Minors in the DBD Fandom

I’ve seen a lot about this in the past couple days and honestly, I’m pretty annoyed it’s even happening.

It should go without saying that Dead By Daylight is rated M for Mature, not M for Minor. So, honestly, you shouldn’t be playing the game if you aren’t over the age of 18, though that part is irrelevant- nobody is gonna stop you except maybe your parents. I played Mass Effect when I was twelve and saw two people having sex. It happens. 

HOWEVER, with it being M for Mature, that means the CONTENT it can and will produce is going to be intended for mature audiences only. The content in the fandom is GOING to be mature. The characters are going to be doing things that are mature such as having sex, killing, hell. There are a few killers that would likely rape another killer or survivor, but, I digress.

Here’s the thing that you all that are whining don’t understand.

if it is found out you are partaking in the content, it is NOT you that is punished. It is us, the people who are minding their own business. We go to jail. We get fined. Are you really so fucking desperate to get your rocks off that you would potentially get someone put in jail?

You cannot use the argument that we shouldn’t be posting that type of content if we don’t want to be in trouble for it; there is not a guideline that says we cannot post what we want and if Tumblr thinks it’s against their community guidelines it’ll take the post down. It’s called freedom of speech, and by extension, that applies to online interaction as well. So telling someone “well if you don’t wanna be in trouble, don’t post it!” goes against the constitutional rights that Americans have just because you are selfish. I can’t speak for other countries.

In short, 

You getting your rocks off over an rp that has sexual content is not worth another person going to jail and being fined. If you’re so sure that you can’t escape it, wait until you’re 18 to come back to the website.

Until the day you turn 18, you are considered a child by the government. It does not matter if your 18th birthday is tomorrow. They don’t care.

Stop complaining about people protecting their own safety. You look like a clown, and not the good type.

PSA: Minors in Adult Spaces

Also to those of you who insist on claiming it’s different since you’re European/Asian/Russian, therefore not in the US: they’re strict there too! The age of consent is NOT what you think it is. (Age of Consent: The age at which a person is considered to be legally competent to consent to sexual acts.) This is in regard to physical contact, romantic contact, contracts, or medical in the country. It does not mean you are an adult, you are confusing the age of consent with the age of majority (Age of Majority: The threshold of adulthood as recognized or declared in law. It is the moment when minors cease to be considered such and assume legal control over their persons, actions, and decisions, thus terminating the control and legal responsibilities of their parents or guardian over them.)

As a minor interacting with an adult, you are capable of hurting us legal adults too.

Wait for your time to interact in adult spaces and with adults! If we did it, you can too.

“Thanks, Amanda. It means a lot. I can’t even sleep in those few moments of peace we have at that camp fire,” he let out an exhausted sigh, and forced a smile back towards her.

“I didn’t think it took much to put those things on with how easily you slap them on us,” Quentin folded his arms over each other, hugging himself. The teen listened to her speak, liking the idea of having a self defence weapon like that hidden blade Amanda shoved into the survivors.

“I like your idea.. but I’m just worried that blade is going to do much in the dream realm..” he paused, thinking for a bit, and just let out a defeated sigh.

“I actually have no idea if that trap would even do anything. Back before I was here, my friend Nancy and I pulled Krueger out of his dream realm and we cut his head off.. but he only came back later to haunt us again. I just don’t know how effective any of this would be.”

Quentin truly appreciated the help. He never really understood why Amanda treated him so nicely, but he never truly questioned it.

“Hey, Amanda.. Can I borrow one of your traps? Krueger’s been fucking with me outside of the trials again and its getting unbearable..”

"You already know the answer to that, but just in case you don’t, it's yes." She said with a smile at him, her hand coming to tap up along the side of her face.

"Though I think you're gonna need my help getting it on him, we haven't really had the one-on-one time for me to show you how to put it on properly. But even if I did show you how to do it, it still takes time, time Krueger won't give you or me willingly." She said with thought, carefully thinking how Quentin could put one of her traps to use. "You don't have my summoning power ether so maybe... we start with something a little more lightweight for you kiddo. I got plenty of weapons for you to choose from, and I'd be willing to let you borrow one of my hidden blades for some surprise defense." Amanda offered, more willing to help Quentin than she would any other person. She felt for the kid seeing as she was aware of what type of relationship he shared with Freddy.

It helped Quentin also looked a lot like another curly haired brunette she had to watch over once...

Ok, I'm just thinking..

So I just got told Bill is on console for dbd and I flipped out. Going through the update, they have the clothes for the other survivors.

Dwight - Ellis

Claudette - Rochelle

Jake - Francis

Meg - Zoey

(Wish Jeff had a midnight rider jacket tbh)

So none of them looks like the survivors but Meg. Looks like her down to a T and I thought, oh my god, this will be sad af.

Just imagine Bill at the camp fire, the others chilling there and he's just smoking or listening to them talk. Well he takes a look around at the survivors but doesn't see Meg, one or two things happen but I'm hoping for the second one. I'm also going for they actually do talk.

1 - He sees Meg in Zoey's clothing and looks away then tries to avoid her as much as he can with the clothing on.

2 - He sees her, thinking it's Zoey, and he freezes. All he's thinking right now is, 'why is she here. She shouldn't be here. She should be safe. She couldn't have died.' So now he's standing up and the others are looking up at him but quickly stay silent cause hard ass Bill never has the expression of so much guilt and looks like he's about to cry.

They all just stare at him scared like and Meg is just listening to Claudette or Nea speak. He walks/runs over to Meg, she turns around to see who's coming over and she gets snatched up into a bear hug.

Bill starts crying and telling her things like he's so sorry, and it wasn't her time, she shouldn't have died, she should have been safe then getting angry at himself then saying he failed her and that he'd get her out no matter what it takes and even saying her name a few times.

Meg, who is confused as hell, asks who Zoey is. He stops, looks at Meg and then let's go and walks away in relief but also a tiny bit upset cause he wanted to give Zoey a hug and tell her he was fine. Leaving everyone confused/scared/really upset.

Bill, who walks like he owns the place, runs like he doesn't give a shit and puts no effort for some "sissy lookin killers" is crying over some girl named Zoey to whom they NEVER heard of. Now I'm upset cause I never want to see a Bill crying and it's just gonna be a bitch to comfort him cause here he was thinking Zoey never made it to the Island where she could be finally safe for once.
