CHARACTER(S): Amanda Young (SAW/âJigsawâ Franchise)
đȘĄ .*.. đ
Amanda as an older sister is something you never asked for, but appreciate everyday.
-> itâs her terrified eyes that glance back at yoursâ at your sudden discovery of her slicing into her arms and thighs, your own pain reflecting hers.
-> itâs the sound of her sleep-ridden screams that wake you, nightmares so familiar to her, yet never easier to shake.
-> itâs the discovery of needles, filled to the brim under the kitchen sinkâs cabinet that bring tears to your concerned eyes.
-> itâs the soothing texture of her hair through your fingers as she lets you play with it, giggles passed between the two of you from gossip about some new kid in your school.
-> itâs the old band tees and over-worn lacy bras that make you laugh at old photo albums of your childhood together.
-> itâs her laugh thatâs so contagious, yet so terrifyingly unfamiliar.
-> itâs the smiles she passes you in the middle of an argument with someone on the phone, reassuring you that sheâs just fed up with her âbossâ where she works.
-> itâs the way her facial expression contorts into a motherly amount of relief when she comes home late at night, finding you passed out on the shared, worn-in couch, TV static from a finished VHS tape illuminating your features in a way that shows youâre at peace. that youâre safe.
-> itâs the discomfort on her face as you question the markings on her inner forearms; immediately ignored, and told â(not) to worry about it, pumpkinâ.
-> itâs the realization that this domesticated life sheâs formed with you will end at some point.
-> itâs the pain-relieving pills that take up half of your side of the shared bathroomâs sink, scattered about miscellaneously the morning after a night out of partying together.
-> itâs the way sheâs dreading telling you sheâs not what you think she is- that sheâs a monster; that she kills people.
-> itâs the comfort in John Kramerâs words that churns her stomach; aching for a father figure she never had, the very father fighre youâll never get to experienceâ eating away guiltily at her conscious.
-> itâs the âimposter syndromeâ sheâs formed over the years that slowly tears the both of you apartâ youâre too pure, to perfect to know of the bloodshed sheâs caused.
-> itâs the tears shed into her dingy mattress that wakens you from your sleep, pulling you to her room and sitting with her, immediately diving into an embrace so tight you can feel the way her heart rapidly âthumpsâ against her skinny frame.
-> itâs the way the words âiâm so sorry iâm the way i amâ passes her thin and chapped lips so unfamiliarly, youâre almost scared by the sheer force of emotion in her tone.
-> itâs the way she knows you donât understand what she means, but stay near her anyways, her fingers delved so far into your skin youâre sure itâs bound to rip.
GIRL UNCLENCH YOUR JAW? NO BEAR TRAP IS COMING TO GET YOU-
John Kramer is so the dad that's randomly like "you know I'm not always gonna be around-" and ofc Amanda cried every time
the thing about The Craft (1996) is that i think it's a really great movie about lonely outcasts getting revenge on their tormentors with the power of homoerotic female friendship so long as you turn it off halfway through when they get to the beach. that's it that's the end of the movie nothing happens after that don't worry about it
