Miracle Life: an AU of an AU

This AU starts 5 years after Bill won and Ford became his husband. By this point, Ford has stopped fighting back against Bill and even started to believe that he does love him. However, Bill still feels the need to reinforce his hold on Ford and decides that it’s time for them to have kids. After all, every couple wants to start a family, right? And they have a reputation as the perfect couple™️ to uphold (if you try to insinuate otherwise, he will rearrange your organs)

Ford is not happy about this, but can’t look too deeply into why the idea of having children with Bill sounds like a terrible idea. But in the end, he doesn’t get that choice, and Bill knocks him up. (Now to be fair, it wasn’t Bill’s intent to have triplets, though he knew that the possibility of having multiple was high. They were supposed to be twins but Penelope and Page ‘split’ in the womb. He surprisingly did not have that much input into how the kids would end up looking)

About them: Pen & Page are spoiled princesses — literally, since their dad is the emperor of 13’\ but that doesn’t mean that their life is perfect, and Bill often make them fight for his attention. They struggle with empathy, having grown up being put on a pedestal, away from others and in an environment where kindness for others was often discouraged.

Mark is Bill’s least favourite child, and Ford’s favourite. And while Ford doesn’t mention his preference, Mark is very aware of Bill’s feelings for him. Despite growing up in the same way as his sister, he actually feels very deeply for others and wishes he could learn more about them.

Ford has very little control over his kids, despite being the one who spends the most amount of time with them. But having been raised on ciphertology material, they admire and try to emulate Bill, who often tells them that they don’t have to listen to anyone but him, and of course, they are simply copying the way he acts with Ford.

Finally, FINALLY since its mermay I decided to do it.

I ended up liking it so much that I started thinking of lore and it all spiraled into an AU.

So I present to you:

Submersion Falls

Ford comes to gravity falls for the same reasons as he did in canon except that on top of all his other interest, he also has a degree in marine/aquatic biology. Long story short, he somehow breaks one of the seals that kept Serpas (Bill) imprisoned. He was put there like 500 years ago by the Shaman after being a destructive force of nature in the ocean for Eons. They convinces Ford to break the seal on them so that their full power can come back and they can go back to the sea.

Despite having 500 years to contemplate, Bill doesn't actually know how to break the seal, because the Shaman put a curse on it that makes them unable to see it and only a human can break it. But also it's at the bottom of the lake, which is really, unnaturally deep. So Ford needs to build a special submarine. HOWEVER. There is also a time limit because the seal can only be broken on a special event that happens every 500 years, the same night where the Shaman first sealed them. So after a few months, Ford realizes that he'll never be able to make it in time and calls Fiddleford.

And that’s how the story starts :)
