Raku has been thinking for several months about starting to live alone. He would soon start going to college and needed to find an apartment that was near his study center and also a library if possible.

Last night he was browsing an advertisement announcing various apartments in a building near the college. The rent varied according to the size of the apartment and there were cheap and expensive apartments. The most expensive ones were located on the last floors of the building, while the cheaper ones were on the first floors.

His family was modestly economically and could not afford a large apartment, so he showed his interest in the cheaper apartments, but he wanted to see them before contacting the landlord.

He got up early in the morning, ate breakfast, left the house, and walked to the bus stop.

When he arrived at those apartments he saw a building with a beautifully decorated garden. After looking at the garden, he walked to the door. He looked at the apartment numbers. He needed to call a neighbor so he could tell him something about the apartments, so he pushed a button on a random apartment number.

After a few seconds he could hear someone's breath through the entry phone.

"Good morning, I'm sorry if I bothered you. I would like to talk about these departments. I want to move one of them, but I would like to see them sooner. "He said in a kind voice.

The boy was too cheerful for her dull and cold personality, mostly she would hear from her club members a polite response and do what they were told even if some (the old members) would talk back sometimes when they didn’t like her opinions or her choices but this boy was… A little different of what she has seen of her members.

Whatever, she thought while looking at his back and seeing the door slide back, closing it. She could feel the look of some of the club members and she looked back at the direction of these looks.

“Are you free? Are you not? Go back to work and stop wasting time!” She exclaimed, making the members startled of her words, going back to what they were doing, some even leaving the room so they couldn’t receive another call of attention of their scary president.

She didn’t have another “job” for him. Just what she gave him, so him getting back from his “job” would be a waste of time. She will send him back to help with decorations. This was her last year in school and she will see this cultural festival as a success of her presidency. Just needed to take care of some thugs who didn’t think that way.

The boy walked towards the schoolyard where the stands of the various clubs of the school were located. The boy approached the members of each club giving them the sheets that the president had given him. He also asked if the members of each stand needed anything that could help.

He spent a lot of time in the school yard going to all the stands. Some needed more material, some more space, but there was one thing that all members of the stands complained about.

It seems that some thugs did not stop to annoy the members making the tasks of the stands were delayed. It was definitely a big problem.

Raku thought of going to tell the president, but he knew she had already noticed this problem. Should he try to solve the problem himself? He thought he had upset the president too much.

Strolling around the schoolyard he could see a group of girls bothering the members of the art club who were placing their works so that the other students could see them.

One of the girls threw a picture on the floor and trampled it. Then she began to laugh in a brazen way. That was the moment Raku knew how to stop it.

The boy walked towards the girls with an angry face. Then he looked up.

"Are not you embarrassed to do this?" "Why do you do that?" "They are your classmates, you should help them instead of disturbing them."

Then Raku stopped talking. He uttered those words without even thinking about it. At that moment he was not aware that he could get in trouble.

The girls were approaching him. The girl who looked like the leader of the group confronted him by telling him that he would regret what he had said.

She was walking quickly to the halls of the school. She just came out of class to have lunch but that the least of her worries. Coming closer the cultural festival, she was even busier than ever with all the paperwork and accepting or denying stands, assort decorations.

Chie was getting tired and distracted, even to the point to crash with another student while she was reading some documents her vice president gave her before running to the gym and finish decorating the place.

“I apologise. I didn’t see where I was going” She knelt to grab her documents and get back to the student council room and do more work, as always. “Again, I apologise for this accident”

Raku was walking towards a soda machine when someone suddenly crash his back.

"Ouch ..." He turned and saw a girl on the floor.

Quickly the girl got up and picked up the papers from the floor. Before the girl continued on her way, the boy walked toward her.

"Hey, are you okay?" The boy saw the girl's red forehead because of the blow.

"I'm sorry ... I was in the middle of your path and it looks like you were in a hurry ..." The boy placed his hand on his head ashamed.

Then the boy took a band aid from his backpack and offered it to the girl. "You can use this if you want. I'm from the basketball club and I often get small injuries."
