I want to see my face through the eyes of a stranger whom I pass upon city streets in flurried indifference. Would I stop long enough to penetrate the desperation of our two halves intended in union?

Would these alien hands reach through the reflection of time’s oracle and recognize her extension of me as worthy?

Would I observe her dark features, proclaim her beauty (not in the insufficiency of face nor hands), but in the caramelized voice blended in words?

Would my soul resonate with the me in she, and summon her home to my heart?
