Finalled this today, for my oldest. I hand stamped the runes with some tools I fabricated; I'd really like to find some rune stamps...but for now, here it is. Hand wrought gives me a lot of satisfaction.

Stamping, shaped, soldered, shaped into a ring, and a little acid to bring out the runes. Final finish will happen when Big Fella drops by, so that I can size it to his 13+ finger, then do the last shaping, sanding, and polish it. Love doing this, so I do!

Regarding the protests in Michigan and elsewhere, I see a few conservative/right of center talking heads carping about the folks who chose to exercise their rights and carry arms to the protests. The way I understand our country's history, and the men who started it, leads me to one opinion only, and that is this: as I have seen or heard it, if this makes politicians nervous, then they are wishing to pull the kind of crap on us that they cannot while we are armed. Let's keep it that way. As for the rest, Lead, Follow, Or Get The Fuck Out Of The Way. Fence sitters are going to have to choose... 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This is capitalism's vast irrationality and inhumanity in action. Markets and The Economy™ matter more to capitalism than the concrete distribution of resources according to tangible human need.

Resources exist in abundance -- give them to people. Housing sits empty -- give it to people. The rules of the feast table should apply to our economic system -- no one gets seconds until everyone has gotten a plate.

We stand at a crossroads in these chaotic times: socialism or barbarism! The ruling class repeatedly chooses the latter. We need to organize and choose the former!

So, about 4 years ago, this fluffball showed up, and made friends with our Boxer, Morena. They spent a lot of time together in the following years - almost 3 - and Morrie left us, having had a loving and full life. Timber remains, and sleeps with one of Morrie's toys, on my toolbox bench, which, incidentally, is just about her favorite cold weather spot. She believes my wife is her personal posession. Now, I'm not claiming to be anything more than a wrench that can also fab, so bear that in mind as you peruse my Tale of Woe. Ran out of solid wire, while building a large hose rack. Had a spool of gasless fluxcore wire on the welding cart. Ignoring the dust on the package, installed, fed the gun and...ran. One. Bead. Then, I remembered how much I despise gfw for this particular application...My waaaaycool multiprocess rig damned nearly can run itself - and even IT hates gfw. Time to go visit my favorite welding supply!
