Our fandom needs more Weird Steve. Hear me out.
I can't explain it, but this feels like a Steve story.
Like, I feel like Steve is one of those people who seem so normal but have had so many not normal experiences it all just feels normal to them?
The type to tell stories that leaves a room dead silent when he expected them to laugh. Tommy was fascinated from day one "I can't let my best friend know how weird he actually is".
Say, imagine if he's traveled with his parents, I would not be surprised if little Steve talked to a serial killer at one point, he's super friendly when not bitchy. Face of a guy comes on the news while they're eating breakfast, Steve "Mom, my friend's on tv!"
It was the nice man who helped him cross the street and find his parents when he wandered off.
Steve having had actual Home Alone experiences at some point, inspiring the movie somehow.
Steve dealing with the party and being a good babysitter cause he rolls with shit. "Yeah, this is normal kid shit, I'll go with it." It is in fact not normal kid shit, Steve, your experiences are not universal.
Just give me your weird Steve headcanons please, I crave them.
Danny Fenton, a new receptionist at Wayne Enterprises:
Vicky Vale, knowing Danny Is Not Ready for her: So, where does Bruce Wayne leave for during his meetings? A new woman? Man? Trouble in the family?
Danny "Town Menace Phantom" Fenton, done with Genderbent Wes Weston: To fuck your mom.
Bruce's experienced receptionist that left for 6 seconds: okay, Danny no--
Danny, who knows something's up with the Wayne family: and your Dad, because we support the LGBTQIA community. Thank you and leave.
“Shen Qingqiu! What is this nonsense about Qing Jing requisitioning a disguise for one of its members?! You would dare send one of your little disciples trussed up like a pretty young mistress! Even I thought you better than”–
Qi Qingqi’s voice cut off on an extremely strangled note. She and the other Peak Lords all seemed unable to capture an ounce of oxygen.
Cang Qiong’s finest were gathered in a elegant war room, massive tables shoved to the side, covered with maps and intelligence reports: A mind-numbing amount of information scattered across sheaves of paper and neatly written on large boards; they spanned the walls not open to the serene nature of Qing Jing’s outdoors.
The murmuring of focused and purposeful Qing Jing disciples hushed at Qi Qingqi’s outraged exclamation and the sudden appearance of a majority of their shibo.
In the midst of the room, Shen Qingqiu stood, hands frozen in the action of sheathing a dagger to his inner thigh. While normally, such a sight would be arresting enough, it paled in comparison to the vision Qing Jing’s Lord made currently.
His eyes caught wide and surprised were rimmed with coal and rouge, claret lips parted infinitesimally. Gentle strands of hair framed his face and cascaded down his curved back. Hair ornaments tinkled and glittered in the silken black waves.
Delicate, airy robes flirted with graceful wrists, red lacquered nails making a pleasing contrast. Carmine and the tones of blushing rose danced about Shen Qingqiu, gentle fabric draping from his shapely frame; soft skin of his collarbones an–and the rounded mound of his, hi-his bust? Exposed. As was the refined line of sinewy thigh.
S-sshink!
Shen Qingqiu’s hand leaves the handle of the blade, nebulous skirts falling back into place, his pale thighs veiled from sight once more.
“Qi-shimei, Liu-shidi, Zhangmen-shixiong?”– Shen Qingqiu's eyes quickly take in the numerous uninvited visitors, yet his lilting voice doesn’t quicken from its whiplike cadence –”To what do I owe the pleasure of a visit from Yue-shixiong and my shidimen?”
For some unknowable reason, Sect Master Yue and the Bai Zhan War God forsook courtesy for silence.
“Rather, to what does this Master owe my beloved sect siblings appearance,” the polished voice drawled, “ whose purpose is no doubt to meddle in the affairs of a Qing Jing operation? Without, may I add, any proper knowledge of the purpose of this operation to begin with?”
Mu Qingfang, who to this point was standing unobtrusively to the side, stepped forward, courteously greeting the Maste– Lady? Of Qing Jing.
His fellow peak lords prayed blessings, to be gifted such a level headed martial brother!
“These shidi apologize for the discourtesy, Shen-shixiong.” Mu Qingfang’s voice may have hesitated, or stuttered, and almost uttered ‘shijie’ but no one noticed because they were too caught up in their own lawless thoughts.
A Qing Jing disciple helpfully handed Shen Qinqqiu a fan. With a crack! It met his open palm, a gavel descrying doom.
Haloed in light, the Qing Jing Master stood like a wrathful goddess, a holy judge tired of the sullying presence of mortals.
Qing Jing’s Master, when garbed in his usual attire, was a sharp, intimidating figure. Graceful in his execution of masculinity, not unlike a dagger. Moreso, then, donning the mantle of femininity. Some intangible attributes changed, that when masculine, repelled, yet when feminine compelled. Those certain peak lords were unprepared to handle such a thing.
Shen Qingqiu tsked, turning his back he subsequently ignored them after hand-waving a disciple into acting as the hospitality.
The wrong-footed peak lords were bundled off to the side and laden with tea and light victuals, being appeased into silence and unobtrusiveness by snacks. If some of the scholarly disciples secretly thought of it as the kiddie table, that's for them to know, isn’t it?
Silly SVSSS AU/fic prompt when Shen Jiu is away on mission finds baby Shen Yuan and takes him back, Shen Yuan looks like his previous self similar to Shen Jiu but not identical. So everyone is convinced he is biologically Shen Jiu's child.
The peak lords find out and freak out...only instead of assuming that the child other parent is a concubine they think it's one of the other peak lords.
Shen Jiu: I found that brat on a mission he's not mine
Qi Qingqi: So you just happened to find a abandoned newborn who looks almost just like you while away on a nine month mission
Shen Jiu: Yes
Qi Qingqi:...
Just every single peak lord looking at all the others like 'Which one of you is the other parent?' just constantly looking between Shen Yuan and other peak lords trying to find similarities.
Shen Yuan terrified thinking all the peak lords are onto him when really they're just trying to figure out which of them gets to claim him as the other parent. (Also some of them really want to court Shen Jiu and are ready to propose... they're all been trying to court him for ages 1 look at Shen Jiu being all sweet with baby Shen Yuan and suddenly the wife beam KO'd all of them)
(Apart form Shang Qinghua who when people suspected him raise both hands like
SQH: NO WAY I DIDN'T HAVE SEX WITH HIM I COULDN'T HAVE I'M ENGAGED TO A DEMON...
Peak lords: Your what?
SQH:...oh fuck
Cue Shang Qinghua awkwardly asking Mobei Jun to pretend to be his fiancee please... Mobei Jun thinks his courting has finally worked)

A common problem writers face is "white room syndrome"—when scenes feel like they’re happening in an empty white room. To avoid this, it's important to describe settings in a way that makes them feel real and alive, without overloading readers with too much detail. Here are a few tips below to help!
You don’t need to describe everything in the scene—just pick a couple of specific, memorable details to bring the setting to life. Maybe it’s the creaky floorboards in an old house, the musty smell of a forgotten attic, or the soft hum of a refrigerator in a small kitchen. These little details help anchor the scene and give readers something to picture, without dragging the action with heaps of descriptions.
Instead of just focusing on what characters can see, try to incorporate all five senses—what do they hear, smell, feel, or even taste? Describe the smell of fresh bread from a nearby bakery, or the damp chill of a foggy morning. This adds a lot of depth and make the location feel more real and imaginable.
Have characters interact with the environment. How do your characters move through the space? Are they brushing their hands over a dusty bookshelf, shuffling through fallen leaves, or squeezing through a crowded subway car? Instead of dumping a paragraph of description, mix it in with the action or dialogue.
Sometimes, the setting can do more than just provide a backdrop—it can reinforce the mood of a scene or even reflect a theme in the story. A stormy night might enhance tension, while a warm, sunny day might highlight a moment of peace. The environment can add an extra layer to what’s happening symbolically.
The bookstore was tucked between two brick buildings, its faded sign creaking with every gust of wind. Inside, the air was thick with the scent of worn paper and dust, mingling with the faint aroma of freshly brewed coffee from a corner café down the street. The wooden floorboards groaned as Ella wandered between the shelves, her fingertips brushing the spines of forgotten novels. Somewhere in the back, the soft sound of jazz crackled from an ancient radio.
Hope these tips help in your writing!
Mmm burn out
Random thought. . .I'm just thinking about how if Steve does end up pregnant in season 5, it's definitely going to be by Nancy somehow, even if Jonathan is also included in the process. She's definitely going to be smug about it. Nancy Wheeler, a woman, got Steve Harrington, a man, pregnant. She's also really grateful that it wasn't her having to go through with it.
"I got a man pregnant without any help from anyone or anything!"
"Uh, didn't the bat bites - ," Robin started to point out.
"I SAID from anyone or anything," Nancy said.
"Uh, right."
SVSSS AU/fic prompt where the injuries that Shen Jiu gets in PIDW are counted as integral by the system, and since it can tell LBH isn't going to met requirements it takers into it's own hands.
So when SQQ/SY is in water prison and LBH comes to see him system sees requirements hit water prison LBH here perfect. SY getting barely any warning just a smiley face from system and then suddenly all the injuries happening at once.
LBH being knocked out of rage/monologue as he watches his shizun's arms and legs be ripped off by some unknown force and 1 eye ripped out.
Cue LBH freaking out abandoning all plans all ideas just focusing on saving his Shizun, instantly transporting to his palace in demon realm not finding any demonic energy no time to think of anything else but saving the others life. He'll figure out what that is when he knows the other is safe. Then he'll destroy whatever hurt is Shizun.
Everyone in Huan Hua palace freaking out especially anyone who entered before LBH had left.
It's not just SY who has the requirements SQH suddenly being at point when PIDW would have betrayed MBJ and suddenly stab wound appearing with ice coating it where PIDW was stabbed. Cue MBJ freaking out equal amounts and LBH.
The 2 demons are now the most overprotective partners after seeing their loved ones just instantly face awful injuries out of nowhere that they could have easily died.
