Clark typically isn't one to get sick, I assume for this something happens to him where he's weakened enough to actually get as sick as he is.

It's so bad that Batman himself has to interfere with whatever Superman is doing.

Like here's Clark after being rescued from a mission that had gone wrong months ago, and he's just out here all loopy and very relaxed (Moreso than usual I mean), wrapped in a big ass blanket that definitely radiated alot more heat than it should have, concerning everyone in the JL other than Bruce (who's just real good at hiding it).

Bruce has to physically redirect Clark several times because at the moment his sense of direction and coordination is rivaling that of a sick two year old.

Clark *all sleepy and simply wanting to go and lay down walks into a doorway*: ow... That's a doorway.

The fact that everyone Clark is close to would be extremely worried that the man may accidentally use his powers but with how tired the man is Clark ends up sleeping most of the day away, only occasionally floating out of bed before dropping back into it.

Okay so Batman wears one of those devices where his heartbeat can't be picked up by Superman. Despite that he still knows Bruce Waynes heartbeat due to his work as Clark Kent. One day he runs into Matches Malone in his civilian identity and ends up falling for him. Cue him venting about it to Batman because he's from Gotham so surely he could either talk him out of how bad of an idea it would be to pursue Matches or at the very least be a wingman and give him some advice.

But wait, there's more. Other members of the Justice League end up finding out, and more shenanigans happen in the background as they find out by ease dropping at different times and don't hear everything. So the ones that heard that Matches is Bruce Wayne is very concerned as he funds the Justice League. Others are concerned since Matches is a criminal so they need to plan their shovel talks immediately and goes to Batman for help since he is the best at scaring people (plus gothamites are braver then most people because, Gotham)

So Batman is hearing from many members, but there is one person who is avoiding Batman. Cue Hal Jordan, who connected the dots that Batman is Matches and is stressed because is he a hero or criminal???
