Wow, every word you said created an amazing speech, i noticed that u allowed ur emotions to express what u felt inside, through everything u said.. Yeah, what did you do, Lauren? It’s not even what you said, but the way you said it, the words you chose, the agressiveness in your speech. You know? When you’re being serious, mocking chuckles hit like a thousand daggers. Anyways, if you didn’t realize already, your words hurt thousands of people all over the world. Many cried. And many, MANY, got clogged with hate and bullying speeches for days. Some even got death threats!!!!!!!! My dear, you caused a big time shit storm! Intended or not, the fact is you gave wings to haters to bully LGBT+ people from your fandom and even other fandoms. You, of course, are not responsible for their actions, but you should be aware that they were triggered and fed by your words. And you, yourself, with your own choice of words, hurt that specific community that you normally defend. Don’t get all defensive here, I will explain below why I said that.

Before I go on, I want to remind you, even if you’re never reading this nor caring about anything I say, that I love you. I love your art, I love your strength to overcome the darkest of times, I love your courage to fight the current waves of hate towards many different communities, and I love every single time you show how empathic you are and how much your heart feels the need to spread love. I’ve said you are a being of love and light before, and I sustain that. But this time, with all due respect, you fucked up, honestly. You could have expressed yourself differently, because the way you did it, what we got was everything you constantly fight against: waves of hate.

Many fans think that your speech was unlike yourself and that, maybe, you were somehow asked or forced to speak that way. Or to push a certain narrative. If that was the case, we’re (still) all here ready to support you and fight for truth beside you. Let us know.

Yes, I am going to speak about that infamous “chat” En La Sala with Becky G “about Latinx pride”. I watched it twice and transcripted like 60% of it, but I’m going to pick some parts and comment on those only because this reading will take months otherwise. Heads up, I removed from transcriptions a bazillion ‘You know?’ ‘You know what I mean?’, but only that. From now on, It’s a quote from the chat and then my comments on it.
