i know stsg is the more popular ship for a reason, and i love them, but there's a special place in my heart for itafushi

satosugu has all the lore, the symbolism, the entwined fates. they're the perfect doomed yaoi, no doubt

but itafushi...the hope, the perserverance, the care they treat each other with, it's just everything to me. in a world full of so much hate and fear, they persist and seek to save each other, no matter how doomed things might appear

anyway, all this to say that, to me, itafushi is about hope, and that's simply impossible to beat :)

satoru gojo is actually so fucking insane. like no, you don’t get it. yeah yeah, he’s the strongest, whatever. but do you actually understand what that means? do you get how unfair he is? how beyond human comprehension his abilities are? bro is not just strong. he rewrites the entire playing field the moment he steps into a fight. and the worst part?? he isn’t just some guy with an overpowered ability—he is skilled as hell too. like if he didn’t have infinity, if he didn’t have six eyes, if he had literally the most mid cursed technique in existence, he would STILL be a monster. because he’s just built different.

like. do you know how scary it is that gojo doesn’t get hit. ever. his whole thing is that he is untouchable. people don’t try to beat gojo, they just pray they can survive long enough to run away. and he’s not just outlasting them, he’s toying with them. you can’t touch him. you can’t hit him. you can’t even REACH him. and while you’re struggling to even graze him, he’s already planning five moves ahead, analyzing your technique, deciding which level of strength he needs to use so he doesn’t kill you too fast.

and then there’s hollow purple. bro. HOLLOW PURPLE. what do you even DO when that comes at you?? he doesn’t just punch people really hard. he doesn’t just blast them with energy. he ERASES them. he deletes anything in its path. imagine seeing a massive, glowing ball of death coming toward you and knowing that if it even grazes you, you’ll literally just cease to exist. like what the fuck.

and then on top of all that, he’s out here acting like the most unserious person alive. because he CAN. imagine being so untouchable that you can fight the most dangerous people in the world while cracking jokes and giggling. imagine being so powerful that you have to blindfold yourself just to function properly. imagine walking around knowing there is literally no one above you. no one who can challenge you. no one who can keep up with you.

but that’s the thing. he’s alone. because no one can match him, no one can carry the weight of what he carries, no one can truly understand what it means to be him. because he’s not just the strongest for fun. he’s the strongest because if he’s not, everything falls apart. if gojo loses, it’s over. if gojo isn’t gojo, the world collapses. like how the fuck do you live like that.

and now he’s gone. and everything is falling apart. and i hate it here.
