I have a hunch that OP dislikes the Minions.
How are you today?
Yesterday my dad made me see the Minions movie. I knew this was inevitable. Heās been pestering me for over a month to see the minions with him.Ā āDo you want to see the Minions?āĀ āHey, when it comes out, you wanna see the Minions with me?ā.Ā āSo⦠Minions this weekend?ā. And those are the simple questions. I cannot tell you how many times he just shoutsĀ ābanana!!ā. My dad is 6ā²2 and at least 220 pounds. Heās the same age as Disneyland. He turned 60 this year. This huge ass, 60 year old white man just shouting banana. Not only that but whenever he sees Minion merch, he has to point it out. And say banana. You know that poster where you can see the minionsā yellow asses? Yeah he thinks thatās the funniest shit in existence. I want that poster to be obliterated off the face of the planet. Anyways, he finally took us to the Minion movie yesterday. Just straight up, walked into my room, told me to get up. Weāre seeing the Minions. Right now. So we went. We went and you know what happened? An hour and a half of the minions talking in their gibberish language while we were expected to laugh. We watched the minions serve evil people throughout history, and they witnessed so much death. I just wish one of the deaths they couldāve witnessed was my own. They donāt speak english, yet they all have names like Bob, Kevin and Stewart. Why. If theyāve been here for thousands of years, then why? They were told to go steal the crowned jewels of England. Thatās all fine and all, but they disguised themselves as a woman. They stacked up and put a sweater on, and one of the minions eyes was supposed to resemble titties. Minion titties. I will have nightmares about lifting my shirt and seeing minion eyes there instead of titties. Like three minutes after that scene they break into the Tower of England and encounter some guards. They deal with the guards by hypnotizing them. The minion sings in his own language, and all of the guards, who are very large white men, strip to their underwear and sing along with him while dancing. This sequence lasted for two minutes, but it felt like two years. Then after that there was a mishap, and one of the minions ended up lifting the sword in the stone and because of that, became king of England. This tiny little yellow fuckface that has heterochromia for no reason in particular is worthy to lift the sword. But why would they make him king. Why would that happen. He becomes king and thereās a five minute montage of him and his friends messing around the castle and making the servantās lives a living nightmare. During this scene is that notorious bath scene. That happens. Thatās something my father paid for me to watch, and an animator somewhere in this cruel cruel world was paid to make. Anyways they got in trouble by the lady who told them to steal the crown and she locked them in the dungeon. Her husband, who looked shockingly like the Once-ler, might I add, tried to torture them. But it didnāt work. They treated the noose like a swing. The rack didnāt do a thing to them. It then turned into the minions taking fun torture selfies with the aforementioned once-ler look alike. It wasnāt torture for the minions, it was torture for us, the audience. Eventually the minions get caught, all except Kevin, the alpha minion, and to stop his minion friends form being killed by the main antagonist, he ends up growing to be 300 feet tall and wrecks havoc on the city. He saves his friends from dying by swallowing the missile himself, and then explodes with the main antagonist in hand. And the minions cry, and they start playing taps for their lost minion friend. Finally, it seemed like this movie was taking a turn for the better. They finally killed one of the minions. Sure, they had already killed me in the process, but if I die, one of those alex louis armstrong awful twinkies might as well bite the dust too. But no. He came back. In his underwear, using his overalls that for some reason hadnāt shrunk as a parachute. He was alive. The minions cheered. My soul shriveled up. The minions are then knighted by the queen of England for saving the day. Why, I wonder. They started this to begin with. Sure, they fixed the problem, but they also started it. Instead of using the sword to knight them, the queen shouldāve used it to behead them. The crowd cheered. The day was saved, thanks to those tiny yellow gently caress nuts. They even began to sing. Again. I feel like itās important to mention that the minions broke into song every couple of minutes. By this point I had basically melted into the seat and was close to falling to the floor but I saw no point to sit back up straight. I had no will to move back up in my chair. If gravity and death itself wanted to take me, then so be it. I will accept that fate. Anyways, that was not the end of the movie. Main antagonist came back inexplicably, completely unharmed, and tried to steal the crown one last time. Only to be stopped by child gru, with hair. Sure, he was cute, but we saw Gru as a child in the first movie. He didnāt have hair. Speaking of inconsistencies, he made the minions. This movie had no reason to exist. Anyways, he takes the crown and leaves, and the minions follow him. Itās over. Itās over. My dad had us wait until the end of the credits. Apparently it wasnāt over. We got to watch the minions mess around with child Gru, and in turn, they got to watch all remaining life in my withered husk of a body get sucked out. At the very end, one of the minions sang along with Revolution by the Beatles. That was one of my favorite songs by the Beatles. I donāt want to ever hear it again. That movie ruined me. Every time i see the color yellow, I feel pain. The light of the sun no longer brings me joy. it just reminds me of the inevitable cry I will either hear from my father, little kids, or from those awful creature in ads, toys and videos:Ā āBanana.ā
i rlly dont want the theater industry to die. seeing a movie is like?? a hard emotional reset when i need it most. get away from my family + my house and sit in big dark room for 2 hours eating overpriced food???? that is the closest i will get to heaven before i die. i love movie theaters so much. please God let them live
Why is this my essay with the most notes this is one of my weaker one's
Out of all the Homestuck characters thereās one I feel like doesnāt get the proper attention he deserves and thatās Equius Zahhak. Which I think is a damn shame because if you take time to analyze him Equius is an extremely compelling character and I hope to shed a spotlight on him.
First of all l understand why people donāt like Equius and why I think what people donāt like is exactly what makes his characterization interesting. Letās get the obvious out of the way Equius is consistently characterized by his creepiness. He constantly engages in weird behavior. He constantly sweats has a weird fixation on the hemospectrum, and becomes a flustered mess whenever some uses as he put it āFoul Language". No doubt about it he is a strange loner with poor social skills and thatās part of what makes him work. Due his strange tendencies he is often underappreciated by his peers. For example him making Aradia bot having blue blood while it is creepy he saw it as a legitimate gift to Aradia. He has an extremely strong borderline obsessive respect for the hemospectrum so he made Aradiaās blood blue to serve her and her greater agenda. His servitude is also a reason people donāt find him all that compelling .Equius by his very nature does not live for himself and thatās exactly why heās interesting. Equius looks for the meaning to his own life from taking command from people of higher authority than him and even people with little authority over him. As a prime example Nepta who he has the closest relationship with with there interactions he still has a servant like role. He does whatever he thinks will make Nepta the most happy which if you stop and think about is not a normal relationship .Iām not suggesting that there relationship is parasitic or toxic in someway in fact quite the opposite this is just how he approach relationships. All of this showās a fundamental truth about Equius as a character has no personal meaning to life.
Why does Equius life philosophy matter and how does it relate to the overall narrative? First we must tell an important truth about Equius: he has no personal meaning for life. This represented by his aspect Void. Void fundamentally represents emptiness and oblivion which is representative of Equius character .Itās not a stretch to say that Equius philosophy is Nihilistic or rather his lack of one .This is also why people widely seem to forget about Equius both in universe and out of universe but I think is nihilistic philosophy is fascinating. You may be wondering but Gamzee also is a nihilist and heās far from underappreciated. The main difference is that despite him having no true purpose he still remains an active character. Gamzee when heās sober he kills for no identifiable reason unlike someone like Eridan who has clear motives for killing people. When heās stoned despite him talking a lot he isnāt very active. Much like his stoner persona he couldnāt care less about taking any direct action. What show this the most is that his advice for dealing with your problems is to simply slam a Faygo and wait for miracles. Gamzee is a character who just letās things passively happen to him and doesnāt concern himself with the bigger picture. Heās very similar to Equius in having a very passive approach to life whoever what cementās Gamzee as a fan favorite and Equius as largely forgotten is whereas Gamzee doesnāt care about the plot the plot doesnāt care about Equius. Gamzee despite being mindless in his killings he still serves as a major threat so despite his passive mindset he still is an active character. Similarly due to stoned Gamzeeās social nature he becomes a relevant character simply because other characters listen to what he has to say even he doesnāt have much to say. It make me sad to see such an interesting character be overshadowed by his very nature but alas thatās just how it happen. But hopeful I help put some spotlight on an underappreciated character.
They would reenact the plot of Lord Of The Flies in a matter of weeks.

In the Danganronpa community the antagonists of each game remain fan favorites and Togami is no exception however the difference in how they are perceived is how much focus is put in their ideology. While people love Komaeda and Kokichi everyone focus on their ideology for example people will praise Komaeda for his belief in absolute hope regardless of the methods Ā which is a interesting ideology but with Togami people tend to boil him down to being a run of the will arrogant rich kid which I think is a shame because there is depth beneath the surface that gets under explored. Togami is my favorite antagonist in the series and my second favorite character in the series behind Ibuki so in this essay I hope to spread light on why I think heās a great character.
One reason I love Togami is because he is the only antagonist to get a proper character arc from the beginning of the game to the end of the game. Just because a character has an arc doesnāt make a character inherently better than characters without an arc but I think his was well handled. Some people think of it as an arrogant character learning some humility while still being arrogant but I think was more of a major change to his worldview than that but to understand his change of worldview we have to understand his worldview in the first place.
Togami as a person sees all people as inherently selfish and as much as they would like to think of themselves as selfless there just lying to themselves. As an example thereās this quote from chapter 2 "Did you already forget? This isn't a co-op game. It's every man for himself. What good does it do me to go out of my way to help you?ā. Though the gaming comparison seems a bit out of character in retrospect it does offer insight to his ideology. I think it serves as an interesting extreme to the distrust one would feel in a setting like Danganronpa. Speaking of parallels I think he serves as a great foil to Makoto. Makoto is optimistic and trusting to a point of naivete whereas Togamiās relentless cynicism makes it so he doesn't trust anyone. There is also a contrast to Makotoās humility and Togamiās arrogance. Putting aside Togamiās role as a foil, there is another important component to Togamiās personality: his desire to keep winning. This can be seen in this scene from chapter 2 "Shut up. I would never stoop to the level of a childish criminal like you. Let me just say this... After I have achieved complete victory...you're up next. I'm going to find you and kill you. Understand? In the name of the Togami family, for which victory is a foregone conclusion... I swear, whatever it takes...I will kill you!". What stands out here is the fact that he says that in the name of his family which means that due to him being a member of the Togami family he was raised to value victory so he wishes to win the killing game by any means necessary. Another interesting point is he does legitimately see the killing game as a game with the expectations of the masterminds and arguably Kokichi .Kokichi fans will say he hated the killing game but he definitely seemed to be having fun during the first three trails and to a lesser degree chapter 4 but thatās a can of worms for another day. With Togami itās far less ambiguous when he specifically states "But it *is* a game. It's a game of life or death, which can have only one winner. That's all there is to it.ā
You may be asking okay I understand his ideology but why does he think this way? Iām glad you asked because if you played his free time events you get a clearer picture. Iām going to transcribe most of his fifth free time event because it gives us the most information on his backstory. āIt has to do with the secret to the Togami family's prosperity. Our success comes from our family's rather...peculiar inheritance system. You see, our family head never takes a wife. Rather, he couples with exceptional women the world over, in order to bear as many children as possible. They then make the children compete, and only one can come out on top. And whoever it is...earns the right to become the next head of the family. For my battle, there were fifteen of us in total. When all was said and done, only one was still standingāthe youngest brother. Me. In the entire history of the Togami family, the youngest male had never won. So, now do you understand? I won my title in open combat. *That* is how l became the Ultimate Affluent Progeny. I was not born into greatness. I had to earn it. I put my life on the line, and I *earned* the right to be called the chosen.ā-Togami āYou put your life on the line...? Then...what about your siblings?ā-Makoto Dead. I don't mean that literally, of course. They become dead to the family, unfit for the name of Togami. Of course, for them it really is like death. They're forced to become one of the 99%.
That was a lot to take in so letās break down what all of that actually means and how it affected Togamiās character. First the section where he had to compete with fifteen of his siblings to gain the inheritance. His cutthroat desire to win stems from the fact that he needed to compete with such high stakes from a young age. With the inheritance system he was made to have a survival of the fittest mentality which explains in behavior in game. He described those who didnāt get to inherit the Togami name as dead which shows the absolute value he puts into winning. The fact that he won this competition also is responsible for his superiority complex because he managed to overcome Ā such adversity he sees himself as better than the 99% of people that live normal lives. Once you put it into perspective Togami was a product of his environment which really humanizes him but I donāt blame people for missing optional content.
Now letās move on to the turning point for his character chapter four. In the book Creating Character Arcs By K.M Weiland she explains that to create a positive change arc there is a misconception about the world or themselves that they believe and external forces change that idea so they must accept reality. In this case the lie Togami believes is that all people are inherently selfish and the reason he stopped believing that is because of the selfless actions of Sakura and Hina. Sakuraās sucide was because she wished to stop the in-fighting caused by her being revealed by the traitor along with the fact she wanted to save her dojo. Togami despite being intelligent couldnāt figure out that it was a sucide because of the way he views people. In a similar fashion he also couldnāt figure out that Hina wasn't the true killer because he couldnāt see why anyone would be willing to sacrifice their own life for the sake of a friend. These truly selfless acts made him change his worldview which can most clearly be seen with the quote ā"This is a life-or-death elimination match. The only way to survive...is to win. There can be no doubt that those are the rules of the game. Which is why...I am bowing out of the game. Sakura and Hina were both willing to sacrifice their own lives to deny the reality of the game. Thanks to them, it would appear the others have cast aside their fear for this game. There's no point in participating in a game which has lost that sense of excitement. Which is why I will no longer be participating in it. Now I have only one thing to look forward to. And that is to heap the harshest possible punishment onto the one who thinks they can control me!ā Although the way he phrased it was backhanded, this showed genuine faith in people and will no longer participate in the killing game which is major development for him. It also helps prove while does get him into trouble sometimes like that time he got framed by Sayaka that Makotoās belief in people is not misplaced.
In conclusion despite him often being dismissed as another arrogant antagonist Byakuya Togami is an interesting character with an interesting way of thinking that helps him serve as a foil to the protagonist ,an often overlooked backstory that humanizes him and give proper explanation for his actions along with a great character that the other Danganronpa antagonist lacked that he stands out as a stellar character in a game series with an already excellent cast. I hope this essay gave you a new found appreciation for the character.

I want people to start shipping Ryuji x Ann X Makoto becuase there ship name would be Queen Ann's Revenge. Queen is a reference to Makoto's code name Ann is just Ann's name and Queen Anne's Revenge is a reference to the name of Blackbeard's ship which fits in with Ryuji's Pirate motif. If you're not into there dynamic Queen Ann is also a great name for Makoto x Ann as it serves as a historical reference to Queen Anne.
Don't know anything about cooking however I do love me some good old fashioned spite.
When I was little my momās meatloaf was my favorite food. But ONLY her meatloaf. I didnāt like anyone elseās, and she told me that she would teach me how to make it when I was older. And when I was like 19? She finally taught me, but she told me never to tell anyone else and I was like weird but okay
Anyway, she was super fucking homophobic and abusive to me when I told her I was gay, so hereās the recipe
4-6 lbs of Hamburger/turkey burger
1 pk onion soup mix OR ranch mix
1 TBs ketchup
1 Tbs spicy brown mustard,
1 Tbs bbq sauce
1 Tbs steak sauce
1 egg
mix, shape into a loaf in a big pan, and bake at 350 for 2 hrs (maybe 2 and a half if youāre feeling dangerous)
You can get almost all of these ingredients at the dollar store, and have leftovers if itās just you. The leftovers make great tacos if (taco seasoning is also like a dollar). Enjoy your revenge loaf

My ideal date? You release me into the wild to hunt me for sport on your remote island BUT Iām not very good at hiding so you find me within 20 minutes. You hold the gun to my face but there is something so earnest in my eyes and hands that you cannot carry through. You pick me up and carry me back to your mansion. I am so polite and charming that you nurse me back to health. You grow to love and trust me despite the fact youāre holding me hostage after I fell of a charter vessel bound for Brazil. You buy me new clothes and have them shipped to the island. I kiss you good morning every day. You propose marriage. I accept. We skype in a priest and get married with the butler as our witness. That night I kill you and the butler. I redistribute your wealth. I live in the mansion on the abandoned island for the rest of my days. I study snail ecology. I never remarry. You were the love of my life but you were too dangerous and evil to live. I am buried next to you. The tides eventually wash our bodies away. Into the depths of the ocean, together.
If youāre a Danganronpa fan you probably have personal favorites whether it be characters, class trails or the topic of this essay favorite games. Despite all of the games having the same formula they still have a distinct identity from each other which is commendable but alas thatās not what we will discuss. In this essay I will explain why Danganronpa 2:Goodbye Despair is the best Danganronpa game.
Let me discuss the setting of the game Jabberwock Island. Immediately the tropical island serves as a stark contrast to the two schools of the trilogy. This isnāt just for show either while the schools are claustrophobic Jabberwock Island feels like an open space which makes the world Ā more fun to move around in. Speaking of contrast in Danganronpa 2 each island does a good job of feeling distinct from one and another. When you get more floors to the school in the other game you do find interesting things. I especially like V3ās Talent Development Labs compared to the islands of SDR2 itās no contest. The other games take place in a school and thus are limited to things that would logically be in a school were as youāre allowed much more freedom with the islands. From the bright and colorful amusement park of island four to the futuristic setting of island five there is no doubt that SDR2 has the most creative and diverse setting of any of the Danganronpa games.
Another thing that SDR2 executes well is feeling like a true expansion of the themes of DR1.Unlike V3 SDR2 plot is directly affected by the plot of DR1 without feeling like a rehash which can be difficult to pull off. I think the virtual world is an interesting concept that is executed quite well. Letās use Chiaki as an example: the twist of her being an AI is foreshadowed with her direct similarities with Chihiro and Alter Ego. While not being overly obvious if you take a look at their designs they do share a lot in common. There designs both include a white button up shirt, similar bowties, an overcoat, a skirt with black stockings, along with similar shoes and haircuts. Once you spell it all out the design parallels become pretty obvious but they also share similar personality traits Chihiro they both share a love of gaming even though Chihiro isnāt as explicit about it. They also have a very sweet and well meaning personality along with a certain Ā degree of intelligence which in Chiakiās case is very analytical in nature which reflects her nature as an AI. Thereās also some information in her free time events that foreshadows her nature as an AI which furthers her alter ego parallels. During one of her free time events she didnāt know that cows made milk which is basic human information and in a later free time event the only genre of games sheās bad at is dating sims which directly involves human connection as itās primary gameplay mechanic.
Thatās enough about Chiaki for now letās discuss another character that uses parallels to another character that uses character parallels to great effect Nagito Komeda. The Makoto parallels are pretty obvious but let's still go over them starting with his design and also the fact that Nagito Komeada is an anagram of Makoto Naegi. Both characters wear a hoodie, have a similar haircut including the patented anime protagonist ahoge and his generally unremarkable design makes the Makoto comparisons clear. Were the parallel really shine however is in personality. During the early game the Makoto parallels are effective are used to create a false sense of security. During the early game he spends a lot of time helping you out and general doesn't come off as a bad person even if he does come across as a bit odd. This makes him an effective wolf in sheep's clothing. Even after revealing his true nature the Makoto parallels only grow stronger. Letās take a look at both of their talents and how they operate in the narrative. Despite having the same title of The Ultimate Lucky Student there talents operate very differently. Makotoās luck while powerful in itās own way primary is used to keep him alive with conscience that make sense due to his talent. On the flip side Komeadaās luck is truly supernatural and he relise on it for his plans to work like when he used the random raffle to get himself on cleaning duty. Even though his luck is powerful it does come at a price. During his free time events he is revealed to have a cycle of luck where bad luck is preceded by good luck and vice versa As an example Komeda has said that he was kidnapped and then immediately found a lottery ticket that was worth ten million dollars Komedaās luck serves as a powerful force of nature that is even beyond his control which is a real interesting subversion of Makotoās luck. Another parallel is Makotoās humility versus Komeadaās self deprecation. They both stem from the fact that they donāt see themselves as having worthwhile talents. Makoto sees himself as mundane compared to the exceptional people at Hopeās Peak Academy but he learns to overcome that insecurity and recognize his own value. Komeada on the hand sees himself as inherently worthless because of his lackluster talent and is willing to sacrifice his own life for the sake of the other ultimates Despite him seeing himself as worthless that couldnāt be further from the truth in fact heās one of the most intelligent characters in the series but he refuses to acknowledge himself because of the way he see himself as worthless. Another thing the two characters have in common is the desire for hope but there methods are very different. Komeada like the founders of Hope's Peak sees ultimates as the embodiments of hope and he wishes to sacrifice himself for them and is willing to become the adversity they overcome and is willing to kill just so that he can become an obstacle that hope overthrows. Makoto is comparatively simpler in this regard and only becomes a symbol of hope because of his undying optimism and becomes known as the Ultimate Hope because of the adversity he faced and his ability to inspire Komeda also tried to become the Ultimate Hope by killing all remnants of despair including himself.Ā This is a somewhat sound motivation however it ignores to hope of recovery and the ability to create their future. Speaking of hope for the future, let's talk about SDR2ās ending because it does a good job of thematically tying into Trigger Happy Havoc. Itās revealed that the world is a virtual world created by a The Future Foundation which was created by the survivors of DR1. The purpose of this world was to reform the sixteen students from the game which were revealed to be remnants of despair. This explains the nature of Monomi and the seeming peaceful beginning of the game however this turns into a killing game because of AI Junko. Letās address the most common complaint about this finale which is that Junko was overused and this game should have had a new mastermind which is a fair complaint however if you consider the fact that SDR2 was created as a direct continuation of DR1 it works thematically for Junko to be the mastermind and it was a satisfying conclusion to finally kill Junko excluding the anime because the anime doesn't deserve rights. The Future Foundation also helps continue the story of DR1 due to the fact that we get to see these characters again in a way that furthers the plot. The new finales useās characters from the previous game however it adds a different theme that feels natural with the theme of being able to change the future regardless of the past. This isnāt something that the survivors of the first game had to deal with because of the SDR2 survivors' unique situation of being remnants of despair. This while different is still a fundamentally optimistic theme so it feels thematically consistent with the themes of hope and despair from the first game
As I hope Iāve made clear that due to the thematic parallels of DR1,SDR2 is a true sequel that expands on the thematic elements of the first and becomes something greater than its predecessors.
