Strolling around is the best way of authentic experiences

Soo… Rome, what a place! Except from all the super nice and sweet tourist sightseeing that you can do such as the Colosseum, Vatican City, St. Peter's Square, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, The Sistine Chapel, Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps and much much more, it is always nice to get away from the crowded tourist mass and find your own escapes! We believe in local culture and finding the unshaped pearls of every city and create your own experiences. A lot like "oh what did you do in Rome, this time? Did you see the Colosseum? - No, actually not, but we strolled around in the Testaccio area south from it, and took a food tour…"

Strolling Around Is The Best Way Of Authentic Experiences

Testaccio is a great place to find amazing restaurants, cafés and bars. It's a little neighborhood that introduce you to the city that loves to eat high qualitative, local produced and fresh meals. Cantina & Cucina the perfect place to rest your feet and legs after a long day of walking. There they serve the most easiest but deliciouses dishes, and specially hipster love this place. For vegetarians in Rome are really in heaven, since almost every restaurant has a vegetarian friendly menu, and Cantina & Cucina as well, with super fresh and delicious vegetable. Otherwise a good carbonara is always a great carbonara.

So if you travel to Rome, please visit the Testaccio region and find your own authentic experiences in the local neighborhoods, whereas the real Rome shows itself.

So, have you ever wondering why the Netherlands is also called holland and why the people is called Dutch? Well in Old English dutch meant nation or people, which also explains why Germany is called Deutschland in German. In the early 1500s, parts of Germany and the Netherlands, along with Belgium and Luxembourg, were all part of the Holy Roman Empire. And over time, English-speaking people used the word Dutch to describe the people from both the Netherlands and Germany. Hence, they specifically phrased High Dutch, referring to people from the mountainous area of what now is southern Germany. Low Dutch referred to people from the more flatter lands, what now is the Netherlands. The Netherlands was back then used to describe people from the low-lying (nether) region (land). The term was spread and widely used in the whole Europe, and when they became a separate and formal country in 1815, they became the Kingdom of the Netherlands. However, the word Holland literally meant wood-land in Old English and originally referred to people that were from the northern region of the Netherlands, and over time it came to apply to the entire country. Now you have some background knowledge to impress the Dutch with when you are in Amsterdam! Stay tuned for hostel, bar, restaurant and activity tips and tricks!

Berlin's best Spring Rolls!

Do you love vietnamese food just as much as we do? Then you really have to visit Monsieur Vuong. Located in Mitte, a pulsing neighborhood, which is full of bars, restaurants, shopping and sweet locals, makes it a perfect place to eat lunch or dinner, we specially recommend their vietnamese fresh or fried spring rolls. The restaurants continuously change the daily meny, so they do always have really fresh groceries. And if you are not so familiar with vietnamese food it is always good to order the chef’s choice. The dishes is even divided in a full or half dish, which makes it possible to combine more than one dish or even share with your friends, so you experience as much as possible! Except of the spring rolls they have a lot of different Vietnamese food, such as soups, wok, special drinks and more! But all with the touch and style of Monsieur Vuong. Try it out, it’s fantastic!

Berlin's Best Spring Rolls!

P.S. It is not possible to order a table, so if you are more than 4 people you probably should visit it not during the prime-time, hence the waiting for a table can take a while, BUT! It is still worth it!. For more information, please visit Monsieur Vuong.
