes are a little... I think duller is the right word, than Charlie's. I thought I was reading too much into it. NOPE, they are, and that's just such a heartbreaking little touch, he's so lost in depression- has been for thousands of years, likely (keep in mind charlie looks 20 but is actually like 2000 years old, and he was already like this when she was a kid) It really feels like he's given up hope- but the moment he sees who Charlie has become, he's so utterly proud that for a moment the light slips back into his eyes. It doesn't last long, and that's fine, he's clearly dealing with a lot. But just that little touch really shows how much he cares, made him one of my favourite characters in a heartbeat

I find it really interesting how effective human made weapons/technology is against Hellborn. (And even Heavenborn in some cases)

Holy Pendent

I’m not sure if I’m looking too much into it, but my stint in the Good Omens fandom has got me conditioned to expect a Humanity Vs. Heaven Vs. Hell scenario.

As unlikely as that sounds, I can’t help but find it an interesting idea, and I’m interested to see if DHORKS actually manages to become a decent threat in season 3. After all, they still have that portal to Hell they’re working on, and we still haven’t seen who’s actually running the whole operation. Agent 1 and Agent 2 HAD to of made their report to someone to get the funding needed for their new base and weapons.

My Season 3 Predictions/Wishlist BINGO Sheet

Wanted to get this out before LVL UP. Not that I’m holding out for a Helluva Boss Season 3 trailer (though I’m definitely hoping), Hazbin Hotel Season 2 is more likely to have news…but I wouldn’t be upset if we did get some news/hints on Season 3 or even some release schedules. So I wanted to get my thoughts in order before then, just in case.

Most of my wants/predictions are pretty self explanatory, and I’ve even seen other people mention a lot of them too. But here are some explanations of some of my more “out there” ideas for anyone that’s interested.

Andrealphus and Vassago History: That scene in Mastermind where Vassago and Andrealphus were sniping at each other in the courtroom definitely had bitter exe vibes to me. Especially with Andrealphus flashing his tail there at the end. They definitely seemed like they were already familiar with each other, and knew exactly the best way to get under the other’s skin. And with other fans noticing Andrealphus and Vassago’s silhouettes on the “smut book” Stolas was reading in Apology Tour, there’s definitely some hinting that they’re already connected somehow

Imp Going Full Demon (Blitz or Millie): Vivzie has already stated that all demons have a full demon form, imps included. And I’m convinced that Millie will be the first (maybe only?) imp to go full demon at some point. But I’d be lying if I said she’s the imp I want to go full demon. It’s no secret that Blitzø is my favorite, so I definitely have some bias for wanting him to go full demon. Both have their merits (they’re both very protective of their loved ones), so I’m inclined to include both of them

Asmodean Crystal Knockoffs: You can’t tell me a place as morally corrupt as Hell wouldn’t have an illegal knockoff of the only legal method of getting to Earth. Mammon in particular has more than enough motivation to make/sell knockoffs, especially if he can potentially get Asmodeus in trouble for them

Fizz X Ozzie Drama: I already hinted at the potential drama with the Asmodean Crystal Knockoffs being used to get Asmodeus in trouble. But that probably isn’t even half of the mayhem Mammon could cause, especially since he has a personal vendetta against Fizz and Ozzie (that threat at the end of the mid season special had to be a build up to something for the future). I’m expecting Mammon to make good on that threat to Asmodeus, and Fizz is going to be dragged into the middle of a “Sins War” of some sort. And that’s before taking into account the possible ramifications of what happened in Mastermind

Stella Vs. Andrealphus: Power inevitably corrupts, and if I’m being honest, Andrealphus already seemed the type that would backstab his own family if it meant furthering his own goals. I don’t care for Stella, don’t get me wrong, but the way Andrealphus treats/talks about her is very…petty and backhanded. He’s the one with the plans, he’s the one with the power, and he’s constantly reminding her of this fact while claiming her only strength is her appearance. It just screams “bitter sibling” getting his hits in anyway he can. Because the fact that Stella doesn’t fear Andrealphus in the least even with him letting loose his powers (and tail feathers), hints at a hidden power dynamic that hasn’t been revealed yet (the favored child that married a Prince and the unneeded older child everyone forgot?). One that’s now been turned on its head since Andrealphus is now the one with Stolas’ power/title, and he doesn’t need Stella to be relevant anymore.

Andrealphus Frollo Arc (Blitz Obsession): I’ve been obsessed with this theory ever since I stumbled upon a post talking about how Vivzie hinted at a future song based off of “Hellfire” from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and how Andrealphus is likely to become obsessed with Blitzø, hence the song. Something about the theory just fascinates me for whatever reason. And after becoming convinced that Andrealphus is filling the role that Stolas was originally meant to play as the series villain, it just seems like a forgone conclusion at this point.

I think one of my favorite things about Blitzø is how feral cat-coded he is.

He was dumped on his own at too young an age without resources. He's an outcast with a rough past, used to relying on his own wit and tenacity to survive. He's energetic and determined. He bends/breaks rules as he deems necessary. His circus past gives him good balance/coordination (except for his goofy faceplants).

His tail swishes. He bites. He purrs.

Like a feral cat, he perceives most of the world as ready to hurt him and lashes out, often afraid of introspection. And he refuses to acknowledge when he's dangerously out of his level in a conflict.

It also takes a lot for him to realize when someone is, in fact, genuine. The world wants to hurt people, and he's constantly waiting for it to try again.

But when he does understand someone, or when he sees enough of himself in them, he doesn't need the claws anymore. He is all about nuzzles and cuddles and purrs and an absurd level of undying faith and protectiveness. Like a cat, his loyalty and affection are things he has to decide on himself. But once they're there, they're as upfront and outright as his self-defenses.

IDK I don't have anywhere special to go with this. As someone who's had a lot of experience with feral/found stray cats, I really came to appreciate his character so much the further I got into the show. Perhaps this is just a response to those people who feel his supportive nature with Stolas at the end of S2 'came out of nowhere.' Maybe they haven't had the same experience I have? Blitzø is that beaten up street cat who hisses and claws when you try to help or be kind to him, even though he badly needs help and kindness. But underneath all that is the Blitzø that wants to follow you home, swat at the other cats to protect you, and be your biggest cheerleader. Just, very stray cat coded. And I love it.

EDIT: OH you know what barn animals tend to befriend horses (Blitzø's animal obsession), to the extent of sleeping on their backs sometimes?

Yeah, cats.

In Defense of the Mastermind Ending

Stolitz is NOT a couple. They both have a lot of issues to work through. The kiss on the cheek was not them becoming canon (AHEM SARCASTIC CHORUS). Blitzø still hates himself. Stolas is still horribly depressed. The kiss on the cheek was Blitzø finally coming to terms with the fact that he can love and that stolas loves him back. The happy music at the end does not mean that Blitzø is happy Stolas is not a goetia anymore, it's bc Blitzø is happy that stolas ISN'T DEAD. Blitzø more than anyone would understand the gravity of the situation Stolas is in. He's been pushed out of his home, shunned by his family and taken the blame for something huge that was not his fault and ripped away from the people (person) that he loves. Who in all of hell understands that better than Blitzø? He wasn't forcing affection or forcing Stolas to talk. He was treating Stolas with the gentleness he NEEDS right now. Blitzø isn't gonna keep him trapped in his one bedroom alone with him and Loona, he's gonna do whatever he can to get him back on his feet after the life-changing day both of them have had. Is he happy he's getting attention and praise for the FIRST TIME in his life? Understandly, yes but he was also protecting Stolas from the other people's vomit and trash so the attention isn't getting to his head and it won't anytime soon because that's not who Blitzø is. The writers aren't making them jump into a relationship. Hell, they weren't in a relationship when they were having sex every month, a kiss on the cheek means something definitely and im so happy about it, but it certainly doesn't mean they're dating. Mastermind was a brilliant episode with a brilliant ending and I'm tired of people complaining about problems that don't even exist.

I absolutely love Blitzø’s reaction to Stolas mentioning his horse collection!

This lovable dork is absolutely ecstatic that Stolas is talking about his collection. Blitzø is proud of his horse collection, and he’s more than ready to geek out about it with someone he loves.

The feels man, I just can’t with this gremlin lizard! 🥰

Fears After Mastermind

Stolas is NOT in a good place mentally right now. The guy was already suffering from depression, but now he’s quite literally lost everything to his name. His home. His title and powers. His DAUGHTER.

No matter how positive a note Mastermind seemed to end on, past experience with Ozzie’s is setting Sinsmas up to be truly devastating. Octavia is Stolas’ only hope right now, because until he and Blitz actually manage to talk to each other, there’s always going to be some level of uncertainty and awkwardness between them (no matter how wholesome that bath scene and kiss was).

Unfortunately, any future plans/attempts at getting to Octavia are ultimately going to end with her confronting Stolas. Lashing out at him and accusing him of loving Blitz more than her as we heard in the Season 2 trailer.

This will CRUSH Stolas, absolutely destroy what little hold of himself he has right now. And this leads to my fears…

Stolas is going to lash out. Everything has been taken from him, he’s in an uncomfortable situation and has been rejected by the only hope of normalcy he could have right now, and the closest and easiest target right now is Blitz.

And normally this wouldn’t be a problem, Blitz can generally give as good as he gets. But Stolas is used to the uncaring, pure violence of Stella. And the reactive defensiveness that is Blitz’s usual response to confrontation, but Stolas has absolutely no context of a Blitz after the events of Apology Tour and GhostF*ckers.

Blitz has been put through the wringer this season, and although he’s still putting on a brave face and acting his usual shenanigan causing self even after everything, the damage has definitely been done. As seen in GhostF*ckers, Blitz internalizes everything. Every hurt, every perceived mistake, Blitz is quietly agonizing over it when he thinks no one is looking.

And all it’ll take to absolutely DESTROY Blitz, and backslide any healing and growth he’d managed up to this point, is to be told that he ruined Stolas’ life. The one fear that could very easily shatter Blitz, and I’m absolutely terrified this is the direction Sinsmas and Season 3 are going to take.
