Hubert de Givenchy, one of the greatest couturiers of our time, has passed away at the age of 91. It saddens me to have to make this post. Hubert de Givenchy was synonymous with elegance, sophistication, and timelessness. Not only did he leave a lasting impression on the fashion industry but on my own life as well. His collaborations with Audrey on screen sparked my imagination as a child. Growing up, my mother and I would gather on our couch with a tea tray and a stack of books. There were several books that I would request we looked through every time, one of them being “The Givenchy Style”. Granted our copy is covered in tea stains, but it only proves how much we love that book. He was a master of his craft and his talent will continue to inspire and motivate many generations to come. Thank you, Hubert. Your genius will be remembered always and you will be dearly missed.
