Do you think Valentino & Vox have an unspoken understanding about their unhinged fixations on Angel and Alastor, respectively? Like the two of them appear to have SOME kind of relationship together (perhaps with Velvette, perhaps not), but they always appear to look the other way when one of them is losing their shit over the random dude they’re obsessed with.

Just wanted to compare Midoriya and AFO in panels (DFO stuff) from different fights. Again, small things I thought were at least worth noticing

Midoriya's panels come from when Dabi told the world about Endeavor and their family situation, as they were fighting. This was back when Shigaraki was broken from his tube prematurely.

AFO's is when Bakugo aborted him.

First, the insistence of moving forward, even if their limbs are weak or won't work as well as before.

Then the fact they both came up with using a Quirk like this (below), from desperation. Who cares if their bodies won't work? They have Quirks they can fall back on.

And are both thwarted by someone who has a combustion Quirk (flames VS explosions), in a fight that boils down to family and brother problems for the Villain.

And something different from these two events, I'm gonna move to when Bakugo fought Midoriya past curfew, and when All Might faced AFO in Kamino,

When both want to win, they start spewing insults. AFO insults people to get an opening and win. Midoriya does it when he wants to win more than save.

Midoriya knows it's gross to say he thinks like that, but Bakugo is his image of victory. Meanwhile, All Might is an image of victory to Japan; and AFO gains an edge when he can rile up that symbol of victory (peace).

Or maybe AFO just riles up OFA users in general. From All Might, to calling Midoriya useless in front of Nana and Yoichi..

Either way, AFO likes to talk shit, and it trips up people. And he does this so he can win. He does it logically, but it also happens when he gets riled up, like when he ate Tenko (418) (get your head out of the gutter).

Midoriya spews insults naturally when he wants to win, when he wants to win more than he wants to save.

They think alike, is all. Both thought of using their Quirks through their mouth when their bodies weren't enough (innovation with Quirks that aren't originally theirs), and when they want to win, they insult their opponent.

i think it is very depressing that like every aesthetic people try to emulate are of people doing things but they themselves are incapable of being somebody that does things… the mall goth 2005 aesthetic revived in 2022 but nobody goes to the mall to be annoying and weird and nobody lets themselves be cringe… the cottagecore aesthetic but nobody knows how to raise gardens or live self sufficiently … the dark academia aesthetic but nobody actually reads books…. The double standard in the fandom with blaming all sorts of shit on All Might and praising Aizawa for being the «best teacher ever» never falls to astound me.

How is being super apathetic, using manipulation tactics and lies on students, and being generally very uninterested in them so much better than All Might?

He doesn’t want the kids in the war any more than Aizawa does, and still all I see is «Aizawa never wanted the kids to fight and now he’d watching them die waaah» and «All Might really sent these kids to war huh???» from the same people like what

All Might spends a lot of time on Izuku ofc, but how is that different than what Aizawa does for Shinsou?

All Might is great at cheering on all the kids. He took the time to really see and understand Bakugo.

He tries to be there for Shouto with the family issues.

Your little fanon version of secretly supersoft Aizawa isn’t real, and neither is All Might the Terrible.

They’re both flawed characters who’s doing their best, but one of them is a stereotypical hot tired man, so nobody bats an eye at him.

also, don’t get me fucking started on the fact that Aizawa never seemed to notice anything is off about Shouto.

People always includes it in fics, but he never ever mentions it.

As a teacher, it should be pretty obvious that something was wrong, and even if he obviously couldn’t take Shouto out of Endevours house, he could have done SOMETHING.

Talked to him. Anything.

And I know he is traumatized. I get it. But so is All Might. And Present Mic. And Midnight.

Everyone handles trauma differently, but if your refusal to deal with it affects your ability to be compassionate and ignore your own prejudice (like how he treated Izuku vs Shinsou based on his own experience when he had no idea how hard Izuku worked or what he had been trough) maybe you should’t be a teacher.

Again, the fact that he didn’t react to how Izuku clearly had very little control over his quirk and how he kept hurting himself???

I just think he is a very flawed character, and not half as great a teacher as the fandom wants him to be.
