thinking about the absolutely poetic symbolism of the war crime sign being removed to make space for the execution device... thinking about ghostbur singing the l’manberg anthem while running around with friend and reminding tubbo of the core values l’manberg was built upon... thinking about how imprisoning phil in his house goes against all those values... thinking about how before he blew up l’manberg wilbur said it was because that it wasn’t the place it was built to be anymore and that it has become what it had been made to be a haven from.... thinking about how wilbur was right all along and also the best president l’manberg ever had because he didn’t interfere in other citizen’s lives... thinking about how power or want of power corrupts everyone on the server.... thinking about ranboo’s note in his memory book saying “the walls are still up. even if dream takes them down. the are still up.”... thinking about how ranboo is one of the only citizens of l’manberg who understands and upholds its values.... thinking about the poetry of it all....
still amazes me that by season 45 or whatever, Supernatural was being exclusively watched by delusionally hopeful women with flamingo-salinity tolerance for bad writing and the creators still couldn’t pander to them because maybe there was 1 straight guy out there still accidentally watching it
can i just say? i’m 100% on c!tommy’s side here, i thought it was great that he had that moment of realization that he started caring too much about the discs and he was starting to push away tubbo, his best friend, and it was making him do things he resented. but techno?
even after everything that happened he still took tommy in, gave him shelter, hid him from dream, gave him armor and eventually learned to be open with his plans around him. tommy, who essentially used him as a weapon! who marked techno down as being on his side and then refused to listen to his ideas about the government. who painted techno as a villain when all he ever did was stick to the values he was always open with.
techno went to the festival with the full intention of sticking by tommy’s side no matter what only to get cast aside yet again, by someone he genuinely thought he could trust.
and a big part of this is that tommy wasn’t always on board with destroying l’manburg even when he said that he was and there’s a big miscommunication aspect here but damn if i don’t feel for pig man. it really feels like no one’s been on his side for the beginning and maybe he has a right to feel angry about that.
"How do you kill God?"
"You don't! He doesn't exist!" A ghost answers with a smile.
"How do you kill God?"
"With a surprise." A young president answers with a frown.
"How do you kill God?"
"With your words." A vice president answers with clenched fists.
"How do you kill God?"
"With force!" A young hero laughs, tainted with a hint of sadness.
"How do you kill God?"
God himself asks, then answers as he faces a crowd of angry mortals.
"You don't."
i love having mutuals who are the authority on a specific fictional character
part 2 + my thoughts
please note that this is non-canonical (it didn’t happen) & it was written on dec 5th, before the bulk of Tommy’s Exile.
The enhancing mutagen is 5th level, and the surgical strike is 9th level!
The updated (and hopefully finalized) version of the Stitcher!
