do you ever think about this quote by mary lambert because i think about it all the time
Hi everyone ...
I am Maram Al-Nabulsi, I currently live in the completely destroyed đđcity of Gaza, specifically Khan Younis. Since the war on Gaza began on 10/7/2023, my family - my father Muhammad, my mother Hiba and my siblings Nour, Maram, Mahmoud - have been living in constant fear, crying and suffering because of shrapnel, shells and bullets. We have no foodđ„đŻ, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schoolsđąđ, no homesđ, no cleaning supplies, no clothesđ§Łđ§„đ§€. Our house was completely destroyed. My school was bombed, and my sister Nour's university was turned into rubble, which deprived us all of education. The war forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents that are not suitable for living, especially in winter. Every day we live death, terror and panic a thousand times because of the continuous bombing of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble. Imagine: We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times, and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. If we stay in Gaza, we may lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza to a safe place. However, the travel costs are very high. We need more than 70 thousand dollars to leave Gaza. Due to the exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, insecurity, the ongoing blockade, and the continuous bombing, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurityđđ, with the constant bombing and shrapnel flying above us? My dear compassionate friends around the world, with your generous donations, even if small, you can save 5 people from imminent death, allowing us to start a life outside Gaza full of love, peace, and hope. Best regards from Gaza City....đđ”đž

A ceasefire has been reached and the Rafah crossing will reopen to evacuate the wounded. Help me evacuate my family from this city that is no longer fit for living after losing my home. I want to leave. Please donate and share.
My mom's brother needs to go out for a kidney transplant. His condition is getting worse.
Let's achieve the goal of evacuating my family, there is not much left.

Bro this is so good itâs not even a joke, the characterization of the reader and the whole art love thing Miles dedicated to her đ«đ« I read through this wayyy to fast
IN WHICH the last time you saw Miles Morales you were eighteen and scared. You were no longer eighteen and neither was he but the damage he could still do enticed you.
CONTENT: Aged up Miles Morales (they are in their early twenties), cheating, toxicity (itâs hot on paper not in real life), suggestive content, Rio is low key an instigator/enabler (she just wants you to be her daughter in law! Is that so bad? đ€), slightly obsessive nature, both Miles and Reader are geniuses (your author is not, sheâs an English major with bad grammar), Aaron is the captain of the ship đ«Ą.
A/N:Part three! We go kinda sort of feral towards the end. I found it funny that we do the opposite in regard to what we did in part two lol.
PARTS: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
YOU CAME DOWN FROM YOUR HIGH FOR THE SECOND TIME THAT NIGHT WITH BROKEN WHINE. Miles was panting against your slick skin, head cushioned on your bare chest as you clung to him desperately. Your legs locked around his waist, fingers toying with the stands of hair at the nape of his neck, his fingers drew slow soft circles on you hips as you twitched.
You blinked slowly, lazily, your brain felt foggy as you tried to focus on the space around you. It was hard with his body flush against yours and the bass of the music rattling through the walls, muffled but you could still feel it your bones.
Despite only taking having one drink you felt drunkânoânot drunk, high. Your fingers brushed against his neck and he released a muffled sigh, nipping at your collar bones and you squealed giggling slightly, âHavenât you had enough of me, papi?â
âNot enough,â he whispered kissing up your neck and you sighed as his lips slotted over yours once again. âNever enough,â he whispered against your lips and you hummed kissing him again, wrapping his arms around his neck, quite ready to loose yourself in him again before the sound of vibrating hit your eardrums. You pulled away with furrowed brows and Miles released a sound of protest, chasing your lips for more dizzying kisses that you were happy to give when the vibrating stopped, only to start back up again.
You pulled away again, pressing your hands against his bare, scarred chest to keep him from coming back for more, you parted from him with a shiver looking around the floor as you slipped off the counter on shaking legs. Miles made a low amused sound and you shot him an annoyed look.
You pointedly ignored the mess you made on the counter as you realized the vibrating was coming from you phone, you phone that was in your bag, a bag that miles threw. Why did he throw it?
The haze in your mind was fading as you picked up his shirt and tossed it at him, feeling a warm trickle down your leg. How embarrassing.
You found your bag wedged between the toilet and the shower wall, the vibrating stopped as you dug for you phone. Miles handed you a warm damp towel from where they sat clean and folded on a shelf by the door.
Seven missed calls from âWho?â.
You blinked confused, âWho?â You sat on the toilet and placed your phone aside as you wiped the mess between your thighs. Miles chuckled and you blinked turning to him as he slipped his shirt over his head, finding your bra by his feet .
âWho?â
You reached for your bra, snatching it from him with a huff and you clipped it on, slipping your arms into the arms of your dress.
Your phone vibrated.
âWhere are you?!
I need help!
Babe!â
You blinked at the message feeling an ice cold shiver down your spine.
Brandon.
Brandon your boyfriend.
Brandon your boyfriend who you had just cucked.
âOh no, oh no!â You stood tossing the towel into the shower, looking around for your panties and instead of underwear you found scraps. âMiles! These were expensive!â You threw the damaged lace at him with a frustrated grunt and you watched him pocket them.
What have you done?
What have you done?
Oh no.
Oh no.
You breath rattled in your ribcage.
âOh no, oh no!â Your voice shook as it started to sink in. Oh no. Tightness built up in your throat as you your chest started to heave in panic.
What did you do? What did you do?
âMiles what did we just do?â You press a hand to your head looking at him with wide eyes.
He look far from effected, far from bothered, far from panicked, he looked satisfied, content. âWhat we needed to, Mami.â
âNo.â
âYes, mami,â he stepped into your space, hands cupping your cheeks. âItâs okay.â
âThis not okay, Milesâ! Miles, I have a boyfriend-oh my god!â
âA boyfriend that you donât want, that you donât love.â
âYou donât know thatâ.â
âIf you loved him you wouldnât be here with me,â he pointed out, pressing his forehead against yours. âJust let it happen we can figure this out later,â he whispered pressing his lips against yours in a way that had your knees buckling.
You pulled away with a shake of your head, âWe canât, we canât figure this outâMiles.â
âWe can, I know we can you just need to let him go,â he argued, âwhy are you still holding on to him when itâs me you that you want?â
You closed your eyes.
âLook at me, mami.â
You looked at him, âWe can work this out, I know that shit hit the fan before, but Iâve changed, okay, I havenât done shit like that since, I promise,â he whispered. âJust give me a chance.â
You pursed you lips.
âWhy are you still clinging to him?â
âBecause heâs easy,â you admitted, âheâs easy.â
Miles closed his eyes and shook his head, âYou donât like easy.â
âYouâre right,â you whispered hands finding his wrists, âI donât like easy but for as long as I have been with him I havenât woken in up in the middle of the night terrified about his well-beingâ.â
âThatâs not fair,â he turned away from you but your gripped his chin pulling him back towards you.
âI havenât found him laid half dead on my fire escape, so yes I donât like easy, but at least I donât have to live in constant fear that I could wake up tomorrow without him.â
âI donât do that shit anymore, mami, I promise.â
âYou promised me that once before, Miles,â your voice shook, âand I had to drag you half dead to the hospital, I canât do that again.â
âAnd you donât have to,â he promised, hands finding your hips. âI promise. I swear. I will never put you through that again, justâletâs get out of here, ya? para que podamos hablar a solas.â
You opened your mouth to respond when your phone rang again. Brandon.
âDonât pick up.â
You swiped to answer pressing your phone to your ear as Miles pulled away from with a frustrated groan, pressing the heel of his hand against the bridge of his nose.
âFinally!â Brandon snapped down the phone. âIâve been calling everyone for over an hour! No one has been picking upâ.â
âI left my phone with you, remember? In my purse,I couldnât find you and found it on the floor just now,â you lied feeling a guilt that made you nauseated.
âForget about that, I have been locked in the basement for an hour, let me out so we can leave.â
âYou,â you couldnât quite keep the giggle from escaping, âYouâre locked in the basement?â
âItâs not fucking funny!â
You pressed a hand to your mouth and looked to miles who had a look far too innocent on his face. The situation was almost comical, here you were fucking your ex while your boyfriend had been locked in the basement.
âYouâre right this isnât funny, itâs kinda fucked up.â
Kinda? You mean really fucked.
Really screwed.
âJust give me a minute.â
You hung up.
âPlease tell me you didnât lock him the basement.â
âI didnât lock him in the basement,â he shrugged, âI paid someone to do it.â
âMiles!â You smacked him in the shoulder. âThis is already bad enough!â
âItâs not bad at all.â
You sighed, âYou know what, letâs have this conversation later.â
âAre you seriously leaving me to go find him.â
âNo, Iâm leaving to go home, and on my way Iâll let him out of the basement.â
âMami!â
âJust let me think about this, okay?!â You snapped, âI wonât go home with him, I just need a moment to myself, can you give me that please?â
Miles did not look happy but he nodded, âCome here first,â you sighed picking up your discarded knife as youâd do. He leaned down a kissed you hard and slow, you stumbled slightly.
âJust some incentive, mami.â
You huffed at him and left him behind, moving quickly through the house.
~~~~
You didnât let the true reality of the situation hit you until the door to your apartment slammed shut behind you. You embarrassingly collapsed in a heap on your apartment floor and began to cry into your knees feeling absolutely terrible. You were the worst person in the world for what you just did.
Brandon didnât deserve that.
He really didnât.
You truly were a terrible person.
You cried until your alarm went off. You felt numb numb as you showered and scrubbed yourself clean of your adulterous activities. You left your phone at home on the charger so you wouldnât have to look at it for your eight hour shift.
You looked so miserable no one approached you.
You stopped by the liquor store on your way home, eager to wallow in your self pity. Only you couldnât do that because when you opened your door you shrieked at the sight of Amelia waiting patiently on your couch.
âHello, my love.â
âJesus fucking Christ!â You pressed a hand to your chest. âI just shat myself!â
She held up your phone with her brows raised, âIâve tried to calm you all night yesterday, all day today and in my panic thinking you were dead I climbed up your goddamn fire escape to find this bad boy sitting on your bed. Care to explain?â
âI-I forgot it?â
âLiar!â
You screamed again when Mei appeared from the left, holding a bowl of popcorn.
âYou never forget your phone,â She pointed at you scoldingly and you had half the mind to back peddle and run away.
âNo! Get your ass in here!â Amelia snipped and you squeaked at her tone. Shutting the door behind you, you shuffled awkwardly in place.
âI have questions.â
âDo I have to answer them?â
âDo you want me to kick your ass?â
You kicked off your shoes and sighed.
âListen, babe,â Amelia started, âI donât go around invading peopleâs privacy, you know this, but when my oldest daughter figure, disappears from a party we went to together, dodges all my calls and texts for twelve hours I got worried and the mama bear in me knew something was up,â she waved her hands about as Mei sat beside her on the couch, âSo in my mama bear rage I picked your phone and realized you gotta text from, âMy Manâ not just a text but a few calls and a voice mail, now I would have left it at that if it werenât for the fact that it wasnât Brandon texting you but somone who knows Spanish. Brandon doesnât know Spanish.â
Oh god.
âThen there was a call from âWhoâ I recognized the number, now thatâs Brandon. So now Iâm confused. Is there something I need to know oh child of mine?â
You looked at her for a long moment, guilt eating at your insides.
Ameliaâs expression dropped as your face crumpled in dread.
âOh babe, whatâs wrong?â
You burst into tears, âIâm a terrible person!â
âNo,â Amelia stood from the couch and pulled you into a hug. âYouâre not a bad person.â
âAmy, I did something really bad.â
Amelia and Mei started at you each holding glasses of wine while you laid in a ball on the floor in front of your T.V a glass of wine sitting by your head.
âThis isâŠlike really bad,â Mei whispered before she suddenly laughed. âOh my god! I-I should feel bad for him, I should, but Iâoh my god! I didnât think you had it in you!â
âNot gonna lie, I thought you would save it for the inevitable loveless marriage but youâre like a decade too early,â Amelia whispered blinking blankly at you, her lips trembled and she ducked her head, a loud snort escaping her as Mei out right cackled.
âThis is not funny!â You sat up with a cry, âWhat am I supposed to do?!â
âWell obviously break up with him, what else is there to do?â
âItâs not that simple.â
âIt is that simple,â Mei said, âTomorrow after school, break up with him to save the both you from the inevitable blow up.â
âItâs not gonna blow up!â
âFranny is already gossiping about when she tried to go to the bathroom she could hear people boning.â
You dropped your head into your hands with a loud sigh.
âYou know, you were the last person I ever thought could cheat, at least not now. You had plenty of chances, boys throw themselves at you all the time and this guy from your past shows up and youâre all overâ,â Amelia cut herself off with a gasp. âMiles is your ex isnât he?!â
âThat makes so much more sense,â Mei whispered, shoving a handful of popcorn into her mouth. âThis is like a soap opera, my ÄmÄ would be eating this shit up.â
âNow I need to know everything, spill.â
You laid down again with put out sigh. âRemember that conversation we had at the beginning of term?â
âMhmm.â
âWhat conversation?â Mei asked.
âWe talked about her fear of commitment and her avoidance of the L-word,â Amelia waver her off.
âMe and Miles had been together for four years before I called it quits.â
âWhy?â Amelia took some popcorn, âThatâs a long time.â
âWe didnât grow upâŠsafe, or really secure, we struggled for most of our lives so we sometimes had to do things weâre not proud of to get us by you know?â You whispered tracing the scars on you palm with your thumb staring wearily ahead of you. âThings started looking up when we got into college , full rides into our dream school, we could start dreaming about things other than surviving. So we stopped all that, or I thought we did,â you frowned, âhe promised me that he was going to stop what he was doing, that I didnât have to worry about it.â
You hated how your voice shook as your mind cast back.
âBut every so often I would find bruises on his skin, new cuts I couldnât push to the back of my mind and I kept trying to get him to tell me about them but he would get defensive and we would argue and yell and sometimes it would get so bad that I couldnât talk to him for days, all he said was âfor us ma, for usâ, â you whispered. âThen one night I had fallen asleep waiting for him to come home and I woke up to sound of him stumbling around, when I got to the living to he was laid out on the floor wheezing, there this hole the size of my fist in his abdomen and Iâ,â you sucked in a shuddering breath hot tears blurring your vision. âI couldnât fix it, I could fix his cuts, kiss the pain away but I couldnâtâI couldnât fix this.â
You woke to the sound of crashing, your head lifted sharply from your pillow, hand slipping under to grip the knife you slept with. You looked to right if you nothing that Miles hadnât returned, his side of the bed cold. You checked the time: 3:07 am.
The was a grunt and the tell tale sound of a body dropping to the floor. You scrambled from the bed, opening the door. For a moment there was silence, then came wheezing breaths. You hand tightened on the handle of your knife as your turned the corner only to slip on something was and slick.
You looked down and even in the dark you didnât have to check to know it was blood. The smell was all to familiar. âMiles?â
ââŠMa?â
Your body shook as you came across a lump on the living room carpet, laid out on their back, desperate breaths rattling their body. âMiles?!â
The knife in you hand clattered to the floor as your hand scrambled for the light switch and you screamed at the sight of him. âNo! Nonono,â you surged forward hands hovering over the gushing wound in his stomach. âMiles!â You grabbed the throw blanket from the couch and pressed it to the bleeding wound. He released a strangled cry, his face clammy eyes barely open. âI-I need toâneed to get you to the hospitalâ!â
ââŠnoâŠno hospitalâŠâ
An ambulance was out of the question, you couldnât afford a five thousand dollar ride.
âMiles, I canât fix this, I-I canât fix this, I need,â you sobbed using one hand to apply pressure as the other scrambled to undo his Prowler armour, âI need you to help me get you to the hospitalâMiles, whyâ?â You could barely form a sentence.
âFor us,â he whispered. âFor us, ma.â
âYou promisedâyou promised,â you blubbered desperately trying to get him to his feet. âYou promised me!â
â âFor us..maâŠâ, he just kept mumbling that as I dragged him half dead to the hospital,â you shook slightly. âHe was putting his life on the line for us and I couldnât, I couldnât stand to see him like that again, not for me so IâI took myself out of equation, I c-couldnât stand to see someone I love in that position again because of me, so while he was recovering I filed for a transfer and I left,â you blinked at them, âI couldnât see him like that.â
âAnd you never stopped loving him.â
âI tried ,â you sniffled sitting up, âI really did , I-I wanted to love Brandon, I really wanted to. He was safe and he was easy and Iâ.â
âYou just couldnât,â Amelia finished, âbecause love doesnât work like that, oh baby,â she crawled towards you and pulled you into a hug as you sobbed into her shoulder. âThis is just messy all around isnât it?â
Mei joined you on the floor patting your head, âIâve never seen you this pathetic itâs both refreshing and terrifying.â
~~~~
Miles didnât show up to school on Monday and it worried you, but you refused to call him. You had something else to deal with today than to deal with him. You would focus on him later.
Today you had to focus on Brandon.
You ate lunch in your classroom instead of with your friends, you avoided Frannyâs curious eyes and Tylerâs chaotic grin. Tyler had always had a sixth sense when it came to impending chaos. He relished in it.
He was just waiting for something to implode.
Brandon was waiting for you by your car like he did every Monday and Wednesday looking completely innocent. For a moment you felt sick to your stomach.
You had to do it. You had to.
You breathed in deeply.
Tell him the truth.
Itâs not that hard.
âHey, babe,â he brightened when he saw you and you flinched.
âHey.â
He went in for a kiss but you angled your head just slightly so his lips met your cheek instead. âLetâs go, yeah?â
He frowned slightly but slipped into your car.
You drove in silence for a long moment, he reached for the radio but you stopped him with a soft hand. âI need to talk to you about something,â you whispered finally.
âAbout what?â He tried to sound confident but you winced at the weariness in his tone.
âOur relationship,â you whispered and you pursed your lips at the sound of his sharp breath.
âWhat about it?â
âBrandon, I canâtâ.â
âDonât,â he shook his head. âDonât say itâ.â
âBrandonâ.â
âI love you.â
Your hands tightened on the wheel as you sucked in a sharp steadying breath.
âI love you, okay.â
âBrandon.â
âYou canât just dump meâ!â
âBrandon please let me speak!â
âNoâ!â
âI donât love you!â You blurted, chest heaving and he went quiet, âI-I tried okay,â you whispered eyes fixed on the road. âIâI tried to love you but I couldnât and I canât pretend that I can see a future with you because I canât. I tried, I really, really tried and I am so fucking sorry, Brandon I really am!â
ââŠI donât believe you.â
âBrandonâ.â
âTwo years I have poured everything I could into this relationship, two fĂ»cking years. If you didnât love me you wouldnât have stayed this long I donât believe you.â
âYou have to believe me!â
âGive me a reason why I should.â
âI cheated on you!â
He gasped so suddenly it rattled through your head.
That was harsh.
That was so harsh.
You kept driving, coming across the last turn to his apartment building. He was so quiet as you came to a stop in front of his building. âW-when?â
You pursed your lips.
âWhen?!â
You flinched as he raised his voice.
âSat-Saturday night, at the party.â
âSo,â he started, âwhile I was locked in a basement you were busy fĂ»cking some other guy?!â
You nodded.
âIt was Morales wasnât it?â
You sighed, eyes fluttering. âIâm so sorry, Brandon. IâI really am,â you looked at him through your peripheral. He looked at you in such anger and betrayal, his lips curling in disgust.
âI donât even recognize you anymore,â he whispered, âHe came around and you just changed, your hair, you clothes the way you behaved and now thisâI canât even.â
âIâm so sorry.â
âFĂ»ck you.â
You sighed, âYeah, I expected that,â he threw open your door and slammed it violently shut behind him and you winced.
You ducked your head and sucked in a shaking breath and laughed, well it wasnât really a laugh more so a desperate shout between a cackle and sob. Look at the damage you just caused.
There was a relief on your bones as you pulled away from the building.
You did it.
You reached for the radio.
âNeedless to say I keep it in check, she was a bad-bad nevertheless!â
~~~~
You laid your head on Ameliaâs lap as you watched reruns of golden girls with Mei curled up behind you on her phone.
âHow bad was it?â
âHe yelled at me, cussed at me as much as Brandon can cuss and that was that.â
âI expected him to put up more of a fight if Iâm honest,â Mei muttered.
âHe tried. Until I told him I fucked Miles.â
âHeard anything from him?â
âOther than the formal email he sent me today, excusing himself for the entire week, no.â
âYou donât seem bothered.â
âItâs Miles Morales, heâs waiting for the implosion before making his appearance,â you hummed stretching out your toes. âDo you want to come with me to an art show on Friday?â
âSure.â
âSounds cool.â
Mei sat up with a sudden gasp, âYo! He moves fast!â
You frowned, âWhat?â You took his phone, to see Brandon had taken a photo out with his guy friends for drinks, with passive aggressive caption about unfaithful women.
Franny was there all over him.
âGood for him,â you laid back down. âOne last thing I have to worry about.â
That was lie.
~~~~
Friday came quickly and you found yourself staring in awe at the street art on display. With Amelia, Mei and Tyler trailing after you. Your friend group was in shambles, your more casual friends shot you looks of disgust as you walked passed them in the halls. Franny had outright called you a whore on Twitter, everytime you walked by Brandonâs roommates they would scoff and giggle about something under their breaths.
Tyler didnât care about your relationship with Brandon simply because he liked you more and you were most likely to help get a passing grade and he muttered something about POC solidarity.
It could be worse.
âKid!â
You looked up at the sound of Aaronâs voice, you beamed as you saw him come over, welcoming you with a tight hug. âYou made it.â
âOf course I did,â you smiled, âThis is amazing Aaron, liking really amazing,â you squeezed his hand, âLet me introduce you to my friends,âyou motioned to the group behind you.
âQuerida! You made it!â Rio made her appearance, bubbly and bright kissing you on both your cheeks happily meeting your friends. âI canât wait for you to see the main piece, youâre gonna love it, Miles has been working on it for months.â
âMiles?â
âYeah, heâs lurking around here somewhere, itâs why he missed out on school he was helping Aaron with some last minute things, hopefully he didnât leave you hanging.â
You frowned shaking your head, âNo.â
âCome, come,â she held your hand and dragged you through the crowd to the centre of the room where everyone was waiting for the unveiling of the centrepiece. It was huge, the biggest piece in the entire place.
You looked around trying to spot Miles in the crowd only to come up empty handed.
âIf I can have yâallâs attention,â Aaron called out stepping in front of the veiled art piece, the room went quite. âI have been really excited about showing off some of these works of art that I have come across, Iâve always had this soft spot for street art, it ties me back ton my roots, you know. Growing up in a bigs city like Brooklyn, it was hard to find your place in the crowd, so finding little corners to tag with a piece of you became a need. I used to ride around the city with my brother finding blank canvases in brick walls and cracked side walks and when we grew up I taught my nephew how to do the same thing. To find a blank canvas in the world around you and paint it with a piece of you, with love. This centre piece is very important to me because not only is it the work of my nephew, but itâs a work depicting what can only be described as love personified.â Aaron reached for the white sheet, âWithout further ado allow me to introduce âLove in her many formsâ by Miles Morales.â
The sheet came down and you stopped breathing as the crowd around you gasped. Behind you Mei nudged your shoulder. âYo! Thatâs you!â
Rio squeezed your hand and you sucked in a gasping breath as the crowd clapped in awe.
It was you.
All of you.
Every expression every laugh, every yell, little images of you painted onto individual bricks that pressed together to make a larger image of you reaching out for the crowd a sunflower in hand.
He did that.
Miles did.
And you were in awe.
âHe made it for you,â Rio whispered, âHe started it sometime last year, I didnât understand why at first, but it turned out beautiful donât you think?â
You felt your lips tremble, eyes flicking towards the stare you felt digging into your skin, be was there across the room, watching you anxiously, you could see it in his eyes.
âI-Itâs beautiful,â you choked out thickly. âUm,â you blinked away tears, âSorry I just need a minute toâ,â you couldnât finish your sentence as you slipped away from the group making a quick B-line for the exit. The fall air hit your skin and you gasped turning the corner.
âMami, wait!â
Miles chased after you and you came to a stop, whiling the tears from your eyes. âItâsâitâs really beautiful,â you whispered giving him a small smile.
âYouâre beautiful,â he corrected and you couldnât quite keep the sob from escaping. âListen, I know Iâve made you promises that I didnât keep and I am sorry, but I promise, Iâve changed okay? I wonât do that to you again, never again. I promise.â
âWhy should I believe you?â
âBecause I love you,â he said simply,and your heart thundered,âI have loved you forever and I know deep in my bones that it gonna be you and me forever, every life time. Let me prove that to you.â
âMiles-.â
âJust a chance thatâs allâ,â you surged forward wrapping your arms around his neck, yanking him down for a kiss. He melted into you immediately, hands on your hips. You cupped his jaw and pulled away, rubbing your thumbs along his cheekbones.
âSwear it,â you whispered.
âI swear, never again,â he returned and you kissed him again.
âI love you,â you whispered, âalways have,â and the grin he sent you lit up his entire face, you wanted it engrained in your memory forever. He wipped the tears on your cheeks away with calloused thumbs and you beamed up at him.
Click!
There was a flash of light and the sound of a camera shutter. You both turned to look and found Aaron standing there with his camera, Rio peaking over his shoulder eagerly. âDid you get it?â
âI got it, didnât know mans could smile like that,â he chuckled angling the camera for the woman to see.
âOh itâs perfect!â
âDonât mind us,â Aaron waved you two off, âFor the album. See ya Monday, or when ever, have the night to yourselvesâuse protectionâ.â
âUncle!â
âAaron!â
âBye!â
You shook your head as they both rushed into the establishment, leaving you and Miles standing outside. You shivered at the cold and he shed his jacket, laying it on your shoulders. âIâm hungry,â you hummed and you gripped his hand dragging him down the way behind you.
âThen letâs get you fed,â he pressed his lips to your temple and you smiled. âTengo una pregunta,â he started, âwhat about that Blathers looking bastard?â
You chuckled, âI broke up with him on Monday.â
He stopped, âAnd you didnât call me?â
âNope,â you shrugged, âI needed space, and I took your absence in stride.â
He clicked his tongue, pulling you into his side, âWhat do you want to eat?â He changed the subject.
âI want a burger,â you nodded, âLike a good cheese burger, I havenât had one in ages.â
âAnything you want, mami.â

You and Miles spent the entire weekend gettingâŠreacquainted with one another if you will. A bit too eagerly if you were honest, didnât even make it passed the living when you stumbled in Friday night.
When you werenâtâŠyou know, you were arguing. Not in a bad way. Miles was just being difficult regarding your space and Brandonâs visible imprint left on it. His solution was to throw everything in a dumpster and burn it.
You wanted to be nice about it and give his stuff back to him when you had the chance. Miles didnât like the nice option that he made very clear as he purged your drawers and closet of everything Brandon. You complained about him getting rid of the T-shirts you found comfy and in response he grunted, âYouâll wear mine instead.â
Which you were already doing.
You came to a compromise, that he would give the stuff back because he genuinely didnât want you speaking to him again.
Which you didnât really plan to do.
Monday came quicker than you would have liked, your alarm blaring in your ear. You grunted tiredly from where you had buried your head into your pillow, Miles was practically strewn on top of you, his head nestled between your shoulder blades, his arm locked around your bare waist with your legs intertwined. The blanket had slipped just passed your waist but hard to feel cold when always seemed to run so warm.
âTurn that shit off,â he complained and you sighed hand blindly reaching out for your phone pressing the volume keys to put that shit on snooze. He held you tighter and you all but melted against the mattress.
âWe need to get up,â you whispered.
âNo gracias.â
âThat wasnât a suggestion.â
He merely grunted and you sighed, âOne, two, cha, cha, cha,â you muttered and he groaned rolling off of you with a put out sigh.
Every part of you ached in the best way possible as you stretched your hands high above your head, miles drew close to you hands tracing your bare hips and you made a scolding sound. âNo more, I need a break you insatiable beast,â you smacked his hands away and crawled out of bed, your knees nearly buckling from underneath you.
Damn heâs good.
He barely left you alone for forty eight hours the only time he left was for less than fifteen minutes to go get a bag of clothes for the week. He hummed in amusement and you scowled at him. Stumbling towards the bathroom.
âCan I join?â
âYou can rot.â
He chuckled, chasing after you, âSo mean, mami.â
Amelia spent the entire morning lecture wiggling her eyebrows at you and Miles. She was having the time of her life at the your shamelessness. Miles having too much fun keeping his hands on you, on your thigh, around your waist over your shoulders and Amelia giggled every time you shot him warning look because he was getting way too bold.
âYou see I would ask you how your weekend was but I already know,â Mei sat across from at lunch and you shrugged unashamed as you and miles shared an order of egg fried noodles, his foot rhythmically tapping against an old cardboard box , âYou nasty.â
âJust because you spent your weekend aloneâ.â
âHow dare you!â She gasped just as Tyler ran over.
âGuys, you wonât believe the shit I just heard!â He set his tray down, âFranny has been talking some mad shit.â
âGood for her,â you hummed smacking Milesâ hand when he reached for your monster drink.
âNo, like to Brandon, she getting him all pumped up?â
You raised your brows, âPumped up? Brandon doesnât get pumped up.â
âYeah well when sheâs whispering in your ear all lecture about how your âGirlfriend is a two timing whore who left you for some monkey from the projectsââher words not mine!â He raised his hands in surrender as Miles and you shot him an annoyed look.
âAll that progress shot down the drain just like that,â Mei shook her head. âBoo, Franny.â
âBoo, Franny,â you and Tyler returned solemnly.
âLetâs see if they have the balls to repeat that to my face,â Miles stood suddenly grabbing the box full of Brandonâs things.
Tyler, Mei and Amelia watched him swagger off with wide eyes, âYou see, now I understand why you caved, damn,â Tyler whispered and you chuckled, keeping a weary eyes on him. He dropped the box on the table in front of Brandonâs food, cocking his head mockingly.
You couldnât hear what he said but with the way Brandonâs shoulders tensed and Frannyâs face fell clued you into the fact that it wasnât kind. He waited for a moment, daring for a response that never came. He smirked and tapped his finger against the table in farewell before finding his way back to you, making sure to drop a kiss on your lips as he did.
~~~~
âYou couldnât even do it yourself, wow,â Franny whispered as you walked past her observing the undergraduates taking their practice midterm. You stopped and gave her a look.
âNo talking during your test, Franny,â you scolded lightly and went to walk away.
âWhore,â she whispered and the student beside her released a strangled sound.
You smiled and crouched to her height, âAt least Iâm not a narcissistic bitch,â you took her test away and ripped it. âWhen I say no talking a mean it, you will be receiving a zero for the test, if you would like a second try please email Professor Jefferson,â you stood to your full height as she gaped at you, âSilence is golden, Franny.â You motioned for the door, âYou can leave.â
âYou canât do that.â
âI can, and please do leave, youâre disrupting the other students.â
âScrew you,â she huffed and left.
âIdiot.â
~~~~
Honestly, you were expecting shĂźt to hit that fan sooner than it did. There were some incidents here and there, like finding the word âWhoreâ spray painted on the hood of you car. Only they didnât spell it right âHoreâ and you were laughing too hard to be offended, it washed out with a single trip to the car wash.
Brandonâs roommates had been scared quiet by Milesâ viscous glare. It was Brandonâs silence that had you just a little weary.
You had been invited to a party over halfway through October and had dragged your half asleep boyfriend with you. Although he didnât seem quite sleepy when he joined you on the dance floor, pressed against you as you swung your hips to the music. You were having fun and you felt very giddy.
You were happy.
Like really happy.
Until Miles was shoved and you both stumbled at the sudden force.
âWatch it man!â Miles turned only for his head head to snap when a punch was thrown his way. He stood ridged and perplexed.
âBrandon what the fuck man?!â Jared the one who threw the party yelled.
He threw another punch and Miles stumbled, and Brandon took that opportunity to tackle your boyfriend to the ground.
âOh my god!â
For a moment you could just blink at the scene before a sudden surge of anger swelled in your ribcage that fucker.
âYou think you can just steal my girlfriend you bastard?!â
He went to swing at the grinning Miles a third time before you surged forward and kicked him in the chest. Sending him toppling off Miles who shot to his feet. You gripped miles by the arm and turn him to get a look at the damage, Brandon was a pretty shitty shot. âYou okay?â
âIâm fine.â
All Miles had was rumpled clothes and a split lip.
Still the sight of it filled you with a sudden rage. Perhaps you were stupid enough to believe that Brandon wouldnât retaliate so childishly but you were wrong.
You stepped in front of Miles as Brandon stood to go at him again, you pulled your hand back fist clenched and threw a punch straight at his nose, sending him toppling,âPuto!â
Miles laughed as you surged forward to hit your ex again, only for your boyfriend to wrap an arm around your waist to drag you away. âFucker!â You yelled as Brandon struggled to get to his feet, âStay down before I pop your ass again, bitch! Who do you think you are?! Laying hands my man?!â
âYou crazy bitch!â Franny came stumbling out of the crowd helping Brandon to his feet.
âShut your bitch ass up! Iâll knock out your fake teeth!â
âPor favor podrĂas calmarte y dejar a la pobre chica en paz,â Miles chuckled as he dragged out of the party.
You were fuming as you left the house unable to stop yourself from pouting viscously as you fussed over him. âIâm fine, mami,â he chuckled kissing your cheeks. âYouâre so cute.â
âIâm not cute.â
âSexy,â he hummed kissing your lips and you wavered, âIt doesnât hurt, kiss it better for me, yeah?â He pressed his lips to yours and you kissed him deeply. âI appreciate you, mami.â
âDo you?â
âMhm, letâs go home and I can show you how much.â
âPromise.â
âI swear on my life,â he pressed his fingers into your hips and you giggled with a squeak ripping away from him to sprint down the lawn.
âWhere do you think youâre going, mami? I just got you back youâre not going anywhere!â He chased after you leaving the damage you caused behind as giggled.
And you didnât, you never went far and even when you did he was never too far behind you.
This is the end.

I'm sorry but the image of Kevin Feige just texting a frowny emoji to a teeny tiny teenager who keeps bullying him for not paying attention to comics is cracking me up

Urgent Appeal for a Hearing Aid for My S Mother
I am writing to you today as the son of a mother who has endured unimaginable suffering. My name is Youssef, and I am seeking your support to help my mother, who lost her hearing in her right ear as a result of the brutal siege and airstrikes in Gaza. The war has taken so much from her, but the loss of her hearing has been one of the most devastating consequences.
My mother, once full of life and able to communicate freely, now faces the daily struggle of isolation and silence. A hearing aid is her only chance of regaining some semblance of normalcy, but the cost of such a device ranges from $1500 to $2000 â an amount that is beyond our financial means due to the ongoing hardships we are enduring.
I am humbly reaching out to you, knowing that you are people of compassion and kindness, to help us provide this essential aid for my mother. Your generous support will not only restore her ability to hear but also allow her to regain a sense of connection to the world around her.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will have a profound impact on improving her life and giving her back her dignity. We trust in your generosity and hope that you will answer our call, as you have always done for those in need.
May Allah bless you all with health, peace, and prosperity.

"empowering women by sending katy perry to space for 2 minutes" shut the fuck up. samantha cristoforetti was the first female commander of the international space station and she became an astronaut because of star trek. and there is a real chance she is a kirk/spock shipper
Hello,đ
We are a family from Gaza consisting of seven members. The occupation destroyed our ambitions and dreams and everything we owned from homes, money and factories that were built for us. My ambition was to become a doctor, but for two years we have not studied because of the damned war on Gaza. We went to Egypt to feel safe and to study, me and my brothers, but here was the surprise that was not expected. We wanted to enter Egyptian public schools because of the financial situation that became zero after the destruction of everything we owned, but public schools require residency and we do not have residency. We thought about private schools, but we found them expensive and we cannot afford their costs. We launched this campaign and we hope that the gap will not be closed in our face again. With your help, we hope to learn. Thank you to every person who supports us and feels our humanitarian circumstances. We hope to rise with your help. May God bless you and make you happy.
