His First Crime Of Many

I think one of the things that keeps me so invested and in love with Empires is how much care the cc’s themselves pour into it and how much pride they show for it. They all clearly love Empires and it makes watching them get excited about new details and custom textures fun to watch because you get excited with them. You see how much care they all put in with their builds and ideas and the fact they’ve all paid for custom assets and skins to make the world more immersive. Watching them feel finish a new build feels satisfying as they add to these beautiful locations that no matter the build style you can tell they’ve all worked so hard on.

The carefully crafted details in Pearl’s Smallholdings making it feel warm and well worked. How absolutely insane the Mezala Materal Palace is with its beautiful towers and sprawling terrace gardens. The way Mythland feels huge and sprawling and so so detailed as literally everyone points out how large it all is. The beautiful organics and custom trees that makes you feel like your a gnome yourself watching people walk through the Undergrove. How much hard work is clearly put into the Codlands and how it feels rustic and real. How the Grimlands looks it’s name with the sheer atmosphere of the Deepslate Redstone corruption spreading through the planes. How majestic Rivendell feels with a color scheme that stands out against the grays of the custom cliffs as it rises higher and higher. The way bright colors and towering temples peak through the lush jungle trees of the Lost Empires making you feel like you’ve stumbled upon it. How the Blooming Grove looks it’s name with how bright and alive it is with giant flowers blooming high in the air. How the Ocean Queen’s Domain looks as though it’s rising out of the sea with gleaming coral domes as proof. How The Crystal Cliffs weaves its way through its namesake with beautiful purple contrasts adding to the magical feel. How Pixandria stands against the desert and feels as through its survived through strength with beautiful and creative uses of space in lieu of grass or other greenery that gives an entirely different feel.

Then watching everyone praise each other’s builds and say how much they love each other’s empires. Hearing how much they all admire each other’s work and what they’ve chosen to focus on. It just feels good man.

Then after all this amazing work watching them create this interconnected story that’s interesting no matter who you watch. Where everyone has a role and motives and who all feel like fully fleshed out characters. A story that everyone has their stakes in but no one feels like their unimportant or overlooked. With a terrifying main villain with ties to many different people in different ways. The twists that you don’t expect but make sense. The way the story invites investment. The atmosphere they all create not only with their builds but with their acting and reactions.

Basically The Empires SMP is amazing and so are the cc’s and if any of them see this thank you for all the hard work you’ve put into this series.

Boris cocked his head, his eyes lingering on the space where Ex’s throat was hidden by his armor.

“You know, I’ve been looking forward to a bit of a challenge,” he drawled. 

Ex bristled, made his threats, raised his sword. He came here to rid his territory of this fiend, and he wasn’t going to let a few ominous words dissuade him. 

The fight was messy. Neither could land a hit, and X was losing his temper, taking riskier swings, and he probably shouldn’t be so reckless, probably should have thought this through, but then again, when had he ever thought something like this through before? 

Boris’ foot slammed into Ex’s knee and his leg buckled, sending him crashing unceremoniously to the floor. Before he could recover, there were clawed fingers scrambling at his helmet, trying to pry it from his head. Ex struck out with a kick, missing, and was rewarded by having his head lifted from the ground, only to be slammed back down onto the jagged rocks. His helmet softened the blow, and the second, until on the third, spidery cracks began to creep across his visor. 

With a final grunt of exertion, Boris pried the damaged helmet from Ex’s head and wrenched his chin to the side, finally sinking his fangs into his now exposed neck. 

Ex swore, oh heck did that hurt, and really, this was what he got for being such a derp and doing this on his own. And wow, he was probably really concussed, too, the world probably shouldn’t be spinning like that, or maybe that was blood loss. 

After a moment, Boris dropped his grip, rearing back with a look of disgust and wiping at the dribble of blood on his chin. 

“What the- What are you?” he grimaced, staring at the smear of red on his hand with a good deal of confusion. 

Too tired to really respond, Ex just held up a particularly impolite hand gesture and promptly passed the heck out.

As for how X would have reacted; I think mostly the same, only he would have been a lot harder to calm down. Boris already got what he wanted, though, so he was really only peckish. Ex should be fine. Probably.

It's Finally Happening - Changes to Dream SMP, 3rd Life/Last Life, and other SMP fandoms!

Hello!

Some exciting changes are coming to Video Blogging RPF over the next few weeks! We are happy to announce that Dream SMP, 3rd Life | Last Life SMP Series, Empires SMP, and a number of other Survival Multiplayer (SMP) Minecraft roleplay fandoms will be getting their very own fandom tags. These changes will be starting 10 May 2022, beginning with Dream SMP.

We want to thank you for your patience both in getting to this point, and in the coming weeks as these changes take place! Our volunteers have worked hard towards this change since 2021, and we will do our best to make this transition go as smoothly as possible.
