Oh Dang! I’m Not The Only One That Thinks Octavia Might Be Forced Into An Arranged Marriage In Season

Oh dang! I’m not the only one that thinks Octavia might be forced into an arranged marriage in season 3. I’m not sure if I’m terrified or gratified. Just depends on who ends up being the one that tries to set her up with someone in the end.

Though I do like Cartoon Universe’s take on it too

Stolas' Future Character Arc

Stolas' Future Character Arc

So one of the common criticisms I've seen regarding Stolas is the fact that after his one month apart from Blitz, we've never actively seen him grow and change for the better the same way Blitz has.

He still has these classist tendencies, he still has no friends, and he still has his head up in the clouds when we see him again in Mastermind.

I noticed that some people are rather confused by this because it's so different from what we've initially seen of him from the beginning of Season 2. And I think it's because people seem to doubt the pivotal role Blitz plays in Stolas' development as a character.

But here's the thing....

Stolas' #1 flaw has always been his general lack of awareness. Stolas isn't aware of his faults the same way Blitz is, and Blitz, as we know, is extremely aware of his faults.

People need to remember that what made Stolas begin to change as a character, to make him want to fix these flaws presented in their relationship was Blitz...

What Blitz does in Ozzie's is that he destroys Stolas' perceptions of what he thinks their relationship is: "Stolas don't act like what we have is anything but YOU wanting me to fuck you, okay, you make that really clear all the time."

And it's these words that spur Stolas to go on this grand quest to fix the very nature of their relationship.

Stolas' Future Character Arc

The same way Stolas plays an active part in Blitz wanting to change and do better as a person, Blitz plays that same active role in Stolas' life as well.

Stolas makes it very clear that he looks to Blitz as a guiding light: "Maybe there's something for us to gleam, for you to teach and for me to try to learn."

And that's what Blitz is doing right now...

Stolas' Future Character Arc

Blitz is supposed to be the guiding light that will help Stolas navigate his new way of life as a commoner. Remember, now that Stolas is with Blitz, he doesn't just have the lizard he's been pining for the entirety of Season 2, he has his new found family as well.

Stolas has yet to start his full character journey, and people need to understand that. These idiots are meant to grow together. That's the beauty of Stolitz, they're meant to be a couple that grow together.

My dudes, these idiots have spent the majority of Season 2 apart. I need to see them actually talking and hanging out, and improving as people and as a couple together. Please...

Seeing all the parallels between these two just makes me want to see them become family all the more in season 3

Just busy thinking about this between Blitz and Octavia, just witnessing the pain and fear of being left alone play out in both of their eyes is rather moving tbh.

Like step-father like daughter, I suppose.

Random thought: Do the other Sins have their own versions of Asmodean Crystals?

Random Thought: Do The Other Sins Have Their Own Versions Of Asmodean Crystals?

I’ve been thinking about Barbie Wire a lot lately. So of course I can’t help but notice (and become absolutely obsessed with) the way her Asmodean Crystal differs from all the other ones we’ve seen so far.

Random Thought: Do The Other Sins Have Their Own Versions Of Asmodean Crystals?
Random Thought: Do The Other Sins Have Their Own Versions Of Asmodean Crystals?

Now granted, I may be overthinking things again and it’s just a matter of Barbie needing a different version of an Asmodean Crystal due to her being an imp that doesn’t have the magic needed to make a human disguise herself. Or it’s just a repurposed crystal that was stolen from one of Asmodeus’ workers and altered somehow.

But I REALLY like the idea that it’s actually an Asmodean Crystal knockoff made by another Sin.

Mammon in particular is already known for stealing the ideas of his fellow Sins for his own gain. Loo Loo Land being a cheap copy of Lucifer’s Lu Lu World being a prime example. I can easily believe Mammon would copy Asmodeus’ actually legal Asmodean Crystal with a “cheap” illegal version that unsavory businesses like Barbie’s would use to get to Earth when they usually couldn’t. And with Mammon holding a grudge against Asmodeus in particular over Fizzarolli quitting, he’d be more than willing to make knockoffs that could be blamed on Asmodeus since they’re Lust’s design and jurisdiction.

And that’s before even considering Leviathan!

Envy is notorious for generally being a sin portrayed as jealous of what others have and wanting it for themselves. Sometimes going so far as being portrayed as wanting to BECOME a different person altogether (think Fullmetal Alchemist). I can definitely see Leviathan as a sin of envy making knockoff Asmodean Crystals, but with her own spin on it to make it “better” somehow.

Or, maybe she’d even work with Mammon on making their own version. After all, Greed and Envy are pretty compatible sins, and that trial in Mastermind did reveal an interesting dynamic. I can definitely see them using each other for their own gains.

As much as I look forward to Blitz learning some self care and self love, he’s definitely not going to be learning it on his own. And I completely agree that it’s inevitable that the poor guy is gonna crash in season 3. But whether he burns out after the crash is entirely up to Stolas. And that’s where I have concerns.

As Much As I Look Forward To Blitz Learning Some Self Care And Self Love, He’s Definitely Not Going
As Much As I Look Forward To Blitz Learning Some Self Care And Self Love, He’s Definitely Not Going
As Much As I Look Forward To Blitz Learning Some Self Care And Self Love, He’s Definitely Not Going

Vivzie has stated that season 3 will be a rollercoaster of emotions, with a heavy focus on addiction and the Goetia. And poor Stolas has already been shown to have an addictive reliance on alcohol.

Now, I have faith that Stolas will ultimately be able to overcome his own hurdles to be there for Blitz, but like stated above. There will be highs, and there will be lows, and Blitz will likely crash and burn before Stolas is able to help. Just like how Blitz stumbled and made mistakes in season 2, season 3 will be Stolas staggeringly making mistakes of his own.

And though the angst with hurt/comfort will be everything Stolitz fans could ever want, watching it happen will still be painful.

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

So Season 2 of Helluva Boss ends with Blitzø playing caretaker / supportive boyfriend / emotional support cat-lizard to his birb, who is literally having the worse day of his life.

Blitzø, right now is at the top of his game and his mental health is at an all time high right now because this is a Blitzø who has fully accepted the fact that he is loved and it is okay to love and be loved.

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash
Blitzø's Inevitable Crash
Blitzø's Inevitable Crash
Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

But Blitzø himself hasn't learned to love himself or appreciate himself more, and the show makes it so glaringly obvious. And all I can think about is how Blitzø is going to crash so hard in Season 3 as his self-loathing eventually gets worse and worse to the point it eventually explodes...

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash
Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

Because Blitzø is most definitely putting his own mental health in the backburner in favor of helping Stolas adjust to his new life as a commoner, and life without being codependent on his daughter.

And right now, that's fine.

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

But here's the thing about relationships, it's a two-way street.

Blitzø can't play caretaker and supportive boyfriend forever, and eventually it's going to be Stolas' turn to support Blitzø when he needs it the most.

And the reason why I think it has to be Stolas?

Because Stolas hasn't seen Blitz cry yet...

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash
Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

Because Stolas has seen the marked out photos on Blitzø's walls, but he hasn't drawn attention to them yet...

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

Because Stolas knows that Blitzø has his own set of issues...

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

Right now Blitzø is acting as Stolas' light...

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

Just as Blitzø was the light that taught Stolas that he too could forge his own destiny, and make his own choices...

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

He's going to be the guiding light that will help him navigate his new way of life as a commoner.

As Stolas learns to find love through community, hopefully he'll soon be able to see the benefits that came from choosing Blitz in the end...

And hopefully one day Stolas can be the heart that Blitzø needs to learn to appreciate himself more...

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

Just as he was the heart that helped Blitzø realize that it's okay to love and be loved.

Blitzø's Inevitable Crash

So, I’ve been rewatching some of my favorite Helluva Boss episodes lately (as you do, the cope is real). And to add some variety to each rewatch, I’ve started to focus on watching reactors and seeing their takes on those episodes. It’s been a blast! Seeing the different reactions and perspectives that they bring to my favorite episodes. Some of them have even pointed out things I never even noticed while watching the episode on my own. It really adds a freshness to each rewatch, as if I’m seeing the episode for the first time all over again.

Hower, it’s not always a matter of new insights and enjoyable new perspectives. Which is understandable, and expected honestly. It’s the internet, afterall.

What I don’t understand is how every reactor has had almost the exact same response to the scene from “Mammon’s Magnificent Mid-Season Special” regarding Fizz’s stalker “fan”.

So, I’ve Been Rewatching Some Of My Favorite Helluva Boss Episodes Lately (as You Do, The Cope Is Real).

Every reactor’s initial response is excitement at Blitz’s timely arrival in intercepting Creepzo, eagerly anticipating Blitz doing what he does best and assassinate the creep. But then Blitz decides not to shoot, opting instead to just smack Creepzo with his gun and leaving him to slink off. Every reactor I’ve watched was flabbergasted by this, not understanding why Blitz didn’t just kill the creep. But then, the whole event is put to the back-burner and ultimately forgotten due to the drama that immediately follows afterwards.

Heck, if I’m being honest, I had the exact same response when I first watched the episode myself. But I’ve been obsessively rewatching my favorite episodes back to back ever since “Sinsmas” aired, so of course I noticed something I didn’t pick up on that first viewing.

So, I’ve Been Rewatching Some Of My Favorite Helluva Boss Episodes Lately (as You Do, The Cope Is Real).
So, I’ve Been Rewatching Some Of My Favorite Helluva Boss Episodes Lately (as You Do, The Cope Is Real).

Blitz’s reaction to Fizzarolli’s panic says it all. He knew that Fizz wouldn’t be able to handle it if Creepzo got shot. Heck, he was there when Fizzarolli himself admitted that he does’t handle dangerous situations.

Blitz was listening. And he handled the situation in a way that he thought wouldn’t agitate Fizzarolli any more than he already was.

And it doesn’t end there! Here’s another interesting little detail that I don’t see people mentioning.

So, I’ve Been Rewatching Some Of My Favorite Helluva Boss Episodes Lately (as You Do, The Cope Is Real).

Asmodeus arrives just in the nick of time to support Fizz and help talk him down from his panic attack. But here’s the thing. How is he there? It was stated multiple times that Asodeus wasn’t supposed to be at the event in Greed. And the whole fiasco that took place in “Oops” shows that he doesn’t keep tabs on Fizzarolli when he’s outside of Lust. So, how did he know?

Simple, Blitz told him.

So, I’ve Been Rewatching Some Of My Favorite Helluva Boss Episodes Lately (as You Do, The Cope Is Real).

Blitz was working with Asmodeus to convince Fizz to quit the clown pageant in the first place. But, when everything Blitz said went completely ignored or was outright rebuffed, he simply stood by his friend to act as support. Until he realized it wasn’t enough. Blitz actually assessed the situation and determined that Fizz needed Asmodeus more than anyone else in that moment. And he took a step back and left it to Asmodeus.

Showing yet another instance of Blitz caring about his found family, and showing his love by being considerate in such subtle ways that people don’t notice.

I want to talk about a kind of troubling reaction I've been seeing to both Apology Tour and Ghostfuckers among parts of the fandom. The person is usually a reaction youtuber but sometimes someone writing on tumblr or twitter. They say something along the lines of "oh, I'm glad Blitz is being forced to confront his crimes/traumas/pain. This is the only way he will finally heal."

That's not how healing works.

I Want To Talk About A Kind Of Troubling Reaction I've Been Seeing To Both Apology Tour And Ghostfuckers

I know that reaction youtubers don't always have the most developed takes because they're . . . you know . . . reacting in the moment. But I think it's still worth talking about.

I'm going set aside the people who seem to believe that Blitz needs to be punished for his crimes, and address those who genuinely think that getting a tidal wave of his own trauma in his face is what he needs to heal.

There's an attitude in contemporary culture that traumas are something people need to confront. As in, put on a brave face and dive in like a big boy. I blame capitalism, rugged individualism, and all the pieces of media that tie up a character's arc neatly by having them confront their darkest fears and insecurities. It can put a nice bow on things, but it isn't really how healing from trauma works.

Apology Tour:

Blitz gets confronted by a shit ton of people who hate him, at least some of whom are his exes, who he feels he's personally damaged. The decor and party games are all about killing and torturing him. Verosika confronts him about how much he hurt her. Oh, and then he sees the love of his life, who he's just recently pushed away, making out with another guy- proof, in his eyes, that Stolas is happier without him. And this all reflects the underlying fears he already has about who he is as a person (shown to us by Truth Seekers).

I Want To Talk About A Kind Of Troubling Reaction I've Been Seeing To Both Apology Tour And Ghostfuckers
I Want To Talk About A Kind Of Troubling Reaction I've Been Seeing To Both Apology Tour And Ghostfuckers

I Want To Talk About A Kind Of Troubling Reaction I've Been Seeing To Both Apology Tour And Ghostfuckers
I Want To Talk About A Kind Of Troubling Reaction I've Been Seeing To Both Apology Tour And Ghostfuckers

So what was the takeaway? Blitz came to the conclusion that he doesn't always want to be like this (good, but like . . . worth this much pain?). He flops on his steering wheel (relatable). He stops trying to reach out to Stolas (uh oh . . . ). He spends A MONTH spiraling in his own misery and making a mess of all aspects of his life until he's dragged out of it by a caring friend.

The party doesn't empower Blitz to change. It knocks him down and fucking traumatizes him (seriously, images of Stolas from the party show up later in his trauma reel) too much for him to be able to do actually work toward said change. I suspect that if left to his own devices, he would have kept spiraling for quite a while longer. It's one thing to want to change, and another to try to do so alone in the aftermath of a pile-on.

Ghostfuckers

After Blitz drags himself out of his hole of cheesy ice cream and despair to "play sex ghosts" (escapism, again, still knocked down by Apology Tour), infester demon Rolando picks him out as an easy target and assaults him, yes, assaults, with horrific images of his worst traumas and fears.

Not to state the obvious, but Rolando isn't interested in helping Blitz heal. He's trying to kill the guy. He wants to engulf Blitz in his trauma to the extent where he's consumed by it and loses the will to fight back. And as some excellent posts by others have pointed out already, he very likely would have succumbed if not for Millie's support.

Millie helps Blitz get through the onslaught by telling him about what makes him great and how he's improved her life and showing him love and care. And by literally beating the fucking infester out of him. Because there's someone in him who's hurting him, who's re-traumatizing him against his will. She takes him away from the reel of horrible memories.

So . . . do I think that confronting traumas can play a role in healing? Sure. But only if it's consensually (which neither of these situations are) and when the person trying to heal is ready. And most likely in small doses. No one's going and successfully confronting every horrible thing that's ever happened to them in one go.

And in my humble opinion, it's not going to work (for anyone, but especially not for Blitz) alone and without a healthy dose of kindness and compassion (both external and internal).

Blitz has a long road ahead of him toward healing, and it's going to be hard work on his part but also require love and support from the people in his life.

In a wonderful moment near the end of Ghosfuckers, Blitz and Millie work together to get Blitz's wrecked van unstuck and push it back through the portal into Hell. I love it because it's so simple and it kind of tells us everything we need to know. This sweet and salty gremlin has a lot of work ahead of him, but he doesn't have to do it alone.

Blitz starts off "When I See Him" not wanting to think about the complexities of his and Stolas' relationship, so he decides to focus on the one thing he does know: sex.

Ever since season 2 concluded back in December, I’ve been rethinking Brandon Roger’s slip of the tongue about how Blitzø “ran” I.M.P. instead of “runs”. A lot of us were convinced that Mastermind was going to have Blitzø’s business being destroyed along with the building it was being run in. But then Sinsmas aired, and I.M.P. is still going strong.

But then that begs the question, was that earlier statement by Brandon just a slip of the tongue? Or were we given a hint to a future conflict/conclusion that takes place in a later season?

Personally, I think there’s still a chance that Blitzø is going to lose I.M.P. And my obsession with finding lore/future hints in Vivzie’s official merchandise turned a simple passing thought into a freakin full blown obsession that just won’t leave me alone. So of course I’m going to share the insanity.

Ever Since Season 2 Concluded Back In December, I’ve Been Rethinking Brandon Roger’s Slip Of The

This Halloween T-shirt’s art is what started it all.

Blitzø is dressed up as an angel, something that anyone from hell would consider as terrifying or monstrous. Perfectly in theme with Halloween while also being ironically hilarious to the audience.

But what if it’s more than that? What if it’s a possible hint about how Helluva Boss will end? What if Blitzø doesn’t lose I.M.P. or willingly retire and pass it on?

Helluva Boss could just as easily end with Blitzø’s death. But that doesn’t mean it’s actually “THE END” the end for Blitzø’s or even Helluva Boss’ story. Because Blitzø could be reincarnated as an angel, just like he’s dressed up as in the Halloween art.

After all, Vivzie is also famous for another show based in hell that focuses on redeeming those condemned to live in hell. And one of those sinners was even redeemed and made it into heaven after sacrificing himself for his loved ones.

Ever Since Season 2 Concluded Back In December, I’ve Been Rethinking Brandon Roger’s Slip Of The
Ever Since Season 2 Concluded Back In December, I’ve Been Rethinking Brandon Roger’s Slip Of The

This sounds exactly like something Blitzø would do. In fact, he’s already tried to sacrifice himself for his family once already, and I highly doubt he won’t do it again. Especially with Stolas in the picture being as apathetic of his own life as he is.

Ever Since Season 2 Concluded Back In December, I’ve Been Rethinking Brandon Roger’s Slip Of The
Ever Since Season 2 Concluded Back In December, I’ve Been Rethinking Brandon Roger’s Slip Of The

Now, we know little to nothing about how death affects hellborns, or if they even have souls that can die like a human’s from earth. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be a possibility! After all, ghosts might not exist in the Helluva Boss universe. But reincarnation hasn’t been taken off the table yet! And it would really add an interesting twist in the lore of the Helluva/Hazbin universe. Which would then be the perfect excuse to bring some Helluva Boss characters over into Hazbin Hotel.

Oh, and then there’s the full moon/heaven imagery to consider.

Ever Since Season 2 Concluded Back In December, I’ve Been Rethinking Brandon Roger’s Slip Of The
Ever Since Season 2 Concluded Back In December, I’ve Been Rethinking Brandon Roger’s Slip Of The
Ever Since Season 2 Concluded Back In December, I’ve Been Rethinking Brandon Roger’s Slip Of The

Heaven is the freaking moon in Helluva Boss! And Stolas has already visualized Blitzø as being unreachable in the glow of said moon…

So, maybe there is merit to the idea that Blitzø can be reincarnated into heaven. Thoughts?

My attention span is sporadic at the best of times or downright obsessive the rest of it. There is no in between. Once the obsession hits, there’s nothing else I’m gonna be talking, reading or writing about. So enjoy it while it lasts, cuz the obsession changes randomly. And regularly.
