Do You Ever Have This Moment Where A Friend Of Yours Will Just Ever So Briefly Mention Your Tc Or Ask

Firstly, sorry for how deadly silent I’ve been. A lot has happened and there was a period of time I wasn’t really feeling my tc BUT ever since I saw him not too long ago during qrntn (my school re-opened) things have changed haha. For better or worse idk??

Also because I’m kinda late here are the answers for the first six days :))

1. What was your first impression of your tc?

This is going to be really hard to explain without going in depth about how I first met him. But to explain it briefly he came off as a very bold, friendly person ofc he was gorgeous too. But he also seemed like one of those teachers who’s genuinely invested in their students which was nice because I haven’t had many of those :)

2. Is your tc single or taken? or are you unsure? and are you single or taken?

I’m pretty sure he’s taken and that his gf is another teacher. They arrive at and leave school together. I’ve seen them twice now. Around twice before qrntn and once more during the time lockdown was kind of lifted and I was at school. Which obviously means they were like together during qrntn because no mixing with other households (as we knoW). Also some of my friends have seen him and her together at other times as well haha. Eventhough reason would suggest he’s taken it’s not something I know for sure. So maybe he just has a female roommate?? Haha okay no. That sounds stupid.

3. How long have you had feelings for them, and what made you realize that you did?

I’m not sure tbh towards the start I definitely did but then it kinda started to be an on and off thing (hence my absence on here). I realised I did when I started to really care about what they had to say about my work and I started to care about how I was coming across to them. It was also when I started having conversations with them outside of the classroom that I really gained some insight on what he’s like as a person rather than just a teacher yk??

4. Have you kept in touch with them during quarantine/online learning?

During online learning I was kinda slacking off so no BUT THEN my school reopened and when I went in and had him for actual lessons it was fucking great. And I actually ended up having a really good conversation with him during the middle of the week in his office. I wasn’t supposed to see him but he wanted to give me back a grade or something and asked me to like come in - so I did. And then he kinda like turned it into a conversation but yeh the energy was gooood.

5. Is your tc more of the athletic type, the nerdy type or the artsy type?

Athletic type! As well as being an English teacher he’s also a coach for one of the sports teams at my school. I’ve seen him a couple of times because of that near the school field or lugging around sports gear haha.

Also he’s definitely nerdy about his subject. He loves to use big words that no one understands and we have to get him to give the definition of and he just seems like a very learned person haha

6. If you and your tc were in high school together, do you think you’d be friends?

That’s a really good question and the truth is idk. We’re quite similar but we’re also quite different. We’d probably be taking the same subjects and playing the same sports so I’d at the very least be acquaintances with him but friends? Ns. Maybe a better answer is I don’t see why we wouldn’t be :)

Write your tc a card

If you don’t know how to start up a conversation with your tc, since Christmas is coming up, write them a Christmas card!!

If you don’t want people to get suspicious write Christmas cards for all your teachers (if you have too many, maybe your favourites other than tc) but just make your tcs really personalised.

If you want to seem even less suspicious get other people to sign it as well, like the rest of your class (just their names or maybe a little message with that) and after everyone has, you can write a personalised paragraph or two yourself without people finding out how personal you made it or how much you wrote.

If you’re not sure about when to give it to them, I’d suggest on like the last day or two days (in case they end up not coming in or something) before the Christmas break or at the end of your last lesson with them before the break. You can go to their office and hand it in and have a little chat or you can just do it after lesson and have a little chat. If it’s after lesson you probably want to wait behind a bit so it’s not awkward for you if people see you or end up listening in on your conversation and also so you don’t feel rushed. I’m telling you about it now so you have time to think about what you’re gonna write, what card you’re gonna get etc etc (if you don’t have the money to buy one, make one!!)

9. does your tc drink or smoke?

He drinks :) there’s a pub down the road from my school and on some Friday nights (before lockdown) he would go with his friends to the pub and drink. Others have seen him there a couple of times as well haha
