“AH!!!”
Flinging my arms in the air, I accidentally spill punch on the grey carpet.
“Aw fuck, hey Witch, make a damn noise next time so I don’t end up staining the carpet.”
Leaning down to clean the carpet, Witch stops me.
“Doesn’t matter, there's someone I’m excited for you to meet.”
Gesturing behind herself, a black woman with glowing orange sunshine skin leans forward with her hands behind her back. We all stare in silence, unsure if anything is supposed to happen. Annoyed, Witch nudges the girl with her elbow.
“Come on Sunflower, introduce yourself.”
The girl sits up straight, her bright blue eyes wide.
“Oh, I thought you were introducing me.”
“Well you thought wrong, come on you’re a big girl. Can’t possibly be that challenging, roight?”
Chuckling as she covers her mouth, the girl shoves Witch’s head with ease as she’s about taller than Witch but shorter than me.
“Ayy alright, alright hahaha. My name is Sunflower, I’m from London and have been living with Witch for… a few months? Yeah.”
“Ohhh London Ohio or London Ontario?”
Everyone stares at me with their mouths agape. Except Mako, he has a mask on. Dumbfounded Sunflower pushes her long wavey hair back, dyed orange on the top of her head and changing to purple halfway down.
“U-um, London England?”
“OOOOOOOHHHHHHH FUCK MATE!!!”
“Haha well, I guess that's an easy mistake to make.”
Slowly her eyes look at my costume up and down, as if to take her time pondering.
“Are you…a veterinarian?”
“Oh what, Mako here is my big green mutt?”
Pointing my thumb behind me to Mako, it catches him a bit off guard as he holds two plates of party snacks.
“Hm? What are you guys talking about?”
Mako focuses his attention on the conversation as he hands me a plate of food. The purple paper plate has a row of crackers along the edge with cheese and meat to complete the circle. In the center, there is a pile of pretzel sticks and a green vanilla cupcake. Instantly Mako takes the treat from my hand and sets it back down on the plate.
“Come on Jamison, you’re gonna be drinking your face off so eat smartly.”
“Siiiigh, ok mate. But only cause it’s you saying it.”

Chapter 2
Preview
My sleep is disturbed by the noise of my apartment buzzer, I drowsily check my phone. 7:10 am, Jesus fuck, I was supposed to wake up an hour ago!!! Stumbling out of bed, I make my way to the speaker butt-naked!!!
"MAKO!!! Uhhh good morning, mate?"
"I've been trying to get you up for like 10 minutes, how heavy of a sleeper are you?"
"Damn, I didn't realize heh. Well, I'll buzz you up, but give me a minute to shower. Wanna look nice and sparkly for ya."
I gather my clothes and run into the shower. Cleaning every inch of my body I could as I simultaneously brush my teeth. Unfortunately, got soap in my mouth, so I tried to rinse my mouth with shower water. Spitting and coughing like a cigarette-addicted smoker. When I get out of the shower I don’t bother to brush my hair and start getting dressed. I wear a black long-sleeve that has Shadow the Hedgehog on the front, and a pair of baggy jeans shorts that cut off at the knee, I belt the shorts and put on some plain socks with a red stripe around the top.
Exiting the bathroom I see Mako sitting on the floor. Looking down at his outfit he has a black bomber jacket that has pins and patches, a pair of baggy pants, and some DC shoes. Glancing back at his face and his mask is the same as usual, with the cute pig face on the side. His dark eyes have some messy eyeliner and his silver hair is down. Fidgeting with the gold rings on his right hand, he also tugs his fingerless glove on the other hand to make sure it's on tight.
"Mako, why are you on the floor?"
"I didn't want to break your bed…”
Getting up, his eyes wander around.
“…your room is cleaner than I thought it would be and smaller too. You should do laundry though."
"Hey, I don't look like the type of guy to have a messy room right?"
Grumbling to myself, we crowd around the exit.
“Also the laundry mat is temporarily closed.”
Slinging my bag over my shoulder, I put on my steel-toe shoes. It’s a brown exercise bag that I thrifted years ago that carries all my shit. Such as my knife, protein bars, pain medication so it doesn’t feel like my nerve endings are being ripped out in my arm and leg, my phone, headphones, and napkins. Anything the average Aussie bloke wouldn’t complain about.
"You kinda do, considering your workbench. Saw you clean that like five times yesterday. Expected a bomb would’ve gone off in your room."
Impulsively I kick Mako in the shin with my steel-toe shoes.
"JESUS, ARE THOSE THE ONLY FUCKIN SHOES YOU OWN!?!!"
Jumping up, he holds his shin.
"Yeah, what about them? Well, I got some runners but I don’t want to wear them."
Vengefully he kicks me in the shin back.
“OW, WHAT THE FUCK!?!!”
"Shall we get going?"
Holding the door open like a cocky fuckin cunt, we both stumble out holding our shins. When we make it out he opens the passenger car door like I'm a princess.
“Oh, Mako you shouldn’t have!!!”
Jokingly I sway my hips as I grip the strap of my bag like a girl, cheekily grinning. Without warning he cups my face into his hand, the surprise embrace causes my heart to skip a beat.
“M-my Mako, you’re becoming more out of pocket by the second.”

saw v to me is just a huge allegory for being gay idc. strahm at all times going insane over hoffman, obsessing over him at every waking hour, fucking talking to himself in empty rooms as if he was there with him, going to the places he might've killed at, literally abandoning all his rational judgement and thinking just for the possibility of getting his hands on him, his final words to hoffman being "i know who you are" while hoffman is in a literal glass coffin???
plus, the way hoffman as a character has to deal with his two worlds: working as a detective and being a jigsaw apprentice. him having to put on a mask of normalcy, only really being himself when is working with john. him having this consistent and innate fear of being "caught". and the way he can't bring himself to look at strahm's death!! also, you cannot tell me hoffman’s dick didn’t immediately stand up when he saw that strahm managed to escape his trap. he wanted that cookie so effing bad.
