theres a phenomenon that happens on here i have been calling "normalize loving parents posting" which is when you spend a lot of time on tumblr and are exposed to a lot of one specific counter-cultural narrative day in and day out until you start to forget what the dominant ideas are for most of the human population and thus feel the need to "defend" things that are widely accepted and popular. it's called this because of the time a bunch of text posts about shitty dads were circulating and then people with good relationships with their dad didn't feel included enough and started making "uhmmm can we normalize loving parents? not everyone has a deadbeat dad, MY dad is great" type posts, seemingly forgetting that good relationship with dad is a cultural norm that is expected and encouraged. i think its good practice, especially when im annoyed, to stop before i hit the post button and ask myself if this is a real issue or if im normalize loving parents posting. because often im about to try to normalize loving parents

one of the most gender non conforming things a woman can do is refuse to suffer lol

I think about your post about women’s feminist views coming from a place of genuinely loving men a lot.

radfeminism in general comes from a place of wanting to reform men and convince them to be niceys because women cannot let go of their love for them and honestly genuinely truly want to be loved back. and the tryhard misandry comes from a place of hurt, the realization that men view them as subhuman even though they crave their affection, respect and attention like nothing else - while desperately wanting to be treated as an equal. this is why they willingly and readily abandon both when the right nigel comes along lol they think that their nigel is different and that they themselves are different because they're experiencing it firsthand and their experiences are real, unlike everyone else's. but that's to be expected in a hetero society, no amount of politics will ever keep women and men from each other

"You can't blame that woman for what she did, she was conditioned to behave that way by the patriarchy!" (Radfems whenever they arbitrarily decide to remove agency from certain women and not others.)

Why does that matter? Nearly everything we think is a result of conditioning.

Our conditioning determines whether we stuff ourselves past the point of hunger because there's still food on our plate, and we were taught it's wrong to ever waste it.

Or if we think it's okay for parents to belt their children as a form of punishment, or for a husband to apply "domestic discipline" to keep his wife in line.

Or if we believe elders deserve a heightened level of respect.

Or if we think homosexuality is a sin based on what religion we were brought up in.

We are initially handed all of our beliefs by someone else, and when we reach the age of reason we are responsible for choosing for ourselves whether they're correct or not. Hear me, hypocrites: 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘯𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴!

Would you give your homophobic boomer neighbor a pass for their beliefs? Why not? They're only acting from their conditioning, and that makes them blameless for what they continue to believe, correct?

If a parent dragged their kids to church and terrorized them with the threat of hellfire and damnation if they didn't get right with God, you wouldn't blame them according to your principles, right? They're only repeating what their parents said, who repeated what their parents said, and so on. Why would you expect them to think for themselves and break the cycle when you don't expect the same from women?

Or is it that you're actually just a walking stereotype of the way women are supposedly allergic to reason, logic, and accountability, because the only people who you believe aren't responsible for overcoming their conditioning are women?

"You Can't Blame That Woman For What She Did, She Was Conditioned To Behave That Way By The Patriarchy!"

👆 Radfems embody this stereotype, and CLEARLY that doesn't embarrass them, but it does embarrass me and other women who try to apply our principles consistently. That's why I distanced myself. We are not the same.

If I'm being honest I think that the worsening of boys grades in school over the past few decades is due to the rise in single motherhood. I mean let's be real, most heterosexual women are pathetic pick mes. When they have sons they refuse to discipline them and baby and coddle the crap out of them. Most mothers will sniff the farts of their sons and say it smells good. On the other hand, these women will treat their daughters like they are never good enough, which leads their daughters to try everything they can to be worthy of their love. So is it any surprise that the daughters of these women generally get better grades than their sons?

Is it not patronizing to claim that women are unintelligent to the point of always falling for social conditioning and propaganda and that women's decisions are always informed by such as a result? Because that is the notion that radical feminism is promoting and has been ever since I became acquainted with it.

Women are adults capable of making informed decisions and this fact remains true even if you believe that said decisions put women in a worse light. Besides, not only is this denial of women's agency patronizing, it is also offensive to the women from developing countries who continuously make decisions that do not involve exploitation or abuse under much worse pressure only to be lectured by western "feminists" on how impossible it is to achieve.

Blaming women for any part of their oppression is misogynistic. Yes women are the guard dogs of the patriarchy, but because their life is on the line if they don't
